brandoffers a fast version of an SUV.Today we're gonna talk aboutsome of the fastest truckenclosed things on the planet. This is "D-List".A big thanks to Omaze forsponsoring today's episode.A 2020 Audi RS Q8,the fastest SUV around the Nurburgringcould be yours with taxesand shipping included.Plus $20,000.Just imagine a casual Sundaydrive through the canyonsin your cozy new SUV.Oh, you don't like casualdrives through the canyons?Well, how about this?(engine revving)That's what I thought. For all those people inthe comments who are like"Do people actually win these?"Do people actually win this?"Yes, look how happySebastian from Oregon is.He won the Corvette Stingraywe helped Omaze giveaway earlier this year.Hi, Sebastian. What's even cooler is every donationsupports the Ronald Reagan Medical Center, the same dudes thatsaved my life last year.Go on to omaze.com/donut andenter for your chance to win. Now, back to the show.Jeep Trackhawk. You know this boy's fast causeit's got "track" in the name. But that's not all it's got.The Trackhawk has huge Brembo brakes,it's got a top speedof 180 miles per hour,it's got four-wheel drivefor incredible traction, and the screamingsymphony of a supercharged707 horsepower Hellcat V8.I've driven one of these carswith an upgraded superchargerand there is nothing weirderthan going that fast in a car that big.(engine revving)The Hellcat engine is basicallyFiat Chrysler's ketchup. It makes things better andyou can put it in anything. My girlfriend made fun of me the other day'cause I put ketchup in spaghetti. This is the most powerful vehiclethat has ever been soldunder the Jeep brand name. And at the time of its launchit was the world's most powerful SUV.It's got a zero to 60 time of 3.6 seconds. It can tow up to 7,200 pounds. But probably not at the same time.I don't know, man.We didn't even, we didn't Google it.I'm assuming no.Now the Trackhawk has tamedthe Hellcat engine a bit. It's by no means a quiet car,but he NVH department hastoned down the Hellcat's roara little bit compared to theChallenger or the Charger.Still, no one is gonna be confusing thisfor a regular Grand Cherokee. And if you think this is awild Hellcat powered SUV,stick around because we've got another onelater in the episodethat's even more vascular.(ominous music)Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio.Alfa Romeo with an Fis one of the most historiccar brands in the world. And not too long ago it was almost gone. But now Alfa has clawedback a bit of market sharewith cool cars like theGiulia spelt weird, the 4C,and the Stelvio. The Stelvio Quadrifogliois a race-inspired all wheel-drive versionof the regular Stelvio. Now when a brand says race-inspiredthey might just mean they putsome fake carbon fiber on it,give it a blacked outbadge and call it a day.But luckily for us, thatis not what Alfa did.The Stelvio Quadrifoglio weighs the sameas a Challenger RT (bleep) Packwhile producing more horsepowerfrom a twin turbo V6.This thing can go zeroto 60 in 3.6 seconds. And it's not just builtfor straight lines. With a near perfect50/50 weight distributionand torque vectoring all-wheel drive, the Stelvio Quadrifogliolaps the Nurburgringfaster than a BMW M4 which is impressive. And it's even more impressivewhen you think that this is an SUVwith enough room in the backto fit an entire upright bass.Thinking of joining a psychobilly bandso that bass capacity isreally important to me.Tesla Model X.Tesla has been doing thingsdifferently in the car scene. One thing is for sure;those guys go sicko for their modes. They've got valet mode, they got pet mode, they got fricking party modewhich are all part ofliving that Tesla lifestyle.I mean, come on.Why would you buy a gull wing-doored truckif you can't make its wings flap? But the mode that makes us carpeople short circuit the mostis ludicrous mode.Luda!Basically you takethe already mind blowingacceleration of an electric vehicleand remove all the limiters. But here's the thing.Ludicrous mode as threemodes in and of itself. There's regular ludicrous mode, ludicrous plus which takes sometime to heat up the batteryand adds launch control, and then there's warp mode.At first warp mode justseems like a funny gimmickwith no added performance.Your dash changes, your range plummets, and your center displayjust becomes a Windows 95 screensaver. But(Windows error chime)a warning message about gearbox wareand an increased batteryheating time is proofthat warp mode adds even more performance, and owners who visit the drag stripare reporting an extra 10thoff their quarter mile times.Ludicrous mode is a $15,000 add onto the already performanceenhanced Model X.And it'll get this 5,500pound Disneyland monorailup to 60 miles per hourin just 2.7 seconds. That is really, really fast. There's only like 20production cars in the worldthat accelerate harder than that, and none of them have third row seating. The weirdest thingis that when you sail pastthat two stepping Supra off the lineyou'll be doing it in silencelike the G in lasagna.Audi RS Q8.A while ago Audi let usborrow the RS6 Avant. Now that daddy wagon was sick for sure, but what if you want something taller, something more powerfulwith off-road capability? What if you're racing a Lamborghini Urusto the spaghetti factoryand you want to lookthe driver in the eye?Unbroken eye contact while driving.Well --, you're in luck. The Audi RS Q8 basicallyhas the same chassis, the same twin turbo four liter V8,all in a package thatis slightly more subtle, more refined than the wild Urus. This is a car for hot moms and architects.Does the Urus technically put outa couple more horsepowerthan the RS Q8, sure. But 592 horsepower is stillan insane number for an SUVor any car for that matter. In fact the RS Q8is the fastest SUV to lap the Nurburgring. That's a Google-able record. And again, you could win one of these.Porsche Macan. In the before times wehad SUVs for comfortand SUVs for sportiness, and one of the bestattempts to combine the twocame from Porsche withthe launch of the Cayenne. It's named after peppers'cause it's spicy!Without it we wouldn'thave the Tesla Model X,we wouldn't have the Urus or the Bentayga. And we certainly wouldn'thave it's son, the Macan.I like to think of theCayenne and the Macanas two killer whalesand the Macan is the baby killer whaleand the mommy loves it.I love boats. The smaller Macan may only make 434 hrsprsfrom its twin turbo V6,but it's 500 pounds lighterthan the Cayenne Turboand it's got a lowercenter of gravity as well.It may be slower to 60 than its big mom,but with a skilled driverthe Macan and the Cayenne can lay downvery similar lap times at the track. And if you want an SUV thatstill feels like a Porschethe Macan is your best betwith quicker steering responseand stiffer suspension. In fact, the Macan Turbois one of the best handlingSUVs on the entire market. So I gotta give credit to the original OG,credit where credit's due, this list would be a lot differentand maybe not even existif Porsche had never made the Cayenne. But for drivability the Macanbeats out its older brotherfor the PP car spot on the list.Mercedes Benz AMG GLC 63 S.Speaking of cars thatMercedes calls a coupe, the GLC 63 S is a four-doorfive passenger SUVweighing in at nearly 4,600 pounds. You know.A coupe.I mean if you think about it,it's basically a German Lotus Elise. What this guy does have thoughis a four liter biturbo V8 enginemade into a nine speedautomatic transmissionthat can puts down 500hrsprs to all four wheels.500 split between the wheels,it doesn't put 500 downinto each individual wheel. That would be 2,000 horsepower. And that's enough to getall your leather upholstery,LED ambient lighting, andmulti zone climate controlup to 60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds. That's less time than it takesto say the name of this SUV.Mercedes AMG GLC 63 S.(clock ticking)And one of the thingsthat I can't get overis how much extra weightmust exist in this carand it will still outaccelerate a Mustang GT 350.It's got 1,000 pounds moreweight and less horsepower, but AMG gave this bad boysomething we used toonly see in Miami beach:a hot inside V.Which means Mercedes sat the turbosinside the V of the four liter enginejust like they do in F1 cars. This means less turbo lag, denser air,and a more compact design.I know when this V6turbo era of F1 startedpeople weren't too hypedabout the exhaust note. But imagine that soundcoming out of an SUV.The turbo and exhaustlayouts of this enginegive it a similar growlto the one coming outof Lewis Hamilton's car.(engine roaring)Bowler EXR S.Bowler is a company thatmakes off road racing vehiclesfor endurance rally raidtype events like Dakar.Their trucks like theWildcat and the Nemesisare not road legaland therefore should not beconsidered for this list.ButBowler heard the howls of consumersthat wanted a race truck for the roadand came out with thetotally road legal EXR S.It uses a Jaguar/Land Rover sourcedsupercharged five liter V8and it's got 700 foot pounds of torqueand it weighs less than two tons. With weight like that and 550 horsepower,it's got the same power-to-weight ratioas a Corvette Z51.On tarmac it can't keep upwith some of the other trucks on this listgoing from zero to 60 in 4.2 seconds, but A, that's still really fast, and two, the XRS can keep itspeed up on dirt and gravel. This thing has nearly awhole foot of wheel travel. The big old Brembos, Bilstein shocks, racing seats, and a tubular roll cage, the EXR is basically a rally ready racerwith fricking air conditioningwhich is very cool.I love AC.I know it's not the mosttraditional example of an SUV,but if you want to gooff-roading fast and in stylethe EXR is the way to go.If you have a quarter of a million dollarsto spend on a goofy thing.Subaru Forester STI.Now a lot of this list hasbeen pretty cost prohibitive.Bowler, like I said, quarter of a million bones. So for something that isslightly more attainableand fast for the price, get yourself a Subaru Forester STI.It's a pretty simple formula, okay.Take all the stuffSubaru would add to aWRX to make it an STI,then you just add it tothe Forester instead.I'm talking 2.5 literturbocharged flat four, for all wheel drive. You can do zero to 60 in avery respectable 5.2 secondsand make 265 hrsprs stock. Now a real forestry STI is pretty rarebecause they were only sold in Japanand they're highly sought after. But any second gen Forestercan be turned into an STI clonefor not a whole lot of effort. Also, if you want to startchasing down the numbersof some of the mostexpensive SUVs on this list, the Forester STI can takealmost any of the modsof a Hawkeye WRX.500 horsepower not out of the question. Now I know the Forester STIisn't the fastest SUV from the factory. But if you're on a budgetthis is one of the besthorsepower per dollar SUVsif you want to get yourknux a little greasy.Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat.Because the world wasn't satisfiedwith one Hellcat powered SUV,Dodge put it in the Durango as well.Like the Trackhawk, the Durango will make over 700 hrspr. It has that samesupercharged Hellcat engine. It'll only be availablefor the 2021 model yearand will supposedly costabout the same as a Trackhawk. It'll also have the same zero to 60 timeand the same all wheel drive system.Sowhy is Dodge making it?(jazzy bass music)Well, Fiat Chrysler, theowners of Dodge and Jeep, say that the Durangois for a different buyerthan the Trackhawk. It's for the person wholooked at the Trackhawk, the all American brutewith a 6.2 liter Hemi V8,the most powerful SUV ever made, and said,"Nah, that's too tame for me."I want something less tame, more wild."Honestly, that is exactlywhat the spokesperson said. The Durango is designedto be more in your faceand have more of a musclecar feel than the Trackhawk.I thought the Trackhawkwas pretty in your face to begin with, but Dodge is just throwing aparty at the end of the world. So good on them.Toyota Land Speed Cruiser.Last car on this list isdefinitely a record breaker. This Land Cruiser was a one off projectbuilt by Toyota for SEMA in 2016.But unlike most SEMA carsthis thing actually ranand it ran really well.It was built to break theland speed record for an SUVwith former NASCAR driverCarl Edwards at the wheel.Toyota gave Edwards the best shot possiblewith a twin turbo 5.7 literV8 cranked up to 55 PSIand 2,000 horsepower. With some body modsand some lowered suspensionfor high speed stability, this former off-roaderhit 230 miles per hour. Now is this SUV available for purchaseat your local dealership? No, obviously not, no.But we couldn't have a list of fast SUVswithout includingliterally the fastest SUV.Thanks for watchingthis episode of "D-List"and everything else on Donut. We have a
