The Roswell RK9200 Helios mechanical gaming keyboard is a cutting-edge device that has garnered attention for its unique features and functionality. One of the standout aspects of this keyboard is its innovative approach to key backlighting. Instead of relying on a single color scheme, the Roswell RK9200 allows users to choose from multiple colors, including red and green. This feature is particularly noteworthy because it enables users to customize their keyboard's appearance to suit their preferences.
The keyboard also features individually backlit keys, each with two LEDs that can be set to either red or green. This means that users can create a unique color scheme for their entire keyboard, or opt for separate colors for different sections. Furthermore, the keyboard includes isolated keys for the WASD and arrow keys, allowing users to toggle these keys on and off independently of the rest of the keyboard. This feature is particularly useful for gamers who need quick access to common shortcuts.
However, the most impressive feature of the Roswell RK9200 is its dual LED configuration. This allows users to light up only the WASD and arrow keys in one color, while changing all other keys to a separate color. This setup eliminates the issue of struggling to see certain keys in low-light environments, which can lead to typos and mistakes. The keyboard's designers have clearly thought about the needs of gamers who spend long hours playing games in dark or dimly lit spaces.
In addition to its unique lighting features, the Roswell RK9200 also boasts a range of other amenities that make it an attractive option for gamers. Three levels of LED brightness are available, allowing users to adjust the level of illumination to suit their preferences. The keyboard also includes a breathing mode, which creates a slow pulsating effect between the brightness levels of the keys.
One potential criticism of the Roswell RK9200 is its use of blue LED indicator lights for the numb lock, caps lock, and scroll lock keys. While these colors may not be the most visually appealing option, it's worth noting that users can switch to alternative colors if they prefer. This flexibility is a testament to the keyboard's customizability and flexibility.
For those considering purchasing the Roswell RK9200, it's clear that this keyboard offers many benefits. The slim profile and durable construction make it an attractive option for gamers who value portability and reliability. The removable USB cable from the back is also a welcome feature, allowing users to easily transfer data between their computer and the keyboard.
In conclusion, the Roswell RK9200 Helios mechanical gaming keyboard is an innovative device that has set a new standard for gaming keyboards. Its unique dual LED configuration, customizability options, and range of features make it an attractive option for gamers who value functionality and style. While there may be some minor criticisms to consider, these do not detract from the keyboard's overall appeal.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Roswell RK9200 to anyone in the market for a new gaming keyboard. Its innovative design, durability, and range of features make it an excellent choice for gamers who value performance and customization. With its unique dual LED configuration, the keyboard offers a level of functionality that is unmatched by many other gaming keyboards on the market.
As I continued to explore the Roswell RK9200, I couldn't help but think about the potential for future improvements. The addition of more color combinations would be a welcome feature, allowing users to further customize their keyboard's appearance. Perhaps an option to switch between red and blue LEDs or green and white LEDs would be appreciated by some users.
In general, I believe that the Roswell RK9200 is a solid choice for gamers who value innovation and customization. Its unique features, durability, and range of amenities make it an excellent option for anyone looking to upgrade their gaming experience.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhow's it going guys Kyle here with awesome sauce news today I'll be doing a review on Rose Will's RK 9200 series Helios mechanical gaming keyboard and this keyboard is actually very interesting because it is the world's first dual LED keyboard so there are a lot of LED modes and different combinations that you can do uh which are really cool I'm going to give you guys a demo in just a bit uh but first off uh this keyboard does feature cherion x black switches that's the model I have with me today but you can also get it in blue brown or red switches as well so first off I'm just going to to go over some of the basic details uh I am going to be comparing a little bit uh of this keyboard to roswell's RK 9100 which I also did a video on you can check that out later so first off I want to point out that uh the 9200 has a very uh similar profile and construction as the 9100 did and uh that's a good thing because the profile is very SL uh slim the bezel is very thin it kind of doesn't take up too much room it's not too obtrusive uh and the construction is just solid plastic you can press down on any of the keys as hard as you want and you won't see any flexing or any Bo in the body itself you also get the rubberized pads on the bottom as well you've got uh two pop-up feet also that uh just kind of elevate the keyboard a little bit a lot of people say that it kind of helps some typing it's more ergonomic and uh they they notice less strain on their wrists uh when they're when they've been typing for long hours at a time one huge Improvement of this keyboard over the 9100 is a removable mini USB cable so uh they've included roswell's included a 6ot braided cable it's very nice it's got a velcro strap uh if you want to tie out tie up any excess cable length that is unneeded you also get a 10 key number pad so for all of your accounting needs you got some web and multimedia shortcuts as well and uh this keyboard does feature 12 key rollover it's kind of scratching my head at first cuz you would think maybe you would only need 10 key roll over at the most because you only have 10 fingers but I think Roswell has just done it just to say hey look we've got we've gone above and beyond because we can and uh there's nothing wrong with that also a really cool feature uh at first I was looking at the keyboard and I was like where the the heck is the windows lock key uh but the way you do it on the ny2000 is you hold down the function key and then press the Windows key I I actually really like that idea because you're not taking up space on your keyboard for a new dedicated button rosell's kind of just working with what they have and they've found a clever way to quickly uh enable and disable that Windows key well that said why don't we get into some of the finer details of the LED functionality of this keyboard since that seems to be one of the biggest features of this product uh so first off all of the keys are individually back lit they each have two LEDs behind them and they can turn either red or green so you can actually have your entire keyboard either red keys or green Keys depending on your preference but uh extending even far beyond that roswell's also implemented isolated keys for your WD and your arrow keys so you can actually turn those on and off independently uh of the rest of your keyboard but this is what sets this keyboard apart from many of the other gaming keyboards I've seen is that you can actually light up the WD and arrow keys one color and and then change all the other keys to a separate color so you can see here we've got kind of a dual LED configuration and this is really great because other G gaming keyboards I've seen the WD keys will light up and that's great but then the rest of them are black so when you're gaming in the dark which a lot of people like to do you might be gaming WD playing your firstperson shooter and then all of a sudden you got to type in a message you know in group chat to one of your buddies or one of your teammates and all of a sudden you look down at your keyboard and you can't see anything you kind of have to calibrate in the dark with your finger all right all right I'm on ASD where where's my other hand going and sometimes you know typos occur uh so rosell's really made the moves to kind of finding a solution for this problem and it just seems like such a simple solution but no one's been doing it uh until now right so it's really cool functionality I'd say this is probably the Paramount Feature of this keyboard and it's going to save a lot of headache uh in the long run with uh with the users that decide to get one aside from that you've also got three levels of LED brightness that you can choose from from dim brighter and and brightest you've also got a breathing mode which kind of induces a slow pulsating effect between the brightness levels of your keys looks pretty cool now with all that said this keyboard has really impressed me up to this point uh but one critique I will say is that the numb lock caps lock and scroll lock LED indicator lights for this uh keyboard are in blue and I just kind of wish that Rosewell would have practiced a little bit more continuity with the aesthetic of the keyboard by either making the LEDs red or green or even better allow you to switch between different colors that would more appropriately match the current ones on the rest of the keyboard all right so let's just quickly recap some of the pros and cons of the keyboard I really like the slim profile and the durable construction uh the removable USB cable from the back is a great addition to the RK series uh but let's face it guys the number one feature here is definitely the Dual LEDs not only does it allow for more customizability and killer Aesthetics but just offers such a high a much higher level of functionality than you would get from most gaming keyboards on the market currently I really hope to see more keyboards like this from real R in the future as far as the cons go there's really not too much to say here like I said earlier uh the lock LED indicator lights were in blue I kind of would have liked to see them in either in green or red but like I said it's just an aesthetic thing not everyone's going to mind it aside from that uh other thoughts this isn't necessarily a con this is just a me talking now words um I would like to see more color combinations in future models of this keyboard from Rose will I want to see red and blue LEDs on one board or I want to see green and white LEDs you know or maybe all of those in one that you can just toggle between 30 different colors uh would be awesome so all in all a very solid keyboard I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new one and um yeah I think that's pretty much it so thank you guys for watching this review once again this has been Rose Wills RK 9200 Helios mechanical gaming keyboard with
