Cowboy Baked Beans

**Cooking Cowboy Baked Beans over Coals**

Today, we're going to cook up some delicious cowboy baked beans over coals. I've got all the ingredients right here on my tall trivet, and we'll get started by building our coals. We've got a medium amount of coals on top and around the outside edge of the trivet. Now, let's rotate the lid to allow for even heat distribution.

As we wait for the beans to cook, we can take a closer look at what's going on inside the pot. I'm using some mosqu burning as fuel, and it's getting hot in here! We'll keep an eye on things and make sure they're cooking evenly. It's not uncommon for barbecue to cook faster over coals than it would in a conventional oven.

Now that we've got our coals going, let's take a look at the beans. I'm thinking we might need to add a little more heat to get them simmering. And... there they are! We've got a few bubbles starting to form, and things are looking good. Now, let's speed up the process by adding just a bit more heat on top and bottom.

As we wait for the beans to finish cooking, let's take a moment to appreciate the simplicity of this cooking method. No fancy ovens or complicated recipes needed here - just coals, beans, and some basic seasoning. And look! We're getting a nice, thick sauce starting to form. This is where the magic happens, folks.

Now that our beans are cooked, it's time to taste them. I'm using a combination of canned goods, including bacon and chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. The result is a rich, smoky flavor that's sure to please even the pickiest eaters. And let me tell you - these cowboy baked beans are a game-changer.

So, how do we achieve this delicious flavor? It all comes down to knowing when to add each ingredient and how long to cook them for. We've got to balance out the sweetness of the beans with the heat of the spices, and make sure everything is cooked to perfection. And that's what makes cowboy baked beans so special - they're a true labor of love.
