while now and I choose them because they make cases for many different phone manufacturers not just iPhones and Samsung galaxys now before we dive in it's tech trivia time clear cases are usually made from two different types of materials TPU which stands for thermo polyurethane soft and elastic this material is used in your typical clear jelly case the other is polycarbonate a stiffer plastic that is more impact and scratch resistant which is why it is also used as a shell for many Nokia phones since 2011 as well as the iPhone 5c TPU cases will get yellow over time as a result of exposure to sunlight and/or heat clear polycarbonate is more resistant to yellowing but will get there eventually with enough exposure to UV now keep all of this in mind as we go over spigen and case ologies offerings let's start with the basic there really isn't a lot of design here and that's the point case ology solid flex crystal is your standard TPU case with air cushion bumpers built in it's the one I recommend because of its affordable price tag 1499 at $14.99 that's half of Apple's own TPU clear case and on case ology comm it's currently 60% off so you can get them with free shipping spigen also makes a similar liquid crystal case that starts at 1499 but goes up depending on your iPhone's size you can also pay a bit more to get the glitter version for some added bling now before you come running to me with angry comments in a few months time I must emphasize because these are TPU cases they will eventually get yellow another option is to get spigen ultra hybrid or case ology Skyfall collection which are both made of TPU and polycarbonate this polycarbonate back has been infused with a UV protection preventing it from turning yellow and they come with bumpers that match the color of your iPhone I have a black one for my space grey iPhone 11 Pro and a midnight green case for my iPhone 11 Pro max but there are rose and silver options available also if you like this case but want even more protection spigen is gauntlet case takes this idea to the extreme with a foam padded interior and bumpers that protrude even further military-grade cases don't necessarily have to be clunky to protect your phone from shattering when dropped sigh rolls color brick cases offer pocket-friendly protection its ergonomic design have a smooth matte finish semi-transparent hard polycarbonate back and a TPU bumper each case comes with a pack of gray interchangeable buttons in case you want to swap these colorful one but why would you if you're looking for something more stylish there's the leather brick case made with a synthetic leather exterior and a soft microfiber lining I like how the bumper lifts the screen and camera off flat surfaces to keep them scratch free oh and I don't know this was really intended but we found that if you own any of these cases you can pop out the buttons and swap them around so we took the red buttons off the leather brick case and added it to the navy color brick case for our own FC Barcelona themed case the leather brick case is only available for the iPhone se the color brick case is available for the SE iPhone 1111 pro and pro Macs Cyril doesn't make them anymore but we really do love these cases with embroidery on them this one takes inspiration from the city of lights Paris this case says miss C Nessie Nessie against a taupe pinstripe fabric well this one is inspired by Downtown LA's blue skies may have baby blue synthetic leather and a simple hello the case is lined with a soft microfiber and is engraved with LA's GPS coordinate a nice touch speaking of interchangeable cases we're not sure if it's intentional either but while playing around with case ologies wavelength and parallax cases we found like you could also interchange it's rubbery interior and outer shell just like mixing and matching when it comes to outfits you can buy in multiple cases to create new outfits for your iPhone the paralax case is available for the
