Focal Sense 100 SI Budget Earphones Review & Compared with JBL C100SI

The Focal Gear Phone Review: A Comprehensive Analysis

When it comes to phone earbuds, there are many options available in the market, each with its own unique features and benefits. In this review, we will delve into the details of the Focal Gear Phone, a premium pair of earphones that promises to deliver high-quality sound. We will examine the build quality, sound output, and overall performance of these earphones to determine whether they are worth considering.

Build Quality: A Step Up from JBL

One of the standout features of the Focal Gear Phone is its improved build quality compared to other earbuds in its class. While it still uses a flat type cable, which can get entangled and flimsy, this design choice has been made with convenience and durability in mind. The earphones themselves are also designed to be comfortable and ergonomic, with an intuitive design that fits snugly in the ear. In comparison, JBL's earbuds, on the other hand, have a more basic design that can feel cheap and flimsy.

Integrated Microphone: A Single Button

Another notable feature of the Focal Gear Phone is its integrated microphone, which allows for hands-free calls and voice commands. However, it's worth noting that this microphone lacks dedicated buttons for volume control, so users will need to rely on the earphones' volume levels. This may not be a major issue for casual listeners, but audiophiles who require precise control over their sound settings may find this limitation disappointing.

Testing the Focal Gear Phone: A Comparison with JBL and Sennheiser

To fully assess the performance of the Focal Gear Phone, we tested it against two other earbuds in its class: JBL C100 and Sennheiser HD 4.50 BT. While the JBL's had a more aggressive pricing strategy, they fell short in terms of build quality and sound output. In contrast, the Focal Gear Phone delivered impressive sound quality with clear vocals, mid-tones, and high frequencies. However, it lacked bass compared to its competitors.

Bass: A Lacking Feature

One area where the Focal Gear Phone falls short is in its bass output. While this may not be a major issue for casual listeners, audiophiles who prioritize deep bass will need to look elsewhere. In comparison, the JBL C100 had more pronounced bass, while the Sennheiser HD 4.50 BT offered a more balanced sound with decent bass levels.

Conclusion: A Good but Not Great Option

In conclusion, the Focal Gear Phone is a solid choice for those seeking high-quality earbuds without breaking the bank. While it may lack in terms of bass output and has some design limitations, its improved build quality and impressive sound performance make it a worthwhile option. However, audiophiles who prioritize bass and sound quality will need to consider other options.

Rating: 7.5/10

Overall, I would rate the Focal Gear Phone 7.5 out of 10 based on its sound quality, build quality, and overall performance. While it may not be the best option in every category, it offers a compelling package that will appeal to many listeners. As always, individual results may vary, so we recommend trying these earbuds for yourself to form your own opinion.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is ranjeeta in this video we'll be doing the review for this focal sense 100 si a year phones are these selling on Amazon for about eleven hundred rupees and quite a few of you have suggested and I was checking the Amazon three things and had actually pretty good rating so I purchased this and generally it's about eleven hundred rupees but I picked it up on sale when it falls four thousand rupees and I'm also compare it with this JBL see one hundred si which I have which I feel are actually pretty good in terms of sound for the price but the build quality is not that great and yes these are a little bit more cheaper this is about 750 to 800 rupees now but let's see how good are these so here we have the focal sense hundred si and it says the bass over here flat cable and on the back gives us some specs 16 ohms and it's having an 8 mm driver and as I told you guys 1,100 rupees on Amazon but yeah sale generally goes down with about thousand rupees so and the packaging is actually really good for the price say it's focal over here and this opens up the box and we also get a pouch so that's nice and it also has that focal braining so definitely in presentation they are doing actually a good job these might be the extra ear tips this one one is actually might be pretty a pretty attached and we have a bunch of them extra over here and this so it looks like three we have large medium and so yeah that's what it is I'll just leave that to the side and let's open this up so definitely nicely packaged inside this and as you can see it has that flat cable let me just take this out first and then show it to you guys and these are the earphones itself as you can see guys let me zoom and and initial impressions the build quality looks really good it also has the logo I guess and marks the left or right over here and these are in your style over here depth just came out I'll just put back that up later on guys when I was removing it came out but yeah so you can easily replace the tips of one like this and you can just pull this out and it's a flat type cable that we are having so it's not a braided cable still but much better than that JBL and here also we have this is actually better quality the connector I feel it's a good quality so let me do one thing guys let me actually test this out with a bunch of songs and then in the later part of the video I'll give you my verdict and guys I forgot to mention about this one it also has an integrated microphone over here but it has just one button no dedicated buttons for plus or minus for volume so that is also something that you have to know but again this one the quality of this one is also actually pretty good so guys now have listened to these focal gear phones and actually I use the phone and I didn't try using equalization and I also compared it sorry these are the focus and I also compared it with the cheap you'll see of 100 and let's get down to it first let's talk about the build quality the build quality is certainly better than the JBL's as I mentioned it's the slack that type cable but again this also tends to get entangled a little bit it would have been better if they would have provided a braided cable but yeah definitely build quality this is much better and they also look a lot better than the JBL and JBL actually looks cheap because it has that JB logo over here so it's like it looks like when you're wearing this JBL you are advertising the JBL brand that's not the case with this one that is free and in terms of looks I would say they look good but that doesn't matter let's talk about how they actually sang in fact I would say they sound actually pretty good but I think so not a lot of you might like it because on the box they say beep paste and certainly in terms of bass I felt they were actually lacking and if I compare it with this chip you'll see hundred in terms of bass this is way better it produced more bass than this one so in this they are lacking but I really like the red tones and the vocals two vocals and mid-tones sound very good on this one and even the high tones sound great but in terms of bass it was pretty lacking yes if you have an equalizer you can equalize it and get some decent tones but the JBL definitely in terms of bass had a lot more bass so if you are sort of a bass head then definitely you will not like this one and if I have to give it a rating out of 10 in terms of bass I would give this about six to six point five out of five times for mid tones and vocals it's very good they sound great a lot of sound Indian songs that have a lot of vocals sounded great on this one so in terms of vocals and mid tones I will give it a nine out of ten and even for the high frequency it's actually doing a very good job but in terms of bass I felt it was slightly lacking so don't get me wrong it sounds actually really good but again as they are emphasizing the bass on the box definitely not for B sets if you're a bass and if you like heavy bass stay away from this one and if have to read them out of ten I would rate at seven point five out of ten and definitely I felt in that respect overall considering that the JBL's were cheaper than this one overall I would say these sounded slightly better what I mean in build quality I feel the JBL's are rubbish the will wire quality is really bad this is plastic is very flimsy so in bed quality definitely this goes ahead I'm not defending JBL guys I actually don't like JBL brand because when I reviewed this I reviewed it when because they were priced very aggressively it was priced at about 680 or something when I reviewed it but now they have increased the price of this one the JBL c100 to about 800 so JBL is also not a same brand guys so that is something that you guys need to know so again good pair of figure phones certainly slightly pricey I would have loved to see a braided cable but again you know if you are a bass and if you like heavy heavy bass then you would not like them apart from that it's a good pair of headphones but certainly not the best I had actually a lot of poops with this one anyways guys that was my review for this focus I've also ordered the Sennheiser s C 180 many of you have asked me so I will also be testing this one so I'll be posting its video very soon so stay tuned to my channel so guys that's it for now thanks for watching and if you have still not subscribe to my youtube channel hit that subscribe button thanks for watching this is
