As I checked into our hotel in Taiwan, we were greeted by a tiny room and a washing machine on top of it. We decided to do some laundry, but were unsure if we could change the temperature settings, which might ruin our clothes. Luckily, we had a human washing machine on hand that took care of our washing needs.
After checking into our hotel, we decided to explore the local electronics stores. Our first stop was a massive electronic store called Yo Dabashi, where we discovered an In Win 303 case with an AG Tuned chassis. The case seemed like a reference design, but it was actually a GT X 1080 model running on the Intel Z 270 chipset and Intel platform. We also spotted a race fire cooler that turned out to be an Intel processor.
Next, we visited another store called Asus Rog Swift PG 3 4 8q, which is actually the Model Number 4XG 3 5vq. It had all the same specs as our original PG 3 4aq, but with a few cosmetic differences, including a red accent on the stand. The pricing for this case was significantly higher than what we found in the US, with a price tag of around $1,400.
We also took a look at some gaming PCs and laptops from various brands, including NZXT H 700 W, MSI's Be 360 M Order Titanium Ghost, and Asus Rog Swift PG 3. The prices for these products varied widely, ranging from $250 to over $1,000.
In addition to gaming hardware, we also visited a local retailer that offered a wide range of computer parts and accessories. One product that caught our eye was the Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2x16GB kit, which offered 16GB of RAM at a price of around $220.
We also took a look at some graphics cards from various brands, including ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 570, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. The prices for these products were significantly lower than what we found in the US, making it an attractive option for those looking to build a gaming PC.
After exploring the local electronics stores, we decided to check into our hotel at the Gorika Don, which is a traditional Japanese Inn located near a hot spring. The hotel was incredibly nice and had Wi-Fi that was some of the best I've ever seen.
One of the highlights of our stay at the Gorika Don was watching my twin brother Lyle's room tour from last year. He stayed in the same exact room as me, and recorded his own tour to show off its amenities. It was great to see how much attention the hotel had paid to detail, from the comfortable bed to the modern bathroom.
As I reflected on our stay at the Gorika Don, I realized that this trip was a unique opportunity for us to experience Japanese culture firsthand. We were treated to a traditional Japanese dinner, complete with all sorts of delicious dishes and drinks. The highlight of the evening was a visit to a hot spring, where we could relax and unwind in natural hot water.
Overall, our stay at the Gorika Don was an unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to explore Japan's unique culture and hospitality.
