So, in today's video, I want to talk about some exclusive details in regards to redesigns coming to the OS.

The latest rumors in regards to redesigns coming to the iPhone with iOS 18 are starting to surface. Mark Gman once again mentions that Control Center should get an update with iOS 18 this year. According to Mark Gman, it will receive its first update in a long time, but it feels like we've heard this so many times now right with iOS 16 with iOS 17 and here we are with iOS 18. It is rumored that Control Center should get an update in a refresh with this next update, and I'm hoping this to be true. We're not exactly sure what Apple could be working on Mac rumor has also confirmed that Apple has been testing different versions of control center for quite some time.

But hopefully this could be the year where Apple will redesign the control center or at least allow users to have more customization controls over the control center on iPhone. Now, the settings application is also rumored to get a refresh this year making it a lot easier to navigate. In terms of redesign, it looks like Settings and Control Center should get a refresh this year with the next major update iOS 18.

Next, I want to shift my attention over to iMessage. We already know that Apple is working on expanding iMessage this year with RCS support coming to the iPhone. But Mac rumor has shared with us an exclusive text effects feature that could be coming to the iPhone with iOS 18. We already know that Apple is working on a ton of AI integration for the operating system, and when I first heard about this, it makes a ton of sense of very Apple like.

Let's say you long press on a word, AI would help you highlight a word so we have a sentence here before we send it this message right here, and we can long press for the word wow there, and perhaps add some type of Animation or effects before we send it. This is what I envision this would be a feature shared with us from Mac rumors, and I think it makes a ton of sense as Apple continues to expand on messages. Now, last but not least, I want to talk about some of the latest unfortunate news in regards to AI coming to the iPhone with iOS 18. According to Mark Gman and I have to say I saw this one coming, Apple is betting on some of the latest new AI features to encourage users to upgrade their iPhones this year to the latest devices. As many of the on-device AI capabilities will only be possible on the latest iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max which are the only two iPhones with the Apple A17 Pro chip.

So, keep in mind only iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will have exclusive AI on device features. It is important to mention that this is on-device features we're talking about not Cloud features so Siri and things like that will most likely still be capable and compatible with older iPhones but a lot of the new AI on-device task and features that you'll see with iOS 18 will most likely require the latest iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. So, basically excludes every single iPhone including the iPhone 15 and 15 plus because keep in mind the only devices with the Apple A7 Pro are the latest 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max and for iPads and Macs M1 will be required for on-device AI features and capabilities.

So, that's some unfortunate news but yeah that was to be expected.
