Testing the Cable: A Experiment in Hope and Frustration

I'm home for the night, signing off in a minute guys but as promised I'm going to test this cable real quick let's turn both PCs on just for testing purposes as you know and well let's go baby wish me luck this det i mean i'm gonna try to stream tomorrow night no matter what but this determines whether i'm truly pleased with with my stream tomorrow night because this camera needs to work and for whatever reason it does not work i can always use his webcam as a temporary workaround so i don't know could be worse that's my macbook which i'll use for later working on some projects and all right so this is the logitech m705 an extremely basic mouse an extremely basic mouse but i'll say it again the main reason i got this mouse is because i want something very basic i want something that i know is going to last for a while in regards to battery life and i don't charge it like every two nights grab a quick screwdriver for this oh traditional batteries how cute oh my god it's so light and so small but that's okay i don't need anything fancy you know it's actually pretty sharp looking there it is the logitech m705 not bad not bad slide the cover off from the bottom let's open up these batteries the positive side is on the same side each side that is very interesting yeah you don't see that often now we should have power cool we have power there might be a unifying receiver on this computer ready i forget now where is the unifying receiver so it is near the batteries so definitely do that oh here we go look at that you can barely see it it's kind of tucked in right there let's pull it out boom let's plug it into the shimmy pc all right that's plugged in and we should get some kind of input yep there it goes cool boom right there i love when a product just works and is that not a beautiful wallpaper and it looks great over there too so portrait landscape you gotta love it okay so i knew that was gonna work let's get some lights up in here there you go much better but the true test is this will this work please work i need you to work because it has to be a cable issue i mean it has to be right i don't know what else it could be unless the micro hdmi mechanism is failing on the inside of the camera and god i hope that's not the case that would make me so frustrated oh my god this cable's long hopefully it's not too long to carry the source yeah data micro hdmi is plugged in over there and now i don't want to unplug the wrong cable pretty sure it's the top one so let's plug this in the input okay all right the moment of truth using the new mouse ironically i think it's gonna open over there let's go to what oh obs just did that thing the elgato just did that thing where it crashes my pc welcome to windows ladies and gentlemen i'm really glad that happened live it's such a os terrible all right we're back thankfully that was a quick one all right clicking on you know what let's just do this the irl tab please show my camera which is pointing over there so three two oh wait the camera's not even on i guess that would help huh there we go okay oh my god oh thank god it is working as you can see oh thank you thank you thank you look how good it looks too god oh my god that makes me so happy and yes i'm going to investigate that issue pretty sure it's the elgato capture card causing some kind of pass-through issue with 144 hertz it's a problem on the internet i've seen other people deal with it but it's really frustrating when it quite literally crashes my stream so god i'm hoping that doesn't happen tomorrow night but yeah the camera is good so let's end it on a positive note thank you thank you thank you that makes me so happy so i guess i damaged the cable in the process of moving things i don't know hey it happens that's two cables that died on me this week two cables what are the chances alright guys thank you so much for watching hopefully i'll see you live on youtube youtube.com nope don't even need to tell you the url that's the beauty of it you don't even need to try to find me i'm always gonna be in that left sidebar one of these i think that side for you guys guys i'm pretty sure you know how to find a live stream so i'll just i'll just leave it at that god that makes me happy hey guys thank you so much i hope you had a great week great weekend whenever wherever you're watching this video and i'll see you later you're awesome and i like it peace

now but i'll tour it up later you know i'll do a tour everything was fine right got my new camera mounted today i love it it's a very narrow monopod that clamps in the back of my desk get it all hooked up camera's working fine move some cables camera's not working at all now in terms of loosen something mom it's the most basic explanation in the world i've tried to check i've tried it yeah i've tried different capture cards it's working with my console so i know so i'm a capture card i'll figure it out later i do i'll figure i mean i ordered another cable just in case i actually happened to come across a bad displayport cable when i was getting my setup together guys that like never happens to me very rare anyway what did we get at olive garden if you can memorize everything go i got chicken and shrimp cabanero is that what it's called yeah dad got mozzarella sticks and wait what did he get for his entree well he went to all six too oh i got chicken out for you we're to do um weed control snow off snow blower we uh leaf flower so yeah i used to dislike go in a place like that but now i look forward to god you talk a lot i was talking about you the creeper isn't so let's just let's just put that aside for now making kirsten no does it count she's a hoe there's a chris is truly a hoe no she's not talking about like a favorite memory like something you guys did or whatever actually when we were dating we went to this canal and it was kind of romantic be careful it was fun did you no he just made it out yeah okay stop don't say made out but it was very it was a very touching moment for both of us not physically touching it was nice it was romantic i'm sorry i asked guys and then of course every disney's trip we've taken loved his name i love disney i was cheese pepperoni for a snack oh my god what is wrong with me honeycomb coffee some leftover chicken naki soup i'm actually going to heat this up tomorrow manana easy snack but of course i'm going to shoot tomorrow night i don't know if i mentioned this but this week's pigeons only vlog was over 3 hours long last week's was two hours and 45 minutes over three hours long now granted those vlogs are longer than usual um but the typical pages only vlog is like an hour and a half which is still a lot of work i'm just saying that because after vlogging for three hours during the week during the weekend i'm not gonna lie i kinda just wanna take a break but i'm going to show you a little bit of what i did this week in the gaming room all right i'm showered coffee's heated up let me turn on the pcs mac pro is gonna stay off for now but here we go tour time first of all i gotta say i'm very very proud of this what you see might seem basic like certain things but you have to understand like things like the camera over there right there that one thing alone tonight took at least an hour to get it just right to manage the cables to get the positioning like everything you're about to see was done with with passion behind it and please with that said also keep this in mind it's not done you know my setups are never ever complete but for now things are pretty damn good so let's start on this side of the room ignore this work in progress finally took that old thermostat out here are my jellyfish the water is a little cloudy gotta replace it actually it's just gonna flicker in the camera that's gonna frustrate me so leave it off for now but yeah in person trust me it is beautiful i absolutely love those jellyfish and if you want them i'll link them right below treat yourself here's my pacman machine which also has gallica and dig dug on it i love it yeah it's not full size but you know what i think it fills the space quite nicely and if you really want to play it comfortably you simply pull it forward you sit in this chair yeah which mario's currently um sitting in but that's okay and you just play it but yeah it really is cool if you've never played dig dug check it out great game classic right here guys absolute classic and shout out to my uncle kenny i know i know he loves this i'm not looking at what i'm doing so yeah i'm gonna die cool my 2013 mac pro 43 inch 4k display on occasion that will be on in the background just because why not i can i can put like a gradient on in the background or like some kind of fancy screen saver just just to keep the um background of the stream looking good my keurig there it is brand new fridge let's check that out guys i love this fridge it's a little noisy sometimes because it's a countertop fridge so this sounds not going to be as muffled as your typical mini fridge would be like under a desk but you know what you're not going to hear it on stream also i'm not really going to hear it while my headphones are on but there you go there's my mini fridge got a bunch of g fuel stuff happening right here cue light back there hue light back there mario a very large countertop bunch of drink related stuff sugar for coffee uh budget coasters peanuts shot glasses gpu shakers empty and some extra capri sun you gotta love it and this is my tech side so in here i have controllers very cool and check it out my series s xbox series s is indeed in this room love that console some games i still need to play actually i played this one but yeah i still got to play pikmin 3 deluxe and final fantasy 7 remake which is still in the plastic peggy 16. some random stuff like my old pokemon cards maui notebook nes notebook tools hardware and down here is desk related things like remotes and stuff and i actually have some desk organizers coming from amazon tomorrow so that way i can split everything up into their own section i'm pretty hyped for that because i'm all about organization over here is not done so we're not going to talk about that right now over here still empty eventually i want to get like a full-size arcade cabinet right here which i think could fill the space nicely and with that said this light could very well come out but for now it's there and it's kind of fading between colors here are my elgato key lights i love these things currently i only have one on i think because i was giving my dad a demo yeah all right so check this out look how bright this one light can go ready three two one my god why anybody would want their lights that bright on stream is beyond me but you never know i mean come on the fact that they even go that bright is incredible so for me i think i keep each light at about i want to say like five to ten percent opacity of course each each light is going to vary because that light is higher and it's a little further than me since it's above the fork sorry portrait display uh but yeah you can control these via your stream deck which is over here you can control them via the elgato software on windows or you can control everything using the ios app and i'm sure it's on android as well but yeah guys i love these lights absolutely love them i'm not going to go into too much detail right now actually they're lights i'm not there's really nothing else to say but they're really damn cool trust me they're really really cool and if you catch me live on youtube then i'll um do a demo of them hi zero come on come on up so yes i have my streaming pc which is right there in the back connected to this display which is still in portrait orientation at first i wanted to go back to triple displays in landscape but guys i cannot express this enough portrait is the way to go for things like chat rooms it's just a beautiful thing audio technica at 2035 which is currently not connected because i have another xlr cable arriving tomorrow and actually a road was nice enough to sponsor me a new microphone the rode pro caster which is coming very soon not only that but they also offered to sponsor me the psa1 mic arm right here which i just happened by myself so i told them nah sorry i actually just bought one um but thank you in a way but yeah they're gonna send me the processor which i'm very very thankful for and believe me the lighting looks a lot better in person this is just typical camera stuff got two keyboards here this is for the streaming pc as you can see oh and by the way for the first time ever my secondary dell display which is normally over here it's like 23.7 inches i think 23.8 something like that it's actually way over there which might seem ridiculous but it actually makes sense okay so not only do i want more free space on this side of the desk uh which i achieved hi zero hi what are you doing you sam anyway more space and i don't really need the dell display right here because it would have been too crowded believe me i tried but the fact that i can have it over there and i can do everything wirelessly with this mouse which died again i need to charge this mouse or just get a new one i think i think the battery's going but yeah typically it's connected there it goes and i can open up obs before this battery dies again right back there let me just drag it over in real time look at that boom and i can see my stream whether things are working or not and as you can see my camera my sony cam is not working i don't know why i have no idea and it drives me absolutely freaking crazy but that's a guy that's okay go xlr is now over here because my left hand is used for wing my right hand could be free you know if i'm not using my mouse to quickly change the volume of my sliders i have sound effects over here you can hear danny my guy hear that pretty cool i have all my effects here and i have six channels of presets to choose from i got reverb pitch gender control echo effects if i want to talk in those voices hard tune robot megaphone and this is my bleep button which i never really use besides as kind of a joke listen and this i use all the time this is what goexlr calls the cough button and i cough a lot or maybe i clear my throat so i just hold this while making a noise and then the stream can't hear me that's huge this one button is a game changer pun intended and this is kind of a jihado method but it works so this doesn't slide as much first of all i have this on a 3d printed stand i didn't make it i bought it on etsy a while ago because it's on a 3d stand it kind of moves around freely too much so i put it on top of two mouse pads the grip on the bottom right there and the grip on the top that way they're kind of fighting each other and whoops sorry that's that's me making that noise anyway so basically when i'm controlling things um the mixer won't slide back which is very nice and for now i kind of just put my headphones over there there are my two pcs streaming pc and main gaming pc this is a desk i bought specifically to hold my pcs love it incredibly simple incredibly basic nothing fancy about it but it works there's my mouse charger clearly needs charging i actually might just get a new wireless charger i'm sorry a new wireless mouse i mean as much as i love this mouse i don't i don't use it for really gaming um so i'm not really attached to it so i might just get like a cheap logitech speaking of logitech there's a nice segue for you i have another logitech um item up here a logitech webcam so this is pointing towards over here so it's like my b ray back scene or maybe i just want to change the c now and then and while i can over here xbox series s and it's in a switch dock and playstation 4. everything's a mess right now i have another cable management um tray coming tomorrow not really try it's more of a box because check this out if you go under my desk i have two of these cable management boxes i ordered one of them is currently open so i ordered two that way it's easier to route the cables for instance this needs to be pushed in a little more make that nice and tight and eventually i want to cable wrap all these together but i'm just not done yet you know i'm not done so in here is a big old power strip with a lot of stuff connected and in here i have an extension cord with a usb hub as well i checked it out for the first time ever i bought myself a usb hub and tucked it away i've never i've never done that before so currently that usb hub is powering both my keyboard and my mouse and of course i can i can close this but you know like i said i'm not really done but when i am done you just kind of slide it up and it clips into these holes and eventually i'll take these stickers off here's another cable management tray this is simply hiding the cables coming from my tv and other things that i don't want to be seen and i have another one over there which i'll say it again not done yet so basically all of those cables will be going in the third one of this so very nice very very nice you got to keep it clean oh and under the deck deck desk is another govi lighting kit i absolutely love these lights they are just amazing the adhesive is great the app is amazing it's just you know it works it works it's not your typical like chinese led kit this is actually a really really good one and i'll link it right below treat yourself okay here is my nintendo corner and some random things but it's mostly nintendo got all my amiibo lined up right here checked it out over 100 of them love it some animal crossing shadow boxes from my friend jess jess thank you so much that led is currently off because i have to fix it in the app but it works believe me it works just fine mario from my friends chris and tiff and mario and yoshi canvases which i've had for a while love those two and over here just a bunch of random things and my networking stuff is kind of tucked away so it's not really an eyesore and more hue lights and my tv so there you go that's the best i can do with the demo right now it doesn't seem like a lot but it is you know it's okay so my ultimate goal is this and i told my patients this so i'm sorry to repeat myself patrons um i want to have a lot of stuff in here but i don't want it feeling like i have a lot of stuff you know and that is why i like having so much space look at all this open space and of course all of that is temporary the green screen is eventually going to go in the ceiling where i can like drag it down like literally just pull it down and use a green screen camera and i think i'm going to get a second one of these cameras at some point just a forward pointing one for a green screen effects but i am in no rush for that that's whenever uh but yeah check out all this space guys mario's probably coming out of there he just looks i don't know too bulky over there so i have a station over there got a station over here all this open space the closet is very very organized i have everything tucked away and of course the main gaming section with the pcs for the first time ever separate from the actual gaming center of the desk that's huge in itself i love i love the fact that they're they're separated and also i have these cables going under the shimmy pc then everything is being joined together over here which will look better over time hence that extra cable over there so yeah and i promise at some point i'll give you more of a detailed walkthrough of these lights because i love these lights um but i'll do that in time you know i'll do that in time i'm assuming most of you don't care they're lights i love them i think i think they're incredible lights but let's be realistic i'm not i'm not gonna bore you guys with that stuff but yo 200 dollars each not cheap but if you're serious about streaming like i am look into them and i'm sorry about some of the effects you see with lighting on this camera uh i i hate that cameras can get in the way of my showing things but if it wasn't for the camera then i wouldn't be able to show you this stuff you know so you can't you can't have it all i'm just extremely picky i hate i hate when things don't go perfectly but that's life you know that's life and man let me tell you this setup was the definition of things not going perfectly this is not the actual desk i wanted i wanted the glossy whites but unfortunately they were completely sold out autonomous did send me this one it's the matte white they're those stripes again driving me nuts right now and yes this is motorized check it out oh just hit the camera on my tv cool cool cool all right don't do that guys but yeah i have a preset so i can just press one actually i think that's the height i had it out already let's go a little higher i think 29.1 yeah there we go oh lesson learned it's okay these tvs are meant to move they're on a um bracket back there and they're actually built with earthquakes in mind fun fact yes no joke these these uh tv brackets are quite literally built with earthquakes in mind so for whatever reason the house starts shaking a lot this can shake say like crazy and it's not going to go anywhere so i'm actually kind head with twitch twitch is still far ahead with streaming tools and apis and all that stuff that you can um enhance your streams with you know youtube i'll say this again youtube is definitely great for discoverability that is the best word i can use um to describe youtube as a streaming platform discoverability it is so easy to see when someone's live without even trying to see if they're live for example let me load up youtube and look at this i have three subscriptions live gamespot ign and joe so let me click on joe and see what he's doing he's live right now illustrating isn't that cool very very cool let's go to my youtube channel again and just see what ign is doing see look at that now a twitch it's not in my bookmarks bar anymore i was going to show you going to that website is i don't need this i don't even know honestly i forget and this this is my third desk mounted multi-tab organizer from tap up i love these things upon opening the box i gotta say it does feel like somewhat of a cheap product but considering how much it's helped my cable management and the fact that i don't need to drill holes use any kind of adhesive and only use the desk clamp that's huge that is huge in itself actually i'll probably save this for ebay but i'll put it right here for now because i'm sure maui's going to come upstairs and jump in there okay um what am i doing yeah wait where's my xlr cable i definitely need that now i have one already but it's so long like it's really really long because i wasn't sure about my placement of the go xlr but now i am sure like i legit love it there very nice okay um amazon i know that micro hdmi cable is coming tomorrow so i can i can patiently wait for that i have a mouse coming tomorrow just a just a cheap wireless logitech mouse this one hold on blah blah blah blah blah right there nothing fancy but it claims that it has like a three year battery life because it uses the typical logitech unifying receiver now which is cool like i love i love the razer mouse but i just can't rely on it not dying on me because it's not it's not meant to be used for hours upon hours at a time plus it's got lights on it so i'm sure that drains the battery life a little bit oh wait xlr cable oh let's go over here by the natural light delivered today oh out for delivery the xlr cable is still on its way today impressive oh it's like work out because i forgot unlike my other desks in my house this one it's a decent desk but it has such a thick frame going around the edge and unfortunately it interferes with the surface of the desk so i was not able to clamp it even at the biggest setting uh big i guess that's the best way to say yeah um yeah it's just not working now thankfully i'm not the type to give up easily so i'll figure this out over time but in the meantime i've been doing this and these are amazing guys cable management drawer management remote management whatever basically they're a bunch of plastic trays different sizes i actually ended up not using the big ones and i offered to my mom i'm like mom you need this oh yeah see you look at that yes please cool okay mom i think i'll give you most of these i might save a few more for my hardware drawer in here which is a little bit of a mess but as you can see guys look at this something as simple as plastic trays which by the way they do grip on the bottom they make such a huge difference got my flash eyes over there extra webcam um nintendo switch power adapter some adhesive mounts for hanging things on walls cable management over here cable ties all these remotes all these leds i have yes actually that's off and that's off i still need to fix that that fell again last night anyway yes i have a lot of remotes ah yo something so simple can make such a big difference manage yourself clean up your room clean up your workspace you'll feel good trust me okay um xlr cable is still outside so let's go get that i'm feeling better by the way i don't know i'm like i actually feel pretty good right now i did take some congestion medicine so maybe my head was just congested because i definitely have that cloudy feeling which i hate this should essentially i'm going to get a wireless headset because this cable definitely gets a little annoying but yeah these headphones are great all right update so the cable was not long enough to go all the way around unfortunately but thanks to autonomous they included these cable management tools right here we got one two and three so the xlr cable is going across the road psa1 eventually i'm going to manage this more again this microphone is temporary since they're sending me a new one so the cable is going down here across boom boom boom boom boom a little bit of slack here just in case i need to move this back and forth like that part over there and then straight up into the go xlr cool love it now i gotta tuck all this away again dude tanya these boxes are incredible check them out right below they're so useful and of course you can you can fit so much stuff in here look at that isn't that great now of course i'm not done yet i'm not done because i still have a couple more cables to manage but they're not here yet so this is a fantastic start of course let's close this one up temporarily as well that one's a lot easier because it's holding far less but cool this is by far my most organized gaming setup yet and it's also very smart because i got the smart leds above me i mean you want to calm smart this is a standing desk which yes i will be using on occasion especially for vr my next gaming pc will actually be built with virtual reality in mind so picture it guys when i'm standing doing vr i can quite literally have a preset specifically for vr which is amazing press two three or four desk goes up to the optimal height and i do my thing and because i have so much room for activities in here you get it it's just it's perfect it's perfect my next priority and by the way i did not end up needing this so now i have an extra display port cable 10 foot so that's good i'll put the downstairs okay my next priority is the sony camera i gotta get that working cable is just dead i guess while i'm hoping the cable is dead and it's not the actual camera i doubt it's the camera itself and that cable arrives tomorrow so wish me luck okay it is 6 48 p.m i've had nothing to eat story of my life let's order dinner god i wish his camera was wider this lens it's a great camera but it's so cropped ironically the sony a6100 over here the one i use for my streams has interchangeable lenses so in a way that camera is better for vlogging but not really because this camera is built quite literally with vlogging in mind so you can't have it all right and i'm not ready to vlog again with a dslr it's just too big maui stay out of the drawer my dude okay so strasbourg pizza let me show you let me show you i'm just gonna go for a simple dinner guys i was taking chicken parm but now let's go with um medium or large let's go let's go with a medium pizza medium is six slices i don't say i'm trying to continue to slim down i i don't need a large pizza and that is my 11 30. so with my discount the pizza is going to cost me a few bucks of course i gotta get an appetizer see that's where it balances out too like if you're not gonna get a large pizza then get an appetizer mozzarella sticks there are okay their poppers are good broccoli cheese bites are those good i don't want fries that's too much because i know a lot of it's going to go to waste oh wait no is the logitech m705 an extremely basic mouse an extremely basic mouse but i'll say it again the main reason i got this mouse is because i want something very basic i want something that i know is going to last for a while in regards to battery life and i don't charge it like every two nights grab a quick screwdriver for this oh traditional batteries how cute oh my god it's so light and so small but that's okay i don't need anything fancy you know it's actually pretty sharp looking there it is the logitech m705 not bad not bad slide the cover off from the bottom let's open up these batteries the positive side is on the same side each side that is very interesting yeah you don't see that often now we should have power cool we have power there might be a unifying receiver on this computer ready i forget now where is the unifying receiver so it is near the batteries so definitely do that oh here we go look at that you can barely see it it's kind of tucked in right there let's pull it out boom let's plug it into the shimmy pc all right that's plugged in and we should get some kind of input yep there it goes cool boom right there i love when a product just works and is that not a beautiful wallpaper and it looks great over there too so portrait landscape you gotta love it okay so i knew that was gonna work let's get some lights up in here there you go much better but the true test is this will this work please work i need you to work because it has to be a cable issue i mean it has to be right i don't know what else it could be unless the micro hdmi mechanism is weekend i'm not gonna lie i kinda just wanna take a break but i'm going to show you a little bit of what i did this week in the gaming room all right i'm showered coffee's heated up let me turn on the pcs mac pro is gonna stay off for now but here we go tour time first of all i gotta say i'm very very proud of this what you see might seem basic like certain things but you have to understand like things like the camera over there right there that one thing alone tonight took at least an hour to get it just right to manage the cables to get the positioning like everything you're about to see was done with with passion behind it and please with that said also keep this in mind it's not done you know my setups are never ever complete but for now things are pretty damn good so let's start on this side of the room ignore this work in progress finally took that old thermostat out here are my jellyfish the water is a little cloudy gotta replace it actually it's just gonna flicker in the camera that's gonna frustrate me so leave it off for now but yeah in person trust me it is beautiful i absolutely love those jellyfish and if you want them i'll link them right below treat yourself here's my pacman machine which also has gallica and dig dug on it i love it yeah it's not full size but you know what i think it fills the space quite nicely and if you really want to play it comfortably you simply pull it forward you sit in this chair yeah which mario's currently um sitting in but that's okay and you just play it but yeah it really is cool if you've never played dig dug check it out great game classic right here guys absolute classic and shout out to my uncle kenny i know i know he loves this i'm not looking at what i'm doing so yeah i'm gonna die cool my 2013 mac pro 43 inch 4k display on occasion that will be on in the background just because why not i can i can put like a gradient on in the background or like some kind of fancy screen saver just just to keep the um background of the stream looking good my keurig there it is brand new fridge let's check that out guys i love this fridge it's a little noisy sometimes because it's a countertop fridge so this sounds not going to be as muffled as your typical mini fridge would be like under a desk but you know what you're not going to hear it on stream also i'm not really going to hear it while my headphones are on but there you go there's my mini fridge got a bunch of g fuel stuff happening right here cue light back there hue light back there mario a very large countertop bunch of drink related stuff sugar for coffee uh budget coasters peanuts shot glasses gpu shakers empty and some extra capri sun you gotta love it and this is my tech side so in here i have controllers very cool and check it out my series s xbox series s is indeed in this room love that console some games i still need to play actually i played this one but yeah i still got to play pikmin 3 deluxe and final fantasy 7 remake which is still in the plastic peggy 16. some random stuff like my old pokemon cards maui notebook nes notebook tools hardware and down here is desk related things like remotes and stuff and i actually have some desk organizers coming from amazon tomorrow so that way i can split everything up into their own section i'm pretty hyped for that because i'm all about organization over here is not done so we're not going to talk about that right now over here still empty eventually i want to get like a full-size arcade cabinet right here which i think could fill the space nicely and with that said this light could very well come out but for now it's there and it's kind of fading between colors here are my elgato key lights i love these things currently i only have one on i think because i was giving my dad a demo yeah all right so check this out look how bright this one light can go ready three two one my god why anybody would want their lights that bright on stream is beyond me but you never know i mean come on the fact that they even go that bright is incredible so for me i think i keep each light at about i want to say like five to ten percent opacity of course each each light is going to vary because that light is higher and it's a little further than me since it's above the fork sorry portrait display uh but yeah you can control these via your stream deck which is over here you can control them via the elgato software on windows or you can control everything using the ios app and i'm sure it's on android as well but yeah guys i love these lights absolutely love them i'm not going to go into too much detail right now actually they're lights i'm not there's really nothing else to say but they're really damn cool trust me they're really really cool and if you catch me live on youtube then i'll um do a demo of them hi zero come on come on up so yes i have my streaming pc which is right there in the back connected to this display which is still in portrait orientation at first i wanted to go back to triple displays in landscape but guys i cannot express this enough portrait is the way to go for things like chat rooms it's just a beautiful thing audio technica at 2035 which is currently not connected because i have another xlr cable arriving tomorrow and actually a road was nice enough to sponsor me a new microphone the rode hi what are you doing you sam anyway more space and i don't really need the dell display right here because it would have been too crowded believe me i tried but the fact that i can have it over there and i can do everything wirelessly with this mouse which died again i need to charge this mouse or just get a new one i think i think the battery's going but yeah typically it's connected there it goes and i can open up obs before this battery dies again right back there let me just drag it over in real time look at that boom and i can see my stream whether things are working or not and as you can see my camera my sony cam is not working i don't know why i have no idea and it drives me absolutely freaking crazy but that's a guy that's okay go xlr is now over here because my left hand is used for wing my right hand could be free you know if i'm not using my mouse to quickly change the volume of my sliders i have sound effects over here you can hear danny my guy hear that pretty cool i have all my effects here and i have six channels of presets to choose from i got reverb pitch gender control echo effects if i want to talk in those voices hard tune robot megaphone and this is my bleep button which i never really use besides as kind of a joke listen and this i use all the time this is what goexlr calls the cough button and i cough a lot or maybe i clear my throat so i just hold this while making a noise and then the stream can't hear me that's huge this one button is a game changer pun intended and this is kind of a jihado method but it works so this doesn't slide as much first of all i have this on a 3d printed stand i didn't make it i bought it on etsy a while ago because it's on a 3d stand it kind of moves around freely too much so i put it on top of two mouse pads the grip on the bottom right there and the grip on the top that way they're kind of fighting each other and whoops sorry that's that's me making that noise anyway so basically when i'm controlling things um the mixer won't slide back which is very nice and for now i kind of just put my headphones over there there are my two pcs streaming pc and main gaming pc this is a desk i bought specifically to hold my pcs love it incredibly simple incredibly basic nothing fancy about it but it works there's my mouse charger clearly needs charging i actually might just get a new wireless charger i'm sorry a new wireless mouse i mean as much as i love this mouse i don't i don't use it for really gaming um so i'm not really attached to it so i might just get like a cheap logitech speaking of logitech there's a nice segue for you i have another logitech um item up here a logitech webcam so this is pointing towards over here so it's like my b ray back scene or maybe i just want to change the c now and then and while i can over here xbox series s and it's in a switch dock and playstation 4. everything's a mess right now i have another cable management um tray coming tomorrow not really try it's more of a box because check this out if you go under my desk i have two of these cable management boxes i ordered one of them is currently open so i ordered two that way it's easier to route the cables for instance this needs to be pushed in a little more make that nice and tight and eventually i want to cable wrap all these together but i'm just not done yet you know i'm not done so in here is a big old power strip with a lot of stuff connected and in here i have an extension cord with a usb hub as well i checked it out for the first time ever i bought myself a usb hub and tucked it away i've never i've never done that before so currently that usb hub is powering both my keyboard and my mouse and of course i can i can close this but you know like i said i'm not really done but when i am done you just kind of slide it up and it clips into these holes and eventually i'll take these stickers off here's another cable management tray this is simply hiding the cables coming from my tv and other things that i don't want to be seen and i have another one over there which i'll say it again not done yet so basically all of those cables will be going in the third one of this so very nice very very nice you got to keep it clean oh and under the deck deck desk is another govi lighting kit i absolutely love these lights they are just amazing the adhesive is great the app is amazing it's just you know it works it works it's not your typical like chinese led kit this is actually a really really good one and i'll link it right below treat yourself okay here is my nintendo corner and some random things but it's mostly nintendo got all my amiibo lined up right here checked it out over 100 of them love it some animal crossing shadow boxes from my friend jess jess thank you so much that led is currently off because i have to fix it in the app but it works believe me it works just fine mario from my friends chris and tiff and mario and yoshi canvases course all of that is temporary the green screen is eventually going to go in the ceiling where i can like drag it down like literally just pull it down and use a green screen camera and i think i'm going to get a second one of these cameras at some point just a forward pointing one for a green screen effects but i am in no rush for that that's whenever uh but yeah check out all this space guys mario's probably coming out of there he just looks i don't know too bulky over there so i have a station over there got a station over here all this open space the closet is very very organized i have everything tucked away and of course the main gaming section with the pcs for the first time ever separate from the actual gaming center of the desk that's huge in itself i love i love the fact that they're they're separated and also i have these cables going under the shimmy pc then everything is being joined together over here which will look better over time hence that extra cable over there so yeah and i promise at some point i'll give you more of a detailed walkthrough of these lights because i love these lights um but i'll do that in time you know i'll do that in time i'm assuming most of you don't care they're lights i love them i think i think they're incredible lights but let's be realistic i'm not i'm not gonna bore you guys with that stuff but yo 200 dollars each not cheap but if you're serious about streaming like i am look into them and i'm sorry about some of the effects you see with lighting on this camera uh i i hate that cameras can get in the way of my showing things but if it wasn't for the camera then i wouldn't be able to show you this stuff you know so you can't you can't have it all i'm just extremely picky i hate i hate when things don't go perfectly but that's life you know that's life and man let me tell you this setup was the definition of things not going perfectly this is not the actual desk i wanted i wanted the glossy whites but unfortunately head with twitch twitch is still far ahead with streaming tools and apis and all that stuff that you can um enhance your streams with you know youtube i'll say this again youtube is definitely great for discoverability that is the best word i can use um to describe youtube as a streaming platform discoverability it is so easy to see when someone's live without even trying to see if they're live for example let me load up youtube and look at this i have three subscriptions live gamespot ign and joe so let me click on joe and see what he's doing he's live right now illustrating isn't that cool very very cool let's go to my youtube channel again and just see what ign is doing see look at that now a twitch it's not in my bookmarks bar anymore i was going to show you going to that website is somewhat of a cheap product but considering how much it's helped my cable management and the fact that i don't need to drill holes use any kind of adhesive and only use the desk clamp that's huge that is huge in itself actually i'll probably save this for ebay but i'll put it right here for now because i'm sure maui's going to come upstairs and jump in there okay um what am i doing yeah wait where's my xlr cable i definitely need that now i have one already but it's so long like it's really really long because i wasn't sure about my placement of the go xlr but now i am sure like i legit love it there very nice okay um amazon i know that micro hdmi cable is coming tomorrow so i can i can patiently wait for that i have a mouse coming tomorrow just a just a cheap wireless logitech mouse work out because i forgot unlike my other desks in my house this one it's a decent desk but it has such a thick frame going around the edge and unfortunately it interferes with the surface of the desk so i was not able to clamp it even at the biggest setting uh big i guess that's the best way to say yeah um yeah it's just not working now thankfully i'm not the type to give up easily so i'll figure this out over time but in the meantime i've been doing this and these are amazing guys cable management drawer management remote management whatever basically they're a bunch of plastic trays different sizes i actually ended up not using the big ones and i offered to my mom i'm like mom you need this oh yeah see you look at that yes please cool okay mom i think i'll give you most of these i might save a few more for my hardware drawer in here which is a little bit of a mess but as you can see guys look at this something as simple as plastic trays which by the way they do grip on the bottom they make such a huge difference got my flash eyes over there extra webcam um nintendo switch power adapter some adhesive mounts for hanging things on walls cable management over here cable ties all these remotes all these leds i have yes actually that's off and that's off i still need to fix that that fell again last night anyway yes i have a lot of remotes ah yo something so simple can make such a big difference manage yourself clean up your room clean up your workspace you'll feel good trust me okay um xlr cable is still outside so let's go get that i'm feeling better by the way i manage this more again this microphone is temporary since they're sending me a new one so the cable is going down here across boom boom boom boom boom a little bit of slack here just in case i need to move this back and forth like that part over there and then straight up into the go xlr cool love it now i gotta tuck all this away again dude tanya these boxes are incredible check them out right organized gaming setup yet and it's also very smart because i got the smart leds above me i mean you want to calm smart this is a standing desk which yes i will be using on occasion especially for vr my next gaming pc will actually be built with virtual reality in mind so picture it guys when i'm standing doing vr i can quite literally have a preset specifically for vr which is amazing press two three or four desk goes up to the optimal height and i do my thing and because i have so much room for activities in here you get it it's just it's perfect it's perfect my next priority and by the way i did not end up needing this so now i have an extra display port cable 10 foot so that's good i'll put the downstairs okay my next priority is the sony camera i gotta get that working cable is just eat story of my life let's order dinner god i wish his camera was wider this lens it's a great camera but it's so cropped ironically the sony a6100 over here the one i use for my streams has interchangeable lenses so in a way that camera is better for vlogging but not really because this camera is built quite literally with vlogging in mind so you can't have it all right and i'm not ready to vlog again with a dslr it's just too big maui stay out of the drawer my dude okay so strasbourg pizza let me show you let me show you i'm just gonna go for a simple dinner guys i was taking chicken small but that's okay i don't need anything fancy you know it's actually pretty sharp looking there it is the logitech m705 not bad not bad slide the cover off from the bottom let's open up these batteries the positive side is on the same side each side that is very interesting yeah you don't see that often now we should have power cool we have power there might be a unifying receiver on this computer ready i forget now where is the unifying receiver so it is near the batteries so definitely do that oh here we go look at that you can barely see it it's kind of tucked in right there let's pull it out boom let's plug it into the shimmy pc all right that's plugged in and we should get some kind of input yep there it goes cool boom right there i love when a product just works and is that true test is this will this work please work i need you to work because it has to be a cable issue i mean it has to be right i don't know what else it could be unless the micro hdmi mechanism is
