**My Thoughts on "Jad Air"**
I have to say that I feel like some particularly thrilling elements could be fleshed out more, like the trials element could have been a whole book if I'm being honest and I feel like maybe should have been a whole book. Like, not included within this book you know personally speaking but I'm still really entertained by this book. I'm really flying through it, I just can't wait to see how it ends and what in the world is happening.
I also feel like there are so many secrets that Sylvia is keeping, half the secret she doesn't even know she's keeping from herself. It's like, and then Aaron has secrets and then like all the politics and stuff. I'm just, I'm curious. It was a little hard to keep up with everything at times because there were just so many different plot points.
But despite my issues with pacing and plotting in part two, this book really had a fantastic main character. I really appreciated how much we focused on who she was, her motivations, being alongside her as she began to process not only the trauma of her past but also the secrets of her past and her family. That aspect of this book I really appreciated.
I also feel like the author spent a lot of time in part one creating really believable friendships and different types of connections. Um, and I really enjoyed those chapters too. And just in part one I felt like the pacing was really methodical, Au really took their time, kind of growing and building a lot of different things with that in mind going into part two.
However, going into part two, I did feel it read very quickly, but I feel like the inclusion of this competition and just there was a lot of plot elements that were introduced or covered in part two, and I'm not quite sure enough of them or like any of them got enough time to make them feel like they had the oomph that I feel like they needed if that makes sense.
Another thing I noticed was that while the romantic complicated romantic relationship that was present in this book continued to flourish in part two, other aspects that I really loved and appreciated like the friendships kind of fell by the wayside. It was a little disappointing to see them take a backseat at times.
But despite my issues with pacing and plotting, I still say I really enjoyed this book. I read it super quickly, I honestly could not put it down. I'm really obsessed with the enemies-to-lovers and romantic pairing within this book if you want a true slowburn, true true true enemies-to-lovers, I hate you but I couldn't stop thinking about you. Romantic pairings like this is the book for you.
It's not perfect as I illustrated, but it still doesn't take away how much I was entertained by this. And I'm definitely going to be checking out book two. Also, feel like some of my issues with this can be easily resolved in later installments, and I feel like the strengths definitely outweigh the weaknesses particularly with this author's writing style.
Personally, I'm just optimistic about this series, and it really was so much fun to read. And that's what matters most to me. I was on the edge of my seat anytime our two main characters were in the same room together, and that's why you should be picking this book up.
**A Delicious Loaf of Bread**
I made a loaf of bread today, and it didn't turn out terrible. It's a little flat, but it does taste pretty good. I'm not going to lie, and I think I'm going to have a bit for a snack right now, but also I'm going to sit down with my afternoon cup of coffee and finish my book because I have about 50 pages left.
**The End**
Overall, I've really enjoyed this book. Let's chat about my overall thoughts and feelings about this book so I would say kind of... in summary the beginning, I'm still very much obsessed with... and I'm happy to report that the end, like last bit was also very good very explosive, and I can't wait for the next installment.
I do think there were pacing and plotting issues, kind of in part two. But I stand by that. I feel like there was a fantastic main character, really appreciated how much we focused on who she was, her motivations being alongside her as she began to process not only the trauma of her past but also the secrets of her past and her family.
I'm still very much optimistic about this series, and it really was so much fun to read. I would recommend this book. It's a lot of fun.
