HP is Pretty Much Killing Off WebOS: A Bad Decision?
Hey guys, so today I'm here with a little bit of a different video, and of course, you guys may or may not have heard that HP is pretty much killing off WebOS. They're going to can discontinue all the phones as well as the HP Touchpad tablet. Now this is definitely bad news. I really like Web I think they're making a bad decision on the good side.
They're basically blowing out the touchpad right now, as you guys can see here. I was able to pick up this HP Touchpad for only $99. So while it may not be a perfect tablet for the price, I think it's going to be hard to go wrong. Let's take a quick look at it.
Okay, so we've got out of the box, let's take a look at what all we actually get in the box. Of course, the first thing is going to be the touchpad tablet itself. We'll go ahead and do the whole unboxing deal for you guys. See now comes the fun part, kind of nice packaging here, open this up.
HP Touchpad: Unboxing and First Look
As I unbox the HP Touchpad, it's definitely a unique device. The first thing that stands out is the packaging. It's nicely wrapped up in plastic ahead, peel it all off, and love taking a gadget out for the very first time. All right guys, so here is the HP Touchpad itself. Uh, just made out of black plastic, um definitely I can see fingerprints coming on it.
But anyway, guys, this has been a quick little first look at the HP Touchpad. Now, I think this probably goes without saying, but for $100, I don't care what, I mean this is absolutely going to be worth more than $100. So if you guys have the opportunity, go check it out. Uh, most places are sold out online right now, but if you find it in stores, um I like you guys saw, I went to Walmart and picked mine up.
Just go look around and if you can find one, absolutely go pick it up. Anyway, guys, I will catch you next time.
The Unboxing of HP Touchpad
When we open the box, we get a getting started guide, a navigation HPS here to help, and a little HP cleaning cloth. So, you definitely do get what you pay for, and plus a lot more. All right, so let's see here how do we open this next Bit app here. We do get a wall adapter, so just USB wall adapter, nothing particularly special.
You do get the USB cable, which I believe is micro USB perhaps. So, yeah, so you get pretty much everything you need in the box, which is not a whole lot. But the most important thing is, you do get the HP Touchpad, and I'll go ahead and open it up and give you guys a quick run around the device.
Inside the Device
The HP Touchpad itself is nicely wrapped up in plastic ahead. Peel it all off, and love taking a gadget out for the very first time. All right, guys, so here is the HP Touchpad itself. Uh, just made out of black plastic, um definitely I can see fingerprints coming on it.
But overall, the device looks pretty good. The design is simple, but it gets the job done. The touchscreen is responsive, and the device feels solid in the hand. However, the build quality could be better. The plastic feels a bit flimsy, and the device could benefit from some additional reinforcement.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the HP Touchpad is an affordable tablet that's worth checking out if you're in the market for a new device. While it may not be perfect, it gets the job done, and the price point is hard to beat. If you have the opportunity, go check it out.
