One thing that's been on my mind is sneaker season. Specifically, wintertime pickups. As many of you have been asking, I've decided to do a top 10 list for the upcoming winter season. It's going to be released next week and I'll be sharing it with all of you. So, keep an eye out for that.

this this phone is a major win and it's also a certified go now if you're new to my channel and you don't know about my rating scale let me break it down for you real quick when I say something is a win that has to do with the price that means that the price is right when I say something is a go that means that I'm feeling it and I'm highly recommending it for you and I'll give you a little example if I'm at work and I go to lunch let's say I go to McDonald's and I order a burger off the dollar menu when I get back to work if you ask me how was lunch I'm gonna tell you it was a win I was hungry I only spent a dollar and I got lunch that's a win the price is right now if I'm at work and I go to lunch let's say I go to Sammy's and I order fifty dollar lobster tail when I get back to work if you ask me how was lunch I'm gonna tell you it was a go it was a delicious meal and I'm recommending you go ahead and try that lobster tail alright so that's how my rating scale goes so with this phone you're getting a win and you're getting to go now just like anything else that I review there's always going to be some things that I don't like so we'll start with that first and then we'll get into everything that I do like now we got the usual suspects in now real quick also if y'all fellas at home y'all want to play a drinking game every time you hear me say 350 bucks have a drink and I guarantee you you're going to be drunk by the end of this video first thing about this phone that I don't like that even though it's only 350 bucks no wireless charging okay so now for that price I'm not gonna hold that against them you know this is not the top dog top of the line top of the food chain phone for 350 bucks you know you're still getting a quality phone but there's some stuff missing now if you got used to having a wireless charge on your phones and you got a whole bunch of wireless charges laying around everywhere that's something that you know you're gonna miss is it a deal breaker not even close but this is the stuff that I got to mention - yup no wireless charging next no fast charge now that's kind of important yeah we talked about this yesterday with the Nexus 6 real review you know you got the shower and shave phone this ain't it I descend this is not the phone that you're gonna come home and put on the charger for 10 minutes and then you know go rock out for another 7 hours you're not going to do that I'm gonna have to have a couple of hours dedicated for charging your phone with this one all right so no fast charge next no removable battery now this is um this is kind of weird because the back panel does come off of this so now you're able to take the back cover off let me take it off like to show y'all front you can take the back cover off but you can't take the battery off so that's kind of weird if you know if you got a phone that they allow you to take the back cover off you should have you should be able to remove the battery now understand when you got the unibody phones you can't take the battery out but this phone the battery is right there you could physically see it but um you can't you can't change it so no removable battery we'll talk more about battery but that's something that don't like next now this has to do with the build quality double-edged sword right here I like to build but the sides of this phone are super sharp all right this is not the most comfortable phone to hold in your hand now you could easily fix that and just drop a case on this but if you don't buy this as a trap phone or a backup phone or work phone you're probably not going to want to invest too much money with accessories and all that stuff you're probably just going to want to use it as is not the most comfortable phone to hold in your hand now if you happen to be making a phone call while you're peeling some potatoes get any sharp edges you know you probably like that but for day-to-day use I'm not really feeling these sharp super sharp edges right not the most comfortable phone to hold this isn't a deal breaker not at all next the touch capacitive buttons don't light up on the bottom alright so let me let's open the phone up real quick you see you got your recently used apps your home button and you got your back button look closely you see them but they don't light up now that's really not that big of a deal because after using the phone for a couple of days you you'll have the buttons memorized but why not let them light up you know that's just you know companies scrimping and saving a dollar they could have left the buttons light up all right so I'm that's just something I don't like now I know a lot of you are gonna say I'm being picky and I'm being petty the phones only $350 but money is money by when I spend $350 I'm expecting light-up buttons okay so no light-up buttons not a deal-breaker but blue come on hi come on next speaker placement now to speak on this is good we'll talk about that later but the speakers on the back of the phone and if y'all watch any of my videos you know I say this every time that's the worst possible place to put a speaker all right that's the worst place to put the speaker I'd rather have the speaker on the bottom on the top of the phone even on the side of the phone anywhere but the back and why because when you're listening to music or you know you're watching a video or something yeah you might have your phone understand but a lot of times you'll have your phone flat on the table and once you have your phone in the table like that now you muffle it out the music and if you holding the phone in your hand look where the speakers at right on the bottom if I'm holding the phone in my hand I'm basically muffling out the speaker and that happens all the time with this phone I find myself having to use it in our landscape mode and hold it by the corners like this so that's where I could get the full the full effect from the speakers so speaker placement on the back that's the worst possible place to put any speak on any phone including this bloom pure XL not feeling it mix the battery now with this did we'll talk more about this later - this is something I do like but I don't like at the same time you got a big giant three thousand five hundred million battery in this phone so when you hear those numbers you're going to think that okay this is a beast this phone is going to last all day and that's why I always tell you don't don't buy stuff based on specs and based on how it looks on paper because in real life you know things change and that's a perfect example right here with this blue pure XL three thousand five hundred million battery but with heavy use now been using this as my social media phone with heavy use I haven't I haven't got a full four hours yet before I could take it back to the charger so you got a big giant thirty five hundred million battery that you can't even get a full savage mode four hours of heavy use that's a no-go all right so I'm not really feeling that and this was and this brings you back to no removable battery so if you're outside you know you're getting crazy going on full savage mode on Instagram and Twitter and Facebook and all of that you can't even just swap out a new battery there's no fast charge so you can't even just plug it in real quick and let the charge and get back into the action you know no fast charge no wireless charge and no removable battery so with those three negatives having a phone that doesn't do great with the battery that's just all-around that's all around L right there all right when I say L that stands for loss all right so you taking the L with that is that a deal-breaker for me no 350 bucks for this you know we'll be going we're going to we're going to cut them some slack because of the price now this phone was $800 then I will be ripping them up but for 350 bucks we're going to let them drive with that it's just something I don't like though next now this is something I talked about yesterday too with the Nexus 6 real review you can't close out all your apps at one time now a lot of people say I'm being picky with that you know that's just you know meet me own nitpicking with stuff but you got to remember if you're used to using Samsung phones and HTC phones and LG phones you're used to just closing out all your apps at once just like this you say I got all of these apps open when I'm ready to close them I just press one button and they go on now let me address something really quick yesterday I gave you an example I said look a lot of times when I'm hanging out with my daughter she loves to take my phone and take selfies for me to have in my phone and she just won't always want to play with some of my new phones she go she always want to hold my phone so I told y'all before I give her the phone I like to close out all of my apps because a lot of times I'll be doing adult stuff on my phone that I like I know that's not suitable for little kids and not to mention I just own with nobody in my business not only my daughter this I don't want nobody my business so when I did the review yesterday for the Nexus a lot of people were saying oh you know just take the phone and put it in guest mode and look let me answer that missing the point I put in the phone and guest mode is not solving the problem of something that I don't like that's just you know working around the problem because it's not only for handing the phone to my daughter or somebody else it's about what happens when your phone starts to slow down or lag or you're just at that moment of the day when you realize you've got 70 apps open at once and you're ready to close them all out you want to just press that one button how hard is it for these companies to just drop that into the user interface HTC got it LG got it Samsung got it how hard is it to just add that one little button you can't do it on your iPhone you can't do on your Nexus 6 it's pretty annoying all right now the same thing with that go go to guest mode when you're giving somebody the phone the same amount of trouble that will take you to swipe down and go to guest mode and activate guest mode how easy would it be to just press this button and press one button to close it it would be easier to do that then go to guest mode and it's even easier because after you get the phone back from that person now you got to go deactivate guest mode so you know fixing issues doesn't solve the fact that I don't like it there's always going to be a fix to something I don't like whether it is buying a third party app or downloading the third party app or it's going to be buying an accessory there's always going to be an extra fix to that but that doesn't change the fact that I don't like it all right so I don't like the fact that you can't close all the apps like I said I'm just spoiled from Samsung and HTC and LG I don't see why these companies just don't incorporate that it's so simple next fingerprint scan on the back now we talked about this yesterday - I hate the fingerprint scanner on the back right now this is now before we even talk about the placement of the fingerprint scanner this is one thing this is probably the thing that really kills me the most about this phone the fingerprint scanner doesn't work now when I did the unboxing video I told y'all I hit the forums up and a lot of people were saying that you're not gonna fix it with the update right now I was two weeks ago that a lot of people been asking me was taking me so long to do this video I wanted to give blue a fair chance so I was going to wait and see if they push out an update because the phone is on sale right now so I wanted to give them a chance to push out the update before I come online and start bashing and still to this day no update the fingerprint scanner just doesn't work now it works you could set up your fingerprint it'll read your thing and all of that when you lock the device and you try to use your fingerprint it won't work boy I'll work it you know it's a real bug with this phone that's why everybody thinks everybody not in depth just you know including me everybody in the forums think that it's a software issue because sometimes you lock the phone with the fingerprint scanner the phone will be locked and you can just open it without using a fingerprint scanner all right so the fingerprint scanner on this just doesn't work it's very buggy I would say it's trash I had the fingerprint scanner on this is trash but the phone is 350 bucks so we're gonna have to let them ride with that but don't buy this phone if you specifically bind it to have that fingerprint scanner access I don't buy it for that reason alone because the fingerprint scanner to this day as of November 7th it's not working now let me just address something else real quick now in the nexus 6 video shout out to the slam boys I in the Nexus 6 video I said one of the things I don't like about fingerprint scanners on the back is because when you're using the phone on the table you have to keep turning the phone over or lifting it up to open up the screen and a lot of people left me comments saying that well you know you don't have to turn the phone over and put them you know use the fingerprint scanner you could just use the pattern or the swipe unlock and let me just address that real quick of course I know you could do that of course when you set up a fingerprint scanner you have to set up a pattern or pin lock as a backup everybody knows that like a lot of people were saying it to me like if I didn't know that of course you can do that but that's not the point again a lot of people missing the point the point is out of you know you just spent all this money and you want the latest technology which is a fingerprint scanner you want to use it I tell me using the pattern lock or the pin lock that's not solving the problem of me not liking the placement that's just working around it if I wanted to use the pattern of the pin lock every day why would I buy a phone with a fingerprint scanner why would I even care about that why would I even mention fingerprint scanners if I'm never going to use it I'm just going to be worried about patterns or pins you know it's just like if you go out and buy a new car that has comfort access that means that you could leave your car keys in your pocket you walk up to your car you put your thumb on the door and then the door opens if I buy a new car that has that feature I'm going to tell you how I like it now say for instance when it's winter time and it's cold outside and you know it's freezing cold when you put your finger on it it doesn't work I'm gonna tell you how that's that's something about the car I don't like every time it's cold outside or whenever it's snowing I can't put my thumb on the door to open the door you're always gonna have those people that say well look is that's not a big deal all you have to do is take your keys out of your pocket and you know open the car door manually of course you could do that that doesn't change the fact that you don't like the fact that you can't use your comfort axis that's not going to change the fact that you don't like it that's just you know helping you get around that problem that's not a fix for the problem that's a workaround so when I make these videos please when you're in the comment section we're not talking this this is not a we don't need all the workarounds this is just my personal opinion of stuff I don't like now everything that I don't like I already told y'all if it's a deal-breaker I'm going to tell you it's a deal-breaker and I'm not buying this phone or I'm not using it if you don't hear me say it's a deal-breaker that means that I already know a workaround or I already already know a way to fix that issue or to make it better but it doesn't change the fact that I don't like it alright next let's keep it moving I know I'm taking a long time with this but um here we haven't fun we talking let's keep it moving especially for $350 now that's not peanuts that's still money it's less money than $1,000 or $800 but it's still money so I'm still going to give y'all the same quality review that I give you know one of these top dog phones bugs yeah this phone has a few bugs to it one of the bugs is with the notification bar now if you like me you know and you a social media beast and you're getting a thousand one notifications every day sometimes when you scroll down on your notification bar you get a little a little lag a little lag a little screen hiccup not not much I would say I would say not even once a day not even once a day but it's just something I gotta mention this way when you get yours if it happens to you don't say I didn't mention it doesn't happen a lot though doesn't happen a lot it happens way less than it does on your Galaxy Note 4 your note 4 edge you remember that notification lag is serious on that this one you get a little bit of bugs with that and another bug that I don't like about this is certain apps the notification sounds don't work now I give you a perfect example couple couple is one of my favorite apps that I use UC couple that's the app I use to talk to my girl that app you can go inside of that app and you could change notification sounds and I always put a specific sound so this way when I get that alert I already know who it is I already know a lot of times I don't feel like playing with the phone but when I hear something for my girl and I say okay let me answer it a lot of times with this phone when you get notifications you don't you don't the phone doesn't ring it doesn't make a sound and it's random because sometimes you'll get the notification alert and sometimes you won't now this is not my main phone so I'm always going to have other phones on at the same time so I and all of my phones I basically got the same couple of look so I'll hit alerts going on for my other phones and a lot of times you know this is my in the bed phone right now we'll talk about that later I have this phone right next to me in the bed and I didn't hear a sound so now pick up I sent some back and I have the phone in my hand I just want to make sure I'm not going crazy and I get another alert it'll pop up on the notification bar but no sound and then right after that I get an email and the sound will play so I go to a couple I check check make sure everything's right everything's right so that's a little bug right there it happens with couple happens with what's that that's the two apps that I've seen it happen with right now most and I haven't seen anything with the emails and the phone calls no problems with that but just certain third-party apps you're not going to get a notification sound 100% of the time I don't like that and last but not least no split-screen multitasking now that's a big deal for me especially with a big giant phone this big now you got a six inch display why waste it on one app at a time you know if I go on Instagram now I'm just on Instagram I just let's go to Instagram let's let's see what we got on deck I'll be on Instagram now I got this big giant screen I can only use Instagram now of course I could be spoiled from using HTML using Samsung and LG phones that do have split screen multitasking but no split screen multitasking on this I think for a phone this big that should be mandatory this is almost like you know if you put it next to a nexus the the Nexus 7 tablet it's almost the same size as a tablet so you should have a split screen multitasking and that's another thing too let me just talk about that real quick yesterday when I did that video for the Nexus 6p real review I said the same thing I don't like it I don't like the fact that you can't do split-screen multitasking and a lot of people started hitting me up right after that saying no just go to developer options it's in there and let me address that real quick it's not in there it's not in developer options you can go to developer options and you can install the file to make it work which I've done now a lot of people I don't know if y'all think that I'm just some random guy playing with phones but I'm down with xda-developers I've been down with them since day one so anything that's going on in the world of Android and all that I read the same articles as y'all I'm getting all the same alerts every time they figure out a new a new workaround or new route or a new ROM that comes out I'm hip to all of this stuff too I just don't like talking about it too much because I like to make my reviews basically for everybody not just for you know tech heads and geeks that you know really do that kind of stuff I like to make my reviews for everybody the average person and for the hardcore you know heavy hitter tech guy now before I do a real review of course I'm going to try all that stuff out so what I did was I was on XDA right before I did the real review and open two days before that and I downloaded that I installed that little file that you got to do to make the split-screen work and it does work but the problem with it is it doesn't work good so therefore I'm not going to mention that in the video because to be honest with John it kind of works like if you buy a Nexus 6 you the part of the reason of buying that foam is because you want to smooth stock Android experience you don't want no lag you don't want no force closes you don't want apps crashing on you you want to stock Nexus that's going to give you that that solid smooth no experience once you add that split screen feature it doesn't work that good your phone is going to crash certain apps are going to crash the phone the phone is going to start freezing a lot I had to delete that immediately because it started making my Nexus run like trash so the Nexus just none this is off the topic you can do split screen multitasking on the Nexus but right now while it's in the experimental stages I would highly recommend against it unless you just you know want to want to play with it for yourself but it's going to freeze it's going to crash you're not going to like it like then go check on the forums for yourself if you don't believe now what that being said I know I wasted a lot of time with that with that being said that's everything that I don't like phone this big should have split screen multitasking blue if you watch this video for your next 6-inch phone put that in there alright now let's get into everything that I do like and it's a bunch of stuff first up the price right now that's probably the thing about this phone I like the most the price this is 350 bucks I drink up 350 bucks for this phone you cannot complain about the price for what you get for the complete package you cannot complain about this price now if this phone was eight hundred dollars yeah all those things I mentioned that didn't like it would hurt a little bit more for 350 bucks I could easily overlook everything that I just mentioned that didn't like I the price on this it's a hundred percent win it's a certified it's a certified steal right here for 350 bucks next let's talk about the build on this now I love the build I love the build on this a plastic back at least has a matte finish to it so if it was a glossy back matte of matte if it was a glossy back plastic finish it would feel a little bit more cheap but they went with the matte look which kind of looks nice with this gold color let me just close this hole with kind of looks nice you don't get too many fingerprints with the gold one you get the metal around the edges you got gorilla glass on the front the build quality on this is great it's a nice heavy foam nice nice dedicated buttons that have nice clicks to it nothing cheap about this build now if you peel the back of off and hold in your hand you get a back cover might feel a little bit flimsy but while it's on the phone it feels great alright it feels great just make sure when you take the back of off now I'm like I'm in really focus on this right now make sure you snap it all the way back into place though but it does look great so you have a good build feels great in the hand I know feels great in the hand fellas that's what she said build quality nothing to complain about next now let's talk about the display real quick you got a 6 inch quad-hd display right that's 2560 by 1440 494 the PPI patrol the display now keep in mind this display panel is made by Samsung it looks beautiful only issue with it is the viewing angles now if you out in direct sunlight you will have to go down and you will have to adjust the brightness right but for 350 bucks not the biggest deal in the world but look how this display looks beautiful 6 inch quad HD display I'm loving it I saw nothing to complain there with the bill if you ain't all that resolution and PPI you're going to like this you're going to like this especially for $350 now I'll tell you something real quick if somebody just gave you this phone if you didn't know nothing about blue pur XL you never heard of blue before which a lot of people didn't because you know they they use they they usually only make trap phones and when I say a trap phone that means a backup phone or work phone or you know your your phone that you don't really care about maybe your gym phone or your travel phone your spare phone that's what trap phone means all right so blue usually makes good track phones they usually cost one hundred two hundred dollars so a lot of people never really even gave him a good look if you never heard nothing about blue and somebody put this phone in your hand and told you that you know this is the new dog I got right here you and you wouldn't think this phone was three hundred fifty bucks trust me you would not think that so that goes that goes back to what I'm saying about the build quality on this it feels super premium and just looking at it if you didn't see the blue on the back you would think this is something by Sony this kind of gives you that Sony Xperia look to it you know they order up on look they always have those square kind of phones this looks just like that but build quality on this certified certified go next build quality is a go the display is a go let's talk about the camera let's go buy the camera real quick now you got an 8 megapixel camera on the front and it works good I'm not the best camera in the world but it works good let's talk about the camera on the back now 24 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization for 350 bucks that's a win now I know megapixels don't really mean anything in real life it's all depends on on the sensor and all that's you know the megapixels by itself don't really mean anything but with this camera it takes great pictures now let me pull up the camera real quick I'll show you a picture that I took let's see what we got here alright now this is a picture I took of some sneakers I bought for my daughter look at the detail now let me zoom in real quick look at the carbon-fiber detail now this is a picture this is one this is let's see all right so this is one with the flat this is with the flash you see it got a little bit brighter you can twist it like that that's with the flash and that's without the flash 24 megapixel camera but it takes some beautiful pitches you could even see a little bit of the glue right there camera I have no complaints now let me show you one other feature about the camera that's pretty sick and um it even has more features than something like your Nexus 6 now no Nexus 6 those are stock devices and all that but look man for $350 right now looks like you just have a regular camera but when you hit that button now you got beauty you got filter let me put it like this you can see it you got beauty filter night professional magic you got magic focus panorama normal take any time HDR you got smart scene ultra pixel and picture note now let me just show you this real quick and we're not going to go into all of those they're basically self explanatory you got all these filters you know all your standard Instagram filters you can do all that stuff but let me show you something with this if you hit the professional button now once you go to professional you can change the focus you can change the shutter speed the white balance the ISO and you can either change the exposure alright so now what you go to to professional mode you have all the settings on the top this is a 350 dollar foam that's giving you all these features and options in the camera play with it for yourself alright I'm not going to turn this into a straight-up camera review but trust me when I tell you it takes great pictures now low-light at night not the best in the world not the best in the world but a lot of cameras even HTC I would say this camera right here is better than the one on the HTC m9 and that was a $700 phone and change this camera has more sentence to it and it takes better pictures now nine times out of 10 you're going to be taking pictures with some decent lighting you're not going to have a problem with this I takes great pictures sick pipe Sikhism that's only way to describe it this is a sick camera for $350 phone 24 megapixels next let's talk about the processor the processor real quick now you got the mediatek helio x10 processor which is octa-core clocked in that 2.0 gigahertz all that good stuff what does that mean basically your phone is not going to lag that's what that means that means you can have all of these apps open at one time with no lag all right so the phone is not going to lab opens and close apps really quickly not the fastest in the world but it opens and closes up everything no lag no hiccups no you know no extra extra long waiting periods process on this is what you're expecting when you hear when you hear all these fancy terms like octa-core 2.0 gigahertz when you hear all that stuff you're expecting your phone to not lag and basically this phone is not going to lag now with the UI you get an Android 5 lollipop and I will say this the stock UI on it is the skin is pretty light so you're not going to get no lag with that skin but the skin itself is wack now if you're using the stock skin there's no app drawer there's no app drawer on the stock skin and if you I remember when I did the unboxing video I told you I was feeling the keyboard that got old really quick right the keyboard got old super quick and I ended up going back to I'll show you right here I ended up going back to stock Google keyboard alright now one thing about the keyboard that comes with the UI that's initially on the phone it has a cool feature it has that that emoji predictive text which is fun for about 5 minutes but after a while it gets annoying and what I mean by that is say you're talking to your girl fellows or you're talking in your boyfriend whatever you're doing for me I'm talking to my girl so if I say what's up baby if I text what's up baby as soon as I hit enter it's gonna put the the newborn baby emoji right after that now that's not cool when you're trying to be on some romantic and you're trying to be on you know yeah your player vibe you're not gonna send a girl with a baby with a picture of a newborn baby that's throwing all the wrong signals that's the last thing you want to say I saw that the the text the emoji takes the keyboard that they got on it it's cool and it's fun for a few minutes but after a while you're going to get really tired of that the keyboard is really cluttered with a lot of settings and options sometimes you know sometimes less is more and one thing about blue day day they went overboard with the settings and the options and the features and we're getting into some of that in a minute but sometimes you could go overboard with too many sentence all right so that keyboard had too many sentence so that's why I had to take it back to the regular stock Google keyboard and also with the arm home launcher you don't have a app drawer so that's kind of whack so now I just went to the regular Google now launcher you can just download this right from the market and then basically if you look at my phone it looks like a nexus it looks like a stock Nexus device with the Google now launcher right so that's the easy easy work around to that prop I saw the processors the processor this is a go you're not going to have any problems is super super super smooth super fast super lag free next now this phone does have dual SIM slots on the back I now shout out to everybody who caught that - I forgot which video that I was that I was doing I think it was for the one of these trap phones and I said dual SIM everybody crazy in the comments every time I say that word now I kind of laughed to myself I always think about dual SIM alright this doesn't have dual SIM and that would be nice but it has dual SIM slots I so you got dual SIM slots or your cat says using this as a trap own you know how that's going to be important or if you're using this at your travel phone or your backup phone especially as your travel phone dual SIM slots maybe that laughs dual SIM slots is going to come into play I said asking I said that's a hot little feature especially on it on the $350 trap phone a budget phone or backup phone to have to slim upses they have two SIM slots try saying that fast I you'll see what I'm talking about to have two of them no that's a plus iso dual SIM slots like that okay let me start let's get focused let's get focused right let me just keep moving next now this phone does have a notification LED on the front I'm not gonna mention any names of certain phones that don't have that that might not be a big deal to you but for me with other phones I like to see my little notification light going off to let me know that I got messages now you can turn that on and off if you want sometimes you know you don't want you don't want people to know that you got a message you know that's it if you got one of those nosey girlfriends or nosy boyfriends when they see that light flashing that's just like um that's like putting a piece of cheese on a mousetrap that's drawing them right to the phone so you want to be able to disable that and you can disable that on this phone but when you buy yourself or if you know you with somebody who who don't got sticky fingers and then you roll up in your business then you can just leave that notification like on but that's just a plus to have on your phone this phone does have NFC alright next NFC now a lot of a lot of trap phones a lot of budget phones or whatever you want to call them a lot of them they they they scrimp out or you know they're real cheap with the features and all that because you know they want to save cost for the price well blue there they date you know they skimped out on a few on a few features but you do have NFC I see you got NFC on this so if you're buying all these new Bluetooth speakers and this is going to be a media home then you at least you're going to be able to connect it using NFC next now we'll talk about the battery real quick I already said that's something I don't like because the battery you know you're not going to get a full four hours of heavy use with it but if you go to power saving mode and you turn off all the hectic feedback and you turn the screen brightness down you're not going to have a problem getting through a full eight hours with this all right so let me just be clear about that because I know I said I didn't like the battery at the beginning but don't not buy the phone because you weren't about not being able to get a full eight hours you know workday with it you'll get that you just can't have the phone on maximum brightness you can't be watching videos all day long with it you know having all the hectic feedback on and super strong intensity vibration you have to you know you have to tweet the power saving settings a little bit have to be a little bit more mindful but you will be able to get a full eight hours with this next now this phone does have high five audio and what that is is it's similar to HTC boomsound if you don't if you if you don't know what that is basically it's like an a sound boost so it doesn't work right now but with the phone like this it will only activate when you plug in headphones now I gotta say this I was a little bit skeptical about that at first you know for 350 bucks I was I was like maybe it won't even sound you know maybe it won't sound too different maybe I just make the volume go up a little bit but I gotta say I'm impressed with the hi-fi sound now keep in mind I'm using good good headphones not the nuttiest free headphones that come with your iPhone or your Samsung I'm using the set up of quality headphones that matter of fact I was just testing it a little while ago with the monster DNA's I had the DNA 2.0 those headphones sound great I put them on with this phone and I played some music it sounded good when I hit the high flyer audio you got more bass to fight the headphones started getting that vibration that you like got more bass and it got louder so that means that it works so the hi-fi audio on this it definitely works now I'm not gonna say I'm blown away it's not like HTC boomsound when you activate boom sound with your headphones on you you really get that boom this is it sounds better alright so let's let's say let's say it like that when you activate hi-fi audio on this it's gonna sound better it's not like you're going to activate it and you don't know it's on or not that's how you know something is whack when you turn it on you don't even know it's on you'll notice on and you'll know when it's off on this phone and so high-five audio this is ago next the speaker now although I hate the speaker placement the speaker does sound good let's um I get down a quick demonstration of the speakers and why we add it you could check out the display for yourself too because this might be a media phone I'll pull up a video we get some sound I know this is on one of my old kiloton see videos listen to the sound just one of those drunk killer instinct videos nice in this game you see how the display looks though it looks beautiful I listened to the sale is let me work watching you work there oh my god I did I know I yelled up y'all want to just want to see if I get a win on that it looks this looks like I'm gonna get a window I don't usually take it to many elves but you never know though oh yeah this is a womb as always every over okay how do I want to send about it the sound is great I still over fellas don't worry about it let him get some shots off oh boy this is a fun game well you get the idea I haven't seen killer instinct so long my bad fellas I just got caught up watching it I might have to I might have to dust that game out come back out every time it what you see for yourself quality picture with this big giant six inch screen and quality sound now although I hate the placement chances off using this as your media phone go out and buy some little cheap duck you notice they make Universal ones up I'll throw the link if you I really want to see one I got a bunch of them though cheap Universal ducks that's made to put your phone and landscape any phone that you got and they'll just stay in the desk like this so with that you'll still have access to your speaker so to speak on this is a go now one more thing I want to talk about that I like with this phone and this is what I was saying that sometimes you know less is more but sometimes more is more features features and options now this phone has so many features options motions and gestures let me show you one now this is one of my favorite ones on my note when your phone is on the table you wave your hand over the screen and opens up the notifications right I'm really feeling that next with a big phone like this you got the double tap to wake up the screen let's try that again double tap to wake up the screen now let me go let's go to the Settings real quick let me show you how many and this is what I'm saying let me show you how many different features you got all right let's go to smart gestures all right so you can look at all the smart gestures you got smart down you got smart answer now smart down means if you watch it if you reading a text message just hold the phone to your ear and they'll dial that number now I'm not going to go through all of them real quick that'll take all day but I will show you them you got smart answer pick up the phone automatically answer it you got pop pause pause alarm if you're if you're getting an alarm turn your phone upside down you got black screen gestures this way when the screen is off you could set it up with say I just put on the let the letter V I'll write the V on the screen and take me right to a specific app that I that I assign it to that's a nice little feature right there you got smart vibration remind this way if you're getting alerts and your phone is are off or silent or with this phone with a bug in it and you don't get them notifications all the time when you pick up your phone off the table it'll vibrate and you know that immediately check your notifications but so many to choose from you got smart bright screen double click the awake you got air gesture that's the one I just showed ah you got touchless touchless unlock touchless tie hop that marble-mouthed touchless desktop control touchless image browsing and touch list video control and i'll show you what that is real quick say we go to the camera right and we go to now if I want to scroll to the next picture I can just wipe my flop my hand across the screen and take me to the next picture like to go back one all of these motions and options and features and gestures and all that stuff that's just a plus on a $350 phone you're not expecting all of this stuff but it's there it's there there could actually main this phone as your main phone if you really wanted to now you'll be taking the L with certain stuff but you can main this phone and get away with it all right so so many motions and gestures I'm definitely feeling that next let's talk about the lag factor now lag factor we'll get into this real quick on a scale of one to ten ten being super laggy one being super smooth no lag at all on the scale of one to ten I put this out of three all right you don't really see too much lag but you do get occasional lags here and there the phone will slow down occasionally when you got too many apps open at the same time which is um one of my notorious problems I like to have a lot of apps open at the same time and I noticed that that will give you a little bit of hiccup here and there that goes back to one of my grapes of why I like to close all of my apps at once because I'm the type of dude before you know it I literally have 30 apps or 40 apps open at the same time that's a lot of swiping all right so on the lag factor on a scale of 1 to 10 I'll give this a three minimum lag all right I'm not going to say no lag at all because I've experienced lag so I can't say that but you do it a little you know you do get the minimum amount of like I so minimum lag that's about a three and last but not least the floss factor now what is the force factor we wish you everybody should know by now but if you don't know that means when you're out somewhere and somebody pulls out their Galaxy s6 edge+ somebody pulls out their iPhone 6s somebody pulls out the HTC m9 the v10 the Nexus 6p and you got this phone in your hand are you on top of the food chain or do you have to put this phone back in your pocket and fall back and wait for everybody to leave and then you come back out as the boss well with this phone for 350 bucks frost factors the last thing you should be worried about with this now I will say this I will say this two unique phone I've never seen anybody with using one yet I saw I will say that so if you're one of those people that like to have stuff that nobody else got or you like to be the one oddball or the one you know the one different person out of the crew then yeah then you're going to do floss back there's going to be off the chains with this because probably you're not going to see anybody with this you will see people with the 1+2 you will see people you know what you write like right now for 350 a lot of people won't buy this for 350 they'll go out and buy a nexus 6 you know you can buy a use next to six for 300 or you can buy a use Galaxy Note so a lot of people won't buy this phone a lot of people around half a flagship phone that was a you know older flagship phone maybe the last version maybe the iPhone 6 you know maybe iPhone 6 plus you know the certain phones you could get right down for 350 dollars that used to be 800 or 900 dollars you can go get a Galaxy Note edge right now for 350 bucks so some people will rather get that than this so if you buy this you will be unique so I will give it some shine points for being unique but if I got to put a number on the floor factor on a scale of one to ten I'll give this I'll give this about a seven because it does look nice it's a big giant six-inch gold phone so yeah it's not the shiniest phone but it is a big gold phone so when you're holding it in your hand outside you are going to kind of look like a boss especially people going to see the fingerprint scanner they're gonna know it's up-to-date phone but once most of the time when people see blue the first thing that comes to their mind is um you know trap phones or you know cheap budget phones so when they see that they might think that for a second but the the two-tone flash all right the camera and they you need the fingerprint scanner right here kind of gives it that premium look to it so you do get a few extra shine points on net but I would not be pulling this out if you about to get into some phone wars and somebody got an iPhone 6s plus and some I got a Nexus 6p I come out with my note 5 on my s6 edge+ don't bring this out and try to you know shut nobody down in the phone wars I don't do that or you would be holding a serious L so that sums it up should you buy this phone yes or no and I would say yes I would highly recommend this phone this phone is assertive I'd go and it's a certified win for the price I would highly recommend this for three hundred and fifty bucks everything that I mentioned that I didn't like and all these little quirks and bugs and all that stuff that still doesn't detract from the fact that this is a 300 ml $350 6 inch foam with a high res display nice speakers on it a great camera and a quality build so you can't go wrong for 350 bucks I'm definitely giving this the seal of approval by this as your trap foam body size your travel foam by this as your social media foam because you can put a micro SD card in it and briefly that's what I was talking about why I said I have this phone in the bed with me because a lot of times that night I have all my phones on the table charging up for the next day but I still want to have a phone in the bed with me that I can turn on afterward about charging and I probably won't take it out bounced the next day when I take all my phones off the charge and I'm walking out the door now put this one on the charger and keep it moving so this phone is always in the bed with me so this is the phone that I'm on Instagram with I'm on YouTube I'm on Facebook and Twitter and this is a social media phone they're a big six inch screen with this nice display it's perfect for that this is also going to be a good travel phone alright so when you get on that airplane you got to go take that six hour flight you have your Galaxy Note or your s6 or whatever your heavy here the phone is have that in your pocket turn that off save the battery because when you're traveling you never know how long you're going to be in that Airport you might get stuck the flight might get delayed you know your phone is not going to on a good travel day your phone might not last you the whole day no matter what phone you got I do you never know traveling could be a nightmare so you have a nice backup phone with you like this now when you travel so as soon as I hit that airplane I turn this phone off I don't put it on airplane mode I don't know I turn it completely off to save the battery I put a micro SD card in here with a bunch of movies on it I watch some movies listen to music drain this phone down and then when I get off the phone activate the beast mode phone again alright so this is a perfect kind of phone for that as track phones go this might be the best trap phone out I got three more right now we're going to put them to the test but I don't see nothing taking this uh taking a spot for this I got a six I think it's a six and a half inch phone and I got on deck I got two other trap phones so we're gonna get into another battle of trap phones probably next week when I get off vacation not vacation vacation when I get off vacation after next week we'll get into the Battle of the trap phones but right now this is a serious serious trap form right here you're going to love this one hit me up in the comments let me know what you think deucesyo what's up everybody it's your boy floss back again with another video and today we're going to do the real review of the blue pur XL first let me start by saying this this phone is a major win and it's also a certified go now if you're new to my channel and you don't know about my rating scale let me break it down for you real quick when I say something is a win that has to do with the price that means that the price is right when I say something is a go that means that I'm feeling it and I'm highly recommending it for you and I'll give you a little example if I'm at work and I go to lunch let's say I go to McDonald's and I order a burger off the dollar menu when I get back to work if you ask me how was lunch I'm gonna tell you it was a win I was hungry I only spent a dollar and I got lunch that's a win the price is right now if I'm at work and I go to lunch let's say I go to Sammy's and I order fifty dollar lobster tail when I get back to work if you ask me how was lunch I'm gonna tell you it was a go it was a delicious meal and I'm recommending you go ahead and try that lobster tail alright so that's how my rating scale goes so with this phone you're getting a win and you're getting to go now just like anything else that I review there's always going to be some things that I don't like so we'll start with that first and then we'll get into everything that I do like now we got the usual suspects in now real quick also if y'all fellas at home y'all want to play a drinking game every time you hear me say 350 bucks have a drink and I guarantee you you're going to be drunk by the end of this video first thing about this phone that I don't like that even though it's only 350 bucks no wireless charging okay so now for that price I'm not gonna hold that against them you know this is not the top dog top of the line top of the food chain phone for 350 bucks you know you're still getting a quality phone but there's some stuff missing now if you got used to having a wireless charge on your phones and you got a whole bunch of wireless charges laying around everywhere that's something that you know you're gonna miss is it a deal breaker not even close but this is the stuff that I got to mention - yup no wireless charging next no fast charge now that's kind of important yeah we talked about this yesterday with the Nexus 6 real review you know you got the shower and shave phone this ain't it I descend this is not the phone that you're gonna come home and put on the charger for 10 minutes and then you know go rock out for another 7 hours you're not going to do that I'm gonna have to have a couple of hours dedicated for charging your phone with this one all right so no fast charge next no removable battery now this is um this is kind of weird because the back panel does come off of this so now you're able to take the back cover off let me take it off like to show y'all front you can take the back cover off but you can't take the battery off so that's kind of weird if you know if you got a phone that they allow you to take the back cover off you should have you should be able to remove the battery now understand when you got the unibody phones you can't take the battery out but this phone the battery is right there you could physically see it but um you can't you can't change it so no removable battery we'll talk more about battery but that's something that don't like next now this has to do with the build quality double-edged sword right here I like to build but the sides of this phone are super sharp all right this is not the most comfortable phone to hold in your hand now you could easily fix that and just drop a case on this but if you don't buy this as a trap phone or a backup phone or work phone you're probably not going to want to invest too much money with accessories and all that stuff you're probably just going to want to use it as is not the most comfortable phone to hold in your hand now if you happen to be making a phone call while you're peeling some potatoes get any sharp edges you know you probably like that but for day-to-day use I'm not really feeling these sharp super sharp edges right not the most comfortable phone to hold this isn't a deal breaker not at all next the touch capacitive buttons don't light up on the bottom alright so let me let's open the phone up real quick you see you got your recently used apps your home button and you got your back button look closely you see them but they don't light up now that's really not that big of a deal because after using the phone for a couple of days you you'll have the buttons memorized but why not let them light up you know that's just you know companies scrimping and saving a dollar they could have left the buttons light up all right so I'm that's just something I don't like now I know a lot of you are gonna say I'm being picky and I'm being petty the phones only $350 but money is money by when I spend $350 I'm expecting light-up buttons okay so no light-up buttons not a deal-breaker but blue come on hi come on next speaker placement now to speak on this is good we'll talk about that later but the speakers on the back of the phone and if y'all watch any of my videos you know I say this every time that's the worst possible place to put a speaker all right that's the worst place to put the speaker I'd rather have the speaker on the bottom on the top of the phone even on the side of the phone anywhere but the back and why because when you're listening to music or you know you're watching a video or something yeah you might have your phone understand but a lot of times you'll have your phone flat on the table and once you have your phone in the table like that now you muffle it out the music and if you holding the phone in your hand look where the speakers at right on the bottom if I'm holding the phone in my hand I'm basically muffling out the speaker and that happens all the time with this phone I find myself having to use it in our landscape mode and hold it by the corners like this so that's where I could get the full the full effect from the speakers so speaker placement on the back that's the worst possible place to put any speak on any phone including this bloom pure XL not feeling it mix the battery now with this did we'll talk more about this later - this is something I do like but I don't like at the same time you got a big giant three thousand five hundred million battery in this phone so when you hear those numbers you're going to think that okay this is a beast this phone is going to last all day and that's why I always tell you don't don't buy stuff based on specs and based on how it looks on paper because in real life you know things change and that's a perfect example right here with this blue pure XL three thousand five hundred million battery but with heavy use now been using this as my social media phone with heavy use I haven't I haven't got a full four hours yet before I could take it back to the charger so you got a big giant thirty five hundred million battery that you can't even get a full savage mode four hours of heavy use that's a no-go all right so I'm not really feeling that and this was and this brings you back to no removable battery so if you're outside you know you're getting crazy going on full savage mode on Instagram and Twitter and Facebook and all of that you can't even just swap out a new battery there's no fast charge so you can't even just plug it in real quick and let the charge and get back into the action you know no fast charge no wireless charge and no removable battery so with those three negatives having a phone that doesn't do great with the battery that's just all-around that's all around L right there all right when I say L that stands for loss all right so you taking the L with that is that a deal-breaker for me no 350 bucks for this you know we'll be going we're going to we're going to cut them some slack because of the price now this phone was $800 then I will be ripping them up but for 350 bucks we're going to let them drive with that it's just something I don't like though next now this is something I talked about yesterday too with the Nexus 6 real review you can't close out all your apps at one time now a lot of people say I'm being picky with that you know that's just you know meet me own nitpicking with stuff but you got to remember if you're used to using Samsung phones and HTC phones and LG phones you're used to just closing out all your apps at once just like this you say I got all of these apps open when I'm ready to close them I just press one button and they go on now let me address something really quick yesterday I gave you an example I said look a lot of times when I'm hanging out with my daughter she loves to take my phone and take selfies for me to have in my phone and she just won't always want to play with some of my new phones she go she always want to hold my phone so I told y'all before I give her the phone I like to close out all of my apps because a lot of times I'll be doing adult stuff on my phone that I like I know that's not suitable for little kids and not to mention I just own with nobody in my business not only my daughter this I don't want nobody my business so when I did the review yesterday for the Nexus a lot of people were saying oh you know just take the phone and put it in guest mode and look let me answer that missing the point I put in the phone and guest mode is not solving the problem of something that I don't like that's just you know working around the problem because it's not only for handing the phone to my daughter or somebody else it's about what happens when your phone starts to slow down or lag or you're just at that moment of the day when you realize you've got 70 apps open at once and you're ready to close them all out you want to just press that one button how hard is it for these companies to just drop that into the user interface HTC got it LG got it Samsung got it how hard is it to just add that one little button you can't do it on your iPhone you can't do on your Nexus 6 it's pretty annoying all right now the same thing with that go go to guest mode when you're giving somebody the phone the same amount of trouble that will take you to swipe down and go to guest mode and activate guest mode how easy would it be to just press this button and press one button to close it it would be easier to do that then go to guest mode and it's even easier because after you get the phone back from that person now you got to go deactivate guest mode so you know fixing issues doesn't solve the fact that I don't like it there's always going to be a fix to something I don't like whether it is buying a third party app or downloading the third party app or it's going to be buying an accessory there's always going to be an extra fix to that but that doesn't change the fact that I don't like it all right so I don't like the fact that you can't close all the apps like I said I'm just spoiled from Samsung and HTC and LG I don't see why these companies just don't incorporate that it's so simple next fingerprint scan on the back now we talked about this yesterday - I hate the fingerprint scanner on the back right now this is now before we even talk about the placement of the fingerprint scanner this is one thing this is probably the thing that really kills me the most about this phone the fingerprint scanner doesn't work now when I did the unboxing video I told y'all I hit the forums up and a lot of people were saying that you're not gonna fix it with the update right now I was two weeks ago that a lot of people been asking me was taking me so long to do this video I wanted to give blue a fair chance so I was going to wait and see if they push out an update because the phone is on sale right now so I wanted to give them a chance to push out the update before I come online and start bashing and still to this day no update the fingerprint scanner just doesn't work now it works you could set up your fingerprint it'll read your thing and all of that when you lock the device and you try to use your fingerprint it won't work boy I'll work it you know it's a real bug with this phone that's why everybody thinks everybody not in depth just you know including me everybody in the forums think that it's a software issue because sometimes you lock the phone with the fingerprint scanner the phone will be locked and you can just open it without using a fingerprint scanner all right so the fingerprint scanner on this just doesn't work it's very buggy I would say it's trash I had the fingerprint scanner on this is trash but the phone is 350 bucks so we're gonna have to let them ride with that but don't buy this phone if you specifically bind it to have that fingerprint scanner access I don't buy it for that reason alone because the fingerprint scanner to this day as of November 7th it's not working now let me just address something else real quick now in the nexus 6 video shout out to the slam boys I in the Nexus 6 video I said one of the things I don't like about fingerprint scanners on the back is because when you're using the phone on the table you have to keep turning the phone over or lifting it up to open up the screen and a lot of people left me comments saying that well you know you don't have to turn the phone over and put them you know use the fingerprint scanner you could just use the pattern or the swipe unlock and let me just address that real quick of course I know you could do that of course when you set up a fingerprint scanner you have to set up a pattern or pin lock as a backup everybody knows that like a lot of people were saying it to me like if I didn't know that of course you can do that but that's not the point again a lot of people missing the point the point is out of you know you just spent all this money and you want the latest technology which is a fingerprint scanner you want to use it I tell me using the pattern lock or the pin lock that's not solving the problem of me not liking the placement that's just working around it if I wanted to use the pattern of the pin lock every day why would I buy a phone with a fingerprint scanner why would I even care about that why would I even mention fingerprint scanners if I'm never going to use it I'm just going to be worried about patterns or pins you know it's just like if you go out and buy a new car that has comfort access that means that you could leave your car keys in your pocket you walk up to your car you put your thumb on the door and then the door opens if I buy a new car that has that feature I'm going to tell you how I like it now say for instance when it's winter time and it's cold outside and you know it's freezing cold when you put your finger on it it doesn't work I'm gonna tell you how that's that's something about the car I don't like every time it's cold outside or whenever it's snowing I can't put my thumb on the door to open the door you're always gonna have those people that say well look is that's not a big deal all you have to do is take your keys out of your pocket and you know open the car door manually of course you could do that that doesn't change the fact that you don't like the fact that you can't use your comfort axis that's not going to change the fact that you don't like it that's just you know helping you get around that problem that's not a fix for the problem that's a workaround so when I make these videos please when you're in the comment section we're not talking this this is not a we don't need all the workarounds this is just my personal opinion of stuff I don't like now everything that I don't like I already told y'all if it's a deal-breaker I'm going to tell you it's a deal-breaker and I'm not buying this phone or I'm not using it if you don't hear me say it's a deal-breaker that means that I already know a workaround or I already already know a way to fix that issue or to make it better but it doesn't change the fact that I don't like it alright next let's keep it moving I know I'm taking a long time with this but um here we haven't fun we talking let's keep it moving especially for $350 now that's not peanuts that's still money it's less money than $1,000 or $800 but it's still money so I'm still going to give y'all the same quality review that I give you know one of these top dog phones bugs yeah this phone has a few bugs to it one of the bugs is with the notification bar now if you like me you know and you a social media beast and you're getting a thousand one notifications every day sometimes when you scroll down on your notification bar you get a little a little lag a little lag a little screen hiccup not not much I would say I would say not even once a day not even once a day but it's just something I gotta mention this way when you get yours if it happens to you don't say I didn't mention it doesn't happen a lot though doesn't happen a lot it happens way less than it does on your Galaxy Note 4 your note 4 edge you remember that notification lag is serious on that this one you get a little bit of bugs with that and another bug that I don't like about this is certain apps the notification sounds don't work now I give you a perfect example couple couple is one of my favorite apps that I use UC couple that's the app I use to talk to my girl that app you can go inside of that app and you could change notification sounds and I always put a specific sound so this way when I get that alert I already know who it is I already know a lot of times I don't feel like playing with the phone but when I hear something for my girl and I say okay let me answer it a lot of times with this phone when you get notifications you don't you don't the phone doesn't ring it doesn't make a sound and it's random because sometimes you'll get the notification alert and sometimes you won't now this is not my main phone so I'm always going to have other phones on at the same time so I and all of my phones I basically got the same couple of look so I'll hit alerts going on for my other phones and a lot of times you know this is my in the bed phone right now we'll talk about that later I have this phone right next to me in the bed and I didn't hear a sound so now pick up I sent some back and I have the phone in my hand I just want to make sure I'm not going crazy and I get another alert it'll pop up on the notification bar but no sound and then right after that I get an email and the sound will play so I go to a couple I check check make sure everything's right everything's right so that's a little bug right there it happens with couple happens with what's that that's the two apps that I've seen it happen with right now most and I haven't seen anything with the emails and the phone calls no problems with that but just certain third-party apps you're not going to get a notification sound 100% of the time I don't like that and last but not least no split-screen multitasking now that's a big deal for me especially with a big giant phone this big now you got a six inch display why waste it on one app at a time you know if I go on Instagram now I'm just on Instagram I just let's go to Instagram let's let's see what we got on deck I'll be on Instagram now I got this big giant screen I can only use Instagram now of course I could be spoiled from using HTML using Samsung and LG phones that do have split screen multitasking but no split screen multitasking on this I think for a phone this big that should be mandatory this is almost like you know if you put it next to a nexus the the Nexus 7 tablet it's almost the same size as a tablet so you should have a split screen multitasking and that's another thing too let me just talk about that real quick yesterday when I did that video for the Nexus 6p real review I said the same thing I don't like it I don't like the fact that you can't do split-screen multitasking and a lot of people started hitting me up right after that saying no just go to developer options it's in there and let me address that real quick it's not in there it's not in developer options you can go to developer options and you can install the file to make it work which I've done now a lot of people I don't know if y'all think that I'm just some random guy playing with phones but I'm down with xda-developers I've been down with them since day one so anything that's going on in the world of Android and all that I read the same articles as y'all I'm getting all the same alerts every time they figure out a new a new workaround or new route or a new ROM that comes out I'm hip to all of this stuff too I just don't like talking about it too much because I like to make my reviews basically for everybody not just for you know tech heads and geeks that you know really do that kind of stuff I like to make my reviews for everybody the average person and for the hardcore you know heavy hitter tech guy now before I do a real review of course I'm going to try all that stuff out so what I did was I was on XDA right before I did the real review and open two days before that and I downloaded that I installed that little file that you got to do to make the split-screen work and it does work but the problem with it is it doesn't work good so therefore I'm not going to mention that in the video because to be honest with John it kind of works like if you buy a Nexus 6 you the part of the reason of buying that foam is because you want to smooth stock Android experience you don't want no lag you don't want no force closes you don't want apps crashing on you you want to stock Nexus that's going to give you that that solid smooth no experience once you add that split screen feature it doesn't work that good your phone is going to crash certain apps are going to crash the phone the phone is going to start freezing a lot I had to delete that immediately because it started making my Nexus run like trash so the Nexus just none this is off the topic you can do split screen multitasking on the Nexus but right now while it's in the experimental stages I would highly recommend against it unless you just you know want to want to play with it for yourself but it's going to freeze it's going to crash you're not going to like it like then go check on the forums for yourself if you don't believe now what that being said I know I wasted a lot of time with that with that being said that's everything that I don't like phone this big should have split screen multitasking blue if you watch this video for your next 6-inch phone put that in there alright now let's get into everything that I do like and it's a bunch of stuff first up the price right now that's probably the thing about this phone I like the most the price this is 350 bucks I drink up 350 bucks for this phone you cannot complain about the price for what you get for the complete package you cannot complain about this price now if this phone was eight hundred dollars yeah all those things I mentioned that didn't like it would hurt a little bit more for 350 bucks I could easily overlook everything that I just mentioned that didn't like I the price on this it's a hundred percent win it's a certified it's a certified steal right here for 350 bucks next let's talk about the build on this now I love the build I love the build on this a plastic back at least has a matte finish to it so if it was a glossy back matte of matte if it was a glossy back plastic finish it would feel a little bit more cheap but they went with the matte look which kind of looks nice with this gold color let me just close this hole with kind of looks nice you don't get too many fingerprints with the gold one you get the metal around the edges you got gorilla glass on the front the build quality on this is great it's a nice heavy foam nice nice dedicated buttons that have nice clicks to it nothing cheap about this build now if you peel the back of off and hold in your hand you get a back cover might feel a little bit flimsy but while it's on the phone it feels great alright it feels great just make sure when you take the back of off now I'm like I'm in really focus on this right now make sure you snap it all the way back into place though but it does look great so you have a good build feels great in the hand I know feels great in the hand fellas that's what she said build quality nothing to complain about next now let's talk about the display real quick you got a 6 inch quad-hd display right that's 2560 by 1440 494 the PPI patrol the display now keep in mind this display panel is made by Samsung it looks beautiful only issue with it is the viewing angles now if you out in direct sunlight you will have to go down and you will have to adjust the brightness right but for 350 bucks not the biggest deal in the world but look how this display looks beautiful 6 inch quad HD display I'm loving it I saw nothing to complain there with the bill if you ain't all that resolution and PPI you're going to like this you're going to like this especially for $350 now I'll tell you something real quick if somebody just gave you this phone if you didn't know nothing about blue pur XL you never heard of blue before which a lot of people didn't because you know they they use they they usually only make trap phones and when I say a trap phone that means a backup phone or work phone or you know your your phone that you don't really care about maybe your gym phone or your travel phone your spare phone that's what trap phone means all right so blue usually makes good track phones they usually cost one hundred two hundred dollars so a lot of people never really even gave him a good look if you never heard nothing about blue and somebody put this phone in your hand and told you that you know this is the new dog I got right here you and you wouldn't think this phone was three hundred fifty bucks trust me you would not think that so that goes that goes back to what I'm saying about the build quality on this it feels super premium and just looking at it if you didn't see the blue on the back you would think this is something by Sony this kind of gives you that Sony Xperia look to it you know they order up on look they always have those square kind of phones this looks just like that but build quality on this certified certified go next build quality is a go the display is a go let's talk about the camera let's go buy the camera real quick now you got an 8 megapixel camera on the front and it works good I'm not the best camera in the world but it works good let's talk about the camera on the back now 24 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization for 350 bucks that's a win now I know megapixels don't really mean anything in real life it's all depends on on the sensor and all that's you know the megapixels by itself don't really mean anything but with this camera it takes great pictures now let me pull up the camera real quick I'll show you a picture that I took let's see what we got here alright now this is a picture I took of some sneakers I bought for my daughter look at the detail now let me zoom in real quick look at the carbon-fiber detail now this is a picture this is one this is let's see all right so this is one with the flat this is with the flash you see it got a little bit brighter you can twist it like that that's with the flash and that's without the flash 24 megapixel camera but it takes some beautiful pitches you could even see a little bit of the glue right there camera I have no complaints now let me show you one other feature about the camera that's pretty sick and um it even has more features than something like your Nexus 6 now no Nexus 6 those are stock devices and all that but look man for $350 right now looks like you just have a regular camera but when you hit that button now you got beauty you got filter let me put it like this you can see it you got beauty filter night professional magic you got magic focus panorama normal take any time HDR you got smart scene ultra pixel and picture note now let me just show you this real quick and we're not going to go into all of those they're basically self explanatory you got all these filters you know all your standard Instagram filters you can do all that stuff but let me show you something with this if you hit the professional button now once you go to professional you can change the focus you can change the shutter speed the white balance the ISO and you can either change the exposure alright so now what you go to to professional mode you have all the settings on the top this is a 350 dollar foam that's giving you all these features and options in the camera play with it for yourself alright I'm not going to turn this into a straight-up camera review but trust me when I tell you it takes great pictures now low-light at night not the best in the world not the best in the world but a lot of cameras even HTC I would say this camera right here is better than the one on the HTC m9 and that was a $700 phone and change this camera has more sentence to it and it takes better pictures now nine times out of 10 you're going to be taking pictures with some decent lighting you're not going to have a problem with this I takes great pictures sick pipe Sikhism that's only way to describe it this is a sick camera for $350 phone 24 megapixels next let's talk about the processor the processor real quick now you got the mediatek helio x10 processor which is octa-core clocked in that 2.0 gigahertz all that good stuff what does that mean basically your phone is not going to lag that's what that means that means you can have all of these apps open at one time with no lag all right so the phone is not going to lab opens and close apps really quickly not the fastest in the world but it opens and closes up everything no lag no hiccups no you know no extra extra long waiting periods process on this is what you're expecting when you hear when you hear all these fancy terms like octa-core 2.0 gigahertz when you hear all that stuff you're expecting your phone to not lag and basically this phone is not going to lag now with the UI you get an Android 5 lollipop and I will say this the stock UI on it is the skin is pretty light so you're not going to get no lag with that skin but the skin itself is wack now if you're using the stock skin there's no app drawer there's no app drawer on the stock skin and if you I remember when I did the unboxing video I told you I was feeling the keyboard that got old really quick right the keyboard got old super quick and I ended up going back to I'll show you right here I ended up going back to stock Google keyboard alright now one thing about the keyboard that comes with the UI that's initially on the phone it has a cool feature it has that that emoji predictive text which is fun for about 5 minutes but after a while it gets annoying and what I mean by that is say you're talking to your girl fellows or you're talking in your boyfriend whatever you're doing for me I'm talking to my girl so if I say what's up baby if I text what's up baby as soon as I hit enter it's gonna put the the newborn baby emoji right after that now that's not cool when you're trying to be on some romantic and you're trying to be on you know yeah your player vibe you're not gonna send a girl with a baby with a picture of a newborn baby that's throwing all the wrong signals that's the last thing you want to say I saw that the the text the emoji takes the keyboard that they got on it it's cool and it's fun for a few minutes but after a while you're going to get really tired of that the keyboard is really cluttered with a lot of settings and options sometimes you know sometimes less is more and one thing about blue day day they went overboard with the settings and the options and the features and we're getting into some of that in a minute but sometimes you could go overboard with too many sentence all right so that keyboard had too many sentence so that's why I had to take it back to the regular stock Google keyboard and also with the arm home launcher you don't have a app drawer so that's kind of whack so now I just went to the regular Google now launcher you can just download this right from the market and then basically if you look at my phone it looks like a nexus it looks like a stock Nexus device with the Google now launcher right so that's the easy easy work around to that prop I saw the processors the processor this is a go you're not going to have any problems is super super super smooth super fast super lag free next now this phone does have dual SIM slots on the back I now shout out to everybody who caught that - I forgot which video that I was that I was doing I think it was for the one of these trap phones and I said dual SIM everybody crazy in the comments every time I say that word now I kind of laughed to myself I always think about dual SIM alright this doesn't have dual SIM and that would be nice but it has dual SIM slots I so you got dual SIM slots or your cat says using this as a trap own you know how that's going to be important or if you're using this at your travel phone or your backup phone especially as your travel phone dual SIM slots maybe that laughs dual SIM slots is going to come into play I said asking I said that's a hot little feature especially on it on the $350 trap phone a budget phone or backup phone to have to slim upses they have two SIM slots try saying that fast I you'll see what I'm talking about to have two of them no that's a plus iso dual SIM slots like that okay let me start let's get focused let's get focused right let me just keep moving next now this phone does have a notification LED on the front I'm not gonna mention any names of certain phones that don't have that that might not be a big deal to you but for me with other phones I like to see my little notification light going off to let me know that I got messages now you can turn that on and off if you want sometimes you know you don't want you don't want people to know that you got a message you know that's it if you got one of those nosey girlfriends or nosy boyfriends when they see that light flashing that's just like um that's like putting a piece of cheese on a mousetrap that's drawing them right to the phone so you want to be able to disable that and you can disable that on this phone but when you buy yourself or if you know you with somebody who who don't got sticky fingers and then you roll up in your business then you can just leave that notification like on but that's just a plus to have on your phone this phone does have NFC alright next NFC now a lot of a lot of trap phones a lot of budget phones or whatever you want to call them a lot of them they they they scrimp out or you know they're real cheap with the features and all that because you know they want to save cost for the price well blue there they date you know they skimped out on a few on a few features but you do have NFC I see you got NFC on this so if you're buying all these new Bluetooth speakers and this is going to be a media home then you at least you're going to be able to connect it using NFC next now we'll talk about the battery real quick I already said that's something I don't like because the battery you know you're not going to get a full four hours of heavy use with it but if you go to power saving mode and you turn off all the hectic feedback and you turn the screen brightness down you're not going to have a problem getting through a full eight hours with this all right so let me just be clear about that because I know I said I didn't like the battery at the beginning but don't not buy the phone because you weren't about not being able to get a full eight hours you know workday with it you'll get that you just can't have the phone on maximum brightness you can't be watching videos all day long with it you know having all the hectic feedback on and super strong intensity vibration you have to you know you have to tweet the power saving settings a little bit have to be a little bit more mindful but you will be able to get a full eight hours with this next now this phone does have high five audio and what that is is it's similar to HTC boomsound if you don't if you if you don't know what that is basically it's like an a sound boost so it doesn't work right now but with the phone like this it will only activate when you plug in headphones now I gotta say this I was a little bit skeptical about that at first you know for 350 bucks I was I was like maybe it won't even sound you know maybe it won't sound too different maybe I just make the volume go up a little bit but I gotta say I'm impressed with the hi-fi sound now keep in mind I'm using good good headphones not the nuttiest free headphones that come with your iPhone or your Samsung I'm using the set up of quality headphones that matter of fact I was just testing it a little while ago with the monster DNA's I had the DNA 2.0 those headphones sound great I put them on with this phone and I played some music it sounded good when I hit the high flyer audio you got more bass to fight the headphones started getting that vibration that you like got more bass and it got louder so that means that it works so the hi-fi audio on this it definitely works now I'm not gonna say I'm blown away it's not like HTC boomsound when you activate boom sound with your headphones on you you really get that boom this is it sounds better alright so let's let's say let's say it like that when you activate hi-fi audio on this it's gonna sound better it's not like you're going to activate it and you don't know it's on or not that's how you know something is whack when you turn it on you don't even know it's on you'll notice on and you'll know when it's off on this phone and so high-five audio this is ago next the speaker now although I hate the speaker placement the speaker does sound good let's um I get down a quick demonstration of the speakers and why we add it you could check out the display for yourself too because this might be a media phone I'll pull up a video we get some sound I know this is on one of my old kiloton see videos listen to the sound just one of those drunk killer instinct videos nice in this game you see how the display looks though it looks beautiful I listened to the sale is let me work watching you work there oh my god I did I know I yelled up y'all want to just want to see if I get a win on that it looks this looks like I'm gonna get a window I don't usually take it to many elves but you never know though oh yeah this is a womb as always every over okay how do I want to send about it the sound is great I still over fellas don't worry about it let him get some shots off oh boy this is a fun game well you get the idea I haven't seen killer instinct so long my bad fellas I just got caught up watching it I might have to I might have to dust that game out come back out every time it what you see for yourself quality picture with this big giant six inch screen and quality sound now although I hate the placement chances off using this as your media phone go out and buy some little cheap duck you notice they make Universal ones up I'll throw the link if you I really want to see one I got a bunch of them though cheap Universal ducks that's made to put your phone and landscape any phone that you got and they'll just stay in the desk like this so with that you'll still have access to your speaker so to speak on this is a go now one more thing I want to talk about that I like with this phone and this is what I was saying that sometimes you know less is more but sometimes more is more features features and options now this phone has so many features options motions and gestures let me show you one now this is one of my favorite ones on my note when your phone is on the table you wave your hand over the screen and opens up the notifications right I'm really feeling that next with a big phone like this you got the double tap to wake up the screen let's try that again double tap to wake up the screen now let me go let's go to the Settings real quick let me show you how many and this is what I'm saying let me show you how many different features you got all right let's go to smart gestures all right so you can look at all the smart gestures you got smart down you got smart answer now smart down means if you watch it if you reading a text message just hold the phone to your ear and they'll dial that number now I'm not going to go through all of them real quick that'll take all day but I will show you them you got smart answer pick up the phone automatically answer it you got pop pause pause alarm if you're if you're getting an alarm turn your phone upside down you got black screen gestures this way when the screen is off you could set it up with say I just put on the let the letter V I'll write the V on the screen and take me right to a specific app that I that I assign it to that's a nice little feature right there you got smart vibration remind this way if you're getting alerts and your phone is are off or silent or with this phone with a bug in it and you don't get them notifications all the time when you pick up your phone off the table it'll vibrate and you know that immediately check your notifications but so many to choose from you got smart bright screen double click the awake you got air gesture that's the one I just showed ah you got touchless touchless unlock touchless tie hop that marble-mouthed touchless desktop control touchless image browsing and touch list video control and i'll show you what that is real quick say we go to the camera right and we go to now if I want to scroll to the next picture I can just wipe my flop my hand across the screen and take me to the next picture like to go back one all of these motions and options and features and gestures and all that stuff that's just a plus on a $350 phone you're not expecting all of this stuff but it's there it's there there could actually main this phone as your main phone if you really wanted to now you'll be taking the L with certain stuff but you can main this phone and get away with it all right so so many motions and gestures I'm definitely feeling that next let's talk about the lag factor now lag factor we'll get into this real quick on a scale of one to ten ten being super laggy one being super smooth no lag at all on the scale of one to ten I put this out of three all right you don't really see too much lag but you do get occasional lags here and there the phone will slow down occasionally when you got too many apps open at the same time which is um one of my notorious problems I like to have a lot of apps open at the same time and I noticed that that will give you a little bit of hiccup here and there that goes back to one of my grapes of why I like to close all of my apps at once because I'm the type of dude before you know it I literally have 30 apps or 40 apps open at the same time that's a lot of swiping all right so on the lag factor on a scale of 1 to 10 I'll give this a three minimum lag all right I'm not going to say no lag at all because I've experienced lag so I can't say that but you do it a little you know you do get the minimum amount of like I so minimum lag that's about a three and last but not least the floss factor now what is the force factor we wish you everybody should know by now but if you don't know that means when you're out somewhere and somebody pulls out their Galaxy s6 edge+ somebody pulls out their iPhone 6s somebody pulls out the HTC m9 the v10 the Nexus 6p and you got this phone in your hand are you on top of the food chain or do you have to put this phone back in your pocket and fall back and wait for everybody to leave and then you come back out as the boss well with this phone for 350 bucks frost factors the last thing you should be worried about with this now I will say this I will say this two unique phone I've never seen anybody with using one yet I saw I will say that so if you're one of those people that like to have stuff that nobody else got or you like to be the one oddball or the one you know the one different person out of the crew then yeah then you're going to do floss back there's going to be off the chains with this because probably you're not going to see anybody with this you will see people with the 1+2 you will see people you know what you write like right now for 350 a lot of people won't buy this for 350 they'll go out and buy a nexus 6 you know you can buy a use next to six for 300 or you can buy a use Galaxy Note so a lot of people won't buy this phone a lot of people around half a flagship phone that was a you know older flagship phone maybe the last version maybe the iPhone 6 you know maybe iPhone 6 plus you know the certain phones you could get right down for 350 dollars that used to be 800 or 900 dollars you can go get a Galaxy Note edge right now for 350 bucks so some people will rather get that than this so if you buy this you will be unique so I will give it some shine points for being unique but if I got to put a number on the floor factor on a scale of one to ten I'll give this I'll give this about a seven because it does look nice it's a big giant six-inch gold phone so yeah it's not the shiniest phone but it is a big gold phone so when you're holding it in your hand outside you are going to kind of look like a boss especially people going to see the fingerprint scanner they're gonna know it's up-to-date phone but once most of the time when people see blue the first thing that comes to their mind is um you know trap phones or you know cheap budget phones so when they see that they might think that for a second but the the two-tone flash all right the camera and they you need the fingerprint scanner right here kind of gives it that premium look to it so you do get a few extra shine points on net but I would not be pulling this out if you about to get into some phone wars and somebody got an iPhone 6s plus and some I got a Nexus 6p I come out with my note 5 on my s6 edge+ don't bring this out and try to you know shut nobody down in the phone wars I don't do that or you would be holding a serious L so that sums it up should you buy this phone yes or no and I would say yes I would highly recommend this phone this phone is assertive I'd go and it's a certified win for the price I would highly recommend this for three hundred and fifty bucks everything that I mentioned that I didn't like and all these little quirks and bugs and all that stuff that still doesn't detract from the fact that this is a 300 ml $350 6 inch foam with a high res display nice speakers on it a great camera and a quality build so you can't go wrong for 350 bucks I'm definitely giving this the seal of approval by this as your trap foam body size your travel foam by this as your social media foam because you can put a micro SD card in it and briefly that's what I was talking about why I said I have this phone in the bed with me because a lot of times that night I have all my phones on the table charging up for the next day but I still want to have a phone in the bed with me that I can turn on afterward about charging and I probably won't take it out bounced the next day when I take all my phones off the charge and I'm walking out the door now put this one on the charger and keep it moving so this phone is always in the bed with me so this is the phone that I'm on Instagram with I'm on YouTube I'm on Facebook and Twitter and this is a social media phone they're a big six inch screen with this nice display it's perfect for that this is also going to be a good travel phone alright so when you get on that airplane you got to go take that six hour flight you have your Galaxy Note or your s6 or whatever your heavy here the phone is have that in your pocket turn that off save the battery because when you're traveling you never know how long you're going to be in that Airport you might get stuck the flight might get delayed you know your phone is not going to on a good travel day your phone might not last you the whole day no matter what phone you got I do you never know traveling could be a nightmare so you have a nice backup phone with you like this now when you travel so as soon as I hit that airplane I turn this phone off I don't put it on airplane mode I don't know I turn it completely off to save the battery I put a micro SD card in here with a bunch of movies on it I watch some movies listen to music drain this phone down and then when I get off the phone activate the beast mode phone again alright so this is a perfect kind of phone for that as track phones go this might be the best trap phone out I got three more right now we're going to put them to the test but I don't see nothing taking this uh taking a spot for this I got a six I think it's a six and a half inch phone and I got on deck I got two other trap phones so we're gonna get into another battle of trap phones probably next week when I get off vacation not vacation vacation when I get off vacation after
