The Art of Crafting with Dollar Tree Hauls

As I walked through the aisles of my local Dollar Tree store, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. just as like one holiday before is approaching like it still hasn't even been Halloween but this is just how a Dollar Tree works and I'm gonna share with you guys what I've picked up as my like pre-Christmas Before Christmas really hits at Dollar Tree so and of course because of that I felt like we had to do it up just kind of make this Christmassy and I have this gorgeous cable knit with the plaid this is actually vintage I think it's from the 90s so I'm super excited about this find but I do have three total bags to go through with you guys and I'm excited because quite a few things I got to like craft with and I'll explain it back it's been around for several years are these beautiful little bows but for me I'm getting them for the first time for Junk journaling you guys already know I'm going to say it but they are really cute to do any kind of crafting with even when it comes to like holiday ornaments and just making things super cute you can turn them into paper clips you can put them on Decor you can use them and gift wrapping so I love those and then I found all of the like color your own ornaments and I picked up the Snowman I thought he was super cute and yes you can definitely turn them into ornaments whether you're kind of at a point in your life where it's just you know no kids are around these are going to be great kind of in every kind of like Milestone that you're in I guess if that makes sense so if you have the kids this is going to be great for them to craft with kind of make their own special ornaments and they are just the laser cut out on this is so good you can even see like the nose of the Snowman so it's kind of like a little side profile but like even if you don't have kids at home this is still in my opinion so Chic and has that like farmhousey element that you can just make the most beautiful crafts with this whether you turn them into ornaments put them in Garland use them as present Toppers and charms for your bags like they're just so awesome for that I also picked up the Christmas tree which is my personal favorite I think I did get two bags of this and as you can see it also comes with the strings so that you can obviously shrink through the hole that they give you because they are timed as ornaments um they're also going to be great for crafting as well and junk journaling and things like that and then I found Santa he is waving which is super cute you can see the label is crafter square and this is why I talk about labels all the time you can see the color for Christmas with crafter square is going to be green so it was purple for Halloween it was orange for fall and it's green for Christmas and then here is the second bag of the Christmas trees so for right now I'm thinking I'm going to kind of turn these into a gingerbread cookie look to them so I'll be diying that I'll probably just like paint them a gingerbread Brown cookie color and then I'll use some type of Like Glue to emulate frosting essentially and then I picked up these snowflakes I also really like the snowflakes I'm going to probably use them in combination maybe with the gingerbread thing that I'm doing um and possibly in my guest bedroom I'm thinking I want to do a snowflake thing but right now to be honest I when whenever I start bringing down all my Christmas stuff and getting my bends and once I really take a look I I can tend to like change my mind like I could do snowflakes in here but right now I do have it in my head that I want to string like snowflake Garland in the guest bedroom which I've done before in my previous bedrooms by the way and if you're new I have a lot of content I've been on YouTube for like 10 years at this point and I have a lot of like decorate with me so I'll link my Christmas playlist Down Below in case you're interested in that and then I had to pick up some of the ribbons this is usually some of the first things that like just kind of trickle into the store and they have a lot to choose from already but I only picked up a few on this trip so this just says Merry Christmas um it's super pretty I should probably um let me go ahead and get some scissors and I'll open these so you guys can like see them better all right so here is this one what I will say is these are looking like the 2021 collection they don't strike like new to me so there is a chance because it isn't like trickling in effect that these could just be what each store has left over from last year I mean they're still great by the way but was the price a dollar 25 already by Last Christmas I forget when the price changed but I was kind of hoping for a new pattern set but again it's still so early so this is really cute you've got like a gray and red pattern with the Gnomes and I love that they're giving us different directions they're giving us verticals some are horizontal so that's a really nice and then just a good classic red but this one you guys is while it's so simple it's so good like it's gorgeous this one by far is my absolute favorite and I'll be buying like every time I go into Dollar Tree I'll probably like get one here and there it's usually how I do it all right in this bag we have some massive snowflakes that are under the crafter Square label and you can see that they are just very raw they are made to DIY and they are tagged as an ornament I mean look how huge that is this is very exciting to me because one thing that I've learned with decorating Christmas trees that's also another Kryptonite for me decorating with pillows hard for me decorating Christmas trees hard for me and what I've learned throughout the years is that when especially when you have like a bigger Fuller tree the key is larger ornaments at the bottom it just elevates the tree and you don't have to spend that much to do that like you can get this paint this white or whatever color is in your Christmas color palette and you tuck them at the bottom of the tree it's going to look stunning and then they did have different like snowflake cutout patterns as a matter of fact I think there was another option but I really liked this one and I really wasn't sure like honestly where I was going with this but I will probably be painting these white and putting them in the guest bedroom if I'm doing the snowflake theme like I think I am so there's that and then we also have these smaller ribbons which are again they're not really looking new actually I think there are some that look new to me but you just never know just when I think something's new something in the comments will be like no that was at my store the last couple years and I'm just like I've never seen it before in my life so and I go to Dollar Tree like several times a week so um all right there's just a lot I I guess I got a lot of ribbons and some of them as you can see are just repeats so I'll just go ahead and like show them one by one because yeah so we've got this one with the cute little snowman I love how he is on like a beige backdrop that's very interesting so yeah so there's that here is this one which has an elf theme which is super cute I feel like I should also open these up so you can see this one is very interesting it says love Santa so you know what I'm saying I don't know what the the kids are watching but that one is very cute and then this one is also very nice that I can tell that they kind of printed it off-centered because it looks like the pattern is more leaning towards this this edge here but I do love where they were going with this it kind of looks like the snowflakes are floating in the wind which is really pretty um then we have just this classic one I'm not going to go ahead and open this one up but these are actually the colors that I think I might do this year for wrapping my own presents I don't typically like this Grinch green I mentioned in a Hobby Lobby haul but at Hobby Lobby I picked up a bunch of gingerbread ribbon with this color palette so when I saw this at Dollar Tree I knew I wanted to grab it then we have this one which has the Buffalo check and the white snowflakes so pretty and then my favorite which I'm sure you can tell because I got three rolls of this because immediately I just know it looks like the same kind of quality that's at Hobby Lobby or Michael's and the little Christmas trees everything I'm gonna use this for so many things crafting putting on ornaments Christmas wrapping junk journaling so I really like that hang on I feel like I'm kind of oh yeah here's this one also just like the last one has that same like ribbed quality to the ribbon and it's so pretty so if you're you know Hanukkah or you just use this color palette for Christmas there's that and then we have the little red truck again some of the trucks are I yeah I think they're kind of leaning more towards this top Edge so the printing isn't quite right but you know sometimes that's just what you get from Dollar Tree very simple very classic with this one and then these two really blew me away because they have the most vintage quality to them most likely just because of that combination of the traditional red and gold but I was shook when I saw these and I probably hauled them last year sometimes I just see things with the fresh new set of eyes so sometimes it just strikes new to me then I picked up some ornaments my Dollar Trees are putting up ornaments it's usually like ribbons crafts and ornaments that are the first things to get put up and I noticed a little update to the skis that's why I was wondering if the price from a dollar to 1.25 went into effect last Christmas because I feel like what I'm expecting now honestly is for them to like really wow us right because that was part of like the price increase deal was to give us better items and this one they added like a whole little wreath and yeah I don't know it just looks a little bit more elevated this year and this is so cute now for me personally these are going to be the best as present Toppers like you really want to wow for like a gift you're going you know bringing the hostess a gift to a party of some sort these would be darling and if you were to do like a bag instead of a wrapped present you can just cut this and then re-tie it around the bag handle and it's like a little charm love that and I've done a lot of wrap with these too so again I'll link to my videos down below and then I found these ornaments I wasn't quite ready to like really dive into all the ornaments but these were just the ones that I was like no I'm gonna get them immediately they are so cute they have this like galvanized lid look to them and then this one says Merry Christmas you know with these you see like a lot of like glue string but I mean for a dollar 25 you know to be fair the ornaments at Walmart are pretty comparable as well they're around that price so got those too and then in this bag I picked up the gingerbread man I was so happy to see this one come back I diy'd this last year in my kitchen so go see again in my Christmas playlist dive into it and see what I did but I basically painted certain sections of him but I'm thinking I might want to do some more painting with these gingerbread men but I might want to like Elevate them a little bit I really don't know but there's a chance you'll be seeing a lot of these little guys in my hall I only have one because my store had one I don't know why that is but like there it is then I found the Snowman cup but they changed him I was so shocked and honestly kind of disappointed but the snowman nose is it just printed on whereas prior it was an actual you know piece of the that stuck out so I was just so sad like it's not the same for me personally but it's still yeah there it is I wanted to show you guys the update that the nose has changed um and then here is this one with the reverse color the white see just to show you guys comparison they both say ski lift that which is I guess you know that's fine yeah so there's that and then these I was the most impressed with these little like mini garlands they're labeled as Decor but as you can see they are like tied together and the last one has a hole which is awesome because if you were to get another one you could string them together and that is when I thought I would turn these into a Garland for above the bed in my guest bedroom so I'll just be painting them white probably dust some like glitter on it make it look sparkly um and just to show you guys there are different so these two are the same snowflakes but these are different and that's so awesome like I love that they did that so I got several of these oh here's another one this one is also different from the other ones kind of has like a rose petal end to it so there's that oh here's another one another ribbon with the gold to match the little vintage set like how pretty is that I've really been like gravitating towards vintage a lot lately it's just something that feels I don't know there's something nostalgic and comforting and beautiful about it and I really have wanted to take kind of like the dining room in the entryway into a more vintage look but I don't know then I changed my mind I'm like okay I'm gonna do the whole house gingerbread who knows what I'm gonna end up doing to be honest then we have these wood shapes um these are little angels and there's that Christmas label again like how cute are these little wooden dowel looking Angels like what we have the snowflakes great for crafting great for just anything and then we have the Bells and as you can see they don't come with a string but they are giving us the hole so that they can be strong which is amazing now the Angels don't have anything like that neither do the snowflakes but there's like the hole in the center of a snowflake and then we have the gingerbread men which is my favorite so stinking cute and then we have these which I this one is a Christmas tree like Crawford Square when they showed up on the scene a couple years ago they really have been changing the game here's snowmen so cute you get eight pieces and then we have stars love that so cute and pretty random I mean it's in this haul so I'll go ahead and show it I think it should have been in the previous haul but this is just a magnetic cord storage like what what that is so cool it doesn't even just have to be for your headphones I think it could be for any of like your wires but I have been trying to switch myself off of my wireless headphones to the string ones they're just honestly better overall with um you know just the radiation essentially that Wi-Fi puts off but I was so shocked when I found this at Dollar Tree and then it shows you that there's like a quick release to it and everything so it's pretty cool I can't wait to kind of like try that out and it'll be great for traveling with as well and I'm going to end our Christmas preview with two Christmas cards but when I tell you listen so cute so we've got this one with the red Cardinals it says Noel it's so pretty I'm actually loving the culmination of the baby blue with the red and then as you can see the envelopes for Christmas at Dollar Tree will be red but this is the one that you run out and get because it's so vintage and so cute like I love it I love how close Santa sleigh is like it's the focal point obviously sometimes they'll have like Santa's sleigh like this where it's like far off in the distance but the fact that we can see Santa the presence the sleigh the reindeer the moon it's snowing up there like I love this and then when you look at the illustration it it just looks vintage like the way that they drew the dolls and the teddy bear so cute and if you're new to my channel these are great to craft with so Dollar Tree cards are where it's at it they are the gems of the entire store that people people I see people actually whenever I go shopping I find that the majority of the people that walk into Dollar Tree are going for like something birthday or party related they'll hit up the party section they'll get balloons they'll get bags and they'll get a birthday card but you gotta start looking at these cards from a crafting hobby perspective because it is so fun and you should just try it which by the way while we're here my Christmas kits my mystery Christmas kids have been officially released they are live there's going to be limited to these just because these kits take up a lot of time and um I do want to still be able to like you know balance the videos the kits and while also like just me enjoying the holidays so they are limited so get yours while you can and they are linked down below their mystery kit and I cannot wait for you there's that oh here's another one another ribbon with the gold to match the little vintage set like how pretty is that I've really been like gravitating towards vintage a lot lately it's just something that feels I don't know there's something nostalgic and comforting and beautiful about it and I really have wanted to take kind of like the dining room in the entryway into a more vintage look but I don't know then I changed my mind I'm like okay I'm gonna do the whole house gingerbread who knows what I'm gonna end up doing to be honest then we have these wood shapes um these are little angels and there's that Christmas label again like how cute are these little wooden dowel looking Angels like what we have the snowflakes great for crafting great for just anything and then we have the Bells and as you can see they don't come with a string but they are giving us the hole so that they can be strong which is amazing now the Angels don't have anything like that neither do the snowflakes but there's like the hole in the center of a snowflake and then we have the gingerbread men which is my favorite so stinking cute and then we have these which I this one is a Christmas tree like Crawford Square when they showed up on the scene a couple years ago they really have been changing the game here's snowmen so cute you get eight pieces and then we have stars love that so cute and pretty random I mean it's in this haul so I'll go ahead and show it I think it should have been in the previous haul but this is just a magnetic cord storage like what what that is so cool it doesn't even just have to be for your headphones I think it could be for any of like your wires but I have been trying to switch myself off of my wireless headphones to the string ones they're just honestly better overall with um you know just the radiation essentially that Wi-Fi puts off but I was so shocked when I found this at Dollar Tree and then it shows you that there's like a quick release to it and everything so it's pretty cool I can't wait to kind of like try that out and it'll be great for traveling with as well and I'm going to end our Christmas preview with two Christmas cards but when I tell you listen so cute so we've got this one with the red Cardinals it says Noel it's so pretty I'm actually loving the culmination of the baby blue with the red and then as you can see the envelopes for Christmas at Dollar Tree will be red but this is the one that you run out and get because it's so vintage and so cute like I love it I love how close Santa sleigh is like it's the focal point obviously sometimes they'll have like Santa's sleigh like this where it's like far off in the distance but the fact that we can see Santa the presence the sleigh the reindeer the moon it's snowing up there like I love this and then when you look at the illustration it it just looks vintage like the way that they drew the dolls and the teddy bear so cute and if you're new to my channel these are great to craft with so Dollar Tree cards are where it's at it they are the gems of the entire store that people people I see people actually whenever I go shopping I find that the majority of the people that walk into Dollar Tree are going for like something birthday or party related they'll hit up the party section they'll get balloons they'll get bags and they'll get a birthday card but you gotta start looking at these cards from a crafting hobby perspective because it is so fun and you should just try it which by the way while we're here my Christmas kits my mystery Christmas kids have been officially released they are live there's going to be limited to these just because these kits take up a lot of time and um I do want to still be able to like you know balance the videos the kits and while also like just me enjoying the holidays so they are limited so get yours while you can and they are linked down below their mystery kit and I cannot wait for you
