Big Boost Problems...

I'm going to be at the track today with cable and her computer so I can log in to make sure the car isn't leaning out too much now that the boost leak has been fixed, so I can send that data to Martin so we can adjust the car and make sure that I'm not going to lean out but I'm like so excited cuz I'm convinced that the car is going to make like over 375 horsepower now. Like it's less laggy oh my gosh freaking boost leaks man I realized the one thing that's different today other than the fact that we changed the coupler, I'm wearing the Big Boost shirt so there's a 50/50 chance that it was either the fixed boost leak or the fact that I'm wearing the Big Boo shirt that would account for my 240 running so great right now. But like words can't express how happy I am right now.

Something's weird because even though I turned the wastegate duty and the gain all the way down to my Boost controller, I'm hitting 29 PSI that's a big boost, alright. So I got really excited cuz I thought we got Big Boost but now I think there might just be a vacuum line popped off because it was at 29 PSI on the highway with zero wastegate duty and zero gain. Wait, 29 PSI it peaked at don't worry I backed off don't worry what too much big boo yeah it's a little bit too much you can't be wearing that shirt around I know dude it's bad luck late at night.

I forgot to put down the actual signal hose you made me so happy we should leave it upten, we don't need it never mind nothing's wrong with it. So I was basically running without a waste gate with like unlimited boost silly me getting all excited for nothing oh Alberto's new cars here I'm going to go show you guys he got this thing for a steal not because I messed with all the settings on Boost controller.

We're going to put the car back on the dyno and make sure everything's still good, maybe it'll make a little more boost without the boost leak but we got to get all the pressures and everything right. The right settings all right so I'm the one driving the car in the dyno this will be a first for me this is so weird got to hold it at 3,000 hold on I'm monitoring both the afrs and the Boost in this and it looks like it's good once we get higher boost all we good.

The afrs are like 11 and boosters are around 13 so we're looking healthy. We've been trying so much oh my gosh it's been so difficult Chelsea didn't know if has been helping us over the phone very very thankful that he's been helping us the car doesn't really make that much more power than before but has a little bit more torque and it did make over 350 so that's fun.

Afrs are good remember you made 340 on a dino jet before this is a Mustang Dino so it has more load to the car so actually makes more power than that on the other Dino really yeah oh the houses nearby the shop have been complaining a lot so we had to keep closing the door and opening up between Dino poles and all the fumes and being super hungry we all really don't feel too well.

So we're just going to kind of quit while we're ahead and just leave the car where it's at it's about where it's at before bye Big Boost bye little boost at long last I'm back home I know it didn't seem like it but we were playing on the dyno for probably like 4 hours oh my goodness so thankful to be home moral of the story is you should buy the right fuel line read the power rating on motion detector switches and three if you're stupid like me and there's something wrong with your car don't go playing with your settings on your Boost cage.

We all make mistakes but that's how we learn and I like being able to document that and share it with you guys rather than like covering it up and making it look like I never make mistakes. I put all my stupidity out there and I feel like I get quite a bit of criticism for that but I'm just trying to be real with you guys I feel like it's way more relatable than if I just happen to know everything and never make a mistake.

day off today I'm supposed to be technically taking a break from filming but I have a couple little things going on that I figured I'd film just because so I'm headed to the auto part store because I need to get some new fuel lines for the 240 uh mine were a little bit like dry roted out and they're leaking a bit in the bay trying to avoid another fire but my task has been trying to get my ABS light to go on and my BMW on the way because they have code readers at auto part stores so I can finally figure out why my ABS light keeps coming out of my car if it's ABS module if it's a speed sensor my cob access port reads codes but it won't read this one for some reason so I'm hoping theirs will normally I have to beat on it quite a bit to get the ABS light to come on and unfortunately my car's a little bit cold so I might have to run some other errands in the meantime and just save the auto parts store for later try to get this bad boy to go on come on ABS light the one time that I want to go to the auto part store you won't go on well I'm just going to go get the fuel line I need and then I'm sure the ABS light will come on right after I leave if you are ever buying fuel line be very very very careful because uh chances are they'll just end up giving you the cheaper one which is like $2 or $3 but you need fuel injection line unless if you have like an old carburated car but uh if you use the wrong fuel line your car will probably explode so make sure you get the right one a lot of the people at the auto part stores don't really know what they're doing so tell them you want fuel injection hose I think it's like $6 or $7 a foot it's really not that much more expensive but it's under a lot more pressure than normal fuel lines so it's made a bit beefier pulling up to the new cabinets looks so pretty I grabbed some more stain at Home Depot and I also got one of these extension PS for the rollers when do you guys told me to get one of these in the comments so I'm going to try it out I also picked up a motion sensor for the garage that way I can enjoy the litness when I first pull in the garage so I don't have to like walk in the dark to go turn on the lights Matt says it wouldn't work with the lights but I don't know why it wouldn't so I'm going to try it cuz I like to prove Matt wrong we noticed that when I turned the key in the fuel pump primed that it smelled a little bit like Fuel and you can't see it right now but there was a little bit of fuel sweating through right here you can see that this Line's pretty old and corroded so I'm going to switch it out real quick now fuel is going to leak so I have a towel right here so I don't get covered in fuel I have sprayed fuel on my face before but I don't think there should be that much pressure right now not too bad we got Old Line we've got new line measure to make sure I get the right size I bought extra just in case mark it right here nice clean cut never hurts to use some new hose clamps too now I'm going to wipe everything down that way I could turn the key let the fuel pump Prime and see if there's any leaks anywhere just to be proactive I don't see any fuel so it looks like we are good it's kind of important to keep your engine bay clean and drifting that way you can see if you have any leaks or anything is going wrong can be very preventative and it obviously looks good too I've got a new coupl on that should hold the Boost but the line that held my catch can on with just a zip tie since I didn't have a hose clamp was leaking a little bit so I'm going to put a hose clamp on come on hose clamp please be big enough Sr should be good now maybe we'll take it for a a little spin later look at the condition of this old hose I'm trying to figure out this motion sensor switch now simple enough turn the breaker off pull the plate off green and the bear go to the ground pull all three to make sure they're all snug stuff it all back in there that was way too easy to not have done that sooner breakers on and see if it works so I can turn it off just by pressing the button ooh I'm going outside let's see if it detects my motion at least that works I read the instructions and I guess I just have to wait for them to time out and go off by themselves before they automatically go on by themselves I don't know it's kind of confusing a big project for me is going to be organizing stuff but I'm starting to try like keeping all the electrical stuff together Etc having this much zip ties is so satisfying we had this spare paper Tower holder which is like stainless and looks perfect on the counter so I'm using that for my shop towels uh I got a lot of my wiring kind of just coiled up all nice like that way I have spare wire whenever I need it and I've got some zip ties all my electrical connectors my backup zip ties for when to run out of those zip ties because drift car the motion sensor works now by the way and it's kind of annoying cuz it keeps shutting off on me while I'm working so I'm going to see if there's a way I can make it manual off auto on one thing I neglected to think about because I'm pretty pretty stupid the fact that the rating for that switch that I bought probably isn't enough to handle those lights and that would explain why it's getting quite warm so I don't think it's going to work and I think I'm going to have to take it back out but I'm sure they sell one that can hold all the lights I just have to order one I got some more stain mixed and I got some brown to try out on the railing so I'm going to go see how I like how
