**First Impressions: A Budget-Friendly Android Phone Review**
I would say that this is just a 600 MHz processor and it's running this game, which I think is a big thing. I would say it's not very smooth but again, playable. Just to show you, let me get out and let me kill those zombies now, let me show you the keyboard of this one, and I'm going to hit add text and type, we do get uh this predictive text over here, and uh, the keyboard is pretty large. I would say that you shouldn't have a problem with it.
I also want to try the voice dictation feature that we have in Ice cream Sandwich. This is a test of the voice dictation, and as you can see, it also works fine. There's a little bit of lag, but it's okay. I would say overall, in terms of the general UI while on this phone, I did not face any lags or that at times when you're heavily multitasking. Yes, they can be a half-second delay or something like that.
But overall, I was satisfied with the performance of this phone considering the budget price for which it sells. It's an okay phone, I would say. Sadly, I couldn't do any extensive testing with the battery. But this 1,230 mAh battery should be able to last you for a full day. The battery as of now is on 66%, and let us look at the battery figures; we can go in Battery and Battery use.
As you can see, it's almost a day, and it's at 66%. The screen time I used this phone was 1 hour and 14 minutes. I did make some voice calls that's about 18 minutes, so I would say with average usage, you can easily last this phone for a day.
Now, let me also show you one more benchmark that we'll do. This is the Quadrant Standard Benchmark, and I'm running it for the first time. The quadrant Benchmark is done, and let's have a look at the scores. It says our device got a score of 1,253, which is typical for a single-core phone.
The breakup of the total score is: CPU - 971, memory - 971, I/O - 2824, 2D Graphics - 400, and 3D Graphics - 1099. So that's for the Quadrant Benchmark.
One more thing that I noticed is that you notice these touch-sensitive buttons at the bottom of the phone. That's back home, and the multitasking bar at night; they do not glow, so you need to get used to it. It's a bummer that they don't glow at night, but again if you're using the phone, you get used to it.
Overall, the phone is very comfortable to hold, and it's a great phone for someone who doesn't like large phones. It fits comfortably in your hand, and it's also pretty light; it weighs just around 100 grams, so it's easier to hold.
The speakerphone performance is also pretty good. To show you, let me run this SAV app, and I'll play some random song now. As you can see, it's pretty loud. I'm going to lower the volume a little bit, and if you place the phone down; the volume increases because it bounces the surface.
In terms of the speaker quality, I would say it's pretty okay and pretty loud. So in that regard, I have no issues with the same. How do I rate this phone? This is an ideal phone if you're on a tight budget and you're not a demanding Android user. If you are a casual user, then this phone will suit you fine because as you can see; you can also do casual gaming with it.
It does that pretty fine, and also I would say I did not find many lags or something like that while general operations of the phone. But yes if you do heavy multitasking; you might get a lag of a second or two. For the price at which this phone sells here in India, this phone is currently selling at around 12,500 or so. So I would say it's a nice entry-level phone from HTC and we do get Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.
**Conclusion**
