**Voice-Controlled Squad Management: A New Era in Gaming**
Imagine being able to control a squad of soldiers through various tactical scenarios, using only your voice to issue commands and navigate the battlefield. This is the reality of "Tactical Squad", a new game that combines innovative voice-controlled gameplay with rich narrative and immersive character development.
**A Narrative-Based Experience**
"Tactical Squad" is a highly narrative-based experience, where players take on the role of a squad leader tasked with completing various missions and objectives. The game features a cast of unique characters, each with their own personalities, motivations, and speech patterns. These characters respond to the player's voice commands, creating a sense of emotional connection between the player and the game world.
**Command Aliasing: Customizing Your Experience**
One of the innovative features of "Tactical Squad" is its command aliasing system. Players can customize their commands to suit their preferences, replacing existing commands with new ones or even creating entirely new voice commands. For example, players can alias a character named Corin to "Lonus", allowing them to use a more personalized nickname when issuing orders.
**A Risk Worth Taking**
The development team acknowledges that using voice-controlled gameplay in a game like "Tactical Squad" is a significant risk. However, the team believes that this approach will create a unique and engaging experience for players. As one of the developers noted, "We wanted to try something really different... We wanted to create an emotional connection between the player and the characters in the game." This approach may not be without its challenges, but it's clear that the development team is committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in gaming.
**The Voice Actors**
The voice acting in "Tactical Squad" is a key aspect of the game's success. The cast includes talented actors such as Will Wheaton, Ashley Burch, Laura Bailey, Yuri Lowenthal, and Karen Strasman, among others. These performers bring depth and nuance to the characters, making them feel more like real people than just digital avatars.
**Recording in July**
The development team is excited to record their voices for the game, which will take place in July. This will be a significant opportunity for the cast to come together and record their performances, bringing the game's world and characters to life.
**Controller Keyboard and Mouse Options**
While voice-controlled gameplay is at the forefront of "Tactical Squad", the game also supports controller keyboard and mouse commands. Players who prefer these options can still enjoy the game without relying on voice commands, or combine both approaches to create a personalized experience that suits their playstyle.
**Indie Mega Booth Experience**
At the Indie Mega Booth, visitors had the chance to experience "Tactical Squad" firsthand. The game's innovative voice-controlled gameplay and rich narrative were showcased in a demo sequence, giving players a glimpse into the world of this exciting new title. With its unique blend of strategy and storytelling, "Tactical Squad" is definitely one game to watch out for in the coming months.
**Conclusion**
"Tactical Squad" represents a bold experiment in gaming innovation, combining voice-controlled gameplay with rich narrative and immersive character development. While there are risks involved, the development team's enthusiasm and commitment to this approach make it clear that they're dedicated to creating something truly special. With its talented cast of characters and innovative command aliasing system, "Tactical Squad" is a game that's sure to captivate players and leave a lasting impression.

hearing about this game ever since we landed and I I've had to check it out and we've been busy but we're finally here and I got to play it myself and it's it's one hell of an experience and they don't even have the voice actors in there yet so what what is this game what can you tell me about this game this is a voice controlled realtime strategy game uh it's a little complicated we're in the court alpha 1 rce to Delta 3 on my mark Miranda Fire on my mark let's do it hit him Grace go will ween and Ashley berar in the game and you're controlling a squad uh through various tactical scenarios with your voice and you say things like all units to Alpha 1 uh Shields up Focus Fire On Target 2 tactical decisions like that and it's a really narrative based experience and it's a lot of fun to control with your voice so it sounds really really cool when he talks about that but some things that you guys might be worried about is like oh well I don't really know military commands I'm not going to remember to say uh to bra Bravo 2 or any of that kind of stuff so what you guys have something in place for that can you explain how that works yeah so we have this system called command aliasing uh I can tell you what the basic military commands are but it's a little tough to remember all those and even if you do maybe it's not the way you want to command your guys so we have this system where you can replace any existing command or character or or anything in the game with whatever you want if you don't want to call him Corin you can call him Benedict Cumberbatch if you don't want the command to be fire you can say mess those guys up and this can be completely customized however you want and it's one of those things that you kind of just I understand that it it's a little
