EIBOS 3D Printer Filament Dryer Save Your Filament! -- LGH

I got a bit of a mess here so I had to lay it like that, so as long as the fan is not blocked, you're okay and it's speeding in and doing its thing, so we'll see what it turns out like and we'll go from there, okay guys? So the only way we're really gonna see the uh differences between these two pieces from the ancient eye. I see a couple things but it's not clear enough and I'm going to use my video magnifier microscope whatever you wish to call these things.

I picked one up, got two uh one without screen and this one, uh, I can't figure out how to record on here so it's going out to my PC as a webcam in the end, I usually like seeing it all here but that is what it is, we're going to start with this guy here. Now this is the first piece, this is the piece that has the bit of black from the printer from before what was left in the thing anyway.

Um, what we're going to notice here actually I can see perfectly right now is stringing happening right here in the eye but what was really unique and what really bothered me uh one was a little weird warp in the mouth which doesn't look so bad when you see it under the microscope but as a visual thing you see it. Okay, so these end pieces and it just keeps on going they're everywhere, look at this.

So the old plastic looks like there's some bleeding here right there on the top part here see the little string um so that tells me that the you know overall it's not a horrible print by any means if you're just giving it away or whatever but at the same time this is pretty crazy seeing these little knick-kack thingies on the bottom here.

So now we're going to go from this piece and we're going to go to this piece, now this is the new piece, okay so right off the bat yes we do have a little flaw right here but that's almost where it ends. The mouth has no warping the edges are clean, okay guys, where do I rank this what do I think of the unit overall overall I think this unit is actually a plus I mean keep in mind that on those little smiley faces shall we say Smileys there was little differences that actually made a difference.

Um on something so small can you imagine if we were printing something big now I didn't want to take a week to try and do the review on this I wanted to print the Smileys one they're quick two, I didn't know if I'd actually see a difference between them and to see it actually shocked me because it's so small that I did not believe it was possible.

So anyway, I'm going to take out this white crap and put in my black roll that has been sitting on my printer for we could say months. I gotta say overall I was gonna leave the Smileys in there, there we go, I can say overall and I mean I could do a follow-up if anybody asks see this, we're back to 39 humidity and that's because of course it's been off overnight I don't I didn't leave it running uh I don't know if I want to do that I think I'll just bring it down as I need it uh four hours prior to printing or whatever the case may be.

And of course, you got all your selections you can come out here or you can come out here so guys, I have to say that I have proof I think this thing is awesome I wouldn't have believed it until I tried it and and it's really cool. I'm I'm very impressed it is something uh we lead people of 3D printing need to look forward to seeing down the road because I don't know how to store my rolls technically they should be stored in a controlled environment, and that is exactly what this is.

So guys, I'll leave an affiliate link down below, and I say affiliate because if you buy it, it doesn't cost you any extra money it just helps the channel and helps me be able to continue doing these type of reviews for you. So until next time, guys, I hope this really helps out anybody in the 3D printing world game over

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwelcome back everyone to a really neat addition and this is because we're going to look at the e-boss I I don't know if I say it right the e-boss series X S dry now what this is is a manufacturer that manufactured the actual units not a person I guess buying from another developer this is the real deal and they reached out and asked if I was interested and it's not a page or a sponsored video in any way this is up to me to say what I want to say make it clear and uh but they did send the product for free now what it is is if you're like me you tend to leave your spindle of pla or Peck G or whatever on the outside in the open on your printer for ever and I am no stranger to that I'm really bad for it and it does somewhat affect of course you're printing you could get bubbling you could get cracks you could get stringy weirdness all kinds of weird things can happen and in some cases uh just not sitting on the plate proper so what this does this takes the humidity moisture out of that plastic keeps it at a nice temp and then feeds it out to your printer box it doesn't feed it out but it has a feed out hole here and here that allow you to go to your 3D printer so what I'm going to do now I'm going to open this show you guys what we have here and why this is so cool and and why it's important for 3D printer users would like to point out that it is a really well packed so you don't have to worry because it does have Plexi uh for the sides so nicely packed no damage okay so we are greeted with the e-boss uh and there's your website so it's uh again I'm sorry if I don't say it right but it's e-boss3d.com um and you can see in here you have all your uh needed instructions to set this up and what you need to do and for what settings now I'm going to pull this open which is a little see this a little latch right here when I pull it that goes down and out this comes so that is now oh wow that's cool it's double pane that's actually really neat I mean that that takes a lot of extra r d there why is it double pane right maybe it's very important that it's double pane we don't know so your power cord is inside here okay and based on I guess your country uh your power cord will be different I believe that this thing can do both 120 and 240 yep so you don't have to worry about that and inside here you'll see this tube now this tube is just to make a clean pass-through on these holes here you see so you would clip that this this tube can last you a very long time so depending on what output you're using you want a tube here so that way your filament is not going through rubber example here is this old wow you could look at this okay that's what I'm talking about see what happens to stuff when it's hopefully the camera's getting that hey I see that this has just been sitting around it's all chewed up looking but anyway if you're inside and you're putting your pla or whatever you're using patchy whatever through here it it could not necessarily get stuck but uh pause like you don't want it going through the rubber whereas if you were going through the tube right here um it is so much smoother and and just no no uh friction whatsoever maybe I should try and see if I can fix this this is just absolutely horrendous I'll give you an idea this is what came with my printer and it was crap right from the start I could not barely use it so you know what maybe we'll try printing with it without this maybe I'll put this in here just for fun and see what happens 42 percent wow so that's cool it tells your humidity level so once this is in and closed we'll know the humidity of pretty much this and and uh we'll see how how much it drops after again I'm gonna try and see if I can print something small but something with some you know flat detail and see what it looks like like this and then we'll put it in here let the humidity take care of it uh dry it out heat and warm it up print again and see what we get so here's what's really nice about this so evos is nothing just a logo then you go here you're at pla TPU now what what this is important about this is how this changes okay of what it's going to do and there's abs all right and then pet G now pet G for me has been an absolute pain in the butt so maybe pet G coming out of this will change things for me and I'm not sure what PC and Par that's not a format I've used but I do know the rest of it and abs is kind of cool having that feature on here okay guys I'm showing you that it's recording off just the spool and it is recording somewhere underneath there I got a good idea how we're gonna look at this when it's done for both prints but I just want you to know what's going on so you know I'm not fooling you but this is the spool not inside that unit and this is the print happening right now okay guys as you can see this is now printed this is all still on that not inside the machine just loose old stuff that's been lying around for about I'd say a year and a half two years so we got the first print look how we should look at this it just looks like eating anyway uh the first print is done you're probably not going to see the true true quality one easy way to tell that it's the first print is there was still some black left over in the thing after I pushed it out still on the back so this new one should probably not have any of that there but anyway um I noticed things on here that I want to see if they go away and I know the camera's not going to see that right now but I will have a toy coming out to show you hopefully differences between the look it got lost differences between the first print and after we put it in here now another thing that I want to talk about when we do this is remember I said we're going to have to cut this so we want to do that and I'm going to have it come out of the top here and then I'm going to probably go up around my spool I just I'm trying to figure out a decent way to get that to happen so I'm going to get something to cut this like I say you don't need very much of it you just need enough to say and and another thing I'm going to do I'm going to squeeze it this way a little bit without cutting it because when you cut them you do tend to put a crease in there when you put a crease in there that can be a bottleneck so here's what we're going to do this is going on here I guess I'm just going to clip off this crap because well I don't want it really coming out of here but I do want some of the crap coming out so I'm going to just let it sit like that for now and we're going to put the cover back on and if I'm correct this is still getting us so it should be uh we're going to put this on pla because that's what we're doing and now I'm going to plug this in leave it for a bit and again now you have lots of extra tubing now we're going to leave that for a nice while and I'll get back to filming and then we'll see what the humidity is it's 39 right now let's see how down that goes and uh see what happens when we do a print okay so I'm gonna show you guys that we went from 39 humidity Wells so what one thing you need to know look in your manual because pla should sit for four hours everything else is pretty much two hours but not pla okay so four hours before it just dropped to 10 actually wow oh went back to 12. it's just bouncing around that area but anyway that's still pretty amazing so now I'm going to hook this up to the printer run it out through here and do the exact same print we did and I have this guy here just to show all the flaws and see what the difference is between the two okay guys so as you can see here I'm printing again and if you watch the line it's going into here one thing to make sure you don't do and that is block this okay I got a bit of a mess here so I had to lay it like that so as long as the fan is not blocked you're okay and it's speeding in and doing its thing so we'll see what it turns out like and we'll go from there okay guys so the only way we're really gonna see the uh differences between these two pieces from the ancient eye I see a couple things but it's not clear
