**Washi Tape Review: A Steal at $1 Each**
As a planner enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for unique and functional washi tape to enhance my spreads. Recently, I stumbled upon a set of washi tapes that caught my eye - they were 50% off, making them an incredible deal at just $1 each. The sets included various patterns, including polka dots, arrows with black embellishments, and more. In this article, I'll dive into the details of these washi tapes and why I'm so excited about this find.
**The Set**
I initially purchased a set that included a mix of colors and patterns. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the polka dot pattern was one that I'd never seen before. The pattern itself is quite unique, but unfortunately, I couldn't identify its name. This made me even more excited to incorporate it into my spreads. The arrows with black embellishments were another highlight of the set - they added a touch of sophistication and elegance to any design.
**Comparison to Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby**
Before diving into the details of this particular washi tape set, I wanted to compare its value to other sources. I found that similar patterns from Dollar Tree were available at a lower price point, but the quality and uniqueness of these specific tapes made them a worthwhile investment. Additionally, I checked with Hobby Lobby, which offers washi tapes in various styles and patterns. However, their prices are typically higher than what I found here.
**The Price**
When I first saw the discounted price of $1 each, I thought it was too good to be true. But as I calculated the math, it became clear that this set offered an incredible deal. With 10 yards of washi tape for just $1, the value is unparalleled compared to other sources. For comparison, a similar amount of washi from Hobby Lobby might cost upwards of $5-6.
**Quality and Value**
One of the things that stands out about this washi tape set is the quality of the paper itself. The texture and feel are excellent, making it perfect for use in planner spreads. The adhesive is also strong and reliable, ensuring that the tapes stay in place even when used with ink or other media. While some might question whether a dollar is worth it for washi tape, I firmly believe that this set offers exceptional value.
**Using the Tapes**
I had already prepared my next week's spread, incorporating elements from my craft stash, including a smash book, birthday stickers, and scrapbook paper. The new washi tapes will add an extra layer of fun and visual interest to the design. I'm excited to experiment with different combinations of patterns and colors to create unique and eye-catching spreads.
**Conclusion**
In conclusion, this washi tape set is a steal at $1 each. The quality of the paper, uniqueness of the patterns, and exceptional value make it an excellent addition to any planner enthusiast's collection. I highly recommend checking out similar sets on sale at Hobby Lobby or other craft stores, but be prepared to act quickly - these deals won't last long!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys so today I want to share with you a very small haul that I figured you probably would want to see you will be seeing these items and so I really do like to show you the things that I buy because I end up using them for future videos so I figured you know this makes sense right I did another small little haul at the target dollar spot I realized target dollar spot probably functions a lot like my dollar trees where they keep bringing new stuff in probably every week every other week so I went back just to see what they had and found some really great things and some exciting finds with washi tape so I want to share those things with you I do have a couple of items that are not related to the dollar spot at Target and then I also have a big Lobby small everything was pretty much a dollar under a dollar but there was also an item there that was like about five bucks so I'm going to talk about all of that and then I'm actually going to give you a look into what my next spread is going to look like in my happy planner so if you watch my videos I have just started using this I just did a spread for Thanksgiving let me flip to and I'll show you this is the spread that I just completed in my happy planner I absolutely love this this is this week right now my next week is actually not going to be Christmas related so that's why I wanted to kind of talk about it and go ahead and show you the items that I'm going to do ahead of time it is my daughter's birthday and at first I was just going to decorate the box or the day of her birthday and the happy planner but then I decided to make a whole week theme out of it and her favorite colors are black and mint and green so that is the theme I'm going to go with and I'm going to show you all those things that I pulled from my own craft stash and kind of go over all of that with you so without further ado let's go ahead and jump into target dollar spot stop reading that I'm going to be showing you today is going to be basically for about three purposes pocket letters my happy planner and some decorating stuff but really I think it's just like one item for decorating with that said all of this stuff has those things in mind so let's go ahead and take a look the first item out of the way is the decorating when I was talking about is this cute little pail that has like a Christmas sweater look to it and it was a dollar I honestly could not believe this this is so cute and what I loved most about this pail is that these are the exact colors I will be doing my daughter's bedroom in so she has a mint green and grey theme in her room black is too severe for me so we did gray and so for Christmas I was like well let's keep your gray comforter and then do like red and white for her peppermint candy or candy cane theme that I'm going with so I figured this pail would look incredibly cute in her room she could put lipsticks in here she could put her pencils or whatever in here she could put this next to her nightstand and put her cell phone in here or it can just sit in her room and be a decorative piece it doesn't matter I thought this was so perfect for her room let's get some of the two higher-priced items out of the way that were not in the target dollar spot and it was this washi tape by scotch expressions it was a little bit too expensive for me I'm not sure that I would do it again but I will tell you the reason why I got this is because there are strawberries in it and I absolutely love strawberries I love washi tape with fruit on it and I don't have anything like this and so I picked this up I think this was $2.99 so that's three dollars for a washing that's really expensive for me and you get ten point nine yards which is great I'm glad that I get a lot in here but I will be talking about other deals here in a second with washi tape the other item are these little tabs I have talked about Belinda saline on my channel when I was doing my happy planner she's my inspiration I absolutely love her and she uses these tabs to make little cards to insert into the happy planner these tabs were four dollars and 19 cents it was absolutely ridiculous by really I need to return this I probably will and I'll pick some up at Walmart because I was at Walmart the other day and I kind of looked at these and they were a lot cheaper there like in the $2 range so I will be returning these at Target but I do want some of these they are really cute and if you watch Melinda saline then you've seen her use these before so I did get this with my planner in mind now for all of the items from the dollar spot section is not just happiness in a sticker I don't know if you can tell but there are little confetti things inside of the sticker and I thought this was so perfect for a pocket letter I am going to be doing another Christmas themed pocket letter and I've already done one on my channel there I do get this question quite often so I'm going to go ahead and answer it but what is a pocket letter a pocket letter is where you use a baseball card holder and they have little pockets like three in a row three six nine so you have nine pockets and you basically decorate it and you send it to a pocket letter Pal and what you're really sending is it can be anything but it's basically like sending pieces of or samples of scrapbooking items you can send yarn you can send buttons you can send rhinestones I've had somebody send me a tea bag and some people make an entire theme out of it and some people just do whatever they want there's no rule to a pocket letter so I picked up these cute little penguin stickers for pocket letters it's really hard to convey on camera I don't want to spend two minutes talking about the sticker but let me tell you I absolutely adore this so if I go back to Target and I see more of these I will pick up every single one they have because I will keep these for future holidays so love this the next item is this notepad it was also a dollar there's a I meant on the back for you to stick to your fridge if you want to I don't think this is gonna go in my fridge this is probably going to go in my planner I've also had someone asked me what are you gonna do with the notepads in your planner and I will be showing that with you I don't not sure which video it's going to be but if you want to see an option go watch Belinda Selene again she is the one again that gives me all of my inspiration because she's like so talented with her planner here's a closer look so for my planner are these page flags and you get three in here I love the lines I love the graphic look to them again a dollar sorry for the glare but these look like so much fun they're already cut they already have little tails on them and I'm not sure if they're sticky or not yet but I'll find out also for pocket letters are these six adhesive bows I mean these are so cute you could you can get so much use out of these you could like just one as a decorative piece in your pocket letter and then you could do five other pocket letters or you could give all of these little bows inside a pocket letter page so I love these they're a dollar and I also love the little adhesive that you get with them as well so this is so perfect for a pocket letter in my opinion the next item are at these little mini clips I've hauled a couple of them from the target dollar spot it's the first time I've ever seen these there are many they're not like the other bigger ones that I have hauled that have like the reindeer on top and he's plaid these are green plaid Christmas trees and I thought where have these been all my life so love this this is also perfect with pocket letters it's also perfect for your planner this is also perfect for just decorating for Christmas and you can hang the Christmas cards that you get on these so multi-purpose with these and again a dollar this next item sadly I was up last night thinking about it I don't know why but this was in the dollar section and I just was trying to figure out how they can even make money off of something like this you can believe these gorgeous tags for $1 I mean the packaging itself has to be like what 10 cents I don't know I don't know why this was so important for me to figure out how much they made off of this but I just thought this was such a better deal for me than it must have been for them to make it so a dollar an you get three of these gorgeous tags again this is either gonna won't I'll probably split this up I'll probably put this on one of my daughter's Christmas present and then I'll include the other ones in a pocket letter so here's an up-close look I love this the next item are these chipboard alpha stickers and black they had other patterns in the dollar spot black was the one that appealed to me most I love black stickers they make my planner look so nice and black really does go with a lot of stuff so this was the one I wanted to get this would also look great in my smash book so multi-purpose here as well and a smash book if you don't know what it is it's basically a journal slash scrapbook that's basically what it is it's a lot less stressful as scrapbooking it just there's no rules you can do whatever you want so you can do the same thing with scrapbook but really scrapbook is about presenting the best page possible for your pictures whereas a smash book is just like a journal and you insert pictures and you write things here and there there's there's just no rules and I love it so I'm making one for my daughter so that when she graduates high school I'll have it completed and then she'll have like a book of memories to take with her to college I figured that it's probably good going to help her you know deal with not being at home and I mean literally there are no rules I like if I write a grocery list hand on like a piece of notepad I'll just take that grocery list and then start into my smash book it's little things like that you know maybe she wants to see my handwriting or maybe she wants to see what we used to go to the grocery store I mean there's literally no rule in my opinion moving on I got some more Christmas tags I did this in my pocket letter page I bought Christmas tags from Dollar Tree and I cut them up and gave a couple of them in my pocket letter to my pocket letter pal and I saw these at the dollar spot at Target and I just thought they were incredibly gorgeous let's look at this one this one has more of an adult sophisticated Christmas look just black and it looks like chalkboard and you also get another sheet and the same sheet and they in the back so you get 36 count love this and then this one was a little bit more whimsical a little bit more cartoon the penguin is just extra cute and the Fox and his little scarf and hat I mean I can't even get over that I absolutely love this little candy cane bow as well so this one is super cute if you have a target and you love this I truly hope that you find this because I mean the camera is not going to do it justice it is really cute the last two items from my target haul are these washi tapes they are onna clear:both polka dot they had like another color in blue and pink I think but these are the ones that I wanted for now I probably should have picked them up so this one right here is this regular sticker washi tape black polka dot and then this one is more of a fabric so the fabric ones you always get less yardage up okay so this fabric washi you get three yards of this and you pay two dollars now I get five yards of this and I paid a dollar so this is obviously a better deal than this but still this is fabric so it's nice it's not that big there's a subscribe in here this is the item that was not in the dollar area I want to go ahead and get this on the way and show you guys but it's crafters tape and you get four in here I've seen most of youtubers use this and it does seem really convenient versus a glue stick so I'm gonna go ahead and try this out and see if I like it if not I'll probably stick to a glue stick because the glue stick worked perfectly in my planner but it was $8.99 it was not on sale at Hobby Lobby but I did use a 40% off coupon which brought it to like it brought it to five dollars and thirty nine cents so if you break that up and divide five dollars and thirty nine cents by four that's not bad it's basically a little bit over a dollar for each little tape dispenser these items I did choose based on my upcoming theme for the week of December the first week of December for my planner because it is my daughter's birthday so I am doing black and mint colors and I saw this sticker I did want to invest in stickers that were more flat because I don't really want my happy planner to be bulky like my need was because I used a lot of like bubble stickers but these were gorgeous I loved the scrolls and I figured I could use love or dream on my planner for her birthday and it is a little bit long but I can cut these so I picked these they were $2.99 but it was 50% off so it was a dollar fifty the next items are basically pieces of scrapbook papers and we can go ahead and take a quick look this is again for my theme next week this is kind of like a translucent piece of scrapbook paper it's hard to really tell but it is see-through it was 89 cents but it was 50% off so it ended up being 44 cents this next one I thought was completely perfect for her black and mint green theme this was 44 cents so is basically 22 cents at 22 cents and I will be able to make so many boxes out of this I won't even use all of this so if I do another theme that looks like this in the future I'll more of this paper to use then these are just random pieces of paper that I wanted to go ahead and get now because I really liked it I love this floral print and what I also love about it is that it's also reversible so you get two different prints here with 79 cents at 50% off this one I thought was really interesting because it has this really cool pattern but I'm actually going to cut each individual pattern out and use them as page flags in my planner so I love that I was going to get a huge variety to choose from this one actually is also for my theme for next week it's just striped mint green I don't know if the camera is really picking up the true color but it was fifty nine cents at fifty percent off and then this one is black with little love scrolls so the last item are washi tapes and this is where I'm gonna be talking about the other washi tapes in the world tour the last items from Hobby Lobby Hall is my washi tape I'm super happy about this purchase and I'm gonna tell you why but let's go ahead and look at them first I did get these with my next week's spread and mind mint colors and gray and black so this one has polka dots and some weird pattern I know there's a name to this pattern I just don't know what it is so I've got those and then these were so cute I absolutely love the camera and then the arrows with the black embellishment I also loved the camera one because I can cut each little camera up and indicate when I'm going to film on my planner so what I loved about this and this is where we're going to talk about washi for a second okay so these were 399 so let's just round it up to four dollars for the sake of you know making it easy these were 50% off which made these two dollars apiece which also means that each washing was a dollar I paid a dollar for each washi and I got 10 yards in here 10 yards I paid $1 for this at Target and I only got 5 yards so this is obviously a much better deal now also compared to Dollar Tree I didn't save a box I went to look to see how many yards I got from Dollar Tree I'm not entirely sure it looks about the same you do get a lot from Dollar Tree it really does depend what kind of washi but you do get a lot so I'm gonna guess that you do get about 10 yards as well from the Dollar Tree but you would never get patterns like this not ever so if you have a Hobby Lobby near you you can get wash ease for a dollar you just have to wait for their stuff to go on sale if you sign up for their emails you can just sit there and watch whenever cuz they will tell you and the emails one is on sale they'll say like scrappin or scrapbooking items are on sale and I think this counts and also it also depends on the maker so right now the paper studio is 50% off anything paper studio related is 50% off so this is an amazing deal I should have bought more I'm probably gonna go back and get more because a dollar for each washi is exactly what you would spend at the Dollar Tree and what I love about this is again patterns you would never see the Dollar Tree and it is so hard for me to find washi at my Dollar Tree I've had a couple of subscribers say the same things like trying to find gold I hear yeah I'm with you I it's so hard to find washi at my Dollar Tree I see a lot of people haul patterns that I've never seen before so there's no it's not hard trying to find washi at Hobby Lobby so when this stuff is 50% off if it's like four dollars and you get two then you're getting them for a dollar each so I absolutely am in love with this deal so I'm going to go ahead and just kind of show you a couple of the items that I picked out from my crafting section that I already had for my next week's spread with my black and egg green theme and I have a smash book and when I originally purchased one like a year and a half ago I picked up a couple of these little items and I never knew I had it until I was actually cleaning out my desk drawer these were not in my craft section so I was surprised to find these there are some really cute cards in here to use so I just kind of pulled these out so you will see these in my spread I also pulled out like random pieces of scrapbook paper that I found I mean as you can see it's like cut up but I figured this will come in handy I found some of these really old birthday stickers I thought these were cute and then I pulled out this Dollar Tree notepad so if you've seen me talk about this this is I did a stationary haul and I showed you guys this I thought this would be perfect in the spread because it's black and white and then this is a sticker that I called from Dollar Tree a while back I'm not sure if this will end up in my spread but again I'm just pulling out things and I think I might use I thought this would be cute to indicate her birthday with they are a little bit thick so I'm not sure if these will make it in I also pulled out some sticker letters from my supplies these are all from Dollar Tree and I found this piece of scrapbook paper and once my stuff I thought they might end up in there it's black it's got this like it's more like a tail it's not really mint green but I thought this was cute and it may fit with my theme so let's see I mean that's pretty perfect so that's it I hope you guys enjoyed this video and I'm gonna see you soon for my next one byehey guys so today I want to share with you a very small haul that I figured you probably would want to see you will be seeing these items and so I really do like to show you the things that I buy because I end up using them for future videos so I figured you know this makes sense right I did another small little haul at the target dollar spot I realized target dollar spot probably functions a lot like my dollar trees where they keep bringing this is obviously a better deal than this but still this is fabric so it's nice it's not that big there's a subscribe in here this is the item that was not in the dollar area I want to go ahead and get this on the way and show you guys but it's crafters tape and you get four in here I've seen most of youtubers use this and it does seem really convenient versus a glue stick so I'm gonna go ahead and try this out and see if I like it if not I'll probably stick to a glue stick because the glue stick worked perfectly in my planner but it was $8.99 it was not on sale at Hobby Lobby but I did use again for my theme next week this is kind of like a translucent piece of scrapbook paper it's hard to really tell but it is see-through it was 89 cents but it was 50% off so it ended up being 44 cents this next one I thought was completely perfect for her black and mint green theme this was 44 cents so is basically 22 cents at 22 cents and I will be able to make so many boxes out of this I won't even use all of this so if I do another theme that looks like this in the future I'll more of this paper to use then these are just random pieces of paper that I wanted to go ahead and get now because I really liked it I love this floral print and what I also love about it is that it's also reversible so you get two different prints here with 79 cents at 50% off this one I thought was really interesting because it has this really cool pattern but I'm actually going to cut each individual pattern out and use them as page flags in my planner so I love that I was going to get a huge variety to choose from this one actually is also for my theme for next week it's just striped mint green I don't know if the camera is really picking up the true color but it was fifty nine cents at fifty percent off and then this one is black with little love scrolls so the last item are washi tapes and this is where I'm gonna be talking about the other washi tapes in the world tour the last items from Hobby Lobby Hall is my washi tape I'm super happy about this purchase and I'm gonna tell you why but let's go ahead and look at them first I did get these with my next week's spread and mind mint colors and gray and black so this one has polka dots and some weird pattern I know there's a name to this pattern I just don't know what it is so I've got those and then these were so cute I absolutely love the camera and then the arrows with the black embellishment I also loved the camera one because I can cut each little camera up and indicate when I'm going to film on my planner so what I loved about this and this is where we're going to talk about washi for a second okay so these were 399 so let's just round it up to four dollars for the sake of you know making it easy these were 50% off which made these two dollars apiece which also means that each washing was a dollar I paid a dollar for each washi and I got 10 yards in here 10 yards I paid $1 for this at Target and I only got 5 yards so this is obviously a much better deal now also compared to Dollar Tree I didn't save a box I went to look to see how many yards I got from Dollar Tree I'm not entirely sure it looks about the same you do get a lot from Dollar Tree it really does depend what kind of washi but you do get a lot so I'm gonna guess that you do get about 10 yards as well from the Dollar Tree but you would never get patterns like this not ever so if you have a Hobby Lobby near you you can get wash ease for a dollar you just have to wait for their stuff to go on sale if you sign up for their emails you can just sit there and watch whenever cuz they will tell you and the emails one is on sale they'll say like scrappin or scrapbooking items are on sale and I think this counts and also it also depends on the maker so right now the paper studio is 50% off anything paper studio related is 50% off so this is an amazing deal I should have bought more I'm probably gonna go back and get more because a dollar for each washi is exactly what you would spend at the Dollar Tree and what I love about this is again patterns you would never see the Dollar Tree and it is so hard for me to find washi at my Dollar Tree I've had a couple of subscribers say the same things like trying to find gold I hear yeah I'm with you I it's so hard to find washi at my Dollar Tree I see a lot of people haul patterns that I've never seen before so there's no it's not hard trying to find washi at Hobby Lobby so when this stuff is 50% off if it's like four dollars and you get two then you're getting them for a dollar each so I absolutely am in love with this deal so I'm going to go ahead and just kind of show you a couple of the items that I picked out from my crafting section that I already had for my next week's spread with my black and egg green theme and I have a smash book and when I originally purchased one like a year and a half ago I picked up a couple of these little items and I never knew I had it until I was actually cleaning out my desk drawer these were not in my craft section so I was surprised to find these there are some really cute cards in here to use so I just kind of pulled these out so you will see these in my spread I also pulled out like random pieces of scrapbook paper that I found I mean as you can see it's like cut up but I figured this will come in handy I found some of these really old birthday stickers I thought these were cute and then I pulled out this Dollar Tree notepad so if you've seen me talk about this this is I did a stationary haul and I showed you guys this I thought this would be perfect in the spread because it's black and white and then this is a sticker that I called from Dollar Tree a while back I'm not sure if this will end up in my spread but again I'm just pulling out things and I think I might use I thought this would be cute to indicate her birthday with they are a little bit thick so I'm not sure if these will make it in I also pulled out some sticker letters from my supplies these are all from Dollar Tree and I found this piece of scrapbook paper and once my stuff I thought they might end up in there it's black it's got this like it's more like a tail it's not really mint green but I thought this was cute and it may fit with my theme so let's see I mean that's pretty perfect so that's it I hope you guys enjoyed this video and I'm gonna see you soon for my next one bye\n"
