**A Surprising Little Car: Our First Impressions of the Hyundai i10**
It was really heavy, be a bit of a faff to push it all the way to the front of the car and then it would slide back like that. Now if you click it there you can see more on this car's practicality. You might want to watch our video in that I'll show you just how much stuff we could switch to this car's boot what it's like with three adults in the back and just how easy it is to install a baby seat.
The walk round bit has been dealt with now it's time to hit the road to see what this car is like to drive. It's not like ten years, nice and easy to drive in town so the suspension does a good job for a small car. Dealing with bumps, the controls are light, the gearshift in forward gears is nice you'll see why I said that later in the video, and the brakes well the brakes are a bit old because you touch the pedal nothing really happens then you touch it a bit more and then yeah they feel a little bit jerky. It's a bit of a shame that's the only annoying thing because otherwise it's a great little car.
The views from the driver's seat are pretty good, with good all-around visibility. The view at the back is also pretty good as well. You can see for yourself by clicking up there to join me for the 360-degree passenger ride video. Now you might think this car of this size would really struggle on the motorway, and actually it feels a lot more planted than you think it would. The issue comes with the engine so if you have the 1-liter engine yeah it's gonna struggle at speed even this 1.2 you do need to drop it down a few gears if you want to overtake someone and when you start to rev it makes quite a bit of a racket.
You also notice a lot of road noise coming from the tires as well, not so much wind noise but that road noise doesn't echo around the cabin, you can tell you're in a cheaper car. In terms of economy, it's alright though I'm getting 48 miles per gallon at this one point. It's not designed to be thrown around corners this little car, I Ted doesn't fall over when you took into a pit, but that's to be forgiving it's good enough in the way it handles.
When you've got a twisty road, you don't feel out of your depth, I'm actually quite surprised it can be good fun trying to drive this thing on its door handles. Actually, all-in-all it's quite a surprising little thing this, it's a lot better than you think it's gonna be.
**The Not-So-Pleasing Features**
There are a few things that didn't impress me about the Hyundai i10. I really like the way that high and I seamlessly match the color of the body. The parking sensor is also working well, but there's one annoying thing, the door handle sticks out so far that when you try to use the seat height adjuster, you end up rubbing your arm on the handle, friction burn.
Another feature that's a bit of a pain is the manual. It's almost as big as the car itself, and it takes as long to read through as the Bible. But, some of the information in the manual is in multiple languages for improved economy. The SE Blue model is up to 30 kilograms lighter than the normal car thanks to various weight saving measures such as removing the spare wheel.
**The Good Stuff**
Despite a few annoying features, there's plenty to like about the Hyundai i10. One of my favorite features is the air conditioning system on this car, it's really powerful and fills up quickly, it's like standing in a refreshing Arctic Gale which is handy on a hot day. The car also comes with electric rear windows that go all the way down.
In terms of interior trim and seat panels, there are several options to choose from. There's even a little slot up here for the seat belt so that it doesn't snag when you fold the rear seats down. You also get a footrest in the front, which is a nice touch.
**Our Verdict**
Overall, I think you should consider the Hyundai i10. It's a really good small car, but there are some downsides to be aware of. If you want a fun and easy driving experience, this might not be the best choice for you. However, if you're looking for something practical and reliable, with a low running cost, then the i10 is definitely worth considering.
It's a good option if you're on a budget or need a car that will fit into tight parking spaces. The i10 also handles well, even on twisty roads, so it's not just a dull little car to drive around town. Just be aware of the engine and brakes, they can be a bit old-fashioned.
**Additional Tips**
If you're considering buying a Hyundai i10, I would recommend doing some research and reading reviews from other owners. You may also want to test drive the car before purchasing to get a feel for it. Additionally, make sure to check the fuel efficiency of the car and consider the cost of insurance and maintenance.
By taking these tips into account, you can find a Hyundai i10 that meets your needs and budget, and enjoy a safe and reliable driving experience.
