In this article, we will discuss five free Windows applications that every user should have on their computer. These applications are essential for keeping your computer running smoothly and securely.

One of the first programs I always install when I first boot up Windows is VLC media player. This software allows you to play pretty much any audio or video file you can find. The program also runs with hardware acceleration and has many other nice features as far as playback is concerned.

I have found that VLC is particularly useful when it comes to playing back videos quickly. **TrueCrypt: Advanced File Encryption**

If you're looking for something to keep your files secure and safe, I highly recommend using TrueCrypt. This software allows you to encrypt all of your files, including your entire system disk or specific folders that you want to protect. The encryption is very advanced and makes it extremely difficult for anyone without the password to access your files.

One final application that I want to mention is Superar Monitor, which can be found on the bottom left of the taskbar in Windows 7. This small utility allows you to see what's going on with your CPU load without having to pull up a widget or open Task Manager. While it may not seem like a big deal at first, I've found that this little application has been incredibly useful for me.

Unfortunately, Superar Monitor is only available in Windows 7, so if you're using a different version of Windows, you won't be able to use this utility. However, if you do have Windows 7 and are looking for a way to monitor your CPU load without having to pull up additional windows or widgets, I highly recommend checking out Superar Monitor.

that allow you to really customize and fine-tune exactly how you want to create your photos or any other graphic design work now if you already use Photoshop there's no real reason to change over to Photoshop still does have some higher-end features and generally it seems to work a little bit better it's got a little bit of a better UI but overall if you're looking for something free and you just need to do some moderate uh photoshopping and whatnot uh is definitely going to be a great choice another very useful program is C cleaner now C cleaner is a general utility that helps you speed up your computer and get rid of all the junk so not only does it handle the standard system application such as getting rid of temporary files and whatnot but it also will take care of your various third party applications such as browsers um you know Flash Player there's a wide variety and what it does is just cleans up the added junk the temporary files all that kind of stuff that you don't need now it also does have a Registry Cleaner I generally don't like to recommend that you would use these but of course it is there if you ever decide that you need it um but probably one of my favorite
