How I record my Ubuntu Tips Videos! _ Behind the Scenes

Behind-the-Scenes Look at My Content Creation Setup

I'm doing a lot of rough cut stuff today, so I do apologize if you're expecting some great content. It's actually going to be ubon weekend on the channel, apparently. I just realized that Ubuntu 16.04 LTS came out and I want to do some content on it and cover it. So, I'm actually triple wielding computers here - yes, you see three different setups.

My current setup is what I'll be sharing with you today. Say hello to Put You - he's my current furry friend who will be featured in the vlog channel YouTube.com/IRL, link in the description. But this is my current setup: a laptop that will serve as the main desktop for content creation; another one for video review purposes; and three more laptops or machines running different software to get everything done.

My actual "buncha machine" for doing all the content on is this laptop here - with the screen off because it's actually connected to the monitor via my capture card, the Elgato HD 60 Pro for capturing the video. My camcorder is up there with a terrible light panel that doesn't even like my face at all; but when its batteries are charged, it does. Lasting only for about five minutes and then running out of power and not being able to use it anymore.

The Elgato HD 60 Pro is used to capture the video from this camcorder, while my laptop is running a USB connection via the Mage Well X I 100d, which is acting as my webcam. The new Butter is hooked up here with OBS - Teen (which was supposed to be the setup), but it kept messing up videos so I had to switch back to OBS Teen and OBS layout - with my camera quartered off and capture card DOH God.

I'm using three different computers to get all this done: two laptops for video editing and uploading, another one running through here as well. But before that, the only computer I was using is running Ubuntu. The laptop running Ubuntu is connected to the monitor via the Elgato HD 60 Pro camcorder, which runs OBS Teen hooked up with my camera quartered off and capture card DOH God. This setup results in high quality videos - 1080p at 60 frames per second.

But before that, I used the Elgato Game Capture software to record some content, not the OBS setup. It was supposed to be better, but it ruined two very long videos that were split up into eight minutes each. This is why I had to edit them; there's still one left to fix - and fixing it will take a couple of hours.

The laptop sounds like it's about to run through here as well because I'm making this change now while taking a break. It's pretty cool, so thanks for watching goodbye

apparently i just decided today once i realized that who bunt to sixteen point oh four LTS came out and I want to do some content on it and cover it so I'm actually triple wielding computers here so this is my current setup catch included say hello to put you'll see him in the vlog channel youtube.com slash equals IRL link in the description but this is my current setup so I'm running my audio mixer video on this coming very very soon I've I'm late putting it up but I've already uploaded or I've already filmed it but i haven't uploaded it yet but all my audio is running through here and then i'm actually using three different computers to get all this done so my actual buncha machine that i'm doing all the content on is my laptop here the screens off because it's running to the monitor than my capture card the elgato HD 60 pro for capturing the video i have my camcorder up here with a the worst light panel in the world it doesn't even like my face at all it does when the batteries are charged but last that lasts a whole five minutes and then my camcorder is actually running here to the mage well X I 100d USB and that's acting as my webcam since then say full 60 frames per second and then I just have a new butter and OBS teen hooked up here with my with the layout my camera quarter and the capture card d oh god oh and I just record it drag it over upload it and then it's how i'm getting these done so fast with of course my are you 20 so that's my main desktop the laptop and then i have this keyboard and mouse over here so two mice and then i have this wireless one hooked up to my transcoding server for any videos that i have to edit which has been a few it's rendering them and uploading them up there as well and then he's just kind of distracting me and keeping me from getting stuff done but that is okay because he's cute and I love him look at that think they can so just wanted to share my overly complicated setup here just in case anyone was wondering how I get this done I was using the elgato game capture software with my webcam actually instead of the OBS setup but it kept watching up my videos like they were like oh we upgraded the software to the new version and it's doing better but it's really ruined two very long videos and I say very long but they were split up into like eight minutes and it's totally screwed them up so that's why I had to edit some and there's still one I have to go through and try to fix and I'm not going to do that to him done with all this because it's going to take a good couple hours to try to figure out how to fix it but laptop running ubuntu running through the HD 60 pro camcorder running through the mage well I'll into OBS record 1080p 60 frames per second very high quality straight to YouTube monitor for the laptop review because that's not actually a 1080p screen and microphone and since microphones running through all my audio processing gear I don't need to do any editing or anything like that and the laptop sounds about to be running through here as well I'm making that change now as I'm taking a break so pretty cool setup thanks for watching goodbyealright a quick
