OnePlus Icons Earphones Unboxing & Review

**Unboxing and First Impressions: OnePlus Icon Earphones**

The earphones themselves are impressive to look at, with a sleek and angular design that exudes premium quality. The left and right markings are clearly visible, along with a three-button layout that includes a plus-minus button for volume control and a single button to take or end calls. The microphone is also well-positioned, with the OnePlus branding prominently displayed. The braided cable is sturdy and should last for a long time, while the ear tips provide a comfortable fit.

As I've had the opportunity to use these earphones for a week, I can confidently say that they are very comfortable to wear. They're not heavy at all, making them perfect for extended listening sessions or daily commutes. The sound quality is also impressive, with excellent clarity in vocals and treble. However, it's worth noting that the bass is not overemphasized, which may be a drawback for those who prioritize deep bass notes.

**Comparing with Other Earphones**

When comparing these earphones to other popular models, they hold their own surprisingly well. I tested them against the Audio-Technica CLR 100, which is one of the cheapest options on the market. While the CLR 100 has its own strengths, the OnePlus Icon Earphones ultimately sound better due to their superior clarity and overall sound signature.

Next, I compared them to the Sisir CX 180, another popular earphone in the affordable price range. The Sisirs CX 180 are known for their clear sound, but they fall short of the OnePlus Icon Earphones in terms of overall quality. Finally, I tested them against the Bose SoundTrue, a high-end option that boasts excellent sound quality. While the Bose SoundTrue do outperform the OnePlus Icon Earphones in some areas, the latter ultimately provide better value for money.

**High-End Competition: RHA and Others**

When it comes to truly premium earphones, the OnePlus Icon Earphones hold their own against even the best options on the market. I've had the opportunity to test them against the RHA TWS 640, a high-end option that costs around $50. While the RHA do outperform the OnePlus Icon Earphones in some areas, such as bass response, they ultimately fall short due to their higher price point.

**Conclusion and Rating**

Overall, I would rate the OnePlus Icon Earphones 4 out of 5 stars. They offer excellent sound quality, comfort, and value for money, making them a compelling choice for anyone looking for a high-quality earphone without breaking the bank. However, as with any product, there are caveats – those who prioritize deep bass notes may find these earphones lacking in that department.

For around $3,000 (or 25,000 INR), I believe these earphones offer excellent value. They're certainly not perfect, but their flaws are minor compared to the overall quality and performance they provide. If you're considering purchasing these earphones, I highly recommend them – just be aware that tweaking the audio equalizer may improve sound quality further.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranjit and in this video we'll be doing the unboxing and review for this OnePlus icon year phones in us they retail for $50 but here in India uh they are sold via Amazon India for uh 3,000 rupe and uh as you can see it gives us some basic specs uh it actually has a 11 mm driver and it says that the impedence is 32 ohms and and uh the speaker sensitivity is 110 DB and this is the graphite variant we also have a gold variant so let's open this up and uh see so again as usual it's a OnePlus product the packaging is actually very good as you can see uh let's just open this up and it's very neatly presented uh so we also have this let's uh have a look at this this is just a carrying pouch so they have given this and this is magnetic as you can see it just latches on so that's a nice touch uh we also get a mini uh manual to give you an idea about the earphones and these are the earphones itself and as you can see we also have extra ear tips that we get actually one pair should be pre-installed and we also have two so total of three so these are the earphones itself let's take this out so here is the earphones itself again uh they look heavy but they're not heavy uh it is pretty lightly let me actually zoom in to show you and they have the OnePlus branding and they are angular in nature as you can see uh so it has the left and right marking and uh it also has a three button layout that is plus minus and one button to take or end calls and we also have a microphone over here with the OnePlus branding and uh the cable quality is good uh this is braided cable so it should last for a long time and uh uh this is the ear tips so what I'll be doing is I'll be testing this earphones and the later part of the video share my experience with you guys now I have used these OnePlus icons for a week or so and as you can see I also have quite a few other earphon so I'll be comparing these icon earphones with them but let's just clean up the desk so here are the OnePlus icon earphones and uh what I really liked about them is that uh they're very comfortable they're very light uh so it does not feel heavy and you can wear them for hours and hours and they're very comfortable also uh when we talk about the sound quality overall I would say the sound quality was also very good but definitely it is not for Basse heads the bass is not overemphasized so if you are a person who likes or paring Bas then these are not for you but in terms of vocals and treble they perform excellent and they have excellent Clarity in my opinion also this inline remote actually worked very well uh you can adjust the volume up and down with that and that worked on a couple of Android phones that I tested also it has a microphone and I was able to take calls using that so I actually like the overall sound signature uh but again as I've told you it is not for the base heads and in fact I would say I got a better sound signature when I actually tweaked the equalizer for example I kept it on Rock uh and that way I got a better sound signature rather than keeping it on flat now to compare it with the other earphones let's start with the cheapest one that I have uh this is the Audio Technica CLR 100 and I really love these earphones uh because of the clarity uh but I have to say in terms of clarity these uh icons are better but again we just simply can't compare because the cost of this is just around 650 rupees but this cost around 3,000 rupees but if you don't take price into account yes these icons sound better now uh these are also very popular these are the siser CX 180 and definitely uh these icons sound way better in fact these audio Technic CLR are better than the sisers cx10 I also have this popular me uh in your headphones uh these are the ones and they sell for around 1,000 rupees and definitely these icons are way way better uh they offer a lot more clarity in terms uh if we compare it with this Mi earphones but the MI phones I I think so have slightly emphasized base but in terms of clarity they stand uh these icons are way better now if we move to some other high-end earphones for example I also have this Bose sound true and I feel uh these icons do perform better than the both sound true earphones I also have these very high-end earphones these are from RHA it's not even fair to compare with them because uh these are the ones and these cost around 14,500 and definitely these sound much better but considering the price point I would say uh these sell in India for around 3,000 rupees and uh in other countries they are selling it for $50 I feel they sound actually very good uh for the price but again I feel the base is a little bit lacking so if you are a sort of a base head then you would not like these earphones and I would say I would rate it 4 out of five if I would have to rate them and definitely I would say considering the price point these are one of my favorite uh earphones now for around the 3,000 price point but again as I've told you if you are sort of a base head then this is not for you again I could get a very good sound signature by tweaking the audio equalizer so if you can do that uh then you can have a look at this uh OnePlus icon earphones again make sure you check out the playlist I have reviews for all these other earphones also that I have
