**A Visit to the First Showing of Cars: The Movie**
Years ago, I had the opportunity to attend the very first showing of Pixar Studios' Cars movie. I was surprised to learn that it was not an old film, but rather one of their earliest releases. As we sat in the theater watching the movie, I couldn't help but notice the difference between the on-screen cars and those in the audience. The characters' eyes seemed out of place, with headlights instead of facial features. It was a bit jarring to see how far behind the times they were.
As I looked around the theater, I noticed that people were discussing the movie's production values. One person mentioned that they wanted one of the Rock Sacks from Ecto-1, while another joked about wanting to hit 88 mph on the perimeter of the highway, just like Lightning McQueen. It was clear that the movie had sparked a lot of enthusiasm among its audience.
The interior of the cars in Cars was a particular topic of interest. One person commented that some of the vehicles looked "beaten up," while another noted that the interior design was more futuristic than most cars on display. I couldn't help but think of the DeLorean from Back to the Future, which seemed eerily similar to some of the cars in Cars.
As we discussed the movie further, someone mentioned that it wasn't actually based on the first car to outrun a T-Rex. Instead, it was inspired by Dennis Hopper's character in the original Jurassic Park film. The person joked that they wished they could have driven the Jeep Wrangler from the movie, which seemed like an exciting prospect.
Next, we took a look at the BMW X2 concept car, which was showcased on the Citroën stand. While it didn't particularly excite me, I did appreciate the new design language that the car's kidney grille represented. Unfortunately, some people were not fans of the changes made to the traditional grille design.
The Paris Motor Show is an annual event that features a wide range of cars from various manufacturers. As we walked around the show floor, we came across several interesting vehicles. One of the most notable was the WRC car, which featured a unique arrow-shaped design element. We were also able to take a closer look at the Citroën C3 WRC concept car, which showed some promising design elements.
Just as we were finishing up our tour of the show floor, we spotted another WRC car that had been developed by Tommy McKinney and his team. The car featured an array of arrow-shaped design elements, including cutouts of arches and other decorative features. It was clear that this car was going to be a force to be reckoned with on the rally circuit.
Finally, as we left the Paris Motor Show, we took a look at some of the cars competing in the 2017 Carrera Cup. One particular model caught my eye - a sunshade masquerading as a rear wing. I couldn't help but express my disappointment at this design choice, and I wondered if others might share my opinion.
**The Paris Motor Show: A Wrap-Up**
As we left the show floor for good, I couldn't help but feel that the Paris Motor Show had provided an exciting glimpse into the world of racing and automotive design. From concept cars like the Citroën C3 WRC to production vehicles like the BMW X2, there was a wide range of interesting models on display.
As we looked around at the various cars on show, it was clear that the Paris Motor Show had once again delivered an exciting experience for its attendees. Whether you're a car enthusiast or just someone who appreciates good design, this event has something to offer everyone.
