Lawbringer Overpowered (For Honor)

The Counter to Law Breaker's Overpowered Status: A Deeper Look

I've had the opportunity to test out the Law Bringer, and I have to say, it's not as overpowered as many people think. At least on PC, with quick reactions and a good understanding of the mechanics, you can easily counter its attacks. I've noticed that players tend to fall for its heavy attacks, but if you time your dodges correctly, you can avoid taking damage.

One way to effectively counter the Law Bringer is to mix up your own attacks, combining light and heavy moves with feints. By doing so, you make it difficult for opponents to anticipate what's coming next. For example, I started asking my opponent to switch between light and heavy attacks, as well as trying out feints. This made it challenging for them to land a hit on me.

Another key aspect of countering the Law Bringer is to pay attention to its block window. If you can time your attacks correctly, you can punish opponents who try to attack while they're blocking. I've noticed that even when my opponent tries to use their uninterruptible deflect (Orochi's ability), I can still counterattack and land a hit.

One of the biggest misconceptions about the Law Bringer is that it has a 50/50 chance of landing a hit on players who block it. However, with quick reactions and a good understanding of the mechanics, this simply isn't true. On PC at least, I've found it easy to react to the Law Bringer's attacks and counter them effectively.

It's worth noting that console versions may be more challenging due to the slightly slower pace of gameplay compared to PC. However, even with this difference in speed, I'm confident that players can still learn to counter the Law Bringer. After all, understanding of the mechanics is key to success in any fighting game.

To further test the Law Bringer's viability, I'll be experimenting with other characters and playstyles. My goal is to provide an accurate representation of its performance in various matchups, rather than simply relying on anecdotal evidence or assumptions about its balance. By doing so, I hope to shed some light on this debate and provide a more nuanced understanding of the Law Bringer's capabilities.

As I continue to test and analyze the Law Bringer, I want to emphasize that my intention is not to prove it's overpowered, but rather to offer an objective assessment of its performance. It's also important to recognize that game balance can be complex and multifaceted, often influenced by factors such as player skill level, playstyle, and familiarity with the mechanics.

Ultimately, I believe that a more informed discussion about the Law Bringer's status will require a deeper understanding of the game's mechanics and character interactions. By sharing my findings and encouraging others to test and share their own experiences, we can work together to create a more accurate representation of this character's performance in the game.

until you go - at the correct time he's not able to counter these blocks so that's that's the first step he landed what - and I was able to counter a few of them dodging this at least on PC I can say it's not that hard now I'm gonna ask him to switch things up right I'm gonna ask him to sometimes go for a light sometimes go for a grab okay so I know the lights coming but now I'm going to ask him to sometimes go for a light sometimes go for a grab and then we'll see how this one works out so right there right there he went for a heavy attack and he fainted into a gar break and even though I fell for the heavy I still had enough time to counter gar break by mashing the gar break button so I'm gonna tell him mix heavy feint as well I'd pretty much do anything to fool me now I'm gonna ask him to do the heavy feint as well pony tech and as you know when we dodge those lights we are able to we are able to punish him like this we're able to punish him and we're still able to gar break even when he faints so as you can see LA bringer is not overpowered even off of blocks even off of blocks it's still going to be the same thing like right there right there I guessed wrong because I dodge way too early right there I still blocked it was still able to counter guard break at that time he hit me so he's going to get it he's going to get it a few times he's going to get a few times but if you are quick with your reactions and you read your opponent um and you can actually react to it you don't have to guess you're able to punish the law bringer and you're able to punish the law bringer and come out on top so it is not overpowered it is not overpowered people are like law bringer has a 50/50 it is not a 50/50 now I will say that maybe on console you'll have a harder time dodging them but I'm pretty sure that light attack is still a little slower than the peacekeeper light attacks so you will still be able to react to it now I'm going to jump into an assassin um and this is going to be even better for you because assassins not only do they have the side attacks which if they go for a grab they'll get countered and get hit but they can also deflect so um so let's get into this one and and we're gonna go for the Flex this time and and also we'll mix in some side attacks on his grabs and this is really important because because there's gonna be a lot of misinformation about lobbying or being overpowered and at the end of the day he might be well he might be overpowered in the you know beginner phase for people who don't understand all the mechanics but it's hard for developers to balance the game based off of beginners and and then like the top players who know what they're doing and most of the times I think it's better to focus on it's better to focus on making it enjoyable for everybody and I'm not sure to what extent this this is going to be enjoyable for people but it's still it's still going to be what's like it's still going to be manageable it's still going to be manageable right there I wasn't really paying attention to much but now I'm gonna I'm gonna get into this right now and I'm gonna try to go for the flex and I'm gonna try to go for site attacks off of his uh off of his attacks go for guard break and lights only no paints for now just for now just to get it understand understanding of this see even when the guard breaks you can go for a side - attack and get them and if you if you don't deflect you can always guard break I'm at a stamina now so I just got to back up real quick of course Orochi has his uninterruptible deflect as well so hopefully this this you know clears up some of the confusion for you guys um I'm not biased I only like picked up la bringer a few weeks ago and I play a lot of different classes so I'm not like I'm not trying to make a case for la Brinegar to keep something that's overpowered I'm just bringing the truth out I just want to let you guys know that it is countable he does not have a 50/50 it is easy to react to at least on PC it seems easy to react to I can't say for certain on console but once this you know goes through the console I have an Xbox and ps4 that I'll be doing tests with and um you know just good luck out there hopefully this video helps you guys hopefully this helps lawbreakers and hopefully this helps people trying to fight lawbreakers um I appreciate it guys that's it for today all right Thank You Pandaall right hey what's up guys it's cypher and today we are going to be showcasing some of the la bringer changes in particular we're gonna be focusing on the guaranteed light attack after a bash a lot of people a lot of people seem to have problems with the LOB ringer or they assume the LOB ringer is going to be extremely powerful because of this guaranteed light attack which would encourage turtling and while it does encourage players of players who play la brainer to be a little bit more defensive um I'm here to debunk the idea that la bringer is going to be extremely overpowered because of this because while you do get the guaranteed light unless your opponent dodges it if your opponent does correctly dodge it they can punish you for a lot more than a light attack so right here I have Panda he's going to be my guinea pig for this experiment I'm gonna ask him just throw random lights after bash um any direction is fine so here's what we gonna do he's gonna bash me do the light I wit Oh bash me light grab three heavy bash me light grab three heavy bash me light so it seems like you got a dash away from it no you can dash into it but if you -
