Huawei Nova and Nova Plus - Hands On IFA 2016

Introducing the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus: A Perfect Balance of Size and Style

For those who want a phone with a sensible size battery but don't want it to be gigantic, Huawei has come up with a new set of smartphones that might interest you. The Huawei Nova and Nova Plus are two devices that promise to deliver a cool looking device with great camera capabilities, plenty of processing power, and a sleek design that can fit easily in your jeans pocket.

The Smaller Huawei Nova: A Compact Powerhouse

Let's take a closer look at the smaller of the two devices, the Huawei Nova. This phone has a 5-inch 1080P LCD screen, which is quite compact but still packs a punch when it comes to display quality. The screen is topped with a 2.5D glass panel that gives it a curved edge, which runs into a metal unibody on the rear. The device also features a fingerprint sensor and NFC for Android Pay, making it convenient for mobile payments.

The camera on the Huawei Nova is one of its standout features. It has a 12-megapixel sensor that can capture high-quality images, perfect for social media enthusiasts who want to share their photos with friends and family. The processor inside is still pretty strong, thanks to the Snapdragon 625, which provides 30% more battery life than the previous generation of processors.

The Huawei Nova also comes with 3GB of RAM, one of those excellent hybrid SIM slots that allow you to insert another SIM card or a Micro SD card to boost storage space. Android 6.0 runs underneath Huawei's EMUI user interface, and the phone is powered by a battery that lasts for approximately 2 days, according to Huawei.

The Design: A Sleek and Stylish Device

One of the things we like about the Huawei Nova is its design. It has a sleek and slender build that makes it easy to slip into your jeans pocket. The device's metal unibody and 2.5D glass panel give it a premium look, making it stand out from other devices in its class.

However, some might find that the specs and size of the Huawei Nova are a bit low compared to other phones on the market. If you're looking for more power or larger screens, the Nova might not be the best option.

The Larger Huawei Nova Plus: More Power and Features

So, what about the larger Huawei Nova Plus? This device has a 5.5-inch 1080P screen, which is slightly bigger than the smaller Huawei Nova. However, it still runs Android 6.0 with EMUI 4.1 user interface on top, making it easy to navigate and use.

The camera on the Nova Plus is also improved, thanks to its 16-megapixel sensor that provides better image quality compared to the 12-megapixel sensor in the smaller device. The processor inside is still strong, thanks to the Snapdragon 625, which provides similar battery life benefits as before.

One of the standout features of the Nova Plus is its design on the rear. It has a raised camera module at the top that gives it a slightly different look compared to the smaller Huawei Nova. However, this doesn't affect the overall feel and build quality of the device.

The Battery Life: How Long Can You Use Your Phone?

One of the things we like about both devices is their battery life. According to Huawei, the Huawei Nova can last for approximately 2 days, while the Nova Plus promises a bit longer battery life, thanks to its slightly larger screen and improved camera sensor.

However, it's worth noting that battery life will vary depending on how you use your phone. If you're a heavy user who spends most of their time playing games or browsing the internet, you might not get 2 days out of your device.

Competition from Honor: How Do the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus Compare?

The Huawei Nova and Nova Plus are part of Huawei's ongoing efforts to compete with other smartphone manufacturers, including Honor. Honor is known for making high-quality devices that are both stylish and affordable, so we're curious to see how the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus compare.

Based on what we've seen so far, it seems that the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus offer a great balance of size, style, and performance. However, we'll have to wait until the official launch date to see how they stack up against other devices in their class.

says this will run for 2 days inside the Huawei Nova which is pretty good by most standards we quite like the design of this phone but the the specs and the size may be a little bit low so what you this is even bigger 3,340 M Mah hours now that translate into a little bit longer perhaps 2 and 1/2 days the most you'll get out of this but still that's pretty good for a 5.5 in smartphone with an
