How to Recover Deleted Files in Windows Using Free Software
hi there this is Ranjit from tech.com and in this video I'm going to show you how to recover deleted files in Windows basically by using this free software that you can download from the site uh you can recover deleted files and I'll show you how but you might be noticing that uh it shows that the it says premium support it's uh $24 this is just for the support the actual software is free and you can go to one of these two links and download the software I've downloaded from file hippo and I have it installed uh
The First Step: Deleting Files from a Pen Drive
The thing you need to note is that for recovering files it depends upon how long the files were deleted for example if you deleted the file accidentally say 2 3 days ago there's a good chance of recovering that file but say if that file was deleted about a month or two ago then the chances of recovering that file is Slim So we have a couple of files on this pen drive we have this uh picture of ESS router we have Firefox setup and a couple of other uh videos so I'm going to select these three files assus Firefox and the Wi-Fi router thing and we're going to delete those files
I Have Deleted These Files
I have deleted these files and we'll go to the recycle bin and empty them so these files are now permanently deleted but now using that software we are trying to recover those those files so I have installed the software
The Free Software: Reccoonah
the first thing you notice whenever you run this software uh this runs in this wizard form but I'm going to use the manual method to recover the files and this is the interface that we get the first thing we need to select is from which Drive do we want to recover our deleted files um our is the e Drive that's the pen drive I select that and now we going to hit this option that's the scan option and I hit the scan option as you can see uh it shows us a bunch of files
The Software Interface
the thing to not is that if the file is in green color you can recover those files uh with the red files it's difficult to recover and it if you scroll over here it shows the comment if the file can be recovered or not as you can see uh most of them which are in red are unrecoverable and those which are in green are in excellent
Selecting Files to Recover
so I select all those files and I hit this recover button and we need to select a location where we want to save this files do not save it on the same uh drive from where you are recovering the files I'm going to I have made a folder on my desktop called recovered files and I I tell it to recover it over there so based upon your file size it going to take some time for for me the files are relatively small so it recovered those three files in 4.2 seconds
Recovering Deleted Files
so let's see the recovered files and as you can see in the recovery folder we it has successfully recovered these files we'll open this as you can see the image has been restored and the software has successfully recovered all the three files
Conclusion: Using Reccoonah to Recover Deleted Files
