**The Galaxy Note 5 Leaks: A 3D Mockup and Renders**
In recent days, there have been several leaks and rumors surrounding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The latest leak comes from French Tech blogger Steve Hemster, who has shared a 3D mockup of the device based on product schematics. According to Hemster, the leak is based on a third-party case manufacturer that had access to advanced design information.
The design of the device bears resemblance to the Galaxy S6, with the notable difference being the tapered profile on the back. This curved design is reminiscent of the Xaiomi Mi Note Pro, which has become a popular choice among smartphone enthusiasts. The dimensions of the mockup seem to be close to those of the Note 4, suggesting that the Note 5 will retain a similar display size.
The thickness of the device appears to be around 10.2mm, although this includes the protruding camera lens. This would suggest that the phone's body could be made thinner by removing some of the extra material. However, there is no clear indication from the leak about the materials used in the construction of the Note 5.
**Renders from HD Blog**
In addition to Hemster's leak, an Italian Tech site called HD blog has published a set of renders for the Galaxy Note 5. According to the site, the renders are based on information provided by unspecified sources. The images show the same curved back as Hemster's mockup, with a metallic frame sandwiched between two panes of glass.
The renders have sparked debate among fans and critics, with some expressing disappointment that the device may not have a removable battery. In recent years, many Samsung devices have moved away from this feature in favor of more streamlined designs. However, it's worth noting that this is a move that Samsung has made before, and it's likely that they will continue to do so.
**The Future of Smartphones**
One of the key factors driving this shift towards non-removable batteries is the desire for manufacturers to balance their design goals with user needs. As our viewing habits change, manufacturers are starting to prioritize features like portability, durability, and performance over removable batteries and microSD card support.
This trend is likely to continue in the future, as manufacturers look for ways to differentiate themselves from their competitors and attract a wider range of customers. In this sense, the Galaxy Note 5 leak can be seen as an opportunity for Samsung to showcase their design vision and create a compelling product that meets the needs of most users.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthis episode of Android weekly is brought to you by domain.com so the question we got to ask is are these more recent leaks of the Galaxy Note 5 legitimate or are they a sad attempt at a blogger to get attention I got some thoughts on that but let's just take a second and talk about leaks and rumors I had read in the comments from last week's show that basically most of the show was all leaks and rumors and this is a new show not the leaks and rumor show the problem is with 24-hour media there is an enormous demand for information about leaks and rumors and if we don't answer them or meet that demand to some extent people are just going to go elsewhere to get that so I consider it my job to report those leaks and rumors and try as best I can to sort them out for you sift through them and try and gauge with you how legitimate those leaks and rumors are so that being said let's dig in the video shown here published via on leaks by French Tech blogger display the 10.2 mm thickness of the model seems rather large But it includes the protruding camera so the phone's body could be a couple of millim thinner now there's no clue in this 3D model about reading the comments from the Galaxy Note 5 Rumor show I did on Saturday where many of you had said that you'd be really upset if there was no removable battery on the Note 5 and you wouldn't buy it if it lacked a removable battery but I think you might want to accept that that's really where all smartphones are likely going from the manufacturer's point of view they are trying to predict what 80% of their buyers will do 80% of the time and 80% of the time they're not going to remove their batteries or need to remove their batteries this is a geek power user thing as is micr SD support all that kind of stuff so I think the reality is that's where it's going and it also gives manufacturers another upgrade option right so you have the 16 32 64 gigabyte options where they can encourage uh
