this one is having the Qualcomm flagship processor that is the snapdragon 845 but the base variant of this device is selling in India for just twenty one thousand rupees and obviously for the price of performance ratio it's a great device I would say but yes there are quite a lot of cons also with this device so in this review I will divide it between the pros and cons so that you can decide if this is the right smartphone for your needs or not but before that let me go over the quick specs of this poco f1 as you can see it is having the Snapdragon 845 SOC and comes with six or gate eight gigabytes of RAM it has almost a 6.2 inch IPS LCD screen and storage will be 64 128 256 and other specs are on the screen for your reference so let's quickly jump between the pros and cons and let me give you my thoughts about this device then guys I tested this device mostly with my Airtel lesson and I used it in Hyderabad and even Mumia Mumbai I was travelling and I also tested it for one day with my chiozza so first let's talk about what are the things that actually liked about this device and we have to talk about the processor used on this it's not dragon 845 at this price point is a game changer and also they didn't compromise on the RAM and storage the base variant comes with six agree bytes of RAM and 64gb of internal storage so even if you go with the bay storage variant 21,000 you are getting a lot and I was actually very worried what are the cost-cutting I thought that the camera would be the downside of this device but I have to say that camera is also actually really good for the price point certainly one of the best cameras for the price point of query 1000 I will talk about the camera later on I'll also show you the samples so it stood the processor is the big thing about this device and now I'm going to another thing that I liked is that this one is having the highbreed aresome slot so even if you go with the base villain that comes with about 64 GB of storage you can put micro SD card slot and expand the storage and I feel the value of price point of this device is the base twenty one thousand rupees variant and also if you really require more storage you can go with the 128 gigabytes of median I frankly feel don't go with the 8 gigabyte RAM variants or the armored Edition that I have that is priced a little bit higher if you have that pricing you have better smartphones like the h2 zenfone 5 Z or the oneplus X so yeah for the price point of twenty one base I feel that's the best price point not moving to the screen I thought again the screen might be a compromise it's having a six point one eight inch screen almost a six point two inch screen let this notch design I will talk about the notches suddenly pretty big notch but in terms of screen quality the screen quality is good it's a high quality IPS great panel and the good thing is that many of these have phones that are on a budget compromise on the screen in terms of brightness and viewing angles that's not the case with this one the viewing angles are good and even in terms of brightness it's actually a very bright panelist I believe it can go up to 400 nits so even when I was using it outdoors and direct sunlight I was traveling to Mumbai as I told I'd never had any shows with the brightness when you keep it on auto brightness even the dark sunlight it's easily visible so in terms of screen quality you don't have to worry now I'm going to other things up is that as I told you the not is actually pretty big on this one and the reason for that is I don't know why they did it apart from everybody is using the not so I get it but it's so big because they also have a blaster infrared on this one and the infrared actually helps for face unlocking even in pitch darkness even if there is no light the what is a face unlocking works so yes that works but again I feel due to that they happen to not unnecessarily pretty big on this device but yeah face unlocking works very well even in pitch darkness and also a girl fingerprint scanner is there and it works very well when shoes with the fingerprint scanner also like the fact that the fingerprint scanners position as you can see your finger actually reaches there easily it's in a proper position unlike many phones these days which are not giving the fingerprint scanner in the ideal location so in terms of face unlocking and fingerprints no it shows now I'm going to cellular call quality as I mentioned I used it with a 10 and even Geok and I had no issues even when I was in Mumbai roaming I was with Al and I had no issues it was able to latch to a teller in 4G network in Mumbai again no issues regarding network reception call quality was clear now I'm moving to the speakers again it's having they say that it's having a dual speaker I'll talk about that in the cons because it's not a truce or dual speaker part if we forget about the dual speaker the earpiece access speaker the bottom speaker is adequately loved but again I'll talk about that later now let me also talk about the headphone jack given on this one fortunately it has a headphone jack as you can see and it runs on this custom UI that is new UI by default if you just plug in the headphone the sound output is really flat but again as it's me UI it has that headphones enhancement but and when I went into that and I tested with a couple of headphones for example these are the audio technica some JBL ear buds and when I change the profiles I could get some very good output so again in terms of headphone output also they have actually done a good job now I'm going to gaming again it's a Snapdragon heat 45 SOC so yes it does play games fine I tried pop G I'm not good at plug G but I'd played Bob G and I also tried other games like asphalt extreme and even asphalt 8 and they ran fine but for some reason a sprite 9 was not available directly from the Play Store and I did some digging I thinks it's a bug with the developer because even on the zenfone 5 Z if you search it right now you're not able to get a sprite 9 and I did contact Xiaomi officials regarding that they say it's a bug and that will be fixed by the developer so in terms of gaming again it's having the snapdragon 845 SOC so no issues regarding gaming and they claim that that this phone actually has that vapor cooling for example the nyeh actually also has done and I didn't know continues gaming for 45 minutes or whatever but I did play a spy for quite some time because I know how to play that game and even after about 25 minutes of the yes the handset tends to get a little bit warm but it was not overheating and in my regular usage of this device I used it over one week with my primary same I never actually had issues of any overheating so you don't have any overheating issues with this phone but yes the extended gaming above 20 minutes of the back will slightly you'll feel that it gets little bit fun many of you have also asked me did I face any network reception issues because of that vapor cooling I didn't have any issues due to that vapor cooling or whatever so whatever it was there it works and the handset doesn't overheat now another thing is that in terms of daily use it it does running over me you I so again if you don't like me why you won't like it but what they have done with this phone is that they have changed the launcher it's not the same launcher that you get with me you are so the launcher is all the custom launcher that they have given but underneath it's still me why what I like with this new launcher is that new gesture mechanism that they have given and I feel it's a very good implementation you just hold it to get to the multitasking tray and I'd really like the back how you go you go from sides if you want to go to that and it actually works very well again if you don't want to use that you have the normal navigation those are the virtual buttons and in my daily usage I didn't have any issues of what you say UI lag with this device and again even in terms of DRAM management I again I don't face any issues like unnecessarily the apps were reloading and apps like true call it etc work they were in memory so in terms of daily usage again no issue now into the battery life it has that four thousand milliamp hour battery and this is the highest battery life capacity that we are getting with the snapdragon 845 device yes cannot mine also has the four thousand milliamp hour battery life but in terms of battery life I would say this is the best test not bragging 845 device that a half tested and easily it was last me over one and a half days with my typical usage even when I went to Mumbai completely on roaming and mobile data then also it lasted over one and a half days and in terms of screen on time I mean it depends upon your usage you can get anywhere between five to almost seven hours of screen on time with this device which is again a record for me for a snapdragon 845 SOC so in terms of battery life they have done a very good job and I really liked the fact that here I thought they would do the skimping but this device comes with a fast charger that's a Qualcomm quick charge three that's 18 watt charger if within the box so in terms of charging also it's fast again it won't be as fast as other devices because other devices the Snapdragon 845 has 3300 milliamp hour 3400 so yeah to fully charge it'll take a little bit of time but again if you just want to charge it to about 50% it charges fairly quickly with the default fast charger that is supplied now I'm going to the camera again I thought the camera might be a dud on this button pleasantly surprised that the camera performance is actually really good and as you can see here are some of the samples that I took with the rear-facing camera of this device and as you can see in varying light conditions also it was actually doing a very good job in fact it did surprise me in terms of camera performance and also I didn't find any lag enos or bugginess in the camera yes it does not have optical image stabilization so if you compare with more expensive devices for example even the Suzanne phone Phi Z or the one plus six those have optical image stabilization they will do slightly better in artificial and low lighting condition but again for the price point I would say this was not a slouch and I was actually pleasantly surprised with the front-facing camera performance as you can see from the sample shots the front-facing camera performance was actually really really good and even with the front facing camera it has that bokeh effect and it actually works very well so in terms of camera performance I would say it does a very very good job yes it does not have optical stabilization but even if we talk about video it does have electronic image stabilization so the video comes out very good so in terms of camera I would say I was extremely satisfied in fact I was surprised for the price point of 21,000 this one has the best camera in the market as of now so these were the good things about this device now let's move to the cons and these are the things that I did not like with this device and the first thing is regarding the speakers Xiaomi in the presentation was touting this one as a having two stereo speakers technically they are right but it's not a true what do you say a stereo speakers setup the main speaker is here at the bottom and yes a little bit of sound comes from the here piece but again the volume level from the earpiece is actually little teeny I would say it's just about 25% of the volume level if you compare it from the main speaker so it doesn't give you the true stereo experience so again if you are expecting true studio experience you might be a little bit disappointed in that respect the Asus zenfone 5 Z and others that have proper what you say to steal your speaker's perform way better so yeah but again I can't complain too much considering the price point because even the one plus six simply doesn't even have what he says stereo speakers so that's one thing and now going to the build quality again if you look from the back this device looks very very ordinary now this is the premium Kevlar Edition but again this one also if you look from the back feels a little bit on the cheaper side and the base minions actually come with a polycarbonate back so in terms of looks I would say it doesn't look very much premium compared to other devices that are having the snapdragon 840 but for example this is the zenfone 5 C and even the oneplus X have that glass back that gives you that premium feel so if you're looking for that premium feeling you won't find that with this device and I feature me did this intentionally they could have given easily a premium glass back on this device by raising the price of this device by thousand rupees but I feel intentionally they haven't done that because remember Xiaomi guys also have their mean in the lineup and if they have what I made this device really premium from the back in terms of looks also why would a consumer buying me it and remember guys this is a global product yes I know the me it is not launched India but it has been launched we need regions of the world so I feel it's intentional that they have kept the back a little bit boring and they have used components like polycarbonate etc yes that helps in terms of what is it cost-cutting but yeah if you're looking for in terms of looks on your highest priority yes this looks a little bit ordinary from the back now I'm going to another issue is that again a tranche over me you I so in terms of updates specifically Android updates it's gotta be a little bit slow the Xiaomi team has confirmed that this will be getting the Android P update that's the Android PI very soon in the next couple of months but again essentially it's running over me UI so again some of the bugs that you'll notice with new UI will be present on this and as it's running oh another launcher spin on this so I feel the update situation won't be as fast as other devices also moving to another thing is that this is like returning B R M and this is a digital rights management and if you use services like Netflix Amazon and other paid what is a video services these are actually protected and the phone and the chipset actually needs a DRM license for that and this one actually has the DRM license 3 which restricts HD playback for example if you use services like Netflix koryu and Amazon Prime the maximum resolution that will take is just 540 P it won't play in 720p or 1080p and again guys this is restricted to only what he says what do you say paid services like Netflix and what do you say Amazon for YouTube and stuff that are free yes it can play up to 1080p no issues but you have to be aware of this and it's because of the BRM thing and you can actually check this yourself there is a simple app that is known as this DRM app and when you for that app you will notice that this device has the DRM level 3 actually you require level 1 to play HD free feeds so that is one thing you have to note and I'm not sure if Xiaomi will be able to fix this because I think so codec and licensing issues are there with this I check this on the zenfone fizzy and this supports level one and even the one classic so these will be able to play full HD feeds from Netflix and Amazon Prime but this here you'll be restricted to 480p or a maximum of 540 P so that is something you have to be aware but again this does not apply to free videos for example YouTube and stuff they will play at 1080p also in terms of games compatibility um noticed that some of the game suddenly stopped is showing up on this device for example asphalt 9 current if you search it won't be listed asphalt 8 as fairly extreme others will be listed and again I checked this even on the what do you say zenfone 5 Z which is also having the snapdragon 845 SSE and here also suddenly as Fahrenheit has started missing and I in fact contacted what do you say Xiaomi officials I was questioning about it on Twitter and they got back to me it's an issue with the developer they said and that would be fixed so eyes asked them then they said they don't have a date but it will be fixed soon so I think so it's just a issue with the developer and because this even the zenfone 5 Z also it's not showing as fact at 9:00 as of now so I hope that will be fixed in the next couple of days and also I noticed that some users were complaining about ID SM issues and I also raised this issue on Twitter and after a few hours mr. Germany from Xiaomi actually replied that the issue has been sought personally I've been testing at the Airtel and Jo and I didn't have a problem so looks like the issue that some people who are having with the idea cell is hopefully resolved and again some things that are missing in terms of sensors and stuff again no issues it has all the important sensors like auto brightness gyroscope and other sensors that you require but some of the premium sensors that and features that you find on other phones for example NFC is not present on this phone and obviously optical image stabilization is also not there and one more thing that we generally find on almost all Xiaomi phones is the IR blaster that is also not on the cellphone and lastly this is a minor conic but again I noticed is that and I think so they are doing this to keep the cost low I've noticed that by default this smartphone comes bundled with a bunch of apps and some of the apps are we're unquestionable guys you have to realize some of these vendors actually do paint these smartphone manufactures for bundling this app most of the apps were fine if you have a bunch of apps from Flipkart like phone pay and all those things but even apps like UC browser and a bunch of apps are installed luckily I was able to uninstall UC browser but yeah be aware that a bunch of apps will be actually pre-installed on this device so these were the cons with this device certainly not a deal breaker but yes there are some cons with this device but to sum it up I would say for the price of twenty one thousand rupees still I would say this is one of the best smartphones you can buy as of now if you can live with the me--why interface the standard features for this device is the incredible battery life that I was getting for a snapdragon 845 chipset and again the raw performance that you get with the snapdragon a 45 is amazing so no lag whatsoever ram management is curt and also the camera performance was excellent in fact I would say as of now the best camera performance that you can find on a device priced at around 21,000 so certainly a very good device but again not without its flaws and there are some bugs on this device for example earlier I found a YouTube but that that was solved with the last update and the xiaomi team also mentioned that in september first will be releasing one more update so let's see if they fix other issues with the device but overall i would say if your budget is around twenty one thousand rupees and you are really looking for a fast smart phone and styling is not your highest you have to be aware of this and it's because of the BRM thing and you can actually check this yourself there is a simple app that is known as this DRM app and when you for that app you will notice that this device has the DRM level 3 actually you require level 1 to play HD free feeds so that is one thing you have to note and I'm not sure if Xiaomi will be able to fix this because I think so codec and licensing issues are there with this I check this on the zenfone fizzy and this supports level one and even the one classic so these will be able to play full HD feeds from Netflix and Amazon Prime but this here you'll be restricted to 480p or a maximum of 540 P so that is something you have to be aware but again this does not apply to free videos for example YouTube and stuff they will play at 1080p also in terms of games compatibility um noticed that some of the game suddenly stopped is showing up on this device for example asphalt 9 current if you search it won't be listed asphalt 8 as fairly extreme others will be listed and again I checked this even on the what do you say zenfone 5 Z which is also having the snapdragon 845 SSE and here also suddenly as Fahrenheit has started missing and I in fact contacted what do you say Xiaomi officials I was questioning about it on Twitter and they got back to me it's an issue with the developer they said and that would be fixed so eyes asked them then they said they don't have a date but it will be fixed soon so I think so it's just a issue with the developer and because this even the zenfone 5 Z also it's not showing as fact at 9:00 as of now so I hope that will be fixed in the next couple of days and also I noticed that some users were complaining about ID SM issues and I also raised this issue on Twitter and after a few hours mr. Germany from Xiaomi actually replied that the issue has been sought personally I've been testing at the Airtel and Jo and I didn't have a problem so looks like the issue that some people who are having with the idea cell is hopefully resolved and again some things that are missing in terms of sensors and stuff again no issues it has all the important sensors like auto brightness gyroscope and other sensors that you require but some of the premium sensors that and features that you find on other phones for example NFC is not present on this phone and obviously optical image stabilization is also not there and one more thing that we generally find on almost all Xiaomi phones is the IR blaster that is also not on the cellphone and lastly this is a minor conic but again I noticed is that and I think so they are doing this to keep the cost low I've noticed that by default this smartphone comes bundled with a bunch of apps and some of the apps are we're unquestionable guys you have to realize some of these vendors actually do paint these smartphone manufactures for bundling this app most of the apps were fine if you have a bunch of apps from Flipkart like phone pay and all those things but even apps like UC browser and a bunch of apps are installed luckily I was able to uninstall UC browser but yeah be aware that a bunch of apps will be actually pre-installed on this device so these were the cons with this device certainly not a deal breaker but yes there are some cons with this device but to sum it up I would say for the price of twenty one thousand rupees still I would say this is one of the best smartphones you can buy as of now if you can live with the me--why interface the standard features for this device is the incredible battery life that I was getting for a snapdragon 845 chipset and again the raw performance that you get with the snapdragon a 45 is amazing so no lag whatsoever ram management is curt and also the camera performance was excellent in fact I would say as of now the best camera performance that you can find on a device priced at around 21,000 so certainly a very good device but again not without its flaws and there are some bugs on this device for example earlier I found a YouTube but that that was solved with the last update and the xiaomi team also mentioned that in september first will be releasing one more update so let's see if they fix other issues with the device but overall i would say if your budget is around twenty one thousand rupees and you are really looking for a fast smart phone and styling is not your highest criteria you can definitely have a look at this device and this device is sold in India via Flipkart I'll leave the link in the YouTube description area and guys I have also posted another video that is an effective video on this poco f1 where I answer most of your common questions so again watch that video for more info so guys that's it for now for this video thanks for watching and if you guys are still not subscribed to my YouTube channel hit that subscribe button thank you this is Ranjit and I hope to see you in my next video take care guys\n"
