I know what you're thinking, I've brought a knife to a gunfight this isn't even a real M car that seven one three five by but I've been a bit sneaky because this is a heavily modified m135i has been tuned by a company called Birds up to its B1 specification well Danielle lead to the left in someone series my road to the right in his own car this should walk it it's got 550 odd brake horsepower it's got 500 pounds foot from 1800 rpm this car 414 horsepower 420 PS and it is a proper bespoke engine redline 8400 rpm and it makes its peak power 8,300 rpm there last week we were all been crazy because we were in a gt3 that made it maximum power eight thousand six hundred rpm so we bought this car for about seventeen thousand pounds and spent seven or eight thousand pounds on it so it's a twenty five grand car like the other two that Birds have up rates are just about everything on this car they've fitted new bespoke suspension they've fitted a quafe LSD but more importantly for today they've also remapped the engine up to 390 horsepower which in a small car like this is a huge amount it's also got 420 pound-feet of torque that's 125 pound foot more than the M3 my car is completely standard expected.

The Breakers: A Look at the BMW M5 and Its Engine

BMW cut the front two cylinders off okay they're bespoke ECU that makes two hundred million calculations a second I didn't make that up 200 million calculations a second and it's a proper four-spoke motor sport engine he's got manual he's nobody's launch because this car is the 4.4 litre twin-turbocharged v8 she's gonna win isn't it just ease I don't know why they're here really other than one they're gonna bother get to the end of e to the end 11 now then I'm gonna wake up they might arrive okay it's way down on power on the M5 but it's almost 500 kilograms lighter don't write off the m135i just yet right I think that Matt is gonna win this and we're off.

Short Shift: The Starting Line

Short shift from first second because there is so much of comma baby here we go Matt's gone already got decent Lodge but look at that M5 go there is so much of these two aspects in the distance though the little m135i it's keeping the M3 very very honest and is probably too too many free cards behind but Matt is 10 columns ahead for a trips more than 7 hours to do this engine when you let it why be so fast so fast Wow tell you what there was not very much in it between let's be honest that was pretty one-sided chaps.

The Big Finish: A Look Back at the Results

It was convincing when I was amazed how convincing is I still can't quite believe that that isn't tuned because it was so fast all the way through the rev range it's off the scope I suspected it would wane over the half mile but it's really heavy I didn't think it would put its power down and yet still it got off the line well and then it just disappeared yeah all the way through it just feels strong all the way through the rev range and I thought it would win but you two were just specks in the mirrors going yeah and in terms of positioning it can't have finished exactly how I thought he was kind of thing I knew that would win it's got you know 550 560 horsepower but I wasn't sure about Dan's car but when unknown because modified I beat it yeah I'm quite I'm quite pleased at not why loads by pretty chill free call-outs but nevertheless I beat it and therefore we all agreed aren't we're all agreed that it's a moral victory for the Oman no no no no no you lost how is it a moral victory than losing a real em car is it and yet it almost had your m3 no in it was the quickest em car you can get with you all 25 grand yeah
