video on it this is a 40 PC case that I think is pretty sweet for the price meet the rage and Tech Arcadia 3 high-end showcase ATX chassis I'm not sure I would go that far but judging by the fact that it's already sold out on Amazon as of time of filming I'd say a lot of folks found it to be a decent value proposition so in this video we're going to unbox the Arcadia 3 obviously we're going to build in the Arcadia 3 and then I'm going to tell you what I think for the dollar spent I imagine for 40 bucks I'm going to be pleasantly surprised you can't expect too much in the way of a 40 case budget but there were a few things going for it on paper that made me buy it first off it comes with a left side tempered glass panel which is nice not crappy you know just cheap acrylic it comes with a high airflow front panel and it's an ATX case not an matx one like most of its 40 or below counterparts on sites like Newegg and Amazon so I thought it fit the bill and I thought it would very least be something we could indulge ourselves in while other things continue climbing in price like everything else in the tech space except for maybe Ram ddr4 has gotten a lot cheaper lately and has ddr5 although we kind of saw that coming but I wonder if that's going to last are you ready stay with me so look here fellas if you're building a PC or maybe you've already built one and you're worried tinted and I am a huge fan I mean at the very least you get this prominent black border which does help clean the look up a bit covers up some of the case cutouts and things beneath here's that lovely Airy front panel I mentioned a bit earlier it does look a bit restrictive on the dust filter side of things so that is removable if you're willing to risk a bit of dust incursion you want to say camera two okay stay right there okay ready pretty good buddy I want to ask you a question okay do you like this case yeah it's pretty cool huh I like this whole case yeah I see all the holes in it so that's pretty cool can a fan go under here uh yeah you put a power supply down there oh yeah this is where the fence goes yeah you can put some fans up there yes so there's uh only one fan that's one of the only real downsides here but again and for 40 bucks I can't really be too critical but not all is sunshine and rainbows the Arcadia 3 has some glaring omissions and uh well for its price point I guess we shouldn't be all that surprised firstly the single use rear slot covers once you take these things out you ain't gonna be able to put them back in so keep that in mind the front panel includes only a single USB 3.0 type a port you get two 2.0 ports which uh I don't know that's a bit lackluster you also do not have rubber grommets in this case so it will be a little more difficult to make things look nice and clean in here surprisingly though I don't expect Cable Management to be too difficult we have just under an inch of clearance behind the motherboard tray that's pretty solid for a case this cheap let's go ahead and kick off the build then with a platform assembly we're gonna stick with am4 here I've got a ryzen 5 5500 which you can find for a very good price I figured it's a cheaper case so why not stick with a more value oriented platform and think 500 is definitely a value CPU but we'll still get the job done for a lot of modern titles we'll get this in here we'll get 16 gigs of Corsair a low profile ddr4 in here and then probably the stock cooler since I don't think this Chip is going to need much in the way of well beefy Overkill cooling I also want to take a minute to shout out gigabyte for sending so many of their Elite b550 motherboards for videos like this one for giveaways and also for fix or flops when we have defective motherboards boards that need to be repaired or replaced we swap in boards like these and it's just a huge help a huge Time Saver for myself and for the viewer in question all right all right how about something a bit beefier an ID cooling SC 226 XT black Kali the names are just getting a bit crazy nowadays but I actually use this cooler personally in my editing rig for good while it was a bit underwhelming for a 13 900k actually a lot underwhelming but for a 5500 this will be more than enough and it'll look pretty darn good at that so the cooler install we can now swing this bad boy into position we have an integrated Rio Shield which is super nice and this is just going to sit see something like this here I don't want the fan cable to get snagged on the shield while we're installing this that's why I'm being careful the basics are now wired up you can see how clean it already looks we don't even have our graphics card in here or our power supply speaking of let's tackle that next we have an EVGA 500 watt unit going in here and I know this one's not anything super fancy it's just an 80 plus bronze unit should be plenty of wattage for this combination of hardware and no you do not need an a tier list power supply and a five six seven hundred dollar budget gaming PC makes zero sense don't let the elitist tell you otherwise for storage we're gonna go with a one terabyte t-force Delta Max RGB SSD from Team group the RGB is of course totally optional you won't see it in the case we're using here but uh still looks pretty good and one terabytes plenty for a starter rig well okay that's not entirely true if you play something like cod Warzone that could take up the entire drive by itself you know I've got to say I am pleasantly surprised by how much I'm enjoying building in the Arcadia I think rage in Tech did a great job especially for the price this is about as good as it's probably going to get I would love to see rubber grommets in this but again I'm not expecting that in a 40 or even sub 40 case the fact that uh that I don't have any real glaring issues staring me in the face is pretty darn impressive just a few more zip ties here and then we'll clip things down I think we'll be ready after this to get our graphics card in here which I haven't actually decided what that's going to be at it definitely has to complement the platforms nothing too Overkill maybe like an RTX 2060 30 60 somewhere in that ballpark if I have an RX 5700x oh I do I have an RX 5700 XT a red devil that would be sweet in here so this is how things look behind the motherboard tray when it's all said and done I think that's totally fine for a 40 case and uh yeah looking a bit Bleak on the other side like something's missing how about the beefcase the big strongest the RX 5700 XT Red Devil in my opinion one of the best designed best looking and best performing RX 5700 xt's on the market that you can buy used today this is a car that I've had since new and it's just been sitting in the closet I think this would be the perfect addition to this gaming PC let's see how easy this right side panel slides in on the Arcadia 3 now that everything is in there and there's no way it was that easy just under an inch of clearance back here that was a breeze folks granted we don't have custom cables we don't have like 10 drives back here but that was the easiest I think I've ever slid on a right side panel especially in a case this cheap the Moment of Truth has arrived will this power on uh I sure hope so power on at the rear power on up front a good sign you can see the red LEDs in the Red Devil 5700 XT really again like the way this card looks I cannot say that enough it just completes this build and speaking of completion I know you're probably you're probably longing for a few extra fans in this rig and that would be a very quick addition um I thought about doing it but I honestly am not concerned at all about temperatures in this rig just because the 5500 is going to be sipping on Power and honestly this 5700 XT is also going to be quite cool relatively speaking because of how large its heatsink is and we have a perforated front panel but whoever ends up winning this PC I know you saw the thumbnail that's coming in a minute will very easily be able to add a few fans if they so desire you can hear the system sounds like it's stable now looks like we've got a post I'm confirming that on my own system with the capture card that this is connected to we're going to get windows installed I've got a thumb drive you see here we've got windows on that so we'll load it up and get it activated and then we can talk about how we're going to give this thing away so you've just finished building your shiny new pc now you need to activate Windows this is super straightforward if you've already purchased your key from a bit earlier in the video you can simply click here this will reveal your key and if you're on the same machine you're activating you can simply copy and paste this if you're typing this in on a different machine make sure you type it in correctly don't confuse o's with zeros Etc and to get to the activate tab within Windows simply PC I know you saw the thumbnail that's coming in a minute will very easily be able to add a few fans if they so desire you can hear the system sounds like it's stable now looks like we've got a post I'm confirming that on my own system with the capture card that this is connected to we're going to get windows installed I've got a thumb drive you see here we've got windows on that so we'll load it up and get it activated and then we can talk about how we're going to give this thing away so you've just finished building your shiny new pc now you need to activate Windows this is super straightforward if you've already purchased your key from a bit earlier in the video you can simply click here this will reveal your key and if you're on the same machine you're activating you can simply copy and paste this if you're typing this in on a different machine make sure you type it in correctly don't confuse o's with zeros Etc and to get to the activate tab within Windows simply click the search tab at the bottom and type in activate click enter and you'll see this prompt then click change or add product key go ahead and give it a whirl and then click activate it'll take a few minutes more than likely to get things sorted and then you should see that watermark on your screen totally disappear it's also worth noting one of the reasons why these keys are cheaper than the retail counterparts is that they lock to the hardware in question OEM Keys tend to ship with pre-built a lot of times and folks aren't actively swapping out say motherboards or CPUs in them and that's going to be Plug and Play which is great the only issue now is uh well what home does it go to it doesn't have a home currently and to decide that I'm going to do something I've never done before I'm going to give this away on our public Discord server which mind you is totally free to join that's I'm going to swing into the yeah General voice chat I'm just going to join General VC and I'm just going to hang out in there until somebody joins with me and that person if they're willing to will share their screen and I'm going to ask them to sign into YouTube and if they're subscribed to me with that account on YouTube then they'll win the PC if they're not subscribed I don't know why you wouldn't be subscribed if you were in our Discord server but whatever then tough noodles you don't folks on Discord already are if you're not I'm going to go into the corner over there and cry also while we're waiting I want to make it clear that uh no the admins do not count I think will knows and so no will doesn't count um anyone who's verified already a tech YouTuber or something like that someone who works in the industry they don't count I want just the you know run-of-the-mill viewer that really sounds degrading I don't know how else to word that I want someone who's not already affiliated with the industry to win this so just wanted to get that out there I wonder if folks are just like looking at me in voice chat and just wondering what the heck I'm doing they probably think I'm some loner I just like hanging out by myself I think I'm gonna play some Pokemon while we wait don't anything but uh it's got a 5700 XT in it ryzen 5 500 so it's a pretty sweet little little gaming rig and uh yeah that was all I wanted this entire time I was sitting in voice chat just waiting for somebody to uh for somebody to join so um by yourself I was wondering I was like yep yep that was all that was all I was just I was I know it was really out of the ordinary and not something I usually do just hanging out by myself in voice chat but um but yeah I know I wanted to kind of give back to the Discord community and and throw out a giveaway here kind of unsolicited and just uh pick
