This OfferUp seller was CONFIDENT I wouldn't steal from him.

A Brief Encounter: The Green Screen Meetup Experience

As I stood outside the designated pickup location, I couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. What if this was all just a ruse? What if the person on the other end was not who they claimed to be? I had done my research, scoured the internet for reviews and testimonials from previous customers, and even considered asking a friend or two to come along for moral support. But in the end, I decided to trust my instincts and meet this stranger in person.

The moment of truth arrived when the seller, who claimed to be a bit younger than he let on, emerged from the house with a large envelope containing the green screen test. I was relieved to see that it looked exactly as promised – a high-quality, smooth surface that seemed perfect for filming. The seller explained that he had put the screen on the grass, which seemed like an odd choice at first, but I suppose it's not entirely impractical.

We discussed the price, which had been negotiable from the start, and I was happy to find that we had come to a mutually agreeable figure. The transaction itself was surprisingly straightforward – the seller handed me the envelope with the money inside, and I handed over the cash. I must admit, I was a bit surprised by how easy it all went. The only awkward moment came when the seller mentioned that he wasn't available to meet in person due to some sort of family obligation.

As we parted ways, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. It had turned out to be a much more pleasant experience than I had anticipated – no weird run-ins or awkward encounters. Just a simple, straightforward meetup that went off without a hitch. The green screen itself looked and felt exactly as promised, and I was excited to put it to use in my own filmmaking endeavors.

In hindsight, I think the only reason why this meetup seemed so unusual is because of my own preconceptions. I had built up a mental image of this encounter based on my research – maybe the seller would be some shady character who tried to scam me out of my money. But in reality, it was just a normal transaction between two people who had met online and were willing to part with their hard-earned cash for a product they believed in.

Theories Abound

As I reflected on the encounter, I couldn't help but spin off into all sorts of wild theories about why the seller didn't want me to meet up in person. Maybe he was quarantining – had some sort of illness or virus that made him too sick to leave his house? Or perhaps he was younger and his parents were out of the picture, so he wanted to keep things low-key by avoiding face-to-face interactions.

Another theory that came to mind was that the seller didn't want me to meet up in person because he wanted to test out the product without having to deal with any potential issues. Maybe he had some reservations about how I would handle the green screen, or perhaps he simply wanted to keep things tidy by avoiding any potential misunderstandings.

But as I weighed these theories against my own experiences and observations, it seemed clear that none of them were particularly plausible. The most likely explanation was simple – the seller just wasn't home at the time we agreed to meet, and someone else had stepped in to facilitate the transaction.

A Lesson Learned

In the end, I'm glad I decided to meet this stranger in person. Sure, there were some awkward moments, but they were minor compared to the relief of having a successful encounter. And as for the green screen itself? It looks and feels amazing – smooth, high-quality surface that seems perfect for filming.

As I drove home with my new purchase, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the experience. It had been a chance to test my instincts and meet someone new in person – not an easy feat, especially when you're dealing with strangers online. But in the end, it all worked out – and I was left with a valuable lesson about trusting your instincts and being open-minded.

The Pickup Experience: A Look Back

Looking back on this encounter, I'm struck by how straightforward and normal it ended up being. None of the weirdness or tension that I had anticipated materialized – just a simple meetup between two people who had met online and were willing to part with their hard-earned cash for a product they believed in.

Of course, there was one thing that did stand out as a bit odd – the choice of where to put the green screen. I mean, why on the grass? Why not on a surface like a deck or porch, which would have made it easier to access and more practical for filming?

But in retrospect, it's probably just a matter of personal preference. Maybe the seller had some reason for choosing the grass, which is lost on me now. All I know is that it looked great once it was up – smooth, high-quality surface that seemed perfect for filming.

My Thoughts on Green Screens

As I put my new green screen to use in my own filmmaking endeavors, I couldn't help but think about how much I appreciate its quality and versatility. This thing looks and feels amazing – a high-quality, smooth surface that seems perfect for capturing footage.

I've been experimenting with different filming techniques, using the green screen as the backdrop for some of my projects. The results are nothing short of stunning – crisp, clear images that seem almost otherworldly in their quality.

Of course, there's one potential downside to using a green screen like this – it can be a bit finicky when it comes to lighting. You need to get just the right balance of shadows and highlights in order to avoid any artifacts or imperfections.

But overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with my new purchase. It's been a game-changer for me as a filmmaker – giving me the tools and flexibility I need to create high-quality footage that will really wow my audience.

clicking on the links in the description below so a couple of days ago i started looking into green screens on amazon i'm actually wanting to integrate green screens into my content more whether it be for like reaction type videos or when i start streaming more which i do plan on doing more soon so i want a legit green screen that has a good tone that light won't shine through and that is easy for me to set up and take down and store on amazon there are a ton of these but the most well-known one is probably going to be the one from elgato and that goes for around 160 dollars after tax that's going to be about 176 dollars 176 dollars is a lot so then i go over on offer up and i take a look i did find someone who is selling one and it's this person who's not too far away from me and he actually has the elgato green screen and according to the pictures it actually looks like he's in good condition he looks like he originally listed it a month ago for 150 but it didn't sell so he lowered it to 140 and it's still up so it hasn't sold yet i messaged him asking if he would take a hundred dollars for it i know it's a little bit of a low ball but this is one of those things where it's probably taking up space and he's just trying to get rid of and get any money he can recruit back so i shot him the 100 offer and up until that offer he was responding relatively quickly but then as soon as i dropped that offer he didn't respond for the rest of the night i thought he was basically ignoring me because i low-balled him and that's totally a reasonable thing to do i've completely ignored people who sent ridiculous low balls before so it's whatever but then earlier today he responds back and he says okay so i tell him where i was located and i'm not too far away and my availability and he says that should work i can put it outside in the driveway try it out and leave the money on the bench sounds good i would never trust someone to come buy something from me and expect them to leave the cash and even if they were trustworthy or honest anyone walking by if they see money there who's to stop them from running up and grabbing it so this sounds really strange to me i don't want him to contact me back and say hey you never left the money if someone else came up and grabbed it i don't want him to leave me a bad off-road review or anything like that so i tell them yeah that works can i get the address and i can venmo slash paypal if you'd rather do that seems unsafe to leave money out in case someone sees me doing that and comes and takes it afterward right like you would agree right good point you can put it inside the mailbox in an envelope i'm not sure if that's that much better because if someone sees me come and take something from this person's house and then leave an envelope in the mailbox they could assume that's money and come up and take it anyways something's just weird about this i don't wanna ask whatever i'll do that i'm gonna record the whole thing so that i have proof that i will drop him the money off i'll show him the footage if it ends up getting stolen because it's not gonna be my fault uh but yeah he gave me the address i'm gonna go pick this up and we'll see how this works out i got the 100 bill blank envelope it's in here let's go pick up this green screen test it out and if it's good i will leave this money and take the green screen so i've got a couple of theories as to why he doesn't want me in person i don't know why i don't just ask but he may be quarantining he might be sick or something or might actually have cobia the second theory is that he might be younger and uh like his parents don't know that he's doing this or selling things so uh he wants to do it where you know he doesn't actually meet up with me in person and just does the trade like this the third theory which probably is the most likely is he's just not home right now and maybe one of his roommates or his parents or someone else who's at the house he asked them to put it out so that you know i could grab this the only reason i don't like this theory is because why would he want the money to be just left out you know or put in the mailbox why not have that person who is putting this out for me to test out and then pick up why not just have me give them the money so it's safe so yeah those are the theories i don't know none of them seem to really make sense so yeah i'll probably have to ask him after i get it he also said he put the green screen on the grass i feel like that's a really odd place to put it like why not put it on like the driveway you know like a hard surface or like on the deck or porch or something like that i don't know it just seems weird but we'll see looks like we're here and i do see it on the grass how does it look hello it looks good uh just as expected was he not available to to meet up to sell oh i'm his wife he's kind of he's out of channel right now i see okay can i just give you the money then okay yeah i mean it looks good it it works yeah i didn't i just didn't want to leave it out so like someone could take it so no no problem all right yep thank you so so it looks like theory three was the correct one but um anyways it all worked out uh the green screen looks good i'm actually really happy with how it goes up and down i didn't think it would be that smooth and easy and like effortless so i'm excited to get it home and maybe i'll shoot some quick green screen stuff but um yeah let's get home now okay google directions home yeah that's gonna wrap it up for this video though the meetup wasn't as weird as i initially thought going in it's just a case of poor communication uh this green screen i really wanted to pick it up even though i i still think a hundred dollars is still a little bit pricey considering you can just get cloth and just like rig something up but this is something that i do want to start getting more into so i'm okay with doing or putting the best way into this especially considering this is a pretty specialty item this isn't something that i would imagine popping up on craigslist or offer up all too often so when i saw this and i was able to get the price down i just had to jump on it so yeah let me know down below if you had any weird run-ins with people in your local market um some actual weird run is not like this one where you thought it would be weird and it should not be normal uh but yeah let me know about that as well as any cool pickups that you have gotten recently whether it be pc hardware stuff like this or something even unrelated other than that i will see you all down in the comments as well as in the next video byeso this is gonna be a little bit of a strange video because i'm gonna be
