The OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 10T are two devices that share many similarities, but also have some notable differences. One of the main areas where the devices differ is in their design and build quality. The OnePlus 10 Pro has a more premium feel to it, with a glass back and a stainless steel frame. It also has a slightly larger battery compared to the OnePlus 10T. However, because of the power efficiency of the new chip, I would say that I'm getting roughly about the same battery life on both devices.
The OnePlus 10 Pro comes with very fast 80 watt super VOOC charging and you have the ability to wireless charge, not only regular charging, but you can also get very fast wireless charging with AirVOOC 50 watts. That is a charger that you're going to have to get separately. You also have reverse wireless charging on the OnePlus 10 Pro. The OnePlus 10T unfortunately does not have wireless charging, but it does have faster wired charging, up to 150 watts. What does that mean in your day-to-day? Well, on the OnePlus 10T, you'll be able to get 100% charge in just 19 minutes. On the OnePlus 10 Pro, a 100% charge is going to take around 32 minutes.
Personally speaking, I would pick the wireless charging with 80 watts charging, which is still very fast compared to 150 watt charging without wireless charging. But in either case, the chargers are included out of the box, which is a big plus in this day and age. For audio, we have stereo speakers on both devices, one in the earpiece and one bottom-firing. And both of them do support Dolby Atmos. In my listening, both of these sound really good. And they are about the same.
The software side of things is also where the two devices differ. We do have OxygenOS 12.1, which is based upon Android 12. OxygenOS has been a little bit controversial recently because it has become more and more like ColorOS, which I know a lot of people don't like. Personally, I do quite like ColorOS. I think it has come a long way. However, it seems like OnePlus has kind of taken all that feedback onboard and they're trying to bring back the Oxygen experience that people like.
So with OxygenOS 13, which is coming soon, first on the OnePlus 10 Pro, then on the OnePlus 10T, you are going to be getting lots of updates. And OnePlus are calling it the Aquamorphic Design. Can't tell you too much about it as yet. I would like to try it out myself. But hopefully, OnePlus will be bringing more of that Oxygen experience that the fans know and love to the OnePlus devices very soon.
Finally, let's talk about pricing. So the OnePlus 10T comes in at the same price as the OnePlus 10 Pro. Actually, (record scratching) scrap that as just over an hour before the official launch of the OnePlus 10T, and OnePlus have actually given me updated pricing, which is (fingers snapping) and which is also quite unprofessional doing it so last minute. But anyway, the good news is that the OnePlus 10T is actually going to be coming in at quite a competitive price, unlike what they had initially planned.
And although with the OnePlus 10 Pro, you are getting lots of advantages, you're getting a better display, you're getting better cameras, you're getting wireless charging, more premium build, and of course, that Alert Slider, which has now gone on the OnePlus 10T. But on the OnePlus 10T, you will be getting better overall performance, and you are going to be getting that 160 watt fast-charging, all at that new more competitive price of around 630 pounds.
So if the features on the OnePlus 10 Pro are still important to you, that is an option here in the UK and UA. You don't have that option in the US. But if you're after a powerful device which is going to be really, really fast and does have some good overall features, then I think that the OnePlus 10T is coming in at quite a competitive price, both in the UK, as well as the US.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: en(upbeat music)- The OnePlus 10T is here, and it looks a lot likethe OnePlus 10 Pro.However, there are lots ofsignificant differences. What's up, guys?Saf here, on SuperSafTV, and let's go ahead, break all of these differencesdown SuperSaf style, look at some camera samplesand see which one of thesemay be right for you.So let's initially start offwith the build and design. As you can see, thedesign is quite similar. We have a similar cameramodule and overall look. The key difference on the back isthat on the OnePlus 10 Pro,we do have a ridgearound the camera module. On the OnePlus 10T, the backglass does kind of curve inand blend into the camera module.Size-wise as well, they are very similar. We've got roughly about the same width. The OnePlus 10T is slightlytaller and slightly thicker. And they both also weighroughly about the same.We also have the same material at the backwith Gorilla Glass 5, however,we do have some different textures. The OnePlus 10 Pro has a mattefinish on both the colors, which I personally do prefer. On the OnePlus 10T, the blackversion has a matte finish, but this green version, which they call Jade Green, does have this glossy finish, which I'm personallynot too much of fan onbecause it does attractlots of fingerprints. Now, the frame. So the OnePlus 10 Pro doeshave an aluminum frame, which is quite premium. The OnePlus 10T actuallyhas a plastic frame. This is something thatthey didn't really mentiontoo much on and justkind of brushed past it.So for a premium flagshipto have a plastic frame,I mean, I'm personallynot too keen on that. However, if you did watchJerryRigEverything's bend teston the OnePlus 10 Pro,you would've seen that itcompletely snapped in half.(phone cracking)Now, that's despite the factthat it's got an aluminum frame,so I'm not sure how theOnePlus 10T will fare. We're going to have to waitfor Zack's test on that. But generally speaking, having an aluminum framecompared to a plastic frame,I don't know.Personally, I don't mind plasticif it's for the back material, but for the frame, not so sure. Now, while we're on thetopic of the frames, might as well just mentionthat the OnePlus 10Tdoes not have an Alert Slider. An Alert Slider issomething that's really madeOnePlus phones unique somewhat, and they have not included this. The reason being thatthere is no internal space.I'm not sure how you guys feel about that.Personally speaking, I don'tuse the Alert Slider too much, but I know a lot of people use it a lotand it really kind ofidentifies OnePlus as a brand. But now, this is gone. Now, neither of the devices havean official water anddust resistance rating. However, they do seem to be watertight.I'm personally not going tobe doing any tests on these.Right now, let's flip these aroundand talk about the displays. So first up, we have a flatdisplay on the OnePlus 10T.We've got a curved displayon the OnePlus 10 Pro.The OnePlus 10 Pro alsohas Gorilla Glass Victuscompared to Gorilla Glass5 on the OnePlus 10T.So it is going to be a bit more durable. And both devices have slim bezels. However, you do get aslightly larger displayon the OnePlus 10 Probecause of its curved sides. Now, another key differencethat you're going to noticestraight away is with the punch outs.So we do have a side punch outfor the front-facing cameraon the OnePlus 10 Pro.On the OnePlus 10T, we'vegot it in the center.I think this really comesdown to personal preference.I don't mind one or the other. They both do make for someinteresting wallpapers.I'll try to leave some linked down belowif you want to downloadthem for yourselves.Anyway, the OnePlus 10 Prodoes get some big advantages.Firstly, it is a high resolution displaywith Quad HD Plus ratherthan full HD Plus. This is going to give youa higher pixel densitymaking things sharper. It's also a brighter displaywith a peak brightness of around1,300 nits versus 950 nits. And finally, although both devicesdo support a high 120 Hertz refresh rate, which makes everything super smooth, the OnePlus 10 Pro has an LTPO display. What does that mean?Well, it means that itcan adapt the refresh ratedepending on what you're viewing, and it can go all the waydown to around one Hertz. So when you've gotstatic content like this,it doesn't really have torefresh 120 times a second. It can just do that one times a second, and it's going to save on battery life. The OnePlus 10T does nothave an LTPO display,so it can go down just to 60 Hertz. So for all of those reasons, the OnePlus 10 Pro does get theoverall win for the display. Now, both displays have anin-display fingerprint scanner, which is really fastand works really well. This is an optical in-displayfingerprint scanner. However, the positioningis a little bit different. The OnePlus 10 Pro has itmore towards the middle, whereas the OnePlus 10T is alittle bit more at the bottom.Personally speaking, I doprefer the OnePlus 10 Pro.It's a bit more comfortableand easier to reach, especially with this large display. You do have to kind of reachdown on the OnePlus 10T.- Hey, SideSaf here again.Did you miss me?You know what I'm going to do?Just going to remind you ifyou're enjoying the video so farand you haven't already,- Okay.- then be sure to subscribeand hit that bell icon. And maybe also smash that like buttonfor the YouTube algorithm. That's it from me, guys, I'll be back.- You heard the man, SideSaf,you've not see him in sometime, but if you're not already, then maybe consider subscribingand hitting that bell icon. There's going to be lots morecontent like this coming up.Let's now move on to the cameras. So at first glance,it might seem like thedevices have similar cameras, but they are completely different. On the OnePlus 10 Pro, we have a primary. We have a high resolutionultra wide camera. And we also have adedicated telephoto camera, which is going to give you optical zoom.On the OnePlus 10T, wehave a primary camera. We have just an eightmegapixel ultra wide camera. And then, we have a twomegapixel macro camera.Yes, they actually wentahead and put that in there.I'm assuming it's just tokind of fill in the circlesbecause they were taking thedesign from the OnePlus 10 Pro.But anyway, the other thingthat you'll notice as wellis that there is no Hasselbladbranding on the OnePlus 10T.This is here on the OnePlus 10 Pro.Now, how much of adifference does this make?Well, on the interface of things,it's pretty similar on both. You do have the orange shutter buttonfor the OnePlus 10 Pro for example, but in terms of the user experience,I don't think there's going to bea significant amount of difference. What about the photos themselves?Well, from the primary camera,I think both, actually you do pretty good. You do have more of aHasselblad stylized lookon the OnePlus 10 Pro,which you may prefer. But realistically speaking,I think you're going to getgood results with both of these. The OnePlus 10 Pro does havea slightly larger sensor sizeand this would result inslightly better nighttime images. So you can see on this example, the text is sharper hereon the OnePlus 10 Pro.For the ultra wide camera,it's an easy win for the OnePlus 10 Pro.Having that larger sensor size meansthat you're going toget a lot more detail. You can see on this example here,in the foreground especially, the OnePlus 10T is a little bit soft.Whereas we've got lots moredetail on the OnePlus 10 Pro.The OnePlus 10 Pro alsohas a wider field of view. You can go all the wayup to around 150 degrees, which does give you some distortion, but it's nice to have that option there. You also have a bit of a fisheyemode, which you might like. And when it comes to zoom, the OnePlus 10T does nothave any optical zoom.So you do have digitalzoom versus optical zoom. And of course, opticalzoom is just going to win.So the OnePlus 10 Pro, as youcan see on this example here,is going to give you3.3 times optical zoom, giving you a sharper result. And this is a lot more obviouswhen you go up to 10 times.Where the OnePlus 10Pro is going to be usinga combination of optical and digital zoom, whereas the OnePlus 10T isjust going to be using digital zoom. Now, the OnePlus 10T does havethat two megapixel macro camera. So if you do want to take macro images, then you will get better macroimages on the OnePlus 10T,but they're not going to be greatbecause they're goingto be at two megapixels. Now, on previous OnePlus devices, the ultra wide cameradoubled up as a macro cameraand was able to refocuscloser to subjects. And this resulted inexcellent macro shots. However, this is not hereon the OnePlus 10 Pro.I'm not sure why OnePlushaven't included it,but hey, if you like twomegapixel macro shots, then the OnePlus 10Twill be the one for you. When it comes to video, the OnePlus 10 Pro,you can film 4K up to 120 frames a second. You also have the abilityto film up to 8K video. And overall, the video quality, again,is better on the OnePlus 10 Pro.You've got better dynamic range. So if you are looking for thedevice with better cameras, then it's an easy pick here. The OnePlus 10 Pro doeshave overall better cameraswith a better all-round camera package. Now, having said that,I do think there are other deviceswith better cameras at this price range. But if you're looking at the OnePlus 10Tversus the OnePlus 10 Pro,yes, the OnePlus 10 Pro is better. For the front-facing cameras, you do have a high resolutionon the OnePlus 10 Pro,but realistically speaking, these would not be mypicks for selfie cameras. They are okay, but really flat, nothing special on either of these. And both of them alsoonly film up to 10 ATPfrom the front-facing camera, which in my opinion for2022 for flagship devicesis really not acceptable. The images are really flatwith not great dynamic range.I would not pick either ofthese for the selfie cameras, but hey, that's what you have.So it looks like we'vehad a lot of wins herefor the OnePlus 10 Pro,but one area where theOnePlus 10T really shinesis when it comes to performance. The OnePlus 10 Pro is poweredby the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.The OnePlus 10T is powered by the latest8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. You can also get moreRAM on the OnePlus 10T,up to 16 gigabytes, which will mean that you can haveup to 30 apps open in the background. And officially, havingthe 8 Plus Gen 1 will meanthat you're going to get 10%better performance in the CPU,the GPU, as well as 30%better power efficiency. The OnePlus 10T also has 8% better coolingcompared to the 10 Pro.And in terms of day-to-dayperformance, what does this mean?Well, the 10 Pro is still really goodin terms of performance. It's going to get throughpretty much every taskthat you throw at it.But the OnePlus 10T is justgoing to have a slight edge, especially when it comes to thingslike gaming and sustained performance. Now, I'm personally not a gamer myself, but my buddy, ThunderE, from BooredAtWork is,and he has an in-detail gamingtest on the OnePlus 10T.So if you're interested to check that out,I'll leave that link downin the description below. The OnePlus 10T also has15 antennas compared to justthe six on the OnePlus 10 Pro.So when it comes to connectivity, especially if you're in crowdedareas and things like that, the OnePlus 10T is goingto get a bit of an edge. Now, let's talk about the batteries. So the OnePlus 10 Pro doeshave a slightly larger batterycompared to the OnePlus 10T.However, because of the powerefficiency of the new chip,I would say I'm gettingroughly about the samebattery life on both devices. They are both really goodand get you through theday absolutely fine. The OnePlus 10 Pro comeswith very fast 80 wattsuperVOOC charging. And you've also got theability to wireless charge, not only regular charging, but you can get veryfast wireless chargingwith AirVOOC 50 watts. That is a charger that you'regoing to have to get separately. And you also havereverse wireless chargingon the OnePlus 10 Pro.The OnePlus 10Tunfortunately does not havewireless charging. However, it does havefaster wired charging,up to 150 watts. What does that mean in your day-to-day?Well, on the OnePlus 10T,you'll be able to get100% in just 19 minutes. On the OnePlus 10 Pro,a 100% charge is going totake around 32 minutes. How much does that matter to you?Personally speaking,I would pick the wirelesscharging with 80 watts charging, which is still very fast, compared to 150 watt chargingwithout wireless charging. But in either case, the chargers are included out of the box, which is a big plus in this day and age.For the audio, we've got stereospeakers on both devices, one
