The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Earphones: A Review

As I unboxed the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Earphones, I was immediately struck by their sleek design and premium build quality. The buds themselves are made from milled aluminum, which gives them a solid feel that's hard to ignore, especially considering the price point of $70. While the product packaging isn't exactly impressive, it's clear that OnePlus prioritized durability over aesthetics in this regard.

The earbuds come with three ear hooks and three ear tips, including a medium-sized tip that fits me comfortably out of the box. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the hooks stayed in place during my testing, which is more than I can say for some other wireless earphones on the market. The sound quality is also worth noting, particularly when compared to other earphones at this price point. While it may not be earth-shattering bass, the Bullets Wireless Earphones deliver crisp, clean sound that's perfect for everyday listening.

One of the standout features of the Bullets Wireless Earphones is their battery life. According to OnePlus, ten minutes of charging will give you 65% battery life, and after a full charge, I was able to get around seven hours of playback time with the volume at around 60%. This may not be as long-lasting as some other wireless earphones on the market, but it's certainly competitive. What really impressed me, however, was how well the earphones held up during extended use. I was able to go for over two hours without needing a recharge, which is more than I expected given the price point.

Another feature that sets the Bullets Wireless Earphones apart from the competition is their innovative energy tubes design. These supposed "energy tubes" are meant to reduce auto-distortion and improve sound quality, but I'm not entirely convinced by their effectiveness. That being said, the earphones do produce clean, crisp sound that's hard to deny. When it comes to microphone performance, however, the Bullets Wireless Earphones really shine. During a series of calls with friends, everyone was impressed by the clear, natural sound quality and even suggested that it might be better than their own phone's built-in mic.

One area where the Bullets Wireless Earphones fall short is in their charging port design. When I'm running or sweating, the exposed charging port is a bit of a concern. How will it hold up over time? Only time will tell, but for now, I'm willing to overlook this minor quibble in favor of the earphones' many strengths. Additionally, the included storage pouch could be improved – it's a nice touch, but sometimes finding space to stuff everything in there proves to be a challenge.

Finally, availability is an issue with the Bullets Wireless Earphones. Unlike most other wireless earphones on the market, which are widely available on Amazon and other retailers, OnePlus only sells these through their own website or authorized retailers. While this may limit return options for those who don't love the earphones, it's a minor trade-off considering the value they offer.

Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed by the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Earphones. After years of using my trusty backbeat fit as go-to earphones, I've finally found something that surpasses their performance – and at a fraction of the price point. While there are a few minor drawbacks to consider, the Bullets Wireless Earphones are an absolute steal for anyone looking for high-quality wireless earphones without breaking the bank.

I'm getting around 7 half hoursSo this is with the volume at around 60% if you're going running and need to crank it up if you're in like high trafficOr something like that. It's gonna be reduced but the eight hours estimated battery lifeI'd say is reasonably accurate and I really like the USBC charging. It just brings you one step closer to being free ofmicroUSB, which I'm pretty sick of in 2018Ok, other features the button like the play/pause button if you long press itIt'll launch Google assistant and I thought it would be coolBut there's too much of a delay like when you press itIt takes about a second maybe a second half before you'll actually hear that toneso it's cool andusable if you need but I wouldn't consider to be like a game changer or anything and if you're connected to an iPhone it willLaunch Siri instead of the Google assistant. So, the microphone is good. I made a few calls with itAnd everyone said it sounded clean it might even sound better than your phone's built-in mic depending on the phone that you haveThe earbuds are magnetic and the magnetic interaction between the two sides can pause and unpause musicIt'll pause music on any phone like pixel two XL,iPhone 10 doesn't matter where you're using if those buds snap together, it'll pause the music but resuming music is differentIt does need to be the one plus five or the one plus six and it may not sound like a killer featureBut it's just something that I really enjoy the ability to just pause your music when you clip your earbuds togetherso, I like these wireless earphones way better than I thought it would and I actually liked them better thanBasically any other wireless earphones that I've used so I like them more than the jaybird freedomsI like them more than my previous top pick thePlantronics backbeat fit and I definitely liked them more than the beats X from AppleSo the beats X wireless earphones have a lot in common with the bullets wireless earphoneSo I'm just gonna be straight upI think thatone plus ripped-offThis design from the beats x to the point where just there's so much similarity in function and design to the control mechanismThat being said these are $100. It doesn't require a proprietary lightning cableIt just doesn't have a pretty box when you unbox it and it also only comes in this black and red color where as the beatsX comes in a whole bunch of colorsso the price is what is probably the most attractive thing about the bullets Wireless for $70 or getting a product that iscomparable todevices that are double the price if not more and the main thing is I'm not seeing any $70 wireless earphones that are better thanThese so there are so a few things that I don't love about itI wish the charging port was covered like when you're running and you're sweating that port is justExposed so I don't know how that'll hold up over time.
