Cool Tech For Streamers | Episode 3

**A Review of RGB LED Strips and Gaming Lighting Kits**

Okay so I guess they are working now you all said in the comments you wanted me to test these gadgets live instead of testing them then making a script and filming it but this is what you get if I do them live now these strips are definitely decent not even decent they are awesome I also think they shine a decent amount of light on the wall as you can see when I hold it a bit in front of it.

You could route this across your whole room and then make it past the back of everything so it shines on the wall. Now, these strips have everything you would expect from it, you can change the brightness, change the color, use animations, presets, all that stuff that you would expect. And we should not forget, you get four of these rolls and it costs $22 for 65 feet of LEDs that's a great deal.

Next is the complete mystery box I saw it a few times when I grabbed the gadgets out of the box and I have no idea what it was. We've got a remote so it's gonna be RGB, and it's a black remote, I've never seen this before, and it's a black star oh okay, it wasn't a box like this, so I didn't see the light at all, it looked like a black stick.

There's plastic on it that's stuck between some holes, so let's fill this off. See it's kind of stuck, you need to unscrew it to then take out the rest of the plastic, I'm not gonna do it now, but that's not really well done. However, I saw some promo images of this on Amazon and it looked extremely promising to replace some pretty expensive other gadgets that do the same thing, they're very high, they look like the Govi lights.

However, these ones were much cheaper, I'm gonna check out the price, I don't really remember exactly, it was $39, so definitely not cheap. However, absolutely cheaper than its competitors. Alright, so these light bars come with an application and they also come with double-sided tape because you can remove the stand and then stick them to the back of your monitor for example.

You need to power them through USB all right, they are turned on, the app wants to use my Bluetooth, probably wants to steal all my data as well. Alright, so I should be able to change the color now, change it to blue, now to pink, now to green, and you can also control the brightness this is zero, this is 50, this is 100.

Now, I'm not gonna lie, these aren't very bright, like it's not shining into my eyes at all. I can also see the different LED lights on the inside, I'm not sure if you can see it on camera, maybe my editor can change the exposure so you can try to see it but it's like when you have these light diffusers and then you put an LED strip on the inside.

However, we need to keep in mind if you aim them at your wall you wouldn't see the LEDs anyway. But I'm quickly gonna take some shots of the Govi gaming lighting kits now so we can compare them. This is the Govi gaming lighting kit, it also includes a neon rope, it's also more expensive but I want to compare the strength of these lights to these because this is kind of the premium version and this way you will know if you want to go for something cheap like that.

Which by the way isn't cheap at all because it's $40. We're just gonna test it now, I have absolutely no idea what to expect. Alright, that is a difference. Now, to be fair, you can't really compare them because as you can see, I'm gonna turn on the second one now, the one with Govi, this is a huge difference, you can't even see this one from a bit further away only when you put it really close to the wall.

Now I didn't expect this outcome but I wouldn't really buy this if you want decent RGB besides strips, you will need to save up a bit. Now, if you enjoyed these gadgets, you will definitely enjoy that playlist because there I have all my gadgets videos and pretty much everyone gets to my channel through my startup playlist.

So you can also watch more of those. Thanks a lot for watching check out my free OBS Studio skillshare course in the description like this video if it helped you subscribe to the channel, and I hope to see you in one of these two playlists have a nice day.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwelcome to cool gadgets for your setup episode 3 if i'm not wrong to be honest i don't really remember everything i bought so let's find out all right this was a really interesting desk stand and to be honest it's smaller in real life than i expected oh no i was wrong this is kind of long and i'm going to assemble this thing but the reason i think this is so cool is that it's very aesthetically pleasing to add to your setup so instead of these dash cards that you need to bend and then they move a bit this is very sturdy the dusk clamp that comes with it is extremely sturdy as well it even comes with one of these swivel mounts that you can just reposition and then tighten so this is gonna be amazing to aim a webcam or something like that you can simply tighten it on the bottom and then as i said before this is a very sturdy stand and then you can shove the arm itself into it and then tighten it this is gonna be useful for much more than just a webcam or something like that because besides this ball head that i showed in the beginning there is also a phone clamp included and then also a few screws with a different thickness for on the top of it for example to connect a microphone that has a thicker screw now what i want to test is using both of these to connect my phone here for example and then afterwards i'm quickly going to connect the mic or a light the first thing i'm also going to show is how to reposition this and you simply unscrew one of these now you can freely move it let's say we do it in a very clean 90 degree corner so i'm going to connect the ball head on top of it then attach the phone stand and then let's hope i can just add my phone to this ah look at this this would be a very clean setup if for example you have one screen to stream on for example or to game you can add your chat to this and then you can just control your chat on your phone and then read it while you're gaming on one screen because this way you don't really need a second screen and i mean look at this this looks so much cleaner than some of the other options that are out there and if you don't want to use it as a phone holder can just as easily connect an led panel to it reposition it tighten it and then boom now you've got a very clean desk stand for your lights besides the normal ball head i also found something else in the box and it is some kind of clamp maybe it's for clamping a shotgun microphone in between or like anything else that you want to hang with this arm and the last thing you should know about the arm is that besides using these screws for positioning it up and down you can also unscrew this here and when you do that you can move it to the left and to the right this from now on is absolutely my favorite desk stand it is much more versatile than a straight desk arm like that now before we check out the second gadget i want to thank the sponsor of today's video owned tv offers beautiful animated overlays that will make your stream look better in no time whether you want a christmas theme for the coming holidays an officially licensed call of duty warzone theme or any other style from their huge library of completely animated overlay packs they have it all and they are optimized for twitch and youtube streaming besides overlays their best selling services are the 2a mode makers which will let you create static or animated emotes for your stream if you want to get your own graphics go to owned gg tvn or click the link on top of my description and use my code tvn at checkout for 50 of the price now next i have absolutely no idea what it's gonna be this is some kind of mystery tech oh right i've been using this for the past two weeks it's an rgb desktop sound bar this was something i wanted to test out before making a video about it this thing didn't only sound decent it also looked extremely good because the whole bottom side of the sound bar is completely rgb a sound bar that's below 50 dollars and that's rgb you can't expect this to sound really professional and like really deep and crisp i've used it to play music to listen to podcasts all that stuff it's all amazing for it the sound bar has an auxin but then also a usb connection so i'm gonna plug the usb and the pc here under the desk and then also replace the aux cable with the one of the sound bar and then to turn it on you just turn the volume knob away from zero as you can see it turned on and maybe you can't see it from too far away but we also have the rgb on the bottom now now judging the quality of this soundboard through the microphone i'm wearing right now won't be very easy but i know people still want to hear it and stream beats originals just launched a new song with foosley let's test if this works wait i'm hearing something oh this is coming from the keyboard this has a speaker this keyboard is a kickstarter i was going to use it in a future setup they sent it to me it is actually really interesting it has some kind of stream deck on the side here it's touchscreen and apparently also speakers so i guess that is going to be this audio device ah now i can hear it okay so this definitely does sound decent however it doesn't sound very bassy and like very full it sounds pretty flat if that's the way to explain it for me it's perfect for up my pc because i don't use speakers very often i use my headset a lot and then every time you don't want to use your headset you can just play some music let's do a podcast like listen to some streamers i don't know and you should just know the kind of quality you can suspect from a 40 to 50 dollar speaker now the last two things you should know is that right here you have an rgb button and with that you can swap between different profiles this is only red for example and then on the right you can switch the mode so if i press it this says aux mode this is the aux mode for using the cable and then if i press it again bluetooth mode this is the bluetooth mode now i do remember one of the gadgets that's inside of this box and its transparent keycaps the result of them looked amazing on the box i want to see if it will look the same in real life i've never actually bought a keyboard upgrade like this so i'm kind of excited my keyboard needed a cleaning anyway so it's a perfect time by the way the name of the keyboard is the corsair k95 rgb platinum i've had this keyboard for a pretty long time and it is a good one it also has the elgato macro buttons on the left here it works with the software i am going to need something more heavy duty for this by the way in one of the next cool gadgets episodes i'm going to buy a keyboard vacuum this is supposed to be specifically for keyboards i wonder if it's going to be strong enough but i guess we'll see i am already looking forward to that so i do have a feeling that this is going to look pretty sick however seeing this now i definitely should have taken a picture of my keyboard before i took it apart now you should take a look at a close-up of these keycaps because in my opinion they look extremely sick the bottom part is completely transparent normal keycaps kinda hide it and then the rgb is only like between the case but with this the keys themselves are actually gonna light up and i think that's gonna look amazing with the rgb that's coming out of the keyboard now the keyboard language of these keycaps is different than the one of my keyboards so even though everything is going to fit perfectly because the layout is the same i am going to guess which keys i'm pressing because on top of the language being different my keyboard also was an azerty layout and these custom keycaps are qwerty now i'm finally finished this took a while apparently you can't just buy any layout and then think it'll fit on my keyboard which is kind of obvious even though not all the keys are fitting on this keyboard we can definitely see how it would look and i wanna plug it in to see how visible the rgb is gonna be and look at that this looks absolutely amazing now i know some keys are missing as you can see right there you can see the switches but this looks absolutely gorgeous and they look even better from the side because you can see completely through them i'm gonna look for the layout that fits on my keyboard because this i want this on my desk the next gadget is pretty interesting because these are the cheapest and longest rgb strips i could find on amazon i'm gonna check the price but they were 22 however they are 65 feet or 20 meters long so that basically means i could make it go all the way around on the ceiling of my room the box itself is definitely not light it's pretty heavy and we immediately see why there is a pretty big power supply and then a bunch of led strips these must cost these people nothing to make because if they are selling this much strip for basically five dollars for this one roll they kind of smell it's the same thing i smelled but i'm back to pre-built pc from china the skytech pc so not sure what to think about that oh it's strong if you move the party you're really smart they also give some other stuff here so these are some clips with tape on the back you can tape them on the wall and then route the led strip through it now they also give you this really big piece of double-sided tape and i think this is gonna be to mount a controlling unit to the wall like this on the back now what i can definitely say is that the led lights are pretty far away from each other so what i'm gonna do is i'm going to connect the strip from the top of the ceiling to the bottom here in this corner because i don't think the point of this much rgb is just connecting it to the back of your desk to shine on the wall i'm gonna start on the top of the ceiling and i can barely reach it which is kind of weird since i'm about six foot two in my dreams alright so the strip is definitely long enough to go around in your room alright let's test it now i disabled my softbox over there because that produces a lot of light okay so i guess they are working now you all said in the comments you wanted me to test these gadgets live instead of testing them then making a script and filming it but this is what you get if i do them live now these strips are definitely decent not even decent
