What's Up Guys: My Experience at the Sony Condo Event in Monterey, California

We've finally made it to beautiful Monterey, California, and I'm thrilled to be here for the Sony Condo event. This event is a unique opportunity where Sony brings together their artisans, the collective, press, and other attendees for a series of workshops, shooting opportunities, and more. I'm particularly excited about the interviews I've scheduled with Neal Lifer and Eli Reed, two heavyweights in the photography industry. These gentlemen are known for their incredible work, and I'm eager to share their stories with all of you.

As we take a look around this conference center, which is actually located on the water, it's easy to see why this event is so special. There's also a mini trade show going on in here right now, which adds to the excitement. We're heading out to the bus, and then we'll be visiting the Monterey Aquarium. I've never been to the aquarium before, but I've heard wonderful things about it. Manny Ortiz, my friend, has been telling me all about its greatness.

As we make our way back to the room after a visit to the aquarium, I have to say that this event has been absolutely amazing so far. I've had the pleasure of conducting five interviews today, and I'm excited to share them with all of you in future videos. I've also been using my trusty audio recorder and microphone, which are mounted on tripods to ensure high-quality sound. For camera work, I've been using the Sony A7R III and the A6300, switching between them seamlessly to capture the perfect shot.

One of the highlights of this event has been getting to interview some incredible people in the photography industry. Eli Reed is an African American Magnum photographer from the mid-80s or early 80s, making him a pioneer in his field. Neel Lifer was a successful hunting and sports photographer who worked for Sports Illustrated and Time magazine. Brett Culp is another talented individual who has created some amazing documentary series on Netflix. And then there's Jason Lanier, whom I've had the pleasure of meeting briefly before, but now I'm excited to delve deeper into his world and learn more about building a successful brand in photography.

For me, this event has been an inspiration to create my own content. The idea behind Condo is quite unconventional for a camera company to extend such relationships with their community, making it not only a great learning experience but also an enjoyable one. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to shoot some footage and make some videos while surrounded by like-minded individuals who share a passion for photography.

As we wrap up this video, I want to thank all of you for tuning in. It's been an absolute pleasure sharing my experience with all of you, but unfortunately, it's not without its challenges. The weather here is quite chilly, and there's a lot of wind and noise, which can make recording audio a bit tricky. However, despite the occasional rumble of the mics, I hope this gives you a glimpse into the amazing world of photography and the incredible people behind Condo.

Over the next week or so, I'll be releasing five interviews that I conducted during this event, shot using two cameras to capture a unique perspective. These videos will showcase the passion and dedication of these individuals in their craft, as well as the importance of building your brand and creating opportunities for success in photography. Stay tuned, subscribe, and hit the alarm bell so you don't miss out on any new content. Until next time, I bid you farewell from beautiful Monterey, California.
