**The Top Tablets of 2013: A Year of Innovation and Variety**

As we take a look back at the top tablets of 2013, it's clear that this was a year marked by innovation and variety. The market saw the release of new devices that catered to different needs and preferences, from budget-friendly options to premium models with advanced features.

**The Experia Tablet Z: A Premium Build**

One of the standout devices of 2013 was the Experia Tablet Z. With its sleek design and IP57 dust and water-resistant body, this tablet stood out from the crowd. Its unique selling point was its ability to withstand harsh environments, making it a great option for those who wanted a device that could keep up with their active lifestyle. The Experia Tablet Z's premium build and features made it a popular choice among tech enthusiasts.

**The LG GPad 8.3: A Sweet Spot in the Middle**

Coming in at number three was the LG GPad 8.3. This tablet found its sweet spot between the small 7-inch devices and the larger 10-inch options. Its 8.3-inch screen size provided a comfortable viewing experience, while its aluminum brushed back finish gave it a premium feel. The device also featured an iBlaster, expandable storage, and a Google Play edition, making it a well-rounded option.

**A Tie for Number Two: The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and the iPad Air**

We had a tie for number two, with both the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition) and the iPad Air vying for top spot. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 was praised for its high pixel density, powerful Snapdragon 800 processor, and expandable storage. Additionally, its S Pen feature and advanced multitasking capabilities made it a great option for those who needed a device with specific features. On the other hand, the iPad Air continued Apple's legacy of producing high-quality tablets, offering a lightweight design and an A76 chip. While it lacked Touch ID, the iPad Air still offered an optimized app range and a comfortable user experience.

**The Google Nexus 7 (2013 Edition): The People's Choice**

Finally, we had the Google Nexus 7 (2013 edition), which came out on top with 54% of the votes. This device built upon last year's success by offering a higher pixel density, improved design, and stock Android. Its compact size and lightweight build made it easy to carry around, while its price point was significantly lower than that of the iPad Air. With updates directly from Google and a wide range of optimized apps, the Google Nexus 7 proved itself to be an excellent choice for those looking for a high-quality tablet without breaking the bank.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up YouTube saf you're on super saf TV so a few weeks ago I did a video of my top five smartphones of 2013 if you do want to go ahead and check that video out a link will be in the description below now following on from that video a lot of you were asking for a similar video with the top five tablets of 2013 as well now personally speaking although I do use tablets I'm not a heavy tablet user so I thought this time we do something a littleit different and I had to ask you guys what your top tablets of 2013 are and use that information to put together this list so what I did yesterday is on Facebook Twitter go+ and Instagram I posted out the question what is your top tablet of 2013 and I've gathered all the votes from all the social media channels to bring this video and if you AR following me on all those social media channels then be sure to go ahead and check those out links will be in the description below so you can be involved in more of these votes under this way there's no complaints because this is voted for by the audience this is not my personal preference here and the Fanboys won't be getting too upset that their device may or may not be in this list hopefully so without any further Ado do hit that thumbs up button and let's get straight to it coming in at number five with 6% of your votes is the iPad Mini with red display the iPad Mini 2 now this continues on from the success of the iPad Mini one and to a certain extent includes lots of the things that were missing with the original iPad the most important of which is that Retina display the iPad Mini 1 the biggest disappointment was the fact that it didn't have a high pixel density display and now you've got the A7 64-bit chip which make this a very fast and smooth tablet I think one of the reasons why this isn't high in the list is because of the price you're looking at £339 here in the UK or $399 in the US so that's roughly about $100 less or roughly about 60 lb less than the original iPad so especially for a tablet of the smaller form Factor it is quite pricey now coming in at number four with 7% of your votes is the Sony Xperia Tablet Z this has a very sleek and a premium build just as with the other Experia devices now this tablet did release early in the year and at the time it was the thinnest full-size tablet available and the unique selling point of this tablet is that it's ip57 dust and water resistant so unlike any of the other tablets on this list you can take the xeria Tablet Z into the shower with you if that's what you'd like to do coming in at number three with 8% of your votes is the LG gPad 8.3 now this was a very popular choice for a lot of you out there I think it comes down to the screen size it's at a sweet spot if you think the 7-in tablets were a little bit too small and the 10-in tablets are a little bit too big this is a nice sweet spot with the 8.3 in screen and with the aluminum brushed back finish it does make it feel really premium you've got an i Blaster as well as expandable storage and now you've also got a Google Play Play edition which appeals to a lot of people out there now we've got a tie at number two so we've got a joint number two place here firstly with 133% of the votes is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 which is the 2014 edition now Samsung as with a lots of their other devices have absolutely packed this with specs and features you've got a very high pixel density 299 PPI you've got Snapdragon 800 processor 3 GB of RAM and you've also got expandable storage something that not too many other devices offered these days that along with the S Pen feature as well as some of the most advanced multitasking features makes this a great choice now also coming in at number two with 13% of your votes is the iPad Air now the original iPad pretty much popularized and created the tablet market and the iPad line is still the most dominant in terms of tablet sales and the iPad Air continues on from that success making things a lot more compact so it's the lightest full-size tablet out there at the moment and once again with that a76 for orbit chip and the largest range of optimized apps for any tablet this still is one of the most comfortable options for most users could it have had Touch ID yes I think it could have but I think Apple wanted to keep this just for the iPhone 5s at least for this year to make it a little bit more unique and the best tablet of 2013 as voted for by the viewers with a whopping 54% of your votes is the Google Nexus 7 2013 edition personally this is also my favorite now last year the Google Nexus 7 was introduced and it was the first tablet that I actually reviewed on the channel and it sent shockwaves in the tablet Market by offering a very high spec tablet at an extremely low price and the Google Nexus 7 2013 edition continues on from that success but just improves things massively one of the highest pixel densities of any tablet out there at the moment in a very Compact and lightweight design and it's got stock Google Android so you're going to be getting updates directly from Google without having to wait for any third party and just to put icing on the cake the Google Nexus 7 is less than half the price of the iPad Air making this an absolute bargain so there we have it the top five tablets of 2013 as voted for by the audience was your device on here was it not do drop me a comment below and let me know and do also let me know which tablet you'll be looking most forward to in 2014 as I mentioned if you
