Foldable Phones and New iMacs

**The State of Smartphone Technology: A Look at the Latest Rumors and Trends**

It's hard to pick the best phone, and it's even harder to keep up with the latest technology. Every year, we're promised new and exciting features that will revolutionize the way we use our phones. But in reality, it often feels like we're stuck in a cycle of incremental updates rather than major breakthroughs.

One of the most frustrating aspects of smartphone technology is the gap between when something is announced and when it actually hits the market. It's not uncommon for new phones to arrive just a few weeks after their predecessor has been released. This can make it feel like Samsung, in particular, is releasing new phones at an alarming rate. According to some reports, HTC may be following suit, with plans to release new devices every two weeks.

The constant stream of new phone releases means that manufacturers have to constantly come up with new and innovative features to keep customers engaged. For some people, this can be a major turn-on, as they love playing around with the latest and greatest technology. For others, it may feel like a chore, as they struggle to keep up with the rapid pace of change.

The latest rumor in the tech world is that Samsung is working on a revolutionary new phone that combines the best features of both tablets and smartphones. According to reports from Korean web portal D daum, Samsung is developing a "folding tablet smartphone hybrid" that can transform from an 8 or 9-inch tablet into a 4 or 5-inch smartphone by folding it in half. This concept has been around for a while, but if Samsung can make it work, it could be a game-changer.

The idea of a phone that transforms like this is both exciting and terrifying. On the one hand, it's a brilliant solution to the problem of having two separate devices with different uses. On the other hand, it raises all sorts of questions about how it will be constructed, how it will work, and what kind of performance we can expect from such a device.

One of the most significant challenges facing Samsung is how thick the phone will end up being. If it's going to fold in half like this, it needs to be incredibly lightweight and flexible. This is something that no one has really seen before, so it's hard to say exactly what we can expect. But if Samsung can make it work, it could be a major step forward for the company.

The fact that this rumor hasn't been officially confirmed by Samsung yet is probably a sign that they're still working out the kinks. Even if it does happen in the next few years, it's likely to take some time before we see anything like this on the market. But as always, when it comes to tech rumors, it's hard to say exactly what will happen.

**The Future of Smartphone Technology: A Look at Bendy Phones**

Speaking of innovative features, have you heard about bendy phones? Also known as flexible displays, these screens are designed to stretch and fold without breaking. We've already seen this tech used in a few different devices, including the Samsung Galaxy Round and the HTC Gear Fit.

But now, according to reports from Korean web portal D daum, Samsung is working on taking it to the next level. The company is rumored to be developing a phone that can transform from an 8 or 9-inch tablet into a 4 or 5-inch smartphone by folding it in half.

While this concept has been around for a while, if Samsung can make it work, it could be a major game-changer. Just imagine being able to switch between different modes with the touch of a button – it's like something out of science fiction.

Of course, there are plenty of challenges facing Samsung as they work on this project. For one thing, they need to figure out how to make the screen flexible and durable enough to withstand repeated folding and unfolding. They also need to think about how the phone will perform in different modes – will it be able to handle intense gaming or video streaming when folded up?

Despite these challenges, if anyone can make bendy phones a reality, it's Samsung. And with their reputation for innovation and quality, we have high hopes that they'll be able to pull it off.

**The Verdict**

As always, the world of smartphone technology is constantly evolving. From new features like bendy screens to innovative designs like folding phones, there's no shortage of exciting developments on the horizon.

Whether you're a tech enthusiast or just someone who wants to stay up-to-date on the latest trends, it's hard not to get caught up in the excitement. And with companies like Samsung and HTC pushing the boundaries of what's possible, we can't wait to see what the future holds.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthis episode of TechnoBuffalo is brought to you by linda.com what's up everyone welcome back to another episode of rumor Roundup I'm your host John rers the show where I take every Tech rumor from the week and I look at them all on a smash them and I pick the three to five that I think are the most interesting up this week it's top of my mind cuz my IMAX on the fritz new IMAX might be coming gatch specs whatever the LG is going to pack into the little risk computer might be getting legit if you look at your brain new HTC1 M8 and you're like my phone's the newest I love you phone looks like you might not be the newest for long because the M9 Prime is coming and freaking bendy phones and tablets might be coming soon than you think as we round up let's start just rounding them up group hug there was a quick report before Apple's WWDC last week suggesting Apple was going to release a new immort portable iMac computer during the show now obviously it was all about software so that didn't happen but that rumor sticks around for a while and much like herpes it's hard to get rid of it doesn't seem to die Mac generation said recently that Apple plans to upgrade its IMAX next week which is pretty awesome this video comes out on Friday so if you're watching this sometime on Monday or so this week the new computers won't launch iOS 1070 of course the OS is still Super Beta we've been trying it it's very beta and set to launch sometime this fall however fret not they suggested apple is going to break from its ordinary tradition announcing the refresh earlier in the week on Tuesday and will instead release the device during the second half of the upcoming week computers are set to ship with slightly newer and slightly faster has well processors speculation though they might pack Thunderbolt two ports as well not giant upgrades really Apple will probably quietly release these though we do hope predictions of a cheaper iMac might come to fruition Apple also dropped the price of the entry level MacBook Air to 89 9 so it seems possible the same kind of move uh might be reflected in the new iMac family which would always be nice L money is always better although persistent rumors of a retina display iMac coming very soon are also very enticing so if you're like me you need to get a new iMac cuz something's up with my Wi-Fi and it will not connect I'm going to wait to see if a retino one comes out if you can wait you know probably do it uh you know a little spec bom so not going to make that big a difference but yeah it's your money you do what you want with it I'm not here to tell you you make the decisions with Google IO coming very quickly we're expecting a lot more information to drop about Android Wear and of course about devices like the super hot LG Gat and the one I can't wait for the freaking Moto 360 but we probably don't have to wait all that long because the leak and fall that has been turned on and we might know the full spec sheet of LG's upcoming wearable along with new pictures of the backside of the device and you always got to trust the backside it's got a big one and we know that they don't lie so let's go ahead and dive in on what this specs might be so first the device is going to adhere to the square form Factory LG is repeatedly teased in the past giving it uh additional kind of just regular smartwash feel on the inside though it's what a lot of folks are going to be paying attention to including this folk according to the document the gwat will sport a 400 Mah hour battery with standby time of 36 hours uh the LCD screen will be 1.65 in or 280X 280 while the device itself will reportedly be 37.9 by 46.5 by 9.95 mm that was a lot of millimet to remember uh diving further though the gwat will reportedly feature 4 gbes of onboard storage estimated 2hour charging time Bluetooth 4.0 and a 5 Pin micro USB contact on the back I can let that slip out of my mind now uh the spec sheet also further confirms some of the devices functionality uh through Android Wear like the ability to take memos send SMS dictate email all through voice Google actually shared a kind of a cool glimpse of what was like for designers using these different wearable form factors and it seems like we're going to get the full unveil coming soon at iio end of the month and I will be there and I'm excited so coming very very soon but that Moto 360 I just I can't look get another Smartwatch feel like I'm cheating on that Moto 360 I'm wearing a pebble and I feel dirty I feel like my Moto 360 is going to know what I did when I put my Pebble on in a dirty motel room Moto 360 don't worry baby you know I love you so you're a brand new HTC1 M8 you're just like oh oh look friends I got a new phone I waited two years and my phone's the freaking newest so boom not going to be the case very long we've been hearing rumors that wean M8 Prime was going to be coming but it appears that's been put on indefinite Hiatus according to a recent report but don't worry evidently HTC is hard at work on a successor uh to the existing mate and plans to launch his next Flagship during q1 2015 which is still kind of far away so according to the pretty reliable EV leaks HTC will launch its M9 and M9 Prime devices as the next full refreshes to the M1 family although inexplicably the prime version expected to launch first so that should be the flagship phone then the regular M8 sort of not the flagship phone I don't know how it's going to work uh with smartphones advancing it's such a just a crazy clip at appear anet makers might sort of adopt a new approach in releasing highend devices we take these rumors to be true and EV is really good track record HC might start the trend by unleashing a super phone type device at the highest end possible specs possible for just the hardcore fans and then release s of a normal flagor for the average consumer doesn't need like 97 cores I know not possible John you can't have 97 cores I know it's just an exaggeration please don't yell at me uh right now companies like to release a flagship and then follow that up with a mid-range device with water down specs this news approach though could essentially replace the flagship with a prime iteration and the mid-range with your typical Flagship so that was a lot of stuff are just still with me it's a crazy model but more phones more specs more better and more quicker releases so I don't know you just you can always get a new phone in a few months it seems like should I wait should I not wait something new is always coming it's hard to pick the best phone I think we have to get used to knowing that you're not going to have the newest phone for like you know a week you go back a couple years you know you can get a new Samsung phone like honestly every other week and it kind of seems like they space out a little bit now it's every two weeks and maybe HTC's kind of going down that same road I don't know but looking like it's going to be kind of soon I was really looking forward to the ma Prime with what it's shaping into we saw pictures of it and all that kind of stuff we don't know what the reasons are but I'm kind of happy M9 is coming new phones mean new things to play with and I love to play with toys I have bad Tech ad and like more shiny this screen has that much resolution so I I'm excited are you excited are you annoyed HTC I love to hear your thoughts leave in the comments located you know where it's located before we get to the next RoR I want to
