**Reading Plans and Preferences**
As I sit down to write about my reading plans, I have to admit that I'm feeling a bit anxious. I've been putting off this task for far too long, and now it's coming to a head. But, after some deep breathing exercises, I'll try to break it down into manageable sections.
Firstly, let me talk about the Noah series by Cassandra Clare. I seem to remember loving Noah a lot in this book, and he's definitely the perfect man in my eyes. Not only did I find the sequel in my childhood bedroom, but I was also curious to see if it still lives up to the hype. As someone who loves a good spooky Trash Pack Friday read, this series seems like the perfect fit. Unfortunately, I don't remember much about the books themselves, except that they're supposed to be atmospheric and romantic.
**Listening to Audiobooks**
I've recently started listening to audiobooks again, thanks to Kat's suggestion. She recommended "The Diviners" as a great way to get through the series. While I'm not a huge fan of audio books, I have to admit that this one has been pretty good so far. The atmospheric setting and creepy tone are really getting me in the mood for spooky season.
As someone who's not a big fan of long plane rides, I've found that listening to audiobooks can be a lifesaver. With my upcoming work trip to San Francisco, I'm hoping to find some comfort in an engaging story while I'm stuck in the air. The fact that it's about murder only adds to the appeal.
**New Releases and Recommendations**
Next up, I've got "Into the Drowning Deep" by Mira Grant on my radar. I know very little about this book, except that it comes out last year and features mermaids. Yes, you read that right – mermaids! I'm intrigued by the idea of a case involving these mythical creatures, and I'm excited to dive in (pun intended).
**A Buddy Read**
I'll also be embarking on a buddy read with two friends this weekend. While I don't know much about the book itself, "Vicious" by V.E. Schwab is supposed to be one of her favorites among fans. As someone who's not a huge fan of Schwab's work, I'm holding out hope that this book will change my mind. The premise seems interesting, with two male leads who used to be friends but get separated by circumstances beyond their control.
**Personal Expectations**
Finally, I'll admit that I've been feeling a bit of peer pressure from Cass (who won't shut up about it) and Cat, who seem to think that this series is a must-read. While I don't know much about "The Diviners" itself, I'm excited to finally give it a try after hearing so many rave reviews. With my reading plans in place, I'm ready to dive into some spooky stories and maybe even discover a new favorite author or series.
