The $1000 Gaming PC You Can Build RIGHT NOW! [The Anti Scalper PC Build w_ Benchmarks!]
**Building a Powerful Gaming PC with the MSI 1660 Super**
For up to a 30 60 Ti or 6700 XT, this 1660 Super from MSI is not to be underestimated. On your screen now is a snapshot of the performance we were able to achieve and we'll delve deeper into this a little bit later. Plus, with MSI's really nice Twin Frozen Seven cooling design and six gigabytes of GDDR6 VRAM, it's a really great option. A metal back plate and a compact form factor are going to work well for this build, and as I say, there's still plenty of room for upgradeability later down the line.
Let's go ahead and get it installed by pushing back the retention clip on the PCIe slot and then slide the GPU into place. Oh yes, look at that, and the build is almost done. There's one more component though we do need to cover off before we wrap the build process up, and that is of course, the power supply. This is Callender Masters MWE 650, a fully modular 80 Plus Gold certified unit with 650 watts of capacity enough wattage to upgrade to a 30 60 or 30 60 Ti later on even a 30 70 if you want to push the limits just a little bit. It's a really quiet design and you only plug in the cables you need, which is a huge upside for cable management.
Talking to which, let's get all the cables plugged in, get the side panels on, and then boot this system up to see just how well it performs in the biggest titles out there. First though, let's see how good it looks when it's all powered up in an epic glam montage. Hit that like button but roll the montage awesome stuff now we've seen just how good this system looks when it's all powered up, let's take a dive into the land of performance.
**Performance Testing**
On your screen now is a summary a snapshot view of all the 15 plus games we tested out alongside our CPU and GPU temperature numbers in a wide range of titles. This system was very impressive and it's easy to forget actually how powerful a 1660 Super still is in 2021. Let's take a closer look at some of the games today though, kicking things off with GTA 5. The first of our focus titles, it performed well at 1080p high settings with 122fps on average tested out in the game's inbuilt benchmarking mode. It looks pretty fantastic and of course, the fact we've used the benchmark mode means you guys can replicate this on your existing systems at home to see just how much better this PC performs.
**Call of Duty: Warzone**
Next up was Call of Duty: Warzone, tested out in the new map update. Thankfully, this new map doesn't make the game too much harder to run and that was seen with our performance figures at 1080p high settings we've got 99fps on average with 90 and 81fps for the 90th and the 99th percentile results. It's a similarly positive story in Apex Legends where we got just shy of 130 frames per second on average at 1080p high settings with 114 and 99 for the 90th and the 99th percentile results.
**Valorant**
Next up was Valorant, probably the easiest of the focus titles today but still a very popular game in 2021. And here we're looking specifically around 210 frames per second on average at 1080p high settings which is a really impressive showing. Next up is Cyberpunk 2077 quite the opposite to Valorant and then it's really incredibly difficult to run here at 1080p high settings still with some of the anti-aliasing tuned down and of course no ray tracing support we've got 61fps on average with respectable 90 and 99 percent results. This machine does get you into the world of Cyberpunk 2077 it's still a notoriously hard game to run though so any system is not going to fare that well here and that brings us nicely onto the last game today.
**Fortnite**
Finally, we have Fortnite, where systems are going to fare a little bit better. Here at 1080p competitive settings whereby you tune all of your options down to low but set the render distance to far and render resolution to 100 we've got 181 frames per second on average with 168 and 149 for the 90th and the 99th percentile results giving you that extra high frame rate in Fortnite should help you to secure that all-important win on what is really quite a powerful 1,000 gaming PC build but on that note that pretty much wraps it up for today's video if you did enjoy it give it a big old like button and make sure to get subscribed thanks for watching though and we'll see you in the next one
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat is up guys welcome back to another geeker video and in this video i'm going to be building an awesome 1 000 gaming pc build for 2021. i'm gonna run you through all the parts that i chose and why and how you guys can get your hands on them right now put this system together from start right through to finish and then test out the performance of the build today seeing what kind of frame rates you can get in the most popular titles and before anyone asks yes we will be benchmarking fortnite so without any further ado let's dive into it after a quick word from today's video sponsor the corsair k70 rgb tenkeyless champion series keyboard is one of corsair's latest releases and builds a keyboard in an awesome tenkeyless form factor the champion range has been specifically developed with top esports pros and builds on years of testing rgb can be easily customized in corsair iq as usual while durable pbt double shot keycaps and cherry mx switches guaranteed for 100 million keystrokes keep you on top of your game learn more at the link in the description below let's kick today's build off by installing as many components into the motherboard as possible this video isn't going to be a full tutorial but we have got one of those coming so make sure you subscribe and you don't miss it this though is the msi b550m mortar board it's a really great value micro atx b550 board that supports all of the latest ryzen chips even up to the top end 5950x that's right this board is capable of housing a ryzen 9 if you wanted to upgrade later down the line as i say with the am4 socket four ram dim slots support for gen 4 nvme drives and then also a built-in rear i o shield it ticks all the boxes really nicely i'm going to be coupling it with the cpu choice for today's system amd's ryzen 5 3600. this chip ticks all the boxes we're big fans of the new 5600x ryzen chip but at around 110 more expensive i'd stick with this one for the time being amd have well and truly taken the cpu crown from intel once and for all in 2021 but there are a few things to note about ryzen cpus and they're important when you go and choose your memory or your ram you want to make sure you've got a 3600 megahertz kit or even faster and you also want to make sure you've got two ram dims or more ryzen loves dual channel memory and it loves fast memory speeds so make sure you get those right you might lose 15 or even 20 fps if you don't go for fast dual channel memory so it's really important this kit of corsair's brand new vengeance rgb pro sl ticks all the boxes and looks fantastic with a nice rgb heat spreader and a price that actually doesn't break the bank the next component to install into the motherboard is our storage and in our case we've gone for seagate's barracuda 510. this is an m.2 ssd which means it just secures straight onto the motherboard no cables or wiring to deal with and it's a gen 3 drive it's not quite as fast as the new gen 4 drives but they're very expensive and this drive has speeds of up to about 3 gigabytes per second as we tested on your screen now so it's gonna do a great job for today's build regular viewers of the channel will know what's coming next the teeny tiny screwdriver needs to be retrieved in order to just take out this fastening screw on the motherboard we're going to use the top m.2 slot for this system it doesn't really make much of a difference but it will be on show and look nice and pretty in the build today go ahead and secure it back down with that one screw nice and easy and then we can go ahead and move on to the last part of the motherboard assembly it is of course the cpu call-out now picking a caller for your cpu in 2021 it's a little bit of a difficult task there's lots of options out there for a build like this i wouldn't recommend a high-end 240mm liquid cooler it's just completely pointless you're better off putting the money into a higher end cpu an air cooler is also a good option but the stock caller is perhaps the best value choice for a system like this it comes included for free with the latest ryzen cpus and does a superb job of keeping the chip cool enough for the latest games plus the fact you don't have to pay for it saves you about 30 dollars which you can put somewhere else in your system a win-win all around with the motherboard assembly now nice and complete we can go ahead and move it into the case this is cooler masters mb 320 al and it's one of the best cases i have ever used it's a pocket rocket a budget masterpiece and it's a solid 10 out of 10. but why is it so good well it's really really cheap for starters but has some fantastic build quality metals are thick and rigid and really quite solid you can get it in either an acrylic or a mesh variant and you get some nice rgb fans included as standard plus with a nice little power supply shield real tempered glass side panel and a form factor that's just really easy to work with it does everything really well especially at its super budget price point let's go ahead and remove the case side panel first of all there we go that was nice and simple and then we can go ahead and just slide the completed motherboard into place the rear i o shield comes included and pre-mounted which makes this step a lot easier and helps you to guide the board into place all in all keeping things nice and simple that brings us nicely onto the penultimate component for today's system the graphics card now buying a graphics card in 2021 is seemingly the most difficult part of any build and this 1660 super might just be a good solution because of how much money we were able to save with great value components in the rest of the build you should be able to pick up a used 1660 super on ebay and still fit within this builds 1 000 budget obviously it doesn't make me very happy to spend 450 on a 1660 super but given rtx cards are going for the thousands it suddenly doesn't seem like such a bad deal if you want to get gaming in 2021 plus the whole build has been designed so that when you can get your hands on a new gpu you haven't got to upgrade any of the other components the ram the ssd the cpu the power supply they're all good to go for up to a 30 60 ti or 6700 xt this 1660 super from msi is not to be underestimated though on your screen now is a snapshot of the performance we were able to achieve and we'll delve deeper into this a little bit later plus with msi's really nice twin frozen seven cooling design and six gigabytes of gddr6 vram it's a really great option a metal back plate and a compact form factor are going to work well for this build and as i say there's still plenty of room for upgradeability later down the line let's go ahead and get it installed push back the retention clip on the pcie slot and then go ahead and slide the gpu into place oh yes look at that and the build is almost done there's one more component though we do need to cover off before we wrap the build process up and take a look at performance that is of course the power supply and this is caller masters mwe 650. it's a fully modular 80 plus gold
