Apple's One More Thing Event - What to expect

The Host's Excitement for the Upcoming Apple Event

Hey guys, it's Justine and I'm on my podcast set up today because I just recorded one with my sister. If you guys aren't subscribed to our podcast channel, you should go check it out on youtube.com/samebrain, and also subscribe on Apple podcasts. But this video is to talk about the November 10th event, and I know it seems like they have had events pretty much every week at this point, but I mean, I'm not complaining at all. I think this is the one though that we've been waiting for.

The host is excited about the upcoming Apple event, titled "One More Thing," which is rumored to bring several new products and updates to Apple's lineup. She hopes that the event will include the launch of AirPods Studio and Air Tags, as well as new Silicon Macs. The host believes that these are some of the most anticipated announcements, and she's eager to see what Apple has in store for us.

The host recalls Steve Jobs' famous phrase "One More Thing" which he used to announce new products during his keynote speeches. She remembers getting very emotional just thinking about all the times Steve had said those words and then announced something incredible. The host decided to look up all of the times that "One More Thing" was used to announce a product, starting from 2005 when Apple introduced the iPod Shuffle.

The host has compiled a list of all the times "One More Thing" was used by Steve Jobs to introduce new products, including:

* 2005: The iPod Shuffle

* 2004: A 30-inch cinema display and iPod mini colors

* 2003: A Power Mac G5 and a 12-inch PowerBook G4

* 2002: An iMac Q4 and an iPod with Windows compatibility

* 2001: A PowerBook G4

* 2000: A new graphical interface called Aqua and the Power Mac G4 cube, which is one of her favorite Apple products.

* 1999: Apple Airport and a 22-inch cinema display (iMac DV) and iMovie.

The host finds it impressive that Apple has been able to introduce so many innovative products over the years. She's also excited about the possibility of an ARM-based Mac, which would mark a significant shift in Apple's chip technology.

Rumors and Speculation

The host has read several rumors and speculation about what Apple might announce at the "One More Thing" event. According to some sources, the first two Apple Silicon MacBooks will be a new 13-inch MacBook Air and a 13-inch MacBook Pro. There are also rumors that there will be an iMac released in 2021, along with the return of a 12-inch MacBook.

The host is particularly interested in the possibility of a 14-inch MacBook, which has been widely rumored for several years. She's not sure if this is what she wants the "One More Thing" to be, but it has been talked about and widely speculated about for quite some time. Another rumor that caught her attention is the possibility of a smaller version of MacPro, with half the size of the current model.

The host has had experience working on her 16-inch MacBook, which she loves for its power and extra screen real estate. She's also been impressed by the speed and efficiency of her recent MacPro project, which made it possible for her to produce high-quality content without much processing power. She thinks that a smaller version of MacPro would be an exciting development, but she's not sure if it could have helped her achieve the same level of productivity this year.

The Host's Anticipation and Excitement

The host is super hyped for the event and can't wait to see what Apple has in store for us. She finds it interesting that November 10th is also the launch date of the X-Box consoles, which will make for a very exciting day in tech. The host promises to be back with another video soon, but for now, she's excited to share her thoughts and speculation about what Apple might announce at the "One More Thing" event.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: en- Hey guys,it's Justine and I'm onmy podcast set up todaybecause I just recordedone with my sister.If you guys aren't subscribedto our podcast channel,you should go check it outon youtube.com/samebrain,and also subscribe on Apple podcasts.But this video is to talkabout the November 10th event.And I know it seems like theyhave had events pretty muchevery week at this point, but I mean,I'm not complaining at all.I think this is the one thoughthat we've been waiting for.Now it's titled One More Thing,but I am kind of hoping thatthey do show us a few things.I am very hopeful thatthey will maybe launchthose rumored AirPods studioand then maybe those Air Tags.I feel like we keep reading about them,but not actually seeing them.Like those rumors aresuggesting that they're there,but where are they?Maybe we could use an AirTag to find the Air Tags.Anyway, most of therumors are suggesting thatthis One More Thing eventis gonna be focusingon the new Silicon Macs,which would make sensebecause they did say thatthey were gonna to be launchingthem by the end of the yearand according to mycalculations on my Apple watch,the end of the year is nearing.It's likely the thingis gonna be a few thingsand then maybe one big or onelittle surprise at the endusing Steve's old catch phrase.So I looked up the last timethey used the One More Thingand it was for the iPhone 10.Tim said we have greatrespect for these wordsand we don't use them lightly.I actually remember thatand remember getting very emotional,just thinking about all thetimes that Steve had said thatand then announced something incredible.Now before that, I decidedto look up all of the timesthat One More Thing wasused to announce a product.So before the iPhone 10,it was actually in 2015to launch Apple music,and then it was 2014 for the Apple watch,2011 for iTunes Match, 2010for MacBook Air, FaceTime,and second gen Apple TV.In 2009, it was iPod Nano and 2008 it wasfor the next gen MacBook,in 2007 Safari for Windows,in 2006 MacBook Pro and Apple TV.You guys, should I keep going?Because like, I definitely,I think I'm gonna keep going,but I just don't know ifthese are all accurate.I read it on the internet.You can't believe everythingthat you read on the internet,but they sound pretty accurate.Feel free to correct mein the comments below.In 2005, the iPod Shuffleand TV shows on iTunes.In 2004, the 30-inch cinemadisplay and iPod mini colors.In 2003, a Power Mac G fiveand a 12 inch PowerBook G4.2002, the iMac Q4 and iPodwith Windows compatibility.In 2001, it was the PowerBook G4; in 2000,the new graphical interface called Aquaand the Power Mac G4 cube,which I absolutely love this thing.This thing is beautiful.Like look at it, it's a piece of work.It's a piece of art andlast but not least in 1999was Apple Airport and the22-inch cinema display, iMac DV,and iMovie.I can't believe iMoviewas launched in 1999.That's kind of wild.So already this year,Apple has announced thefourth gen iPad air,the eighth gen iPad, theApple watch series six,the new iPhone 12, the home pod mini,and really the last piece of the puzzleis this ARM-based Mac thatthey've talking about since WWDC.So Apple had announced thatthey were gonna start buildingtheir own custom chips andbuilding them in-house allowsthem to bring improvedperformance and more efficiencyto all of their devices.I mean this really makessense because pretty much allof their other chips and everythingis pretty much made by them.So they're able to custom tailor it to allof the proprietary software and hardware.I mean, I remember thetransition from IBM's power PCto Intel back in 2005,when Steve announcedthis huge change over at WWDC.Now this was really big news at the time.And it did take quite a while for allof the devices to switch over.I think in the keynote,they said that they were tryingto get the turnover of allof their computers to AppleSilicon in the next two years,which would kind of make sense,but it's actually notthat much time, really,if you think about it.So the rumors that I've readabout this event are sayingthat the first two Apple SiliconMacBooks will be a new 13-inch MacBook Air, anda 13-inch MacBook Pro.And then there's also rumorssaying that there's gonnabe an iMac that's set to release in 2021,along with the returnof a 12-inch MacBook.We've seen so many rumorsabout a 14-inch MacBookthat I'm hoping that that'llbe the One More Thing.I mean, is that what I wantthe One More Thing to be?I'm not sure if I do, butit has been talked aboutand widely rumored for quitea while, so maybe it is.I just feel like it'sgonna be something else.I just don't think that'sgonna be the One More Thing.I've also become so used toworking on my 16-inch MacBook,that the 13s almost feellike I'm using an iPhone.I just love having the powerand the extra screen real estate,and honestly the amountof stuff that I editon that MacBook, I'mjust thinking about itand I must say Justine, paton the back, I'm impressed.So another rumor that Isaw that was kind of coolis that they might actually be workingon a smaller version ofMacPro, like half of the size.But I honestly don't thinkthat I could have been ableto put out nearly as muchcontent that I have this yearif it wasn't for working on that MacPro.It is so fast, so efficient that I'm ableto do so many different thingswithout even making a dentin the processing powerthat this thing has.It is super impressive.I think I really probablyshould do a follow-up videoon how I'm loving this thing,but I feel like it kindof goes without saying.Anyways, I'm super hyped for the eventand I can not wait as always.It's also kind of crazybecause Apple has zero chill ontheir launch date becauseNovember 10th is also the launchof the X-Box consoles.So it is going to be avery exciting day in tech.So I will see you guysback here probably tomorrowfor another video.(upbeat music)\n"
