THE NIGHTINGALE BY KRISTIN HANNAH [BOOK REVIEW!!!]

The Nightingale: A Powerful and Emotional Read

As I sat down to write this article, I have to admit that I was hesitant. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah is a book that deals with some of the darkest themes of World War II, including war, loss, and survival. I'm not a big fan of historical fiction, but my friend's recommendation to read it convinced me to give it a try. And let me tell you, I'm so glad I did.

If you're also not a huge fan of historical fiction, don't be afraid to pick up this book. Lay aside your reservations and get ready for an emotional ride that will leave you breathless. Trust me when I say that this book is worth every second of the time it takes to read it. The Nightingale is a beautifully written story that shows you the strength and courage of women during wartime, and it's absolutely breathtaking.

The author's writing style is effortless and engaging, making it easy to get lost in the world she creates. You'll feel for these characters so much that you can almost imagine yourself in their shoes, experiencing the same emotions they do. The scariness and brutality of war are on full display here, but the strength and resilience of the human spirit shine through as well.

As I read through this book, I found myself getting chills down my spine more often than not. There were moments where I was literally crying tears of sadness and joy, feeling like a part of me had been ripped out. The characters are so real, so fleshed-out that you'll want to meet them in person (I'm still thinking about this book days later, and it's had a lasting impact on me).

Kristin Hannah has done an incredible job of weaving together the stories of these two women, each with their own unique struggles and triumphs. The way she brings them to life is nothing short of magic. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll feel like you're right there with them as they navigate the treacherous landscape of war.

One thing that struck me most about this book was its portrayal of the woman's side of World War II history. It's a side that's often overlooked or underrepresented in popular culture, but Hannah shines a light on it here. You'll see the strength and courage of women during wartime, and you'll be amazed by their resilience.

I don't want to give too much away, but I will say this: The Nightingale is a book that will make you think. It's a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope. And it's a testament to the human spirit's ability to persevere in the face of unimaginable adversity.

As I closed the book for the final time, I felt like I was saying goodbye to two incredible women who had become like family to me. It was bittersweet, and it left me feeling a little lost without them. But that's the power of this book – it has the ability to break your heart and mend it at the same time.

So, if you're hesitant to read The Nightingale, I urge you to give it a try. Don't let the length scare you off; this book flies by in no time. And trust me when I say that it's worth every second of the time it takes to read it. It's one of those books that will leave you changed forever, and for that alone, it's well worth your time.

If you're looking for a historical fiction recommendation from someone who's been impacted by this book, look no further. The Nightingale is Kristen Hannah's masterpiece, and I'm so glad I got to experience it for myself. And if you've read any of her other books, please let me know which one to read next – I'm eager to dive into her work!

In conclusion, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah is a must-read for anyone who loves historical fiction or is looking for a powerful and emotional story. It's a book that will make you laugh, cry, and think all at the same time. So grab a box of tissues, settle in, and get ready to be transported to a world of drama, loss, and survival during wartime.

you guys have heard about this book this book got released I want to say a couple years ago and it quickly took the book world by storm like a lot of people loved it like for example with the Goodreads best historical novel of the year People's Choice favourite fiction winner so small stuff so this book has been really acclaimed really hyped for the entirety of its release and I had bought it a few months ago on the whim I saw I've heard a lot about it maybe I'll read it and I never thought I would read it and this month I decided to read it and wow it was amazing this is a hight book that is a hundred percent for short but do I think it's worth every ounce of the height yes I do this book was amazing this book is my favorite book of the year by far and it's only February but I don't think another books gonna replace this book this year honestly it's one of my favorite books of all time this book also made me cry more than any other book I have ever read like I'm talking about like I wasn't sobbing uncontrollably it was I'm a crier just tears were streaming down your face constantly like I never was like I couldn't catch my breath you know you get those type of cries it was long I just felt all of the feelings and just tears were like by the time I looked at myself in the mirror like my mascara was everywhere I looked like a hot mess I felt like a hot mess but this book was worth every second I thought this book really affected me so much like in a really deep and personal level like a got inside of my core and will never leave I dream about this book and it's been a few days and I've finished it I think about it still constantly like is a good book so with this video I don't think I'm gonna spoil a ton of it because I think a lot of people don't want to hear about the spoilers they just want to hear if they would be interested in reading this book or not which is what I decided to do for you this video as well so I'm gonna say what this book is about I'm gonna show you what I've thought about it overall my star rating what you always you can do and whether I think you would enjoy it it depends a lot on a tank your personal preference but yeah there's a chance I might spoil it right now probably not this book takes place during World War two in France so I think a lot of books a center a lot about the US history a lot about the German this one really takes place in France and we follow two sisters our main protagonist throughout this book and their name or Vian hopefully I pronounced that right Isabelle and these two sisters are very very different but more hits and it brings them closer yet farther apart together so basically the whole general notion of this book is world war two in France we're getting a really French perspective of how it was like living in France when the Germans took over and there was no free land and the Nazis came and Jews and all the horrible horrific things that happen reward - I'm not gonna sugarcoat it for you this book is hard to read there's several parts of it that you just can't fathom of things that have happened in the past but you know that happened because you know if the war was brutal it was horrible these people in particular main characters went through so many things that I personally I don't think I could lift through honestly and it just shows you how brutal and how horrific war is and what it does to a family what it does to people what it does a mother's children's anybody how it affects them and this book just really puts you right into the heart of it and just really opened Reister a lot of things that you know happen but you never really read a lot of detail these two sisters VNL who was the older one and Isabelle who was their polar opposites I mean in a mother to a daughter named Sophie and she has a husband and she really lost her life she lives in a very small town in France and Isabelle it's quite the opposite she is around 18 at this point and the book starts and she's just getting kicked out another boarding school she's really rebellious she doesn't like what life has offered to her and so she goes home to live with her dad who's never really wanted her or her sister because her mother had passed away at such a young age and he decides he hasn't won her again so his ships are kind of off to her older sister who was also still kind of not happy about this and that is when the war really kicks in the war starts happening and things get really picked up from there the ions spend get sent off to war and that's when the novel starts this book really catalogues the beginning the middle and even just a little bit after of how the aftermath of war and how it's affected each of them so deeply and differently these two sisters it's it's hard you thought you fall so deeply into each of these sisters lives and you can't so you start to not even tell it they're fictional you feel like you know them that's how beautifully Chris and Hannah writes I knew from Paige like five I was gonna give this book a 5 out of 5 I know it's crazy to say but I could just feel the writing was so beautifully add together it flowed so amazingly I was never bored with this book it's a big book it's over 500 pages I think 570 and I was very worried for that matter but it flew so I so fast you didn't want to put it down but yet I had to put it down several times because it made me so emotional I'm trying good emotion right now talking about it because that's how much this book affected me play this book just about war and how its changes and how it's also about women in the war and house two strong females that have done different things during the war but they were ultimately amazing heroes and their own right and it just shows you the strength and the courage of women I personally connected very much to Vianne she was a mother and it just showed throughout this whole novel of what she was willing to do for her family and her daughter she there was no amount of length she would not go to for her family and I felt like I was very much akin to that she's a very strong person in her own right she would inflict oh she would have a lot of things in her that she decided to push aside because she was a mom and she had to be strong for her children and she did the right thing for her children and she was just amazing and then we have Isabel Isabel is wild she's crazy but she wants to be a part of this war she wants to be up in the front for us she wants to battle these Germans and she wants to be able to save them so she gets involved and Sher Singh was British and American pilots I kind of crash in front and France who where it's German occupied and she saves them and she smuggles them through Spain to go to the British Consulate and she does a several times she saves seven lives doing this because she's so passionate about doing the right thing and winning this war and then the ants just trying to you know keep her family afloat and just she fights the quiet fight that I don't think is ever talked about more about the things that happen to her because there was a lot of things that happen of both of these characters and it's just a hook gonna cry right now it's just so amazing I don't know if I want to say anything more about this book I honestly think the less you know about it the better but I think you already know a good chunk of it because it's in World War two and you know the basis of what happened in World War two it's a very scary thing to read about is war in general I'd shy away from it honestly and like I said I'm not a big fan of historical fiction which is why I stayed away from this book for so long but to that I say to you if you're also not the biggest fan of my storica fiction lay that aside you can and pick this up because you will fall in love with this I can almost guarantee you and I don't say that a lot about books because on book is meant for everybody but if I can make this required reading I would like this is one of the two books I would say that like if I had a class of like book students this Heather what would she make us read the nightingale would be on that list because of how beautiful it is and it shows you the strength and people and it shows you the Bruin Asaf war and the scariness and the things that these characters survived and endured you feel for them so much and you cry okay I don't prize books a lot like MIT movies and TV shows all day I'll cry books it takes me a lot and I'm not like saying that to be like both myself that's just how I was books it takes a lot for me to cry say tears were streaming down my face they were it get wavy cry so freakin much but it was so worth it this book impacted me so much it taught me you know a lot of things about world war truth I didn't know it showed you the woman's side of it and how the strength and courage of woman could persevere and they can be amazing heroines and they have a side to the story as well it was just so so amazing if you're hesitant to read this book the historical fiction put that aside if it hasn't it to read it because of its length put that aside it flies by super vest I trust you when and you're gonna be said than it ended what you're asking to be relieved because it's not gonna freaking rip your heart out any there's just I was like oh but I'm glad cuz my heart can mend itself like we're afraid of the light don't be afraid of the length if you're free because it has so much height with it do not be afraid some books yes are very hyped and a lot of you if you're talking about them but I think this is worth every second of the height Kristen Hannah now I want to read every single of her books I don't want to read them back-to-back because holy crap like I don't think I can emotionally prepare myself for that with but this was worth every second it was so amazing so like I said 5 out of 5 stars 100 100 stars a thousand 1000 stars all the
