Preparing for Careers in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI: A Comprehensive Guide
Our next live session is a public live session on the coming Sunday, which is the 28th of February 2021 at 7 pm. This is a regular live session hours for all of our AI students. Again, this live session itself is public, which means it will be available on our YouTube channel for everyone to participate in and learn from. The topic of discussion this time is how to prepare and what to prepare for careers in data science machine learning and AI.
This topic is fairly broad, so we'll break it down into multiple chunks to make it more manageable. First, we'll talk about various companies that offer career opportunities in data science, machine learning, and AI. This includes services firms, small service companies, large service companies, product-based startups, and product-based large corporations and companies. We'll explore how careers in data science, machine learning, and AI differ between these companies.
We'll also discuss the various roles that you can prepare for in the field of data science, machine learning, and AI. You can prepare for a data analyst or business analyst type of role, a data scientist role, a machine learning engineer, a computer vision engineer, an NLP engineer, a deep learning engineer, or an applied scientist role. We'll also discuss research scientist roles and how these roles differ in general and across the spectrum of companies.
Another important dimension to consider is your background as a candidate. This includes freshers from a computer science background or non-CS backgrounds, individuals with less than three years' experience in IT or non-IT fields, those with three to eight years of experience, and those with eight plus years of experience. We'll cover how to prepare for various roles at a wide spectrum of companies, taking into account your background and level of experience.
We want to be as exhaustive as possible in our discussion, so we'll try to cover as many cases as possible. Our goal is to provide students who are planning to learn and transition to careers in data science machine learning and AI with a clearer picture on what to learn, how deep to learn, and how to prepare for these careers and interviews at these companies.
Join us at 7 pm on our YouTube channel on the 20th of February. In the description section of this video, we'll post a link to the actual live session itself, where you can join in and participate in the discussion.
