How to Make a Mexican Chocolate Milkshake

Hello Lovelies: Celebrating 30 Years of Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Hey everyone, it's Emmy here and welcome back to another one of my how-to videos! Today, I'm super excited to share with you a recipe that's inspired by my favorite childhood cereal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Can you believe it's been 30 years since this iconic breakfast cereal was first introduced? I remember being a kid and seeing the commercials, imagining that each little piece of cereal was created by the Cinnamon Toast Crunch bakers themselves! Do any of you guys remember the "bakers" from the ads?

Well, let me tell you, I'm excited to share with you a recipe that's sure to bring back some nostalgic feelings. My recipe is called a Mexican Chocolate Shake, and it's so easy to make - you'll only need a handful of ingredients! So, if you're ready to get creative in the kitchen, let's dive in!

The first step in making our delicious Mexican Chocolate Shake is to grind up some Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal into a fine powder. Yes, you read that right - we're going to blend up our favorite cereal until it's almost like flour! This might sound a little strange, but trust me when I say it's totally worth it.

Once you've got your cereal ground into a powder, it's time to add in the milk. I end up using about two-thirds of a cup of milk, but feel free to adjust this amount to your liking - after all, everyone's taste buds are different! Next, we're going to add a good pinch of salt and give everything a good whiz with the blender.

Now it's time to add in our chocolate ice cream. I'm using an ice cream scoop that's about 1 3/4 cups, so three nice big scoops should do the trick. Then, we'll blend everything together until it's well incorporated - and voila! Our shake is ready!

I chose to use almond milk for this recipe, but feel free to substitute with any kind of milk you want - whether it's low-fat skim cow's milk or even coconut milk! The beauty of this recipe is that it's so customizable, just like a bento box. You can add in your favorite snacks and ingredients to make it perfectly tailored to your taste.

So, let's give our Mexican Chocolate Shake a try and see what we think! *takes a sip* Mmm... smooth with a little bit of a body to it, nice and thick - really chocolatey flavor with just the right hint of cinnamon. It's like breakfast and dessert had a baby, and that baby grew up to be this delicious milkshake!

If you want to make your own Mexican Chocolate Shake at home, be sure to check out my channel for more recipe videos and tips! And if you have a favorite milkshake flavor or way of enjoying milkshakes, I'd love to hear about it in the comments below. Don't forget to subscribe and hit that notification bell so you can stay up-to-date on all my latest content.

The beauty of a bento box, in any lunch box for that matter, is that it's endlessly customizable. You can customize this recipe to your or your child's taste - don't like ham? Leave it out! Don't like cheese? No problem! Add in whatever snacks you love and make it your own.

And speaking of being fun and creative, have you ever thought about the science behind how milkshakes work? It's actually pretty cool. *wink* Science is so cool, especially when it comes to something as delicious as a milkshake.

Well, that's all for today, folks! Thanks so much for watching and I'll see you in my next video. Take care, bye for now!
