The Apple iPad Pro is expected to receive a major upgrade with the latest rumors pointing towards several significant changes. One of the most notable upgrades is the OLED display, which will make the device thinner and potentially even thinner than before. The 12.9-inch model may see a noticeable reduction in thickness, making it one of the thinnest tablets available. This new display technology will not only improve the overall aesthetic but also provide better contrast and color accuracy.
Another significant upgrade is the repositioned front-facing camera, which will be moved to the center top position when in landscape mode. This change will enhance the overall user experience and provide a more immersive viewing experience. Additionally, the iPad Pro is expected to feature the M3 chip, providing boosted performance for demanding tasks and applications.
In terms of design, there are rumors of mag-safe support, which would enable wireless charging and accessory compatibility. While this feature may not be widely adopted due to its size requirements, it would certainly be a welcome addition to the iPad Pro's featureset. Furthermore, the device may see an increase in storage capacity, potentially reaching up to 4TB of storage, doubling that of the current 2TB model.
However, one major concern is the potential price increase, as these upgrades will undoubtedly come at a cost. The rumored price jump could be substantial, making it even more expensive than the previous iPad Pro. This may be particularly significant for those planning to purchase the new Magic Keyboard, which is expected to feature an aluminum construction and a larger trackpad.
Aside from the iPad Pro, there are also rumors of a potential update to the iPad Air and Apple Pencil 3. However, it appears that these updates will not be part of this upcoming event, and instead, may be saved for later in 2024. The base model iPad is also expected to receive an upgrade, but no specific details have been confirmed.
The Apple event is also rumored to introduce new AirPods, specifically the AirPods Max, which are expected to arrive later this year. However, there has been no confirmation on these updates from Apple, and it's unclear when they will be released.
In terms of logistics, the upcoming event is expected to be relatively short-lived, lasting only around an hour. As with any major Apple event, pre-orders may not be available immediately after the announcement, but rather a few days later. Rumors suggest that devices will go on sale the following Friday, pending availability and pricing.
Overall, the upcoming Apple event promises to be significant, with rumors pointing towards numerous upgrades and improvements for the iPad Pro and other Apple products. While some of these updates are still speculative, they undoubtedly demonstrate Apple's commitment to innovation and user experience.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwell this was a surprise Apple just announced a new May Apple event called let loose this is taking place on May 7th at 7 a.m. Pacific Time or 10:00 a.m. eastern a very rare time for apple and a very rare month for Apple to have an event but it's happening so in this video we're going to talk about what to expect so first off I will be live streaming this event here on YouTube so make sure you are subscribed to the channel and tune in to that live stream so we can all react to everything that gets announced together so first off let's take a look at the invite graphic because this might be the most obvious graphic that we've ever seen for an Apple event so this clearly hints at an apple pencil since we see a hand with an apple pencil and the motion graphic has the hand kind of spinning the pencil around now the colors shown could also indicate new iPad Air color options maybe some or even all of the color options we've really seen no leaks lately about the colors so that could be something Rel to that and also if you take a look at Apple's homepage they're promoting this event using six different Apple logos that change every time you refresh the homepage and these different logos could be made with an apple pencil so we might actually be seeing new apple pencil tools and different you know uh styles that we can draw with with the apple pencil so that could also be a hint in this invite okay so now let's talk about what to expect at this event and let's finish up with the apple pencil because that's the first thing I would definitely expect to see at this event is an apple pencil third generation so the design is expected to be pretty much the same but we might have a more glossy finish this time around so it might be made with a more glossy material and also magnetic tips so these might be able to be changed to different sizes based on what you're using it for now something that's pretty much confirmed for the new Apple pencil are new gesture controls because we saw in the code of iPad OS 17.5 beta that there's a new squeeze gesture for the apple pencil 3 now we don't know for sure what this gesture does but it looks like it can be used for quick interactions such as adding shapes signatures stickers or a text field and presumably the gesture will be triggered by pressing the apple pencil surface and Apple has also been internally testing a new Apple pencil with vision OS support for the Apple Vision Pro so we might be seeing that on the apple pencil third generation as well but we might not actually see it working until Vision OS 2 at the worldwide developers conference in beta now moving on to the iPads themselves so first off we are expecting to see a new iPad Air at this event and for the first time ever we're not just going to have one size for the iPad Air we're going to be seeing two so all the rumors are pointing to the fact that we're going to have a 10.9 in model with the same LCD display that we've had previously but also for the first time we're going to have a 12.9 in model with a mini LED display so we don't know for sure if this 12.9 in model is going to have a promotion which I believe that would be the first ever non-pro product that has promotion so it's kind of hard to believe that Apple's going to put promotion on the iPad Air they might save that for the iPad Pro but it's going to have many LEDs so it technically will be capable of having promotion now we're also hearing that there's going to be a new position for the front camera so the top of the iPad when it's in landscape orientation when it's on its side the camera is going to be at the top so that is a much needed change for the iPad and that will carry over to the iPad Pro as well and then of course we are expecting the M3 chip on both sizes with improved performance we might see improved gaming capabilities as well since we do have the raate tracing and everything like that and then also since the iPad Air has not been updated recently I would expect to see Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E support and as far as the pricing goes I would expect the 10.9 in model to remain the same starting price which right now is $5.99 but for the 12.9 in model apple is likely going to increase the price by around $200 so we might be looking at a $77.99 price tag for the bigger mini LED version of the iPad Air and like I said at the beginning we might be seeing some of those new colors that we see in the invite graphic we haven't really seen any leaks or rumors about the colors so I would not expect any type of major change there but most importantly at this event is going to be the new iPad Pro this I think is what everybody is excited for even if you can't afford it because it's going to be crazy expensive probably it is going to be exciting to see what Apple does with this new iPad Pro so this is going to be the first major update since 2018 and it looks like we're going to have around 11 in and 12.9 in sizes again although they could be considered 11.1 in and 13 in based on the cad files the bezels could also be 10 to 15% thinner than the previous models but most importantly with these iPads the biggest change coming to these iPad Pros is most likely going to be the OLED display so for the first time ever on an iPad we are going to have OLED displays now this is going to lead to deeper blacks faster refresh rates and improved contrast now this could also and will likely lead to better battery life and also for the first time ever we might have the always on display and standby mode on an iPad so that'll be pretty nice I'm not really sure how useful always on will be on the iPad since I'm I usually have it covered up you know with the case but could be interesting as well now there's also been a rumor floating around that Apple might add a new matte screen option that's similar to the studio displays Nano texture glass so this is going to be made for those who want to prevent glare and really for those who just use the apple pencil a lot and want it to feel paper- like like those screen protectors so that could be interesting and I'm sure Apple will charge a little bit more for that option if that actually is a thing if you have a recent iPad Pro you know that it's already pretty thin but the new iPad Pro thanks mostly in part to the OLED display it's going to be even thinner so it looks like it could be more than 1 mm thinner at least for the 12.9 in model which is going to be a noticeable change and then also like I mentioned for the iPad Air we are going to have a repositioned front-facing camera that way when you're in landscape mode the camera is going to be in the center up top and then also like the iPad Air we are expecting to see the M3 chip inside for boosted performance I would not expect to see any type of M3 Pro chip or anything like like that it's likely going to have the same chipset as the iPad Air now something else in terms of the design that might be changing with the iPad Pro we haven't really heard this lately but it is a possibility and that is mag safe support so we might actually be seeing mag safe support on the iPad Pro which in my opinion would be great obviously it's going to be too big to fit on your traditional wireless chargers that you have now but I think it will be great for accessories and also if you did want to wirelessly charge it of course there's going to be a whole new you know lineup of accessories out there for iPad Pro you know Wireless charges cuz it's going to have to be pretty big but that will be interesting to see if Apple goes that route and then we're also hearing that the iPad Pro might go up to 4 tabt of storage which is double that of the current 2 tbytes but of course the big downside to all of these great features especially the OLED display is going to be price because we are expecting to see a noticeable price jump from the previous iPad Pro to the new iPad Pro so we don't know specifics just yet I would expect it to be pretty expensive I mean probably at least a couple hundred more than the previous iPad Pro so just you know don't be shocked when you see a price tag that looks pretty high when Apple announces these and you might be paying even more if you're planning on getting the new magic keyboard because we're also expected to see a redesigned magic keyboard to go along with this iPad Pro and it looks like it's going to have a larger trackpad that's going to make the iPad Pro look more like a laptop than the current model I believe it's also supposed to made of aluminum as well so it's going to be a more premium magic keyboard which also I'm assuming is going to go up in price as well so this could be a very expensive refresh cycle if you are in the market for a new iPad Pro and magic keyboard but aside from the iPad Pro the iPad Air and the apple pencil 3 we're not expecting to see anything else at this event however that does not mean it's not going to happen apple has a tendency to surprise us with releases sometimes so I would not be surprised if we saw maybe like an iPad Mini spec bump at this event as well but the the thing is we're so close to the worldwide developers Conference in June that it seems like if Apple has anything else that's not yet finished and it's like you know close they're just going to wait until WWDC to announce and release that product so we could see new iPad minis but we're hearing that those aren't coming till later this year same with the base model iPad we're not expecting that we're not hearing that that's going to come until the end of 2024 and I know a lot of you guys are also waiting on new airpods especially the airpods max but I would not expect to see those at this event either I would expect those to come later this year and one thing you have to keep in mind as well with an event like this is it's not going to last very long I would expect this event to only be around an hour so just keep that in mind as well and as far as the actual release date we don't know for sure yet if apple is going to you know put the devices up for sale immediately after the event if it's going to be that Friday if you're going to pre-order that Friday and it comes out the following Friday we won't know that until the day of release or maybe some rumors are going to come out you know leading up to that event that will give us more sight as to actual availability but nonetheless I hope to see you guys in the live stream for that event here on my channel make sure you are subscribed so you don't miss the notification when I do go live we can chat about everything that gets announced but anyways hope you guys enjoyed this video if you did I would appreciate if you give it a thumbs up also be sure to subscribe for more Apple news and updates but anyways guys thanks again for watching and I'll see you soonwell this was a surprise Apple
