Amazon Announcements: Kindle Touch, Kindle Touch 3G, and Kindle Fire
Today, Amazon unveiled several new devices, including the Kindle Touch, Kindle Touch 3G, and the highly anticipated Kindle Fire. The company made significant updates to its e-reader lineup, making it more appealing to consumers.
Firstly, let's talk about the Kindle Touch. This device is a major upgrade from its predecessors, featuring an e-ink display and a new touchscreen interface. Amazon has ditched the keyboard in favor of this new touch-based experience. While not revolutionary, the Kindle Touch still offers an excellent reading experience, making it a solid choice for those seeking an e-reader with an e-ink display.
The pricing for the Kindle Touch is quite competitive, with a base price of $99. However, if you want to avoid the special offers (ads) on the home screen, you'll likely pay a bit more. The Kindle Touch 3G model, which includes full unlimited access to 3G worldwide, will retail at $150.
Both the Kindle Touch and Kindle Touch 3G are available for pre-order today, with shipping scheduled for late November. Now, let's move on to the Kindle Fire, which is set to be a game-changer in the world of tablets.
The Kindle Fire is Amazon's first foray into the tablet market, offering a range of features that will surely appeal to consumers. With its $199 price point, this device is expected to fly off the shelves. The Kindle Fire boasts impressive specs, including a processor and screen that are top-notch, making it a great option for those looking for an affordable tablet experience.
In terms of pricing, the Kindle Fire's $199 price tag makes it an attractive option for consumers on a budget. Considering the HP Touchpad was selling at $100 just last year, Amazon's Kindle Fire is expected to be a huge seller, especially given its competitive price point.
Lastly, Amazon also announced the release of the cheapest Kindle ever, retailing at $79. This device is a hybrid between the Kindle Touch and the existing Kindle 3 model, featuring a few extra buttons but no touchscreen interface. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of its more expensive counterparts, this e-reader offers an excellent reading experience for those seeking a budget-friendly option.
The new Amazon devices are now available for pre-order, with shipping scheduled for late November or early December, depending on the model.
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys so today Amazon availed to whopping four new products and the first of which is the Amazon Kindle Fire now this is the long awaited Amazon tablet and as you would expect it is a proper tablet so no more eing displays like on the previous Kindles uh so of course you will find a 7in full color full touchscreen display uh but as far as the hardware goes it's actually really quite similar to the Blackberry playbook and that similarity goes more than skin deep as of course inside internally you will find some similar specs including a dual core processor uh now I'm a big fan of dual processors I really think that it's pretty much a necessity for tablets you really need that extra power to be able to handle all the video and the multitasking all the kinds of stuff that you do want to do on a tablet and as far as the software goes it is running a heavily customized version of Android so while I didn't really name any particular build of Android most likely 2.1 or 2.2 it's been totally redesigned from the ground up for the Kindle so don't expect to be able to pull up your standard Android menus or anything like that whoever it will be able to use Android applications via the am Amazon app store on top of that we'll also be able to use all the other Amazon Services of course the Kindle e-reader you'll be able to use Amazon Cloud Music and the list goes on and on and on but it is going to be a full tablet the real kicker though is the price the Amazon Kindle Fire will be available for only $199 now we sure it's going to be missing out on a couple of features for example cameras microphones that kind of thing however on the whole of it all the major specs you know the processor the screen all the real stuff that you're going to be thing if you want really a tablet whever the Kindle Fire is going to be the way to go however if you are interested in a Kindle you really like in display the Kindle Touch as well as the Kindle Touch 3G are going to be pretty solid uh so as far as the pricing which is really where these pick up the Kindle Touch will be available for $99 that's a pretty good price for a tablet or rather a e-reader I got all these tablets on the brain I hope that will be with their special offers aka the ads on the home screen and that kind of thing so the final price for if you don't want the ads will probably
