Unboxing the Nexus 7: A Closer Look at Google's Latest Tablet
Hi everyone, this is Aaron for Zolote, and we're going to unbox the brand new Nexus 7. Last year, Google released the Nexus 7, and this is their follow-up product with some pretty impressive specs. It's available in two models: a $229 16 GB model and a $269 32 GB model, which we have here today.
As we open up the box, we can see that it's designed to look like Apple's products, with a clear cellophane type material wrapping around the tablet. Inside the box, we find the Nexus 7 itself, along with an AC wall adapter and a quick how-to guide for turning it on. The adapter is designed to work with both USB-A and USB-C ports, so users can easily charge their device without any issues.
The Nexus 7 itself is a sleek and compact tablet that's designed to be held in one hand. Its narrow bezel makes it easy to carry around, and its weight is surprisingly light, making it feel almost like a toy in the palm of your hand. But don't let its size fool you - this device is packed with some impressive specs.
One of the most notable features of the Nexus 7 is its display. It's a 720p (1280x720) HD display that's capable of producing vibrant colors and clear images. What's even more impressive is that it has a pixel density of 323 pixels per inch, making it one of the highest-resolution displays on the market. And to protect this display from scratches and cracks, Google has included Gorilla Glass on both sides.
The Nexus 7 also comes equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor that's clocked at 1.5 GHz. This processor is paired with an Adreno 320 GPU that's capable of handling demanding graphics and games. The device also features Dual Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and Android Beam for wireless connectivity.
But what really sets the Nexus 7 apart from other tablets on the market is its rear camera. It's a 5-megapixel sensor that's capable of recording high-quality video at 1080p resolution. While it may not be the highest-resolution camera out there, it's certainly one of the best. And with Android Beam, users can easily share their photos and videos with friends and family.
The Nexus 7 also features a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera that's perfect for self-portraits or video conferencing. While it may not be as high-resolution as the rear camera, it's still capable of producing clear images and decent video quality.
One of the things we're most excited about is the Nexus 7's availability with LTE connectivity. This means that users will be able to access fast data speeds on the go, making it perfect for streaming video or checking email. The only catch is that the LTE model is $100 more than the Wi-Fi version.
In terms of storage, the Nexus 7 comes in two models: a 16 GB and a 32 GB version. While this may not be as much as some users would like, it's still plenty of space for storing apps, music, and other files. And with cloud storage options available on Android, users can easily access their files from anywhere.
But what really sets the Nexus 7 apart is its build quality. The device has a rubberized back that's both durable and comfortable to hold. And while it may not have a traditional case or cover, the clear cellophane material wrapping around the tablet gives it a sleek and premium feel.
As we take a closer look at the first startup of the Nexus 7, we can see just how smooth and seamless the experience is. The device boots up quickly, and the interface is both intuitive and visually stunning. We're excited to dive deeper into our testing and see just how well this tablet performs in real-world use.
Overall, the Nexus 7 is an impressive device that's packed with some of the best specs on the market. With its high-resolution display, quad-core processor, and rear camera, it's perfect for anyone looking for a powerful and feature-packed tablet. And at $229 or $269, depending on the storage model, it's certainly an affordable option.

has some pretty impressive specs and it's only 229 and there's a 16 GB model and then there's a $269 32 GB model this is actually the 16 GB let's open it up here now it can be ordered from Google Play you can buy it from Best Buy Staples uh let's see here we have this little sticker this is made by Asus and Google says it is the highest resolution 7-in tablet available it comes with Android 4.3 so it should be really nice nice and up to date you can see here's the tablet itself pretty small I can hold it pretty easily in one hand and that's because they've narrowed the bezel we'll take a little bit closer look at that in a moment this is the tablet pop the top off here comes with an AC wall adapter and then we have Nexus 7 warranty and safety kind of a quick how-to guide to turn it on press and hold for a few seconds you can see it says it has NFC in the back which is nice for wireless charging or using NFC then we have a micro USB to USB adapter for charging or Sinking so we'll set the Box aside and take a look at the tablet they've wrapped it just like apple wraps their devices with this kind of clear cellophane type material now in Tradition with the first Nexus tablet it has a rubberized back super thin you can see it's it's pretty impressively thin and then we have our power button here volume looks like maybe a microphone right here on the back we have a 5 megapixel rear facing camera that records 1080p video and then on the front we have a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera so that's pretty nice they've added the rear camera on this one you can see it's not centered though I'm not sure if you can see that but it's not centered it's over here and then the display itself is really the most impressive part it's a 720 actually it's a 1080p 1920 x 1200 HD display it actually has 323 pixels per inch in a 7in piece of display or glass and it has corny Gorilla Glass on it it's pretty light it it comes in at about half a pound actually it's uh 64 PB or 290 G it also comes available later on with LTE now you can see on this side we showed you that it says Nexus Asus who makes this on the bottom we have a micro USB port we also have stereo speakers it actually has stereo no matter what orientation you hold it in there's speakers over here as well you've got a 3.5 mm headphone jack up here and that's pretty much it so the tablet itself is really nice like I said it has some really impressive specs it has a qualcom Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5 GHz it also has an adreno 320 GPU with 400 MHz this this clock speed has Dual Band Wi-Fi AB G and n it also has Android 4.0 or I'm sorry NFC with Android Beam and Bluetooth 4.0 uh built into the back so it will wirelessly charge and you can use it to tap other phones or whatever you want to do with it we'll boot it up here when the actual later model comes out with LTE it will support just about every 4G LTE band although the price is about $100 more or so you can see that booted up really quickly I'll show you that in another video the first setup things like that we'll take a closer look at the display see what it's like but overall it's really impressively thin there is no case that I have for I found on their website they actually have a sleeve available but it's not available yet so I'm not sure when that will be but it should be impressive it has GPS and a compass built in a gyroscope accelerometer so even without the LTE we should be able to use it as a GPS so it should be really nice to use I'm very impressed with how thin and light it is really nice to to hold on to pretty thick bezel right here uh but thinner over here we'll take a little closer look at the first startup in another video but if you have any questions or comments please Place those in the comments below as always thanks for
