How to Make a Paper Rose Bush for Dolls as a Gift or Keepsake

For this project, our inspiration comes from a little branch that you can see here and what we want to make is small roses. We have different sizes in our template and we are going to use the medium size here so that we can make a medium-sized rose. I'm using this and I'm tracing the template after I have cut it off onto a sheet of card stock. You can use any color you like, I'm going to use red and green. Red for my rose and green for the back of the Rose.

I have three templates here that I have already cut off and I'm going to fold in this manner now you're going to wrinkle the base of the Rose. This is the base of the Rose and you're going to push into the middle until you form a bot like this. After that, you want to put a bit of glue in the center around the petals and then hold it in place until it dries.

For the second sheet, we're going to go ahead and wrinkle only in the base of each petal like this. And for the smaller ones, you can use the Eraser of a pencil to actually do this procedure. I'm using my thumb but you can use that and you can use also the scissors handles as well. Then we're going to glue the first uh butt that we made into the second one. Now we have this. We will now attach it to the third one. For the third one, we're going to slightly curl in each petal and do the same thing at the top of each petal. And then we will have the following shape which looks like the rose but a little bit um squished in the center.

I'm going to put a little bit of glue and then I am going to take the rest of my rose and attach it. And that's it, the rose is done. Now for the actual bottom part of the Rose, I'm going to use a star shape you can see it here. I'm going to slightly bend it in this manner giving it the shape and then I'm going to put a bit of glue on it so that I can attach it to my rose. And I will do that.

This is my Rose the one that I just made, and these are the ones that I made previously which are are smaller in size but it's the same procedure you just need to use a smaller template for the purposes of this video. I wanted you to see the actual procedure now.

For the bush itself, for the bush, I found this little twig or Branch if you want to call it that. And I'm going to attach it to a little plastic cup of detergent and I'm going to put glue in it. I'm going to attach my little branch. For filler right now, I'm using the trays of meat or vegetables that you discard. And I'm putting that inside and then I'm going to attach the little roses into each one of the branches.

As you can see here, you can do the roses in different colors, you can use them for many different things, you can use it for dolls, you can use them for keepsakes uh for weddings for whatever you like. And I have them here for my doll Dracula as you can see and I also have it for my Barbie doll and I also can use it for my 18in doll my American Girl doll Molly so you can do this project for anything really and you can even give it as a gift if you want to.
