Hello and Welcome to Tech Deals: Will it Play Fortnite 1080p High Detail on the Ryzen 5 5600X?
I have also tested this game on the Ryzen 9 5900X at low, medium, and high settings. In this particular video, we're only going to be showing you high detail because at low and medium settings, it plays just fine on the Ryzen 9 5900X.
We'll take a look at whether or not 1080p high detail is better with the Ryzen 5 5600X. You can check out our playlist of all the games that I've tested in the "Will it Play?" video series and individual playlists on various APU's including the Ryzen 5 2400G. If you want to see different games, you can certainly check those out down there. They'll also have links to Amazon and Newegg for these APUs so please consider using those when shopping.
I did buy these APUs myself because AMD didn't send them to me but that's okay because they are an amazing value for the money. Now they're not perfect and you would get much better performance with a dedicated graphics card with an RX 570 or a 3 gig GTX 1060 this would be much faster at three times faster easily.
But this is an amazing deal for what you're paying if you're looking to put together a system because 8 gigs of RAM is all you need we're currently using 4.8 the two gigs of VRAM allocated and the BIOS is just fine and interestingly enough you can see we're getting 30 frames per second here but that's faster than the Ryzen 3 did not tremendously so but you shouldn't expect it to be because it's about 30 percent faster give or take depends upon the game and what you're doing but generally it's going to be a bit faster if you really want to play this game at 60 frames per second.
You either need to lower the resolution or lower the internal render resolution or lower the details to medium somewhere in there on the Ryzen 9 5900X for those of you maybe who didn't see it we did get close to 60 frames per second at medium detail but that has a 720p render resolution this could probably do like a 900 p render resolution set the details the medium or leave it at 1080p and lower some of the details to low if you want to get 60 frames per second.
Several people have commented why don't you show your gruesome terrible death when playing these games because you suck at them yes I do this is not my sort of thing I play this for benchmarking purposes only so I'm going to show you what happened here and this is sort of why I don't play it because you either play this all the time to become an expert or you're just wasting your time because there's absolutely no way to play this unless you just live breathe and sleep it.
Because I'm sitting here looking around I'm watching I'm being very careful like see Helix look through our scope I've got a very nice rifle it's a blue one which I think is good and I'm looking this way and nope nothing and let's look this way again well I think I'm alone there's nobody around I must be totally safe and we'll just zoom in one more time and I don't see anybody oh no what happened yeah we never saw that coming but I'll show it to you so there you have it Fortnite 1080p high detail on the Ryzen 5 5600X.
We had an average frame rate of 29 frames per second a 1% low of 24 and a 0.1% low of 17 take into account the footage that you actually saw what I was doing which was mostly standing around looking through our scope trying to find somebody to shoot at I ran up the hill down the hill I used the thing the ax to smash open stuff but that was pretty much it.
So performance might be lower if you actually know how to play but in any case it is what it is you can see the real-time performance and the real-time memory usage and you can come to your own conclusion like this video if you liked it share it with your friends if you love to remember to subscribe to my channel with that big huge red button directly below post your comments below the video and check the video description for links and details.
