it the hatch and the nickname just stuck around this is the first car i ever owned the first car i ever built as we continue to make more power with the car we started to break more parts specifically the transmission this car has an h22 swap in it which is not as common as some of the other honda swaps out there like a b series or a k series i wanted to add a throwback to the beginning of this video just as a reminder to all the times we went to the junkyard and pulled the transmission out of a honda accord then used those parts from that transmission to rebuild a new one for the hatch slap it back in go straight race the car go to the track went through so much work and time just to have a little bit of fun but it was all worth it we learned so much in doing this but there comes a point in time when we need to upgrade the parts that we already have and now is the time there is finally a transmission developed for the i knew it was coming and that's why i waited for so long but the hatch's time is now and not only is it going to be able to hold the power but we are also going to be able to make the car all-wheel drive so i am super excited to show you guys what we have coming for the hatch and this is just the first major piece we needed all right guys the time has finally finally come you guys obviously know the hatch it has been put on the back burner for i don't even know how long i made a video a while back when we were at world cup finals and i explained my future plans with the car if you guys don't already know we plan on making this thing all-wheel drive the hatch has an h22 in it and there's not much aftermarket support for the transmission in this car and because of that reason i have not done too much to it i knew there was a transmission in the works and i was like you know we'll just wait on the car we have so many other projects to get done until that transmission will be figured out so the time has come though the transmission is figured out and we have brian with us right over here i don't know if you guys remember him but he was over at the booth a world cup with a buddy of mine aaron lopez who they worked together and they figured something out they made a gear set for the h-22 transmission and not only is it capable for just a front-wheel drive application but it is capable of all-wheel drive and aaron has been testing on the car i showed some videos of his car last year was that last year world cup was that two years ago last year last year at world cup they were still going through some revisions at that time but now they have everything pretty much worked out aaron's car has since gone in 8-0 at like 176 miles an hour the gear sets work and they're throwing a lot of power at it and if you guys remember i got the billet uh bell housing right here this came from them as well and um in this box right here is uh it's the the magic parts gearx gts force four-speed uh four-speed dog box and aaron's car taking 1300 wheel and put in one of your cars and see how you uh sell your favorite let's make this thing outside this thing go fast i've been waiting for this moment for so long so you said you were down just in the area i mean obviously you're here at the shop in florida but you're not from here you're down just for kind of family vacation stuff and brought the gear set with on the plane right yeah absolutely and we brought it we brought it carry on to make sure that it didn't get lost in transit because we wanted to get it to you um you know we were behind schedule as you mentioned with everything going on um to try to make it right we wanted it right before it went out to people this is the 13th set that's out we have sold another five cents we're doing batches of five so if anybody that 5 600 horsepower mark it's just bound to happen so a lot of companies in the past have made boxes but you know the h was just never popular for them to stick around uh we do have the dog box in the prelude but that was a one-off can't really get parts for it anymore uh ppg's to make a kit way back when but long story short there's just not a lot of options so i don't know what else to say i step right here you guys saw the billet uh bell housing and then these are going to be the guts to go in there so let's see uh you want to do the honors yeah get on in there got some stickers for you oh nice some more stickers for you and then also available um you know we got here for kyle is uh you can run the thing in two-wheel drive also you can run the case into it right so we got some really sweet billet block-off plates oh yeah that's awesome so they use an o-ring around it and they fit right in perfectly okay so if you don't want to run the transfer case and you're staying front wheel drive that will block off on the back side of this guy right here right so you're not leaking your fluid everywhere for any of the like sfwd guys that you know that want to go before you had to go hdb you couldn't go really straight h because there's no option now we have options dang you got the final drive yep all right it's finally time i'm so excited for this guys the poor hatch has been sitting for so long so many of you want to see this thing get the love it deserves it's finally happening uh 22 crew yep bringing them back i'm really glad you guys exist because this car would have
