Boyalink Wireless Microphone Review
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up everybody this is Carl from tech for goodies and today we are looking at the booya multi-compatible 2.4 GHz dual Channel wireless microphone system okay the folks from Boya sent this over for me to try out and in fact you might be wondering wait a second if you're using it right now on your shirt how is it possible that you're holding the Box in your hand and that's because they sent over an extra one for me to give away so that's right there is a giveaway with this video I will put the link down below that you can go ahead and enter and hopefully you might be the proud recipient of a brand new Bo link lapel mic so like I said this is a lapel mic that you basically hook on to your shirt or to your pocket what it allows you to do is have a remote mic that connects to a receiver that hooks into uh your smartphone Android or iOS into your computer into your camera so it has a wide array of things that it can connect to so as far as some of the features and then we'll get into the unboxing uh this has HD noise cancellation uh you can actually use it while you're charging so if you have to charge it while you're recording a video that's great if you're out and about with your camera and it runs low on battery it has mono or stereo output and it has a 100 meter range it uses the 2.4 gigahertz wireless connection between the receiver and the microphones itself and that gives it a much wider range than if you were using something like Bluetooth so in the box we have a accessories box here which I will not open I'll show you so in the accessories box you actually have a nice little carrying case as well as a charging cable uh this is a usba to USBC which is nice because that means you'll get faster charging with that and the main device is a sort of compact allinone unit that you can take and travel with so here is the main device on the front you have a battery indicator and a button if you push this button in here it releases the top lid and then inside we have a multitude of things so we have the receiver right here and the receiver has the ability to have different connectors on the back here right now it has the TRS connector or the headphone jack but in the case you also have a lightning adapter so you can use that for your iPhone or or it has a USBC adapter so you can use that for your other smartphones or your iPhone 15 if you have that and the way this works is you all you have to do on the receiver here is pull back this little blue tab and slide off the current adapter okay so that comes off very easily and then you go ahead and hook on other adapter and it just clicks in very nicely so if you're going to connect it to either your phone or your tablet or computer you just is basically take the receiver and plug it into your phone so that's super flexible the ability to switch between each one of these little adapters here especially with the headphone TRS adapter and then also the lightning adapter that means you have the ultimate flexibility when you're on the go now also in the Box here you have small little wind screens so that allows you to basically add it to the top of your microphone so if you're out and about and there's wind it should stop sort of that wind noise that you get picked up from uh standard microphones and then it also comes with two mics okay so each one of these mics has a little clip to be able to clip it on and then also has a mute button and a gain up and gain down so if you're recording in an area where you need to be a little bit more sensitive you can turn the gain up or you can turn it down if needed and that comes with six levels of gain control from zero all the way up to six I think when I tried zero it was very very hard to hear but when it was six it was pretty pretty loud so you have a good wide range there and then when you're all done with the system you can basically just take each one of these uh they do have the little uh peel off thing here with the connectors for charging so all you do is take it and they all magnetize back into their slots which is really important so when you're opening it it just doesn't spill out all over the place so put one back in here put the other one back in here put each one of your adapters I'll go ahead and put the TRS back onto the receiver itself put the receiver back in the Box put USB in here and as you can see they all magnet right into place and the lightning right into the box and then when you're done close it up toss it in your Satchel your backpack your purse whatever uh and you're good to go so the good thing about this like I said is that it has two microphones if you're someone who does interviews a lot or you have two people in in your videos sometimes it's difficult to have two mics set up correctly or a boom mic overhead you might be out and about doing those interviews so you have two different mics uh that way it doesn't matter where the other person is the one receiver will pick up both mics and the other good thing is if you have a wireless mic like this I'm not going to be Tethered to my desk anymore so I can get up and walk around and do things and you'll still be able to hear me there's times at my desk where I turn this way or I turn this way and my microph phone doesn't pick up my voice correctly this allows me to get up move around even if the receiver is over here connected to my computer I can move around the room or around the house or in the car or whatever to keep recording and the important thing to remember is that like I said you can hook it up to cameras you could if your camera accepts sort of a head uh headphone input you can hook it up to your smartphone so if you're out and about just clip it right into your smartphone and start recording tablets computers everything so it is a really really versatile system and you can judge yourself for how it sounds just so this is the sound of my voice using this microphone I am going to do uh some postprocessing some noise reduction some uh EQ and stuff like that like I do on all my videos none of my microphones no matter what I use sound perfect it does have a built-in noise reduction so that you have a little bit of noise reduction when you're out and about and that's always good too but yeah there's there's so many different types of microphones in such a huge price range out there um you can go for the super high-end ones and pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars but this is kind of right there on the lower end affordable for the beginner for the starter for even the professional it works really good and sounds really good too so what I'll do is I'll go ahead and leave the link down below if you want to check these out thanks again to Boya for sending over the Boya link microphone system I've got one to give away so I will put it back in the box here right away so I don't lose any of the pieces so just make sure that you check out the giveaway link down below it'll about 30 days and I'll let the person know who wins but other than that I appreciate you joining me please give me a like give me a subscribe but until next time this is
