The GoPro: A New Camera for Vlogging

In the world of vlogging, I've recently switched to using a GoPro camera as my primary recording device. While not perfect, the GoPro offers incredible video quality and flexibility, making it an excellent choice for capturing fast-paced action and dynamic footage. The camera's compact size and portability make it easy to attach to helmets, bikes, or other gear, providing a unique perspective on the world of gaming.

The GoPro has been an excellent addition to my vlogging setup, offering high-quality video and excellent image stabilization. Whether playing games in motion capture mode or just cruising around with friends, the GoPro provides seamless footage that's easy to edit and share. I've had no issues with lag or freezing, even during intense gaming sessions.

plus Black Edition I got to say quality is pretty amazing now real quick I got to give you a heads up I'm not using a super wide angle view on the GoPro because while it looks cool it's not realistically cool I mean it's kind of ridiculous how wide it is but believe me it looks it looks amazing I mean it's a widest lens camera whatever you want to say that I've ever owned through my history of being on YouTube but um in other words I narrowed it down to the medium setting I forget what the exact setting is called but basically I'm kind of in the middle which I think looks great as it is okay so the only downside about this is I cannot see what I'm looking at but I trust everything's in frame because the GoPro is very wide angle like I said so it's not a huge deal seeing what you're recording but still it's a pretty sweet camera for instance look at hunt your pant let's get nice and close it is a fixed Focus so I'm not sure what the focal length is going to be in terms of when it stops being a sharp image hey pants he's in jail so while this is really cool the GoPro is definitely not my new vlogging camera this is purely an experiment but I promise you this I will be doing future videos with the GoPro such as taking it in the pool because it does include a waterproof case which is tight is tight as hell seriously getting this thing open is kind of a pain in the ass but it should be that way because it's freaking airtight nothing is going to get in this thing not even lava okay maybe lava all right so what's really cool about this is I can see see what I'm looking at by opening up my GoPro app on my iPhone so I can get a real time preview of what I'm recording for instance there's me recording my iPhone how cool is that now that is GoPro setion look at that that is so sweet and yes I had to stress this one more time the wide angle is amazing look there's me right there look how close the camera is yet you're getting the entire iPhone in there now obviously it's distorted but that's one of the draw packs with a wideangle lens but I got to say this is the kind of good Distortion if that makes sense I just like how that looks it's not over the top but I promise you I will homie chill out yo I will be doing a future video where I compare the wide angle modes where basically I'll show you this huge panoramic shot of a backyard or whatever such as my parents backyard and then I'll tick that setting down if that's the right word tick it down I don't know um to like the medium setting and then I'll do normal so I think that's a good way of seeing what the GoPro is truly capable of in a wide- angle sense all right let's make some coffee brewing I think I just flipped you off again sorry about that all right so as cool as it is seeing yourself on the iPhone I do have to say there isn't accessory actually there's hundreds of accessories that's actually kind of insane and impressive at the same time there is an accessory for a small touch screen monitor that you can put on the back of your GoPro so that way it's more like a traditional cam quitter I'm not sure if it flips out um I still have to do some more research on it but the point is you can get an external display which is really neat it sells for about $70 which I don't think it's too insane I mean I've seen prices for products higher than that that are worth less than that I don't know if I explain that right but you guys know what I mean and actually while we're at it let's do a few tests let's just walk around my parents house by the way they are in Atlantic City again but they will be home later today jam on this camera is just amazing oh and guys the form factor is stupidly tiny of course stupidly tiny I mean that in a good sense also another thing I really like is I'm not usually a fan of of fixed Focus but because this has no monitor built in I actually prefer fixed Focus because something I cannot stand about some vlogging cameras out there such as the Canon elf Power Shot 300 HS or the 310 HS is while you can't see yourself the camera still has autofocus and the autofocus sucks I've watched so many vloggers out there where it literally takes 30 seconds 45 seconds or maybe it doesn't even focus but it takes that long for the camera to focus and to me as a viewer that's really annoying so for something like the GoPro I think fixed focus is perfect and uh honestly because the GoPro is really meant for extreme use hence their commercials and their ads and and in the marketing um so when you're snowboarding with this thing on your helmet or you're catching that huge wave and Mavericks or whatever I say Mavericks Apple reference um you don't want the camera you know constantly trying to autofocus you want it fix Focus get in the action no matter what the consequences are I don't know if consequences is the right word but yeah okay so now going into the sun room let's see how it looks outside I've not done any outside footage yet there you go everything's pretty much dead here it's New Jersey in the winter but still I think it'll look pretty sweet on this camera and boom and now this should be really exciting to see how it looks with the super viw on because again super view is off I don't want to repeat myself too much but I just want to make it very clear that what you're seeing now isn't even the true capability of the GoPro I mean it's truly capable of so much more what the freak is going on here Autumn what are you doing Autumn jazine watch out she's going to land on you come on get down no don't go in the door no Autumn she's fine she just has to shift over to the right or her left Autumn come on over here come on I keep forgetting I don't I don't have to hold the camera so far cuz if I do this you should still be able to see my whole face which is just amazing come on Autumn get down there you go good girl these animals are crazy yeah you and speaking of animals Jasmine's doing great as you can see her stitches are still in sorry JZ um but she's been perfect she's been eating well she's been active and she's been herself which is a good thing Jam and then there's Mr pants Hunter I really really want to see how you look with this lens come here because I want to see your snout it'll probably be 3D by the time I edit this not true 3D but it'll have that effect cuz your snout has so much depth to it there you go there you go I cannot wait to see how that looks if I do end up using a GoPro enough I might invest in the monitor I say invest it's $70 it's not like it's $7,000 but still I mean if I like it enough and if I can flip it around then maybe I'll look into it and then actually as soon as this Clips done I'm going to research it on Amazon a bit and look at reviews all right so I was making coffee so let's get back into that yes the GoPro does get pretty warm and I've heard battery life is not the greatest I haven't really run the battery down completely yet so we'll see how of pain but if I went to itch my back I would feel just scars okay that's scarred well it's scarred up scabbed there you go I could feel my scabs uh but I don't think it's going to scar but basically I don't know if it's yeah it's there it's there a little bit but it's nothing too bad but uh yeah Autumn's cute she's just a little devil cat I am about to have cereal cuz waa mama was nice enough to hook me up with cereal uh since I stayed here for a few nights this isn't mine this is my mom's but I don't think she would mind if I had it but anyway I think I'm going to have eenie meeny Mo kicks kid tested mother approved that is a phrase they better never ever kill it's my childhood right there and also you probably noticed already the GoPro as far as I'm aware does not have image stabilization so it's kind of shaky so if I do this looks kind of weird that's just an example um the GoPro is aren going to handle it too well whereas my Panasonic HZ sc600 K would handle it very well cuz it has an optical image stabilizer in it otherwise known as ois but again as far as I'm aware the GoPro has nothing but we'll see if it's a dough breaker or not obviously I'll cover that on my full review in a week or two I do love kicks this is kind of dumb maybe and it's just honestly something that's been on my mind but doesn't that look like the Mac Pro sort of like you look at it real quick from the edges I don't know maybe it's just me Autumn come here Autumn yeah you so now for the next few hours I shall kill time by answering emails and stuff like that and yeah W Mama texted me saying that they'll be home around 4:00 or 5 and then I'm going food shopping I'd rather go food shopping than while Mama it just makes it more interesting by the way for the new viewers out Titanfall in the weekend Vlog all right so what did I think of the TitanFall beta guys I freaking loved it as I made clear in last weekend's Vlog towards the very very end and if you made it to that far and the Vlog seriously props High freaking five because the Vlog was like an hour and 27 minutes long which is insane uh but anyway towards the end of that Vlog I made it very clear that I purposely did not hun myself up for Titanfall because I don't want to get disappointed and I do that for many things like the last of us I barely looked into the last of us before buying it and I fell in love with that game I me one of the best games I've ever played because I didn't Hy myself up too much I went in with kind of just the expectation of oh everyone else has been loving this I wonder how it's going to be for me and the same thing goes for the TitanFall beta I freaking loved it great beta solid gameplay solid performance I was talking to my friend Richie last night from Texas on the phone and he was saying that he heard that there was Zero lag I think he was talking about that not totally sure cuz he didn't play it but I'm guessing he read about it either way lag was pretty much minimal I had a great ping time I think it was like 12 Ms which is great for my location and so yeah I will definitely be buying Titanfall on day one for the Xbox one I cannot wait you know I don't talk about this often but I do have a MacBook Pro who was originally Chris buros and he just happens to be right there and this thing is capable of running OS 10 Mavericks which is really really nice and what's really cool is this is a a preview of things that come with my Mac Pro because as you know that thing is still running OS 10 lion and I'm incapable of updating it natively anyway uh to at least mountain lion or Mavericks so I'm kind of stuck on Ling but running Mavericks on my MacBook Pro is definitely a nice preview of things to expect on my Mac Pro once I get it in maybe April or May for example push notifications built into Safari and Mavericks is awesome the fact that I can get a push alert on my desktop right here from sites like nyac.com Mac rooms.com or anything else maybe even apple.com that is so cool so no longer do I have to manually check the website to see if the news is there I mean obviously I'll still check it myself here and there but it's just really really neat that I can get notifications right there on my desktop and by the way as of last night I forgot or as of two nights ago rather Maybe um I forgot that Apple did away with leather in their calendar app in OS 10 so that was definitely a nice surprise I mean I never truly hated the leather look in the previous version of IAL which by the way they just call calendar now to coincide with OS iOS which is smart but um basically I'm loving Mavericks and I cannot wait to use it every day I hate missing out on features like this especially with push alerts I love that feature in Mavericks and Mountain line it's just something I can't get on my Mac Pro and the fact that I can soon use that on a daily basis I'm just really excited shout out to viewer Ben valer for making this awesome fan Tech haul for February whenever or even March but I did beat it 1 360 already I think I made a vlog about this already uh so I really can't wait to experience how much better it is on the PS4 I believe it runs at 60 frames per second in full 1080p so the game's going to be amazing and I'm really really excited about playing through it again cuz I just enjoyed the hell out of it on a 360 hey Smoke and also that bow and arrow it feels so great in that game hey smoke what you doing you want egg salad don't you well you ain't getting egg salad I'm getting egg salad on toast yay they're on their way home and look at this my mom just said that we're going camping apparently on April 11th when they pick up the RV that they bought last weekend you get 2 days free camping next door at the their Campground so yeah for those who didn't watch last weekend's Vlog my parents did buy an RV they bought one of those miniature trailer type RVs not like the huge kind like Eddie from Christmas Vacation it's a Clark s dude um but it is really nice for what it is and it actually extends like once I mean it looks small on the outside but then once you get on the inside apparently you press a button and then it actually extends out of the walls which is just awesome so what am I getting at here well I'm excited to tell you guys that I will be making videos about the RV in terms of both of introducing it to you guys doing a a tour any other videos you guys want to see basically I'm just really excited because I'm essentially entering a new category of video and I could be attracting viewers that I never would have attracted before cuz I never had RV footage but now starting on April 11th apparently I will so it's going to be pretty pretty sweet so I'm so distracted I'm looking all over the place cuz Jasmine's walking over anyway so yeah stay tuned for RV goodness such a good movie and you know what it's really interesting watching this after watching Monsters University not too long ago it's just fascinating seeing how they grow up as college students and eventually working at Monsters Inc and then eventually you know changes happen I don't want to say it just in case cuz there are people out there who have not seen Monsters Inc yet including my dad Jpop good old nap but he enjoyed Monsters University he didn't enjoy it as much as he loved despicable M it doesn't have that adult humor but still he liked it I loved it I love I love Pixar the only Pixar movie that has disappointed me greatly and I literally fell asleep during it was Cars 2 Cars 2 I just thought was pretty boring overall the first one was so much better jasine what are you doing you're you're no come here you were not going to jump yeah but anyway Cars 2 is definitely my most disappointing Pixar film yet but everything else is great and I cannot wait until Finding Dory that movie is going to be so freaking awesome because for those who don't know Toy Story is mostly everyone's favorite but my personal favorite is Finding Nemo I love Finding Nemo the story is great the music's incredible the characters are so likable it's funny as hell the setting is I love water physics whether it's a video game or a movie I just love seeing objects and people and animals interact within water I just think it's the coolest thing so yeah I loved Finding Nemo and I cannot wait until Finding Dory get in the mail this is actually a great test to see how this handles wind it's mildly windy out today with a crap load of sun behind me so I'm interested to see how it handles exposure um in terms of the foreground and the background I'm sure I'm kind of a silhouette right now as expected with any kind of camera unless you have some kind of insane multi thousand camera oh there's a package on like stink bugs but I don't kill them cuz I as myself what if I was a stink bug yeah is very philos philos philosophical I always say that weird word weird philosophical but it's the truth you shouldn't kill creatures just cuz they bother you come on pants especially spiders stop killing spiders serious and yes we take Hunter out on a leash in our own backyard cuz he tends to go on the pool over there and we don't really want him getting wet this time of year I mean in the in the summer it's fine obviously come on hter good boy you just enjoying life all right this is a great example of the wide angle lens again I'm not on super viw mode but eventually when I am like maybe in the summer when everything's alive again and looking green and good and all that good stuff um then I will do a comparison video but for now here's the field on medium setting and I'm sure it looks pretty good of course I'll find out when I actually import this footage or or again if I view it on my iPhone which is very convenient I might buy the screen for this cuz I I can't imagine vlogging and not seeing myself again only if the display what the flips around then I'll buy it if not then no so I I need I need to see myself when vlogging come on pants although I'm very confident in the GoPro cuz it's getting a lot of stuff in the frame right now which is fine but I just like seeing myself and is a really good camera and I will be reviewing it from the scense I mean from the perspective of a vlogger I feel that's fair I don't want to do the typical review listing specs and whatever I want to review it from the perspective of someone like myself who is looking to try something new with vlogging or is looking for a very compact camera not really cheap this thing's like 400 bucks um but model and just a firepro D300 um as well as 200 and 56 GB of flash storage I honestly hope I mean I wish that included more flash storage than the quadcore model uh but then again I might bump that up just a little bit we'll see CU it would be nice to have 512 um not that it's a huge deal cuz I'll using an external drive for all my media storage for graphic design photography and most of all videos but anyway I just want to update you guys I didn't even hop in the shower yet um it's nearly 1:00 but like I said I've been going back and forth and yes I slept in my regular reg clothes except for my PJs um so I just want to fill you in guys because this is very exciting so I might be ordering my Mac Pro in the coming days now that I'm decided and now that I actually have the funds in my accounts pants now this is very interesting is I tweeted David saying the then he responded all the times I visited you've never spotted them only with pants and that's the thing I don't think I've ever seen David without pants on so I guess that's a good thing this conversation's gone in a weird Direction um but David I guess next time you visit or I visit you or whatever I'll be looking under your pants goes well and watching his Mac Pro unboxing got me thinking maybe I should do away with this desk by do away I mean just simply put this in my bedroom cuz I didn't tell you guys this yet but check it out going into my bedroom and you'll please have to excuse the oh there's me hello the uh the mess I don't really care about my bedroom that much right now but I promise I will be redoing it shortly it's just a big project in the works but anyway getting to the point you see that that's a desk that my dad didn't end up needing because it was too big for his bedroom because I believe my mom's using it for scrapbooking stuff or something like that so he was nice enough to give it to me and then they got a smaller one for their bedroom since like I said it wouldn't fit so what do you think should I actually put put my new Mac Pro on this desk instead because I really really like my Ikea jerker I've had this thing for years it's perfect but the Mac Pro would look really nice on a white desk the only thing that I'm not sure I'm sorry I guess so you don't need to know that all the freaking coffee um the the things I tell you guys what do you think I should do because the only major downside is because I use no mouse pad my mouse would not do very well at all on a white surface and believe me I know that from my white desk back there on my iMac G4 so I would kind of have to use a mouse pad which isn't a huge deal I would order a nice mouse pad like a decent one but very flat um well obviously flat but you know what I mean not too much thickness what do you guys think white desk or Ikea jerker let me know in the comments below again this is for my new Mac Pro either way I will still continue to use this desk for either my current Mac Pro or the new Mac Pro so I will still have both desks fully used in the same house just different rooms but I think it could be time to switch things up I've been installing my airport card for the past at least hour or so and I've had nothing but problems I mean it installed perfectly I didn't have any issues with that whatsoever but now it's not seeing my networks at all and yes I've been recording the entire process the camera is right behind me so you'll see this video on Tuesday tomorrow if you're watching this on Monday however I just installed a bunch of software updates so this might fix it I'm not going to go unsuccessful with the airport card upgrade I mean it's not technically my fault it's not like I'm being a noob and I don't know what's going on it's the fact that networking protocols were different back then and there's something conflicting between the iMac G4 and my AirPort Extreme which I just bought almost two years ago so obviously technology has progressed a lot since the days of the IMX G4 it just sucks I I hate finishing an upgrade video on a bad notes I mean the good news is is the IMX G4 is seeing the airport card I mean the little Wi-Fi thing is there and I'm seeing all the settings which wasn't there to begin with but now it is cuz I installed it I mean as you can see right there it's just I don't know what to do so it's not all bad I mean at least the airport card is installed correctly and that's working I just can't see the networks that's the problem and yes networks I tried multiple networks in terms of obviously my primary Network coming from my AirPort Extreme as well as sharing my Mac Pro's wireless connection which my iPhone 5S can see just fine so that confirms that works just for whatever reason the MX G4 cannot say it but apparently this is a a a huge topic on the Apple support forms and Mac RoR forms and whatever cuz if you Google Airport Card I'm actually for not working it's a pretty common error but uh anyway it's 4:30 what do you say I side of things including turning the system on because the system's in standby so it technically has the capability of always listening technology like the Xbox One does so who knows we'll see it's normally go for the Xbox One version because I know a lot of people are wondering but the PS4 runs at a higher resolution which is important to me and plus I want the trophies so let's put the game disc in there bada bing bada boom and it's actually a good indication of how much I'm truly enjoying my PS4 um as I said for years now I was kind of a 360 Fanboy when it come to 360 versus PS3 I just love the 360 overall uh to me the controller destroyed the dual shock 3 Xbox Live integration was so much better than PlayStation network but nowadays I love console both both consoles equally I love my PS4 because it's technically more advanced than the Xbox One um so I'm going to go with the PS4 for a certain on platform titles depending on the resolution and the controller so for first person shooters I'm still an Xbox one person and always will be I just like that controller more but the dual shock 4 is better for Platformers in games like Tomb Raider and higher resolution so both consoles definitely have their benefits and where is neack um just to make it very clear there's no reason to choose one I mean if you have the freedom to have both then go for both because well both are great there's really no need to argue and I don't understand why people continue to argue over the Xbox one versus PS4 it's quite literally one of the stupidest arguments you could ever have in life it's just pointless and Maui agrees right ma ra right exactly as I like to say play anything and everything so while that's installing let's make some more coffee now one more thing I do want to say about PS4 then versus Xbox One and then I'll shut up is Microsoft still easily has the upper hand when it comes to networking PlayStation Network as great as it is it's not nearly as robust as Xbox Live is for instance I can never accept more than five or six friend requests one after another on PSN without it just going blank like seriously my friend request and name request will just disappear and then me as the player/ user has to sit there for a minute and wait for it to refresh why that's an issue in 2014 I'm not sure I I don't know I just simply don't know again networking is my weak point I don't I don't really understand all the lingo behind networking uh but I will say this Sony's got to get their act together when it comes to PSN in terms of performance but in terms of features there winning over Xbox live in regards to PlayStation Plus cuz I freaking love PlayStation Plus the fact that I got Outlast for free that's just amazing and I really hope Microsoft gets better with that with Xbox Live but then again PSN has its good points and bad points Xbox Live has its good points and bad points like anything in life nothing will ever ever ever ever be perfect and you have to accept that I don't care how fanboyish you are every product has faults and you have to admit them otherwise you're blind I finally set out to make my mom it begins here and I'm playing on hard this time nowadays I play hard over normal that way I get the extra trophies or achievements and with a game like this not to repeat myself too much but I beat it already on the 360 I think on normal so this time I'm going hard hey Ma M yeah tired Kitty all right guys I think I'm signing off for the night but let me just say this real quick Tomb Raider is amazing so far just like I enjoyed on the 360 version the graphics are beautiful sound design is awesome surround sound works really well the gameplay mechanics are just as fun as it as you know they were on 360 physics are incredibly satisfying the developers did such a good job at making the player want to go back to other locations and get all the Collectibles because there's something really satisfying about shooting out the fire Lantern or destroying a crate and seeing the physics of the wood breaking apart just to get salvaged for XP towards weapon upgrades skill upgrades all that stuff the game developers did a great job and that's something I can't say for many games in recent years because honestly I get lazy with certain games uh there's very few games that encourage me to explore and actually enjoy myself for instance Knack is a great example of that I had a great time exploring um you know all the nooks and crannies for the Collectibles and Tomb Raider is a prime example of that so if you can definitely pick up either the definitive edition but if you're looking to save money you can get the old Tomb Raider by old I mean the game just came out like a year ago probably less than a year ago um for the 360 or or the PS3 for probably 20 or $30 now um so definitely look into it if you enjoy um action/adventure type games so guys I'm signing off for the weekend let me know did you enjoy the GoPro for here from David franco.com it is February 22nd 2014 and this is the weekend vlogy Vlog being recorded with the GoPro Hero 3 plus Black Edition I got to say quality is pretty amazing now real quick I got to give you a heads up I'm not using a super wide angle view on the GoPro because while it looks cool it's not realistically cool I mean it's kind of ridiculous how wide it is but believe me it looks it looks amazing I mean it's a widest lens camera whatever you want to say that I've ever owned through my history of being on YouTube but um in other words I narrowed it down to the medium setting I forget what the exact setting is called but basically I'm kind of in the middle which I think looks great as it is okay so the only downside about this is I cannot see what I'm looking at but I trust everything's in frame because the GoPro is very wide angle like I said so it's not a huge deal seeing what you're recording but still it's a pretty sweet camera for instance look at hunt your pant let's get nice and close it is a fixed Focus so I'm not sure what the focal length is going to be in terms of when it stops being a sharp image hey pants he's in jail so while this is really cool the GoPro is definitely not my new vlogging camera this is purely an experiment but I promise you this I will be doing future videos with the GoPro such as taking it in the pool because it does include a waterproof case which is tight is tight as hell seriously getting this thing open is kind of a pain in the ass but it should be that way because it's freaking airtight nothing is going to get in this thing not even lava okay maybe lava all right so what's really cool about this is I can see see what I'm looking at by opening up my GoPro app on my iPhone so I can get a real time preview of what I'm recording for instance there's me recording my iPhone how cool is that now that is GoPro setion look at that that is so sweet and yes I had to stress this one more time the wide angle is amazing look there's me right there look how close the camera is yet you're getting the entire iPhone in there now obviously it's distorted but that's one of the draw packs with a wideangle lens but I got to say this is the kind of good Distortion if that makes sense I just like how that looks it's not over the top but I promise you I will homie chill out yo I will be doing a future video where I compare the wide angle modes where basically I'll show you this huge panoramic shot of a backyard or whatever such as my parents backyard and then I'll tick that setting down if that's the right word tick it down I don't know um to like the medium setting and then I'll do normal so I think that's a good way of seeing what the GoPro is truly capable of in a wide- angle sense all right let's make some coffee brewing I think I just flipped you off again sorry about that all right so as cool as it is seeing yourself on the iPhone I do have to say there isn't accessory actually there's hundreds of accessories that's actually kind of insane and impressive at the same time there is an accessory for a small touch screen monitor that you can put on the back of your GoPro so that way it's more like a traditional cam quitter I'm not sure if it flips out um I still have to do some more research on it but the point is you can get an external display which is really neat it sells for about $70 which I don't think it's too insane I mean I've seen prices for products higher than that that are worth less than that I don't know if I explain that right but you guys know what I mean and actually while we're at it let's do a few tests let's just walk around my parents house by the way they are in Atlantic City again but they will be home later today jam on this camera is just amazing oh and guys the form factor is stupidly tiny of course stupidly tiny I mean that in a good sense also another thing I really like is I'm not usually a fan of of fixed Focus but because this has no monitor built in I actually prefer fixed Focus because something I cannot stand about some vlogging cameras out there such as the Canon elf Power Shot 300 HS or the 310 HS is while you can't see yourself the camera still has autofocus and the autofocus sucks I've watched so many vloggers out there where it literally takes 30 seconds 45 seconds or maybe it doesn't even focus but it takes that long for the camera to focus and to me as a viewer that's really annoying so for something like the GoPro I think fixed focus is perfect and uh honestly because the GoPro is really meant for extreme use hence their commercials and their ads and and in the marketing um so when you're snowboarding with this thing on your helmet or you're catching that huge wave and Mavericks or whatever I say Mavericks Apple reference um you don't want the camera you know constantly trying to autofocus you want it fix Focus get in the action no matter what the consequences are I don't know if consequences is the right word but yeah okay so now going into the sun room let's see how it looks outside I've not done any outside footage yet there you go everything's pretty much dead here it's New Jersey in the winter but still I think it'll look pretty sweet on this camera and boom and now this should be really exciting to see how it looks with the super viw on because again super view is off I don't want to repeat myself too much but I just want to make it very clear that what you're seeing now isn't even the true capability of the GoPro I mean it's truly capable of so much more what the freak is going on here Autumn what are you doing Autumn jazine watch out she's going to land on you come on get down no don't go in the door no Autumn she's fine she just has to shift over to the right or her left Autumn come on over here come on I keep forgetting I don't I don't have to hold the camera so far cuz if I do this you should still be able to see my whole face which is just amazing come on Autumn get down it'll probably be 3D by the time I edit this not true 3D but it'll have that effect cuz your snout has so much depth to it there you go there you go I cannot wait to see how that looks if I do end up using a GoPro enough I might invest in the monitor I say invest it's $70 it's not like it's $7,000 but still I mean if I like it enough and if I can flip it around then maybe I'll look into it and then actually as soon as this Clips done I'm going to research it on Amazon a bit and look at reviews all right so I was making coffee so let's get back into that yes the GoPro does get pretty warm childhood right there and also you probably noticed already the GoPro as far as I'm aware does not have image stabilization so it's kind of shaky so if I do this looks kind of weird that's just an example um the GoPro is aren going to handle it too well whereas my Panasonic HZ sc600 K would handle it very well cuz it has an optical image stabilizer in it otherwise known as ois but again as far as I'm aware the GoPro has nothing but we'll see if it's a dough breaker or not obviously I'll cover that on my full review in a week or two I do love kicks this is kind of dumb maybe and it's just honestly something that's been on my mind but doesn't that look like the Mac Pro sort of like you look at it real quick from the edges I don't know maybe it's just me Autumn come here Autumn yeah you freaking loved it as I made clear in last weekend's Vlog towards the very very end and if you made it to that far and the Vlog seriously props High freaking five because the Vlog was like an hour and 27 minutes long which is insane uh but anyway towards the end of that Vlog I made it very clear that I purposely did not hun myself up for Titanfall because I don't want to get disappointed and I do that for many things like the last of us I barely looked into the last of us before buying it and I fell in love with that game I me one of the best games I've ever played because I didn't Hy myself up too much I went in with kind of just the expectation of oh everyone else has been loving this I wonder how it's going to be for me and the same thing goes for the TitanFall beta I freaking loved it great beta solid gameplay solid performance I was talking to my friend Richie last night from Texas on the phone and he was saying that he heard that there was Zero lag I think he was talking about that not totally sure cuz he didn't play it but I'm guessing he read about it either way lag was pretty much minimal I had a great ping time I think it was like 12 Ms which is great for my location and so yeah I will definitely be buying Titanfall on day one for the Xbox one I cannot wait you know I don't talk about this often but I do have a MacBook Pro who was originally Chris buros and he just happens to be right there and this thing is capable of running OS 10 Mavericks which is really really nice and what's really cool is this is a a preview of things that come with my Mac Pro because as you know that thing is still running OS 10 lion and I'm incapable of updating it natively anyway uh to at least mountain lion or Mavericks so I'm kind of stuck on Ling but running Mavericks on my MacBook Pro is definitely a nice preview of things to expect on my Mac Pro once I get it in maybe April or May for example push notifications built into Safari and Mavericks is awesome the fact that I can get a push alert on my desktop right here from sites like nyac.com Mac rooms.com or anything else maybe even apple.com that is so cool so no longer do I have to manually check the website to see if the news is there I mean obviously I'll still check it myself here and there but it's just really really neat that I can get notifications right there on my desktop and by the way as of last night I forgot or as of two nights ago rather Maybe um I forgot that Apple did away with leather in their calendar app in OS 10 so that was definitely a nice surprise I mean I never truly hated the leather look in the previous version of IAL which by the way they just call calendar now to coincide with OS iOS which is smart but um basically I'm loving Mavericks and I cannot wait to use it every day I hate missing out on features like this especially with push alerts I love that feature in Mavericks and Mountain line it's just something I can't get on my Mac Pro and the fact that I can soon think I made a vlog about this already uh so I really can't wait to experience how much better it is on the PS4 I believe it runs at 60 frames per second in full 1080p so the game's going to be amazing and I'm really really excited about playing through it again cuz I just enjoyed the hell out of it on a 360 hey Smoke and also that bow and arrow it feels so great in that game hey smoke what you doing you want egg salad don't you well you ain't getting egg salad I'm getting egg salad on toast yay they're on their way home and look at this my mom just said that we're going camping apparently on April 11th when they pick up the RV that they bought last weekend you get 2 days free camping next door at the their Campground so yeah for those who didn't watch last weekend's Vlog my parents did buy an RV they bought one of those miniature trailer type RVs not like the huge kind like Eddie from Christmas Vacation it's a Clark s dude um but it is really nice for what it is and it actually extends like once I mean it looks small on the outside but then once you get on the inside apparently you press a button and then it actually extends out of the walls which is just awesome so what am I getting at here well I'm excited to tell you guys that I will be making videos about the RV in terms of both of introducing it to you guys doing a a tour any other videos you guys want to see basically I'm just really excited because I'm essentially entering a new category of video and I could be attracting viewers that I never would have attracted before cuz I never had RV footage but now starting on April 11th apparently I will so it's going to be pretty pretty sweet so I'm so distracted I'm looking all over the place cuz Jasmine's walking over anyway so yeah stay tuned for RV goodness such a good movie and you know what it's really interesting watching this after watching Monsters University not too long ago it's just fascinating seeing how they grow up as college students and eventually working at Monsters Inc and then eventually you know changes happen I don't want to say it just in case cuz there are people out there who have not seen Monsters Inc yet including my dad Jpop good old nap but he enjoyed Monsters University he didn't enjoy it as much as he loved despicable M it doesn't have that adult humor but still he liked it I loved it I love I love Pixar the only Pixar movie that has disappointed me greatly and I literally fell asleep during it was Cars 2 Cars 2 I just thought was pretty boring overall the first one was so much better jasine what are you doing you're you're no come here you were not going to jump yeah but anyway Cars 2 is definitely my most disappointing Pixar film yet but everything else is great and I cannot wait until Finding Dory that movie is going to be so freaking awesome because for those who don't know Toy Story is mostly everyone's favorite but my personal favorite is Finding Nemo I love Finding Nemo the story is great the music's incredible the characters are so likable it's funny as hell the setting is I love water physics whether it's a video game or a movie I just love seeing objects and people and animals interact within water I just think it's the coolest thing so yeah I loved Finding Nemo and I cannot wait until Finding Dory get in the mail this is actually a great test to see how this handles wind it's mildly windy out today with a crap load of sun behind me so I'm interested to see how it handles exposure um in terms of the foreground and the background I'm sure I'm kind of a silhouette right now as expected with any kind of camera unless you have some kind of insane multi thousand camera oh there's a package on there I'll it trying to hold everything it once stay at man coming in all this spiders serious and yes we take Hunter out on a leash in our own backyard cuz he tends to go on the pool over there and we don't really want him getting wet this time of year I mean in the in the summer it's fine obviously come on hter good boy you just enjoying life all right this is a great example of the wide angle lens again I'm not on super viw mode but eventually when I am like maybe in the summer when everything's alive again and looking green and good and all that good stuff um then I will do a comparison video but for now here's the field on medium setting and I'm sure it looks pretty good of course I'll find out when I actually import this footage or or again if I view it on my iPhone which is very convenient I might buy the screen for this cuz I I can't imagine vlogging Tech also known as Bruce Naylor he um dm'd me an update video regarding my campaign and his thoughts on supporting content creators so that should be very interesting I'm going to airplay it to the Apple TV guys seriously I love love my Apple TV probably no definitely one of my favorite Apple products of all time and I cannot wait to see what a true Apple TV is capable of especially if it's like the Xbox One if it has HDMI pass through from my other devices and I just need that one box that would be awesome especially if it integrates Siri imagine what to connect us with the Xbox one you can just say Xbox get to Netflix uh but for this you could say Siri go to Netflix how freaking convenient would that be cuz I got to say I love my Xbox one but I primarily use it as a gaming device and I there's a very good chance that I could be getting a 7% corporate discount on my Mac Pro as well as a 15% discount so I've been emailing people back and forth to see if um um basically eligible I guess that's the best word for it and it looks like I am because my accountant emailed me back in like 10 minutes yeah I'm pacing it back and forth that's what I do I don't really want to give out information on this person's corporate account CU then I don't want other people emailing them just in case but you know who you are out there thank you so much um provided this works out so I'll most likely be going with a six core Mac Pro um maybe maybe I'm still not completely decided yet but I'm most likely going with six core that means I get the 16 GB of RAM dual AMD firepro d500 to 3 GB of vram up from 2 GB on the quadcore model and just a firepro D300 um as well as 200 and 56 GB of flash storage I honestly hope I mean I wish that included more flash storage than the quadcore model uh but then again I might bump that up just a little bit we'll see CU it would be nice to have 512 um not that it's a huge deal cuz I'll using an external drive for all my media storage for graphic design photography and most of all videos but anyway I just want to update you guys I didn't even hop in the shower yet um it's nearly 1:00 but like I said I've been going back and forth and yes I slept in my regular reg clothes except for my PJs um so I just want to fill you in guys because this is very exciting so I might be ordering my Mac Pro in the coming days now that I'm decided and now that I actually have the funds in my accounts this means I can afford it which is amazing guys thank you so much the only thing I'll be holding off on is the Thunderbolt display because the Mac Pro is not shipping until at least April I want to hold off on my Thunderbolt display and until like the very last day maybe like a day or two before my Mac Pro arrives because you never know Apple could roll out an updated Thunderbolt display or a 4K display of some kind before my Mac Pro ships it's unlikely but I would hate to take the chance and there's no point of having a thunderbolt display in but I promise I will be redoing it shortly it's just a big project in the works but anyway getting to the point you see that that's a desk that my dad didn't end up needing because it was too big for his bedroom because I believe my mom's using it for scrapbooking stuff or something like that so he was nice enough to give it to me and then they got a smaller one for their bedroom since like I said it wouldn't fit so what do you think should I actually put put my new Mac Pro on this desk instead because I really really like my Ikea jerker I've had this thing for years it's perfect but the Mac Pro would look really nice on a white desk the only thing that I'm not sure I'm sorry I guess so you don't need to know that all the freaking coffee um the the things I tell you guys what do you think I should do because the only major downside is because I use no mouse pad my mouse would not do very well at all on a white surface and believe me I know that from my white desk back there on my iMac G4 so I would kind of have to use a mouse pad which isn't a huge deal I would order a nice mouse pad like a decent one but very flat um well obviously flat but you know what I mean not too much thickness what do you guys think white desk or Ikea jerker let me know in the comments below again this is for my new Mac Pro either way I will still continue to use this desk for either my current Mac Pro or the new Mac Pro so I will still have both desks fully used in the same house just different rooms but I think it could be time to switch things up I've been installing my airport card for the past at least hour or so and I've had nothing but problems I mean it installed perfectly I didn't have any issues with that whatsoever but now it's not seeing my networks at all and yes I've been recording the entire process the camera is right behind me so you'll see this video on Tuesday tomorrow if you're watching this on Monday however I just installed a bunch of software updates so this might fix it I'm not going to go into details right now because um I've talked about that plenty in the actual upgrade video so if you're interested go on over there and watch it in the meantime look confessed everyone that I was unsuccessful with the airport card upgrade I mean it's not technically my fault it's not like I'm being a noob and I don't know what's going on it's the fact that networking protocols were different back then and there's something conflicting between the iMac G4 and my AirPort Extreme which I just bought almost two years ago so obviously technology has progressed a lot since the days of the IMX G4 it just sucks I I hate finishing an upgrade video on a bad notes I mean the good news is is the IMX G4 is seeing the airport card I mean the little Wi-Fi thing is there and I'm seeing all the settings which wasn't there to begin with but now it is cuz I installed it I mean as you can see right there it's just I don't know what to do so it's not all bad I mean at least the airport card is installed correctly and that's working I just can't see the networks that's the problem and yes networks I tried multiple networks in terms of obviously my primary Network coming from my AirPort Extreme as well as sharing my Mac Pro's wireless connection which my iPhone 5S can see just fine so that confirms that works just for whatever reason the MX G4 cannot say it but apparently this is a a a huge topic on the Apple support forms and Mac RoR forms and whatever cuz if you Google Airport Card I'm actually for not working it's a pretty common error but uh streaming quality isn't nearly as good as the Xbox One Connect the connect just blows it away in every way possible uh but for what it is it's great um I just really hope Sony improves the software side of things including turning the system on because the system's in standby so it technically has the capability of always listening technology like the Xbox One does so who knows we'll see it's normally go for the Xbox One version because I know a lot of people are wondering but the PS4 runs at a higher resolution which is important to me and plus I want the trophies so let's put the game disc in there bada bing bada boom and it's actually a good indication of how much I'm truly enjoying my PS4 um as I said for years now I was kind of a 360 Fanboy when it come to 360 versus PS3 I just love the 360 overall uh to me the controller destroyed the dual shock 3 Xbox Live integration was so much better than PlayStation network but nowadays I love console both both consoles equally I love my PS4 because it's technically more advanced than the Xbox One um so I'm going to go with the PS4 for a certain on platform titles depending on the resolution and the controller so for first person shooters I'm still an Xbox one person and always will be I just like that controller more but the dual shock 4 is better for Platformers in games like Tomb Raider and higher resolution so both consoles definitely have their benefits and where is neack um just to make it very clear there's no reason to choose one I mean if you have the freedom to have both then go for both because well both are great there's really no need to argue and I don't understand why people continue to argue over the Xbox one versus PS4 it's quite literally one of the stupidest arguments you could ever have in life it's just pointless and Maui agrees right ma ra right exactly as I like to say play anything and everything so while that's installing let's make some more coffee now one more thing I do want to say about PS4 then versus Xbox One and then I'll shut up is Microsoft still easily has the upper hand when it comes to networking PlayStation Network as great as it is it's not nearly as robust as Xbox Live is for instance I can never accept more than five or six friend requests one after another on PSN without it just going blank like seriously my friend request and name request will just disappear and then me as the player/ user has to sit there for a minute and wait for it to refresh why that's an issue in 2014 I'm not sure I I don't know I just simply don't know again networking is my weak point I don't I don't really understand all the lingo behind networking uh but I will say this Sony's got to get their act together when it comes to PSN in terms of performance but in terms of features there winning over Xbox live in regards to PlayStation Plus cuz I freaking love PlayStation Plus the fact that I got Outlast for free that's just amazing and I really hope Microsoft gets better with that with Xbox Live but then again PSN has its good points and bad points Xbox Live has its good points and bad points like anything in life nothing will ever ever ever ever be perfect and you have to accept that I don't care how fanboyish you are every product has faults and you have to admit them otherwise you're blind I finally set out to make my mom it begins here and I'm playing on hard this time nowadays I play hard over normal that way I get the extra trophies or achievements and with a game like this not to repeat myself too much but I beat it already on the 360 I think on normal so this time I'm going hard hey Ma M yeah tired Kitty all right guys I think I'm signing off for the night but let me just say this real quick Tomb Raider is amazing so far just like I enjoyed on the 360 version the graphics are beautiful sound design is awesome surround sound works really well the gameplay mechanics are just as fun as it as you know they were on 360 physics are incredibly satisfying the developers did such a good job at making the player want to go back to other locations and get all the Collectibles because there's something really satisfying about shooting out the fire Lantern or destroying a crate and seeing the physics of the wood breaking apart just to get salvaged for XP towards weapon upgrades skill upgrades all that stuff the game developers did a great job and that's something I can't say for many games in recent years because honestly I get lazy with certain games uh there's very few games that encourage me to explore and actually enjoy myself for instance Knack is a great example of that I had a great time exploring um you know all the nooks and crannies for the Collectibles and Tomb Raider is a prime example of that so if you can definitely pick up either the definitive edition but if you're looking to save money you can get the old Tomb Raider by old I mean the game just came out like a year ago probably less than a year ago um for the 360 or or the PS3 for probably 20 or $30 now um so definitely look into it if you enjoy um action/adventure type games so guys I'm signing off for the weekend let me know did you enjoy the GoPro for
